SNP Heursitic run - Lot size of Purchase Requisitions

Hi,
when we run network Heuristics we get Preqs with decimals. As far as I can see we have maintained the lot size correctly and even the rounding value. Still I get Preqs with 0,054 EA, but I'm expecting to get 1 EA.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks,
Lars

Thanks for your help, Aparna.
Seems like I forgot to specify that the issue was related to the PReqs in R/3, created by the Heuristic run in APO.
However, I think we found the problem. The rounding value from Material Master was not CIF'ed over til APO. When we maintained the rounding value manually in the product master in APO we got the result we wanted.
Thanks!
Lars

  • SNP Heuristic recreation and adding of Purchase requisition

    Dear All
    Thanking In advance,
    Critical Issue
We have scheduled a heuristic run for 7 FERT materials,
Run was successful in simulation version, When we take a re-run
(heuristic) on the same data,It is adding the quantities of the
forecast to the same purchase requisition for only two FERTS, for
others it is deleting and recreating purchase requisition same as the
forecast requirement. This in turn is leading to doubling of
requirement for these two FERTS at the lower BOM materials.
e.g.If demand is 10 and we run heuristic in first run it will create 10
purchase requisitions, if we Re-run heuristic on the same data it is
adding 10 more quantity for same purchase requisition.
Before generating the requisitios it will show the message Invalid order and help of which shows "Order does not exist in Live-Cache"
What could be the reason for this?

  • Run MRP and Collective Purchase Requisition

Hi all, I have a question for all. Very be kindly when receive your answer.
When I run MRP, the system will be generate one Purchase Requisition for one item in BOM (10 items in BOM). So, I want to collect all requirement in BOM to only one Purchase Requisition. Does the system can support for this scenario???

So the stock of B is zero and we don't have material B for MO 1. I don't know why SAP does't have keep B and good issue only 4 for CO department. I wonder that why MRP generate one PR for component B instead of two PR.

    Dear Hoai,
What is the strategy maintained for header materials, i guess it is MTO ( make to order )
If the strategy is MTO then go to MRP - 4 view for all components and make it as 1
    Then check the result

  • MRP : Calculating lot size without purchase orders

    Hello,
We have some materials with weekly replenisment.
We want to calculate the quantity by following the formula : Maximun stock - actual stock.
The lot size procedure  HB do something similar but takes into account the existing fixed receipt elements,
How can I avoid to take that stock into account? any other characteristic? any user exit ? Any badi?
    Thank you

    Ander,
Check BADI - MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA, this may be helpful in achieving your requirement.

  • SNP Purchase requisitions

    Hi
i have a situation where in one week the SNP planning run creates only one purchase requsition with single item for the requirement and in another it creates multiple purchase requisitions with single items...
iam unable to understand how the multiple purchase requisitions are created..can you share your ideas,
    Thanks

    HI,
Yes offcource we can get multiple purchase req from SNP heuristics. here is some scenarios.
    1) it depends on lot size settings in product master. in your case you may be getting multiple orders of fixed lot size since demand qty is more then that of fixed qty
    2) if you maintained multilple sourcing( inbound quota arrangement) you will get multilple purchase req.
    Check above settings carefully..

  • Purchase requisition to be created when Inspection lot is released

    Hello,
A Purchase Requisition need to be created (for external services) at the time of Inspection lot generation. I tried using the Inspection Plan operation control key with 'Extenally processed processing' with Info record, Pur Org details.. etc. Still, when Inspection lot is released, Purchase requisition is not generated.
    Any clue?
    Thanks
    JK

Can you explain your business scenario.
In standard QM you cannot create purchase requisition from inspection lot creation.
    1. You can use Userexit QAAT001  to create purchase req if needed.
    2. Refer to "external processing in QM'  if you want to create Purchase req during production.

  • Sufficient stock but MRP create planned order and purchase requisition .

    Hi Expert,
After MRP run planned order and purchase requisition created . but the problem is for child material sufficient is there but still PR and plnd order is created .
MRP type PD, LOT size EX,Strategy group 10, for testing purpose I made safety stock 0, min lot size 0 , max lot size 0.
I cant find the cause why MRP create PR and Pland order for the material which has sufficient stock. Please help.

    Dear Anirban
could you check the following master data value:
Lot size -> MB Monthly ( only for test)
    Rounding value -> null
    Strategy 40 MTS.
You can try with this setting in order to figure out what is the problem.
You can check also orizzon planning and re-scheduling (set to 999).
Let me know if i have been useful for you

  • Combining multiple planned orders into single purchase requisition

    Hi Gurus,
could anyone please tell me how to convert multiple planned orders generated during MRP run into a single purchase requisition? Also, is there any other way of getting single purchase requisition fcreated after MRP run for a procured item which is part of multiple BOMs?
    Thanks and regards,
    Abhik

    Hi,
Conversion of Multiple planned order to single Purchase requisition is not possible.
But you can have a single Pur.Req for Multiple requirements.
    You can do this by:
    1. Individual/collective indicator "2" collective requirements for the Header Material so that you will get your dependent requirements clubbed together.
    2. Period Lot sizing : Daily/weekly/monthly Lot size so that system will club the entire period requirements and propose a single lot.
    3. for low value materials you can have Reorder Point planning also.
    Hope this helps..

  • Purchase requisitions are not created for Component by MRP

    Hi,
I have created planned orders for assy. When I run the MRP the purchase requisitions are not created by  MRP for the components. If I check the planned order the components tab is showing all the raw materials list as per the BOM. The master data tab shows the BOM,Routing,Production version etc. But when I run the MRP the components planned orders/purchase requisitions are not created.  There is no stocks available for the components in the plant, still the purchase requisition are not created by MRP.
I have tried in both transactions MD01 and MD02.
I could notice one thing. Supoose if I enter 31.12.2009 is the order finish date, the system creates exception mesage 10- Rescheduling in with proposed date 01.12.2009.  Why the system is propsoing rescheduling in with date 01.12.2009 which past date.
    Please sugest.
    thanks and regards
    Murugesan

    Hi,
I am using MRP type PD  for assy and components. There is no planned orders for assy.
If I run MD02 the planned orders created for assy and purchase requisition are created for raw materials. But if I run MRP in MD01 neither  the planned orders nor the purchase requisitions created.
I tried the Control keys NETCH,NEUPL but still the planned order and purchase requisitions are not created if I run using MD01.
    Please suggest.
    thanks and regards

  • MRP Put Purchase Requisition date one day before the Independant Req

    Hi Experts,
There one  Independant Req per month dated the 1st day of the month.  When I run the MD02, the Purchase Requisition is placed the 1st day of the month. we do not maintain Planned delivery time. We would to have as Purchase Requisition date ; the last date of the previous month.
    We have :
    01.12.2010     PurRqs     0010011236/00010
    01.12.2010     IndReq     ZLS1
    We would like to have
    30.11.2010     PurRqs     0010011236/00010
    01.12.2010     IndReq     ZLS1
Pl explain me what to do!
    Thank you for your help!
    Rgds
    Thibaut

    Thibaut,
The easiest way to offset the date of the supply element from the date of the demand element by one day is to put one day into "Goods receipt processing time" in the Material master of each material.  (purchasing tab or MRP2 tab).

  • Two Purchase Requisitions created on MRP for one Sales Order

    Hi,
A Sales Order has been created with one schedule line and one delivery date. When MRP is run it creates 2 Purchase Requisitions. The material in the Sales Order is a Prepack Material and has a component attached in the BOM. Please advice as to why the order is splitting when MRP is run and also why 2 PR's are created.
    Thank you for your help.

Please check in OVZG................assembly type........if u maintained .3 or 4. It may be the reason
Dynamic assembly order ---SAP HELP DOCUMENT
If you create a sales order for a material with the 'assembly processing' technique, the system carries out an availability check for the components needed for the assembly. Depending on the results of the availability check, either one or several procurement elements are created. The quantity for a one-time delivery and/or the next possible deadline for a full delivery and/or a delivery proposal with then ext possible deadline are displayed on the availabililty control screen.

  • Bom explosion in purchase requisition using BAPi

    Hello All,
Is it possible to explode a BOM in a purchase requisition using a functional module.
    Vivek

    Rajen,
I have a material on which when I run MRP I get purchase requisitions with two different production version.
In one purchase requisition I can see the BOM components and while on the other one I dont see BOM components.
If I pass these two Purchase requisitions in EBAN table I find that RSNUM is blank for the latter case.
If I go in this purchase requisition in change mode and explode the BOM and save, I can see BOM components.
Also If I refresh EBAN table after this activity, I see the RSNUM field is populated.
    I hope this helps.

  • Generating alerts in Purchase Requisition = 3*Lot size of material

    Hi Experts,
We want to create alerts in SNP.
    Below is the condition.
Heuristics for multiple product-location will run in background.
After the Purchase Requisitions are created, we want to compare the quantity of created purchase requisition at each time bucket with lot size maintained for that product-location.
Alert should get generated if the PR qty is >= 3*lot size of that product-location.
is there any user exist or function module avaialble to call the tabel which contains rounding profile/lot size details in APO?
    Thanks for looking at it,,
    Rgds/
    Jay

    Jayprakash,
You can extract the Lot Size values using the macro function MATLOC()
MATLOC( 'FIELD_NAME' ; <'product'> ;  <'location'> ; <'version'> ) returns the content of a numerical field in the location/product master record of the specified product and location. The arguments for product, location, and version are optional. If you do not specify an argument for the product and/or location, the system uses the current product/location. However, it is better for performance reasons to use the functions ACT_LOCATION and ACT_PRODUCT. For example, MATLOC( 'BSTMA' ; ACT_PRODUCT ;  ACT_LOCATION ) returns the maximum lot size for this location product.
In your case you can use:
MATLOC( 'BSTFE' ; ACT_PRODUCT ;  ACT_LOCATION ), assuming you are using Fixed LOT Size. You can store this value in a layout variable 'V' and raise alerts based on condition:
IF ( KF for PREQ > 3 * Layout Variable V) RAISE Alert
    Hope this helps
    Cheers!

  • Automatic Purchase Requisition Creation in MRP run

    Hi,
    1. I create a Sales Order for quantity 20 of main material MAT which has two sub-components - COMP1 and COMP2. The plant in which this sales order is being created does not have any stock quantitiy of the material or its sub-components. For quantity 20 of the main material, quantities required of the sub-components are 40 and 60 respectively.
    2. I run MRP using transaction MD03 for the sub-components. This created purchase requisitions for the sub-components automatically. But, I see that the system creates only one purchase requisition of quantity 40 for COMP1 but two purchase requisitions for COMP2 each having quantity 60.
Can you please tell me why is the system creating two purchase requisitions for COMP2?
    Thank you,

    Hi Janakiraman,
I compared the parameters - Safety stock, Lotsize, Maximum Lot Size, Reorder point - between the two components but found all the values to be same.
The only difference I found in the parameter values was...
For COMP2 (the one for which 2 PRs were generated) 'Special Procurement' field was blank
For COMP1 this field had the value 4A which means "STO from X101 plant"
Do you have any idea what could be the reason?
    Thank you.
