SNP is not picking transportation lane

A valid transportation lane exists for a material that is sourced by DC B from Plant A.
A valid transporation lanes exists between these two however SNP Run does not pick the transporation lane and a Pur Req is created without a source iniside it.

Make sure you have  Product maintained for both source and target location.
/SAPAPO/MAT1
Also check if any Blocking Indicator for Source of Supply is set in TL(/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1 - Master Data -> Transportation Lane -> Transportation Lane )

    Hello,
    I am running SNP Heurisitics and it is not recognizing transportation lane and just proposing Purchase requisition without a source of supply.
    A simple supply chain looks like this:
    MAT1 at LOCNO1 sourced from VENDOR1.
    Transportation lane VENDOR1 --> LOCNO1.
    Inbound Quota for location Locno1 partnered location being vendor1.
    I have demand of 1000 units and SNP Heurisitics proposes 1000 purchase requisitions ( AG ).
    I run SNP Heurisitics or SNP Optimizer but both solutions do not recognize the source of Supply ( TL  or Inbound ).
    However when I run CTM, CTM recognizes the transportation lane ( source of supply ) and creates a SNP PREQ ( EA).
    Can someone help to see what I am missing. Thank you.

    Thanks for the reply. Validity dates are okay and the procurement type is set external procurement ( F ). However, I do not have external procurement relationship. Just using a transportation lane created manually.

    Hi folks,
    The issue is like this :
    We have a weekly workorders upload program from legacy systems to SAP-APO. The legacy planners send a .CSV file containing material-wise workroders. A customised zee program picks these quantities & writes them in Prod.planned keyfigures in SNP planning book. This process is done for the manufacturing locations only.
    Lately workorders for two particular material M1 & M2 had failed to get upload. It gives the error 'NO VALID SOURCE OF SUPPLY COULD BE FOUND' in its Job log. We did some debugging & found that for successful materials the  TRPID is getting generated in the table /SAPAPO/V_TRPROD  whereas this TRPID is missing for M1 & M2. Why this is happening is our main concern. We tried deleting the PPM & creating this again, assuming that the PPMID is the precursor for generating this TRPID, but this yielded no results.

    We have deleted their PPM & re-created them to cross-check if the PPMID KEY is the trigger for generating the TRPID key. This didn't work!
    Please let us know in case someone faced a similar issue.

    Yes Anand.
    We deleted the PPM & created it again, which didn't work.
    Later on we deleted the product itself from APO & re-CIFed it from R3 & then re-created the PPM.
    The PPMID which was missing earlier is now getting created! However no luck with the TRPID.
    Why this TRPID is not getting generated in our only concern

  • SNP Heuristics is not picking up contracts as source of supply

    Hi Experts,
      I have a strange situation here. I have integrated a vendor contract with APO, which has created an external procurement relationship and a valid transportation lane. When I create a receipt element manually through /n/sapapo/rrp3, the source of supply is determined rightly to this vendor and receipt is created.....but when I run location SNP heuristics interactively, system generates receipt element without any reference to this source of supply. Expectation is creation of receipt element with reference to vendor and contract...
    System release is SCM 5.1 with ECC 6
    Am I missing something?....please let me have your inputs...

       Thank you for your response.
    I have checked the note, but it is applicable till SCM 500 SP 13. Our's is SCM 5.1 and this is inclusive I suppose. As per the SAP SCM standard documentation, external procurement relationship between vendor and receiving plant can be created through following 3 docuements:
    1. Purchase infor record
    2. Scheduling agreement
    3. Contracts
    Additionally, as per documentation, even source list between plant and vendors can be integrated by enabling the same through R/3 transaction 'CIFPUCUST01'.
       I have worked with first two and SNP considers these for source determination. When I tried to integrate the contract, though it is creating TL between 'vendor --> receiving plant' and an active external procurement relationship, SNP is not found considering this for source determination. When I tried to use the source list for creating TL and esternal procurement relationship, the same is not creating any.
    What type of contracts can be used for SNP planning and what else required to be done for integrating source list? I have enabled source list in R/3 material master. Source list is maintained as 'MRP relevant' in R/3.

  • SNP heuristics and optimiser using transport lane validity dates

    I am using APO SNP 5.1.
    In particular I am trying to use the SNP heuristics and optimiser for supply planning.
    Can anyone confirm whether transport lane validity dates are respected by (a) SNP heuristics and (b) SNP optimiser, ie no transport requisitions will be created during times when the transport lane is not 'open' in terms of validity dates.

    Irrespective of the SNP planning engine you are using, a t-lane will only be considered if the t-lane is active as per the validity dates.

  • How to use snp heuristic with two direction transportation lanes?

    Dear Expert,
    now, i want to run snp plan for two location 1000 and 2000 with heuristic method.
    at the difference point of time, i run difference snp plan. for example, this month i run snp with transportation lane from 1000> 2000 for product A113 and A124. but in three next month i want to run snp with transportation lane from 2000-> 1000 for A113, A124 and A224.
    so i don't know how to config snp to do this. 'cause i know with two direction transportation lane the system will have a loop.
    please help me.

    If you just use location heuristic, the system is OK with the cycles. You can just run it.
    Even if you use network heuristic, the heuristic can also run. The only problem is that the low level code may not be correctly determined, which cause the sequence of the locations incorrect.
    And you also have the following options:
    1)Block the unused the transportaion lane when you want to switch to the other way.
    2)Use BADI /SAPAPO/PWB_SOS method PWB_USEX_SOS to filter the unused transportation lane.

  • SNP-- LSMW-- Transportation Lane

    When we are doing LSMW for Transporation Lane creation in APO SNP, system unable to recongize the Pop-Up screen, due to that its not updating record.
    It showing all values after converted data, but, when system unable to feed the value to populate the sub screen.
    Kindly guide to overcome this problem.

    Hi Venkat,
    LSMW does not recognize pop up, to avoid the pop-up you need to check the flags fix trsp duration and fix trsp distance and enter a value for both (dummy value in case you dont require any of these fields), the pop-up generate proposal will not appear.
    But I think creating transportation lane using BAPI is a better and faster option in case you have got large number of lanes.

  • Transportation Lanes Deletion

    We have a transportation lane established between 2 DCs. Now there is a change in supplying DC and a new DC will be supplying these products.
    I am attempting deletion of existing transportation lanes. The end gaol is to establish a new transportation lane and have SNP pick that automatically instead of the existing lane.
    I deleted all orders using RLCDELETE. However I am still getting an error message while deleting existing transportation lane that says "Orders Still Exist".
    I was wondering if there any utility that shows the orders on that transportaion lane.

    I guess there are some livecache order exist in the system for those TL.
    Please check with tcode  WUF and try to delete them by /SAPAPO/SDORDER_DEL
    /SAPAPO/DELETE_PP_ORDER
    and let us know if you are not able to delete it by above report with order details.

  • Automatic creation of transportation lanes betwen intercompany plants

    Hello Experts,
      I need to create transportation lanes automatically through integration model between two intercompany plants. The relation between these two plants are of vendor--> customer in ECC and the documents used are of sales / PO type. Source list is availalbe for the purchasing plant. Is it possible to create transportation lane using source list? If this requires an enhancement, which BAdI is applicable?

    The other option is Special Procurement Key - if assigned in Material Master will automatically create TLane in APO when Materials are CIFed. Downside of that process is no control on TLane Validity Date and / or other Planning Parameters like Lot Size / PDT.
    As for creation of T Lane based on Source List - SAP Help mentions it can be used but have not seen in any live project so cannot comment.

    Hi,
    Can someone explain me how the demand flow from one location to other location in SNP.
    I mean i have
    Location A - Subcontractor Location.
    Location B - Production Location
    Location C- DC.
    I have maintained transportation lane between B & C.
    I have loaded my planning book at location C. When i enter some values in Dis.Receipt KF for the part number at location C, The system automatically creates a Purchase Requisition at Location B.The procurement type defined in the Product Master at location C is F.But how the system raise the Purchase Requisition to Location B ? I have not maintained Quota arrangement too.
    Does transportation lane which is maintained between B&C plays the role here to flow the demand from B&C ?
    Or Apart from Transportation lanes is some other factor responsible for this ?
    Please explain.

    It's correct
    Since u maintained transportation lane between B&C as start location as B and destination location as C. So whenever there is a demand in plant c, it will generate a PR in plant B. Procurement process or production process should happen in Plant B.
    Pls check yr tranportation lane for the same.

       Could anyone please let me know the place(CIF Code) where transportation lanes are created during CIF process of scheduling agreements from R/3 to APO system. This scheduling agreements will be created in R/3 and will CIFed to APO(SPP).
      I need to enhance the process where Transportation lanes are created when scheduling agreements are CIFed from R/3 to APO system. The enhancement will be adding a custom planned delivery time value to Means of transport(MOT) of the transportation lane.
    I tried debugging the CIF but in vain.

  • CIF Transportation Lanes from R/3 to APO

    Currently, we are creating transportation lanes in APO via BAPI calls from R/3.     We have been lead to believe that transportation lanes can be CIF'ed over to APO.
    We are only executing GATP in APO.    We currently do not use DP, SNP, PP/DS, TP/VS, etc.
    I have seen several OSS notes that allows additional fields to be added to the CIF screen (tx = CFM1) but these fields would be more for filtering data.
    We just upgraded our APO system from 3.1 to 5.0.    The CFM1 screen stayed the same in SCM 5.0.     Could it be possible that we don't have an updated CFM1 screen with the option of CIF'ing transportaion lanes??
    Any information on this would be appreciated.

    As you in your requirement only describe gATP, I am a bit unsure why you need the transportation lanes? There are some different ways to handle the scheduling part in gATP and you should look into this before making any decisions regarding this. Normally you can ake use of transportation zones in APO to give a goiod level of detail vs maintenance for transportation lead time scheduling. gATP also allows for usage of condition technique and, as of 5.0, a new general procudure process scheduling from which I have no experience. I can see benefitds with transportation zones and scheduling, and in this scenario it would be possoble to make use of some data (customers) that can be CIFed and grouped. But as said there are several options, please specify your requirments to see if I can support further.

  • SNP disaggregation - not working

    we are working on aggregation and disaggregation of SNP demand based on hierarchies for location product,
    we are facing issue while disaggregating the quantity on our Aggregated product  generated by heuristics back to the main sub products.
      The disaggregated quantity on sub product ( Aggregated distribution receipt (planned) key figure)
    is coming in only for 1 product of the hierarchy.  we also set the transportation lanes and have run the LLC.
    It is not disaggreagting based on demand or either by quotas

    we have maintained all the items mentioned in your reply.  ( copy of standard planning book , LLC run no errors,assigned hierarchy to planning area, orders are at header product before disaggregation, we also are trying based on Quotas at sub products in hierarchy)
    orders generated by heuristic at header material for the location does not get disaggregated to the sub products.   Same is for all other locations. 
    we have location hierarchy based on regions (east, west ,north,south) and a common set of products.
    we are using disaggregation method based on Demand

             Can anyone explain me the relevance of the field consumption and unit in the product specific transportation lane. My SNP opt result does not come proper due to this field. The F1 help description is not much clear for this field.

    As far as my knowledge you can define transportation resource which we can in means of transport.
    In the product specific means of transportation , in the consumption field you can defined the capacity which will be get used for specific product- means of transportation combination out of all the resource capacity have been defined in means of transport

  • K9N Platinum (not SLI) Ethernet/LAN ports shut down

    Not sure if this has been up before but i could not find this exact problem. I have the K9N Platinum with am AMD 64x 4200+ CPU and OCZ 1GB x2 mem. My build and install of XP went without incident. My problem is that when I start to download anything of size, the LAN shut down. It will say "cable unplugged". If I switch to the second port, it will be good for a while, then the same thing. The only fix is to reboot. I am connected through a switch. I loaded the latest drivers (nVidia) from the monitor software. I found a different set on the NVidia web site and installed, but now it will not pick up DHCP. It will work if I hard code the IP. I read that it should be using Realtek drivers, not Nvidia. Please help!!! I opened a case with support but they have not answered yet.

    That is a start on Specs. You can look at anyone's signatuires here to see what is most commonly looked for in specs. Your are missing the PSU specs.
    However one of the first things to try is to go into Bios and set optimized defaults. Then you will need to make sure nothing else in Bios has changed as setting Optimized defaults usually changes things quite a bit.
    Then make sure that your using the drivers that came with the board including the NVidia and Network drivers.
    You may have to enter Device manager and remove the Network Driver and let it restart.
    You did answer one question many folks would have with the specs you gave about memory. The memory you have listed should be fine.
