SNR Caller ID / Transformation mask

Hello,
I have a calling party transformation mask set on the route list detail for our route list at our main office so that all calls from the office have the same calling number.
I have also configured single number reach and it's working and ringing on the mobile phones that I have configured.  The only thing I cannot figure out is how to have the called party number (outside caller) number show on the mobile phone that's ringing instead of the number from our main office.

What you can do is create a separate route list and route pattern (pointing to same route group). On that RL you do not manipulate the calling number.
That route pattern you place in a separate partition. That partition you place in a separate CSS. That CSS you configure on the RDP as "Rerouting Calling Search Space".

    Having an issue with CLID at RP level. Lets say I have two phones. One phone is configured with an External phone number mask of 1112223333 and the other one does not have an external number mask set. When a call is placed to the PSTN, Phone one needs to display its external phone number mask. Phone two since nothing has been added under external phone mask needs to be 1112224444.
    I configured the RP to "Use External Phone Number mask" and set the Calling Party Transform mask to 1112224444. I figured that if an external phone number mask was specified under the DN that it will route it to the PSTN and if nothing specified under the DN it will default to 1112224444 according to the setting in the RP.
    When I configured this, no matter what I do the calling party transform mask takes priority and the external phone number mask is never used. Is there a way around this? I tried it at the RL level and it does the same thing.
    Does anyone have any other ideas other than adding an external phone number mask for every phone.

    Thats what I thought. Why can't they add that as a feature in the next release of CM? It seems like it could be simple to do. Check for External Phone number mask, if nothing is specified, then check for calling party transform mask. If true set Calling Party transform Mask as CLID and route to RL or something like that..

  • External Phone Mask vs. Calling Party Transformation Mask

    What is the difference between these two features? They seem to do exactly the same thing. Even stranger, if you use a Calling Party Transformation Mask it will override any setting you have in the External Phone Mask field.
    Why would you use one instead of the other? The only thing I can think of is that the Calling Party Transformation Mask doesn't change the number that appears in the top line of the phone display, while the External Phone Mask does. Is that true?
    I don't get it. Someone please enlighten me. :-)

    External Phone mask does not affect internal calls and there are many situations when you may want internal masking to send digits to voice mail, ICD systems, etc.
    Also, Sankar keeps reffering to 9.@
    Avoid that in your calling plan as much as possible, it adds a whole mess load of stuff to the route plan report and can cause lots of hassels later on when troubleshooting a call routing issue. target your dial plan as much as possible.
    I have seen a few posts on configuration recently. If you have not engaged a partner for the deployment, then consider engaging one for the planning. It will save you a lot of time while troubleshooting later on. You sound quite capable of getting this off the ground on your own, but maybe you should bring in a guy for the afternoon to bounce off a bunch of "best practices" questions. That might be a good use of consulting time.

    i want to add RP with 9.001! predot
    and want to convert to 9.01017! with called party transformations.
    How we replace ! ? i've tried and it's error with message
    Called Party Transform Mask - allowed characters are numeric (0-9),plus (+),asterisk (*),pound (#),X.
    I've give screen shot for the configuration

    You can create the RP with 9001.! and in the called party, discard predot and prefix 901017.

  • Help with Calling Party Transformation Patterns

    Hello,I am struggling to figure out how to apply Calling Party Transformation Patterns on CUCM for MGCP gateways.
    Basically, we use MGCP gateway everywhere so I need to apply CPTP on CUCM. However, I know how to do this using a gateway (CME) as an example.
    Below is what I am trying to figure out using CUCM...Here as you can see, if the calling party number is 000xxxx then the calling Party xformation is set to 353xxxx and then egress to PSTN.
    If the calling party number is 111xxxx, then the calling party xformation is set to 454xxxx and then gets sent to the PSTN;
    voice translation-rule 1
    rule 1 /^000\(...\)$/ /353\1/
    rule 2 /^111\(...\)$/ /454\1/
    voice translation-profile OutBound_CallerID
    translate calling 1

    The only way I know how to do this is by creating 2 sets of CSS and PTs. Then, create the same route pattern in both (example 9.!) but set the CPTM on each route pattern as 353xxxx on one and 454xxxx on the other. Then by putting some of the phones with one CSS and some with the other it will work. This is not ideal as I need to be able to do it before matching the Route Patterns and I need all phones to use the same CSS.
    Is there a better way?

    @Anas, thanks for the response, great answer.One question. When creating 'Calling Party Transformation Patterns' should the pattern be the original calling party number i.e 111XXXX.
    For example, in the below screenshot will CUCM match the pattern if extension 111XXXX tries to make an outbound call?
    So the call flow on CUCM goes:
    Ext 111XXXX makes call > Route Pattern>RouteList>ROuteGRoup> Gateway>CPT CSS Applied matching below rule which changes Calling PT to 454XXXX > PSTN
    Would that be correct?

    Hi BW ABAP'ers,
    I am trying to code a start routine in a transformation for a data target.  When I did a syntax check on my ABAP codes, I get a syntax error on 'DATA_PACKAGE'.  Does anyone know what it is now called in BW 7 ?

    it is now called SOURCE_PACKAGE.
    You can find this in the interface definition of your start routine (the many lines that are grey):

  • Read Attachments in Operations Mapping called by Transformation Step

    I would like to read the attachment of my input message. I created an UDF that assigns the attachment to to a target field, furthermore I have activated the option "Read Attachments" in operation mapping.
    But when I call the operation mapping in a transformation step in BPM, the target field is not filled. Is it not possible to read attachments in BPM?

    Attachments are not available inside BPM.
    Try to do the mapping outside BPM.

  • Data change after call xml transformation for RAW data type

    Hi,
      Can someone explain what is workarround or any help for below problem
    when call transformation is called for usr02 records, after xml string is generated is showing different data for RAW data type for example content of fields BCODE,PASSCODE etc get convert into different data
    for example: content of BCODE fields before xml transformation say -7F8087472FB996E5
    after xml transformation it display as f4CHRy+5luU=
    why is this so happening?  is this known behaviour after xml transformation or it is bug in xml transformation?

    I think this is because RAW data is BASE64 encoded when using CALL TRANSFORMATION.

  • Conversion call in transformation files is not working

    Dear Experts,
    We are using BPC 7.5 NW SP06. For running master data load from BW, we are using the standard packages available. Whenever we are creating any transformation file keeping the conversion section blank it is working fine and getting validated. If we are creating new conversions, the same also gets validated and updated. To ascertain this, we also checked in the BW back end using UJFS t code and observed that the corresponding .CDM file is getting created in the back end. We are creating all such transformations and conversions in the default company folder. The issue lies in the fact that whenever we are referring the created conversion file in *CONVERSION section of the transformation file using the syntax:
    ID/HIER_NAME = [COMPANY]Conversion.xls!CONVERSION
    and trying validate the same we are getting the error:
    **"xml(........................CDM) file doesn't exists or empty.
    File / Document doesn't exist"*.
    We again went back to UJFS and found the CDM file is intact there with proper conversion definition. We tried to validate the same phenomenon of calling a conversion using any other transformation file. But the same error happens every time although at the back end the .CDM file gets created.
    What can be the problem here? We are stuck.

  • Pre-Comp with Collapse Transformation / Masking / Expression Controls / Etc

    Is there an issue with Pre-Comps and with the Collapse Transformation enabled?
    I have a Pre-comp that has various layer modes in it and in the main comp, the Pre-Comp has collapse transformation enabled to see the layer modes so the text can blend into the background (otherwise the text is just a flat color).
    The pre-comp works completely fine until I add a mask to it or say a expression control and then all of a sudden the collapse transformation stops working and the text loses it's properties.
    This cannot be working as intended...otherwise I can't do any sort of reveal with a mask with anything that is pre-composed and has any sort of blend modes within the pre-comp.
    The pre-comp also loses it's collapse transformation if you even put a expression control on it.

    Contrary to what you think it works as intended. Effects require rasterization as do masks. This is inherent how AE's render pipeline works. You need to restructure your project.

    Hi All,
    I am trying send a input xml to transfomation BPEL (Which do the transforming inputXML from one format to another). during this process flow i am getting the following error info.
    "Task comment more than 10000 characters. Task comment more than 10000 size is not supported".
    Details
    In my project one flow goes like following steps,
    - One BPEL process receive the inputXML and calls Routing BPEL
    - Routing BPEL will validate the inputXML againist xsd file and calls appropiate Transfomation BPEL.
    - Transformation BPEL will transform the input XML( which contains huge data) from one format to another.
    While validating process doing Routing BPEL, i getting the above error.
    If any one faced the same type of problem, please assist me on how to resolve this problem.

  • SNR calls on the remote phone but doesn't answer

    When i call to the ip phone with DID from external phone it rings both on the desk phone and remote phone but it doesn’t connect when it is picked from the remot phone and it continues ringing on the desk phone. While it works for calls that are internal.
    In addition to this the caller id doesn’t appear in the remote phone instead of the caller id the office number appears.

    Speaking of PSTN connection, note that only circuits with out-of-band signaling are supported. In other words, no analog or T1 CAS circuits as CUCM needs answer supervision from the gateway.
    Secondly, the Answer too Soon/Too Late timers become quite important here. CUCM must not see the CONNECT event (or 200 OK if SIP) outside of this window. If it does, CUCM will assume that voicemail answered instead of the user and drop the Remote Destination from consideration. This means the desk phone would start ringing even though the cell stops. Turn up a few debugs to see what the PSTN circuit is telling the gateway and CUCM. When does the call technically connect?
    As for caller ID: what does CUCM send as the ANI of the outbound call? If it passes the correct value and you don't see it on the cell phone, the carrier is filtering your ANI. This is common with RBOCs/ILECs with legacy Class5 switches: they only allow you to set a caller ID value to a DID that you own. You may need to ask your carrier how to override this. Some carriers won't let you, others will if you add RDNIS/Diversion header.

  • External Phone Number Mask issue in CUCM 8.6

    I'm having an issue with External Phone Number Masks in CUCM 8.6
    Until recently our DID ranges were all in the 301-713-nnnn range.  Using the EPNM worked successfully providing CallerID.    We have now added some DIDs with the prefix 301-427.
    I have set the Route List Detail Configuration to:
    Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask*  Off
    Calling Party Transform Mask   3014279999
    However, when I run debug isdn q931 on the gateway the Calling Party Number = '3017139999'.
    It appears that the mask 3014279999 is being changed to 3017139999 by Call Manager,  but I do not know where this is happening.   
    I do not have any translation  or transformations set.

    Here is my understanding of the Caller ID.  You can set or change the ID in 4 places:
    1.  The DN - set the External Phone Number Mask on the DN on the phone device e.g. if the DN is 1234 and the EPNM is 301713XXXX , the caller ID becomes 3017131234
    2. The Route Pattern - you can check the box to use the EPNM set in 1 or leave unchecked and set a mask here in the same way as 1.   A mask set here will overwrite the mask in 1. In my case I want to use the EPNM and I have the option unchecked and no transformation
    3. The Route List (Route List Detail) - you can set Use Calling Party's EPNM to ON or OFF or Default.  ON means use the DNs EPNM.  If set to OFF you can set a mask here and this will overwrite the mask in 1. and 2.   I my case I have this set ON to use the DNs EPNM
    4. On the Gateway - on the endpoints you can set Caller ID DN in Call Routing Outbound Calls.  This setting overwrites the masks from 1., 2. and 3.   You need to reset the gateway (not just the endpoints) for changes to take effect.   In my case this is blank.  It did have a value of 301713XXXX.  When I removed this I failed to reset the gateway to the setting was still active causing my issue

  • Numbering External Mask

    Hello.
    We have a CUCM 9.1.2.11900-12.
    When we make an external call, receiver can't see our number (it appears as unknown).
    I've tried to add the number into "External Phone Number Mask" field (into "Line Configuration" from device), with no luck.
    I've also tried to add a number into "Calling Party Transform Mask" field and check "Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask" from Route Pattern, no luck!
    Into gateway configuration (2821 mgcp controlled) there are no configuration.
    ISP doesn't mask our numbers.
    Where I'm wrong?

  • Masking Internal DNs

                     Hi, I am trying to mask the DNs for my helpdesk department who extensions consisting of 2XXX and 3XXX.  I have read the many posts on this forum about this very subject but I cannot seem to make it work, I've opened a TAC case 3 days ago and I finally had to stop the engineer who was working with me he was not helpful, I could go on about TAC but I digress.  I have CUCM 8.5 and here is what I have done.
    Created a Partition named Desktop and a CSS named Calling Desktop which has the Desktop partition as well as the other main partition used in the business.
    I created a Translation Pattern 2XXX  using the Desktop Partition and the Calling Desktop CSS; I put 3202 for the Calling Party Transform Mask and set Calling Line ID Presentation to Restricted. When that didn't work I tried using aTransformation Pattern 2XXX using 3202 for Transformation Mask but that hasn't worked either.
    On the device that I'm using to test with I did the following under Device Information section: CSS = Calling Desktop at the bottom I've played with various CSS under the Calling Party Transformation CSS currently it is set to Calling Desktop. I've checked and uncheced Ignore Presentation Indicators (internal calls only) and none of that has worked. 
    On the device's Line number information Route Partition = Desktop Under Directory Number Settings CSS = Calling Desktop I've reset the device after each configuration change to test and NOTHING IS WORKING!!! I'm at the point where i'm totally confused.
    Can any PLEASE HELP ME????????????

    OK, but if you have both, the partition for 2383 and the partition for TP 238X, and you hit 2383, in the same CSS, it's working as designed, there's nothing wrong with the system
    Best match routing, CUCM will use the match with less choices
    2383 = 1
    238X = 10
    SRND, dial plan chapter thoroughly explains this.
    If you expect that to work, the CSS CANNOT contain the partition from the DNs, only the TP
