Here goes.
My 1st 3 months with BT were beautifull - I was getting almost 2.0MB and life was good.
Then something went wrong and it took 2 months of sub 1mbit service to fix but it was fixed and compensation was rewarded.
11months of 14-16mbit service ensued and life was good. THe FUP limit was even raised to 300gb so now I never even get close to the limit, even with skyplayer and stuff on the go.
2 months ago things started going wrong again, I gave the Mods a shout and they reset my noise profile which I duly kept an eye on and I saw it hovering between 4.2 and 4.8 db! That gave me throughput of 17500kbits!!!
Then maybe a month ago now maybe three weeks my noise has jumped to 9db and my throughput is at 12000kbits
Two engineer visits confirm my throughput numbers.
THe latest engineer visit yesterday said everything is fine and its just the high noise on my line causing the problem. So another profile rest has been requested.
My throughput has been cut by almost a third for some reason.
Has anyone here experienced anything similar? I'd really like to know why this is happening.
I signed up for a 3rd year with BT because I knew the rate I was getting was really good for adsl and then a few weeks after renewing this happens. I think a 30% drop in service that has been stable for over a year could be reason enough get out of my contract with BT because if I'm not getting the uber rate I'd like to be with a  different ISP. (one that doesn't throttle and traffic shape)

Its been like that for over a year, on off on off. My connection rate stayed pretty much the same, never noticably slowing down. I'd see that my router was only online for hours rather than days and think "oh well" as it didn't effect my BB experience.
Onetime it got stuck in a loop for an evening which appeared to confuse my HUB to the point of needing it replaced. After that my latest issue happened... I think I logged the date on here somewhere.
When I say reset, I get flahsing orange BB and Phone lights but the other 2 lights stay blue.
I have spent time looking at the last few digits of the throughput and that does vary a bit, 100kbits either way.
Upload was stable at 1276kbits for a while (3 weeks or so) along with 17500kbits throughput
Now its 1156 ish with 12467kbits thoughput.
Without anything else to go on it appears the traffic shaping/ exchange algorithms have been tweaked or something. A signal tollerance has been reduced? I dunno its the dark art of that DSLAM thingy or what have you.
(the sceptic in me thinks they are shaving bandwidth off ADSL customers to feed vision & infinity but that is unfounded and most probably worng)
I'm annoyed that i signed up thinking my connection would offer me the same service it has been givving for over a year and the week I sign up for another 12months it slows down. Probably coincidence as an office block has just had new tennants so that could be increasing chatter on the wire form the exchange which could be a contributing factor as well. So could sun spots. Or some secreat theoretical high energy research lab has been built under my cabinet.
I just want either my old service back, and explanation of what has happened to my connection and why or a free contract cancellation. I can get this speed from a different ISP for less money, if I get my old speed back then BT are offering value for money.
As I still have functioning BB I am remaining calm, but cheated

    I noticed that your HP Photosmart B210 printer is not printing black ink, and that the pages are coming out blank. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!

  • HT1766 I have videos coming into my messageing and they are coming in blank.  It says there is a video however when I try to play the video the screen is black?  any suggestions

    How do I get videos to paly that arrive in my text message as a MMS. Currently the videos are coming in with just the arrow on top of the video, but when i try to paly them the screen is black only sound.

    We use a fillable PDF application form. A number of the applications that are returned to us are coming back blank. It seems in many cases these have been completed on a MAC.
    Any suggestions to assist our candidates or instructions we can provide to ensure this doesn't happen?

    Make sure the users do not use Apple Preview, or any other third-party PDF
    viewer or plugin. They should stick with Adobe Reader for best results.

    Depending on the extent of the damage, Apple may replace the iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

    There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to repair the iPod for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void.

    This is what it is and what it does. You both have to have iOS 5 installed on your supported device. If that's not what your setup is, then that's your answer.

  • I have been using my .mac email address for many years without a problem.  Suddenly over the last few days the emails have been coming in sporadically.  I know this becasue all the emails are coming in on my phone and on the laptop, not on iMac.

  • Adobeform Chinease Translation issue - Translated area coming as blank

    Dear Gurus,
    I have beed facing an issue while translating adobe form from English to Chinese from SE63 transaction using PDFB.
    There are two section one is Source language and another is Target language.
    Now in my case the target language is coming as blank , i.e. there is nothing I can translate , for other language its working properly.
    So now the question is how to resolve this issue ?

    HI Kuntal,
    In Adobeform we don`t have to translate variables through SE63 tcode.Inside Adobeform only in html code you have to copy translated values in place of you variables.
    Please check I will let you know once I will get exact area inside Adobeform.

    I would like to change a list of numbers in string to a list of number in numeric like in the attached vi. Unfortunately, the numbers are not separated by commas but by blank spaces. Which character can I use for the blank space?

    Why don't you just use the Spreadsheet String to Array function instead. You can specify any delimiter you want. See the attached picture.

  • All the menus are coming up as capital A in a box and so are all the icons

    All the Menus and icons are coming up as capital A with a square around them.The main tool bar is also this way which includes all the drop down menus.

    How big is the hard drive and how much space remains available on it?

  • Photos are there but the videos are appearing as blank icons with an error message after the upgrade to Yosemite

    I bought myself a new MacBook Pro and migrated everything from a Time Capsule/Time Machine migration.  My previous computer was slowly dying so I had backed it up although it was running Mavericks.  I migrated everything to the new computer from a Time Machine backup - all my photos and files are there - but in iPhoto, the videos (taken with a camera as .MOV files which usually appear in iPhoto) are appearing as blank icons.  When I click on them, I get the error message, "The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -54.)" and the video doesn't play or appear.  The video does, however, appear when I click on "Reveal in Finder - Original File" - so the files are there - they just aren't being compatible with my iPhoto in Yosemite.
    Any idea why?

    Do you still have access to the old system? If so drag the iPHtoo library on the new system to the desktop and Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

  • HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one C410a. The photos are coming out dark, what is happening?

    The photos are dark. I am sending the photos wireless from my Toshiba Netbook NB205-N325BL with Window 7 Starter to my HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one C410a. The photos are dark when i send the photo from my iPhone 3Gs too. I have changed out the ink cartridges to see if that was the problem since the ink cartridges were low.
    I have recently purchase this printer. I recently had a Photosmart All-in-one C7280 and was very happy with it until it stopped working with Win 7.

    There are quite a few trouble shooting steps in my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658560&tstart=0]. But to cut to the chase, first make sure you can run one of the Apps on the Printer and its getting content. Then make sure the firmware is the latest (Tools->Web->Automatic Updates->Check for Product Updates). Then power cycle everything (Router, Printer, iOS device). If it's still not working, more likely then not its a problem with your wireless router and Bonjour, so post back what brand of router you have, the model, and how your network is configured.

  • All burned discs are coming up blank.

    So I've burned some DVDs and after it is done it refuses to believe there are any files on it. The reflective side shows that difference in colour in the areas used and it takes its time burning and verifies afterwards so the files are there. I've used Disk Utilty to burn to a DVD and I've tried manually adding files to a DVD both with the same results. No problems burning or verifyng, nothing there.

    Hmmm, might try this Ben,
    First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
    Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
    Reboot & test.
    PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
