SOAP Error: Unknown Application
Hi.
I'm facing a problem while calling a webservice from XI. One the sender side, I have a file and the SOAP is on the receiver side. The web service is deployed on our local EP server and I'm trying to call it from the XI server of our client. We have taken care of all the network connectivity etc,. When I execute the scenario, it is giving an error saying:
<i>Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault.</i>
But I have no problem calling the same web service from our local XI box.
Could anyone provide me the solution for this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Hari.
Check the soap configuration. Might be calling the web service requires a proxy and an authentication. Generally when you are calling from the local machine, the proxy is automaticlaly detected unless and untill specified. But in most cases, for a SOAP adapter the proxy needs to be specified (unless the network accepts anonymonous connections as XI will be running on admin domain and not on the network user domain).
If that is not the problem then the adapter is not able to resoolve the hostname that you would have provided in the URL. try giving the IP address.
Award if helpful,

File to WebService - unknown application error
Hi guys
I want to call a Web Service on my PC using an XML file. I'm monitoring the scenario with the RWB. I want to make sure that the Web Service call actually happened.
I used a Sender-SOAP adapter and a Receiver-File adapter for that purpose and got the following error in the RWB.
SOAP: response message received a89d5830-b1b2-11da-9b47-000c7680c55b
SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
In a further waiting message in the message monitoring I found the following error:
ErrorCode: NO_BACK_SYSTEM_IN_HOPLIST ErrorText: ErrorStack: Legacy system to which acknowledgment message is to be sent is missing in hoplist (with wasread=false)
What is the easiest way to utilize the response from a Web Service call??
Thanks.Hi Gökhan,
>>>>I used a Sender-SOAP adapter and a Receiver-File adapter for that purpose and got the following error in the RWB.
if you want to call web service from file
you need to use:
- sender file adapter - not receiver
- receiver SOAP adapter - not sender
if you want to be sure you're message
was delivered and processed (by web service)
you can use sync call (with BPM only)
and return something out of this web service
(like OK status)
BTW
have a look at this excellent weblog on

Photoshop application error Unknown
Hello everybody
I hope someone can help me here because it's a week that I try to find a solution. So in our company we upgraded the version of CS from 3 to 6 for six users.
No one has problem except a user. Very often and without a particular logic photoshop crash. The error in the event viewer is always this:
Application Failure photoshop.exe 13.0.1.0 in unknown 0.0.0.0 at offset 0x012e9e6.
I Uninstalled the old versione from Add/Remove programs, I did the last updates, I deleted the Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp file and I recreated it correctly.
I think there is an external program/service/component that cause problems with the new version but I don't know how to find it.
Info about the PC:
HP Compaq xw4100 Workstation
Intel Pentium 4 2.80GHz
2Gb RAM
250Gb HDD
Nvidia Quadro4 380XGL
ThanksThanks for the answears and good Monday.

DSCC: application error - unknown error (NPE)
HI,
just trying to test DSEE 7. However, as soon as I have setup the DS, almost every task in the DSCC web app gets an unknown application error (as long as DS was not active everything was fine - empty).
Actually I don't know, what should be wrong: 'bin/dsadm info' and 'bin/dsccsetup status' look ok, connecting to the ldap servers with Apache Directory Studio (ports 389 and 3998) is also ok.
So webapp bug or did I something wrong?
Here is my proto install sheet, i.e. what I did:

SOAP error when running webdynpro application
Hi All,
I have developed a web dynrpo application using ABAP webdynpro in se80.
When I run the application, I am getting the following error
"The following error text was processed in the system WC3 : WebDynpro Exception: SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send returned with status code(100.101). ꯂ 8
The error occurred on the application server sys90_WC3_00 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE "
What would be the reason for throwing this error? In the SOAP runtime of SICF, I am not able to see any web dynpro application set up. How can i add web dynpro service in SOAP runtime? Or is there any other specific reasons too for this error.
Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks
RickyHI All,
I have standalone ADS server and it is integrated with CRM system.when the user is trying to open/save the ads form he is getting an error webdynpro exception: the ads call has failed. i have checked test FP_TEST_00 things and that seems to be fine and i also have added one more extra role and still having the same problem.
SOAP error.
I got this error for bw system.so previous person who handling the systems told me that BW will have integrated ADS?which would get installed as part of bw installation?im not sure abt it? however one of the user is getting the SOAP error.
Can any one help me out with above scenarios pls

Does anybody know what to do?
The WebService seems to work if we use a dedicated client.
Does SAP XI really have a problem or is it the WebService (-reponse)?
Regards MarioMario,
Your Webservice is throwing a SOAP Fault or Application error.
see the payload in CallAdapter Step in response message. It will have a fault payload with details.
It is basically related to input data problem.
check the input data given to SOAP Request.

Kindly help me on this, how to resolve the issue.
Thanks in advance.
JPHi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you accessed SharePoint site through form based authentication.
How did you configure the form based authentication?
Here is a link about the steps required to configure FBA in SharePoint 2010 for your reference, and check the steps to see if there anything wrong in your configuration:
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/352841/How-to-Configure-Form-Based-Authentication-FBA-in
Through the common error message, we cannot find what exactly caused the error.
Here is a similar thread for you to take a look:

Thanks!Hi,
This is an application fault,
error log clearly saying that''ORDER' does not exist in table 'ZTSD0030'.
these are specific to interfaces, in order to handle those
u need to configure apllication log at 'SLG1' t.code.
i mean, u have to use following function moules to handle application log in ABAP Proxy .
i.e
APPL_LOG_WRITE_HEADER
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGES
APPL_LOG_WRITE_DB.

Voicemail - unknown application.
Just got an 8120 pearl activated on our BES. Everything seems to be okay - emails, folders, phonebook, etc. However I can't access the voicemail function. Everytime i try I get the following error message returned in a dialog box; Voicemail - Unknown Application.
I have a feeling that it might be linked to the activation process, which took over 4 hours, held at 98% on one of hte last service books. I can;t remember which one exactly, but think it might have been the localisation one.
That, said I've now had a look at options>advanced options>enterprise activation and it's claiming that it's not been activated, even though the BES is currently displaying that it's status is running.
Any help? All our Blackberry dudes and dudettes have gone home for Christmas!This now seems to be solved by this:

SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?
Thank you very much!

Invalid soap address, unknown protocol jms
Hi, All,
I try to create a web service project based on a WSDL which soap based on JMS as following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<definitions name="AsyncBusiness"
targetNamespace="http://www.alsb.com/AsyncBusiness/"
xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
xmlns:tns="http://www.alsb.com/AsyncBusiness/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<types>
<xsd:schema targetNamespace="http://www.alsb.com/AsyncBusiness/"
xmlns:order="http://www.alsb.com/order/">
<xsd:import namespace="http://www.alsb.com/order/"
schemaLocation="order.xsd" />
<xsd:element name="submitOrder" type="order:Order" />
</xsd:schema>
</types>
<message name="submitOrder">
<part element="tns:submitOrder" name="submitOrder" />
</message>
<portType name="AsyncBusiness">
<operation name="submitAsyncOrder">
<input message="tns:submitOrder" />
</operation>
</portType>
<binding name="AsyncBusinessSOAP" type="tns:AsyncBusiness">
<soap:binding style="document"
transport="http://www.openuri.org/2002/04/soap/jms" />
<operation name="submitAsyncOrder">
<soap:operation
soapAction="http://www.alsb.com/AsyncBusiness/submitOrder" />
<input>
<soap:body parts="submitOrder" use="literal" />
</input>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="AsyncBusiness">
<port binding="tns:AsyncBusinessSOAP" name="AsyncBusiness">
<soap:address
location="jms://192.168.48.1:7001/AsyncOrderSelf_WS/AsyncBusiness?URI=jms.WebServiceQueue" />
</port>
</service>
</definitions>
the problem is when I generate web service based on that, error found: invalid soap address, unknown protocol jms. How can I make it work?
I'm using workshop 10.3 for weblogic. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Bill

Soap Address should always should be standard.
But you can change the action type under the wls binding part
for example I will provide one sample and it work perfectly at my end.

Veena.Hi,
In RWB (Runtime Workbench) or SXMB_MONI, you could be able to trace the whole flow of message from Webservice (SOAP) to Database (JDBC).
Here as Raj have requested you, the structure used for JDBC side will give some more information.
So please if possible give some more info on this.
Probably You need to change the JDBC request/response structure slightly..
Ref:/people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/03/jdbc-receiver-adapter--synchronous-select-150-step-by-step (Just have a look into how Bhavesh does the trick:-)
And also the blog:

Refer the below details from link
Problem with Webservice -> XI -> JDBC scenario

JDBC response
This is the trickiest part of the configuration and where most of us go wrong. The JDBC adapter when sending its response back will create a Message Type of the same name as the request message with a _response appended to it.
