Soap receiver failing..

Hello,
I have a synchronous SOAP receiver adapter and it is based on a JDBC u2013 PI u2013 SOAP using BPM. The BPM is used for message split and it works fine but when the webservice is called using the SOAP receiver , I keep getting the following message.
u201Ccom.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: No SOAP Envelope but 1 definitions; HTTP 200 OKu201D
I have set up the response in the synchronous send step. Not sure what I am missing.

    Hi All,
    I am using project server 2007 and WSS 3.0.
    I have been facing a strange issue for couple of days. I am unable to open PWA in browser and MS Project Pro on application server.
    Everything is correct whether it is URL or MS Project profile account on MSP.  This is strange because i can open same PWA/MSP from other computers (Database server / Client PCs) but not locally on server.
    When i try to connect to MSP on App server, i get the following errors in event viewer.

    One more issue i am facing and i guess that is related to above issue. The Issue is, when i am creating a new project, It's workspace gets created but doesn't get linked to the project and i can't link it manually because it already exists for the project.

  • Error while signing in SOAP receiver channel

    Hi,
    I have a Source PI which is sending a XML message to a target PI through SOAP adapter. Its a secure commnication. I am using message level encryption and signing on the source receiver agreement and message level decryption and validation on target sender agreement. The message is failing in the SOAP receiver cahnnel on source PI with the below error message. Also, I am using a certificate which is signed by Verisign and its valid for two years. I have checked the validity, it has not expired yet.
    It works fine if the certificate is signed by SAP(that is, test certificate which is valid for 8 weeks).

    "... The part /soap:Envelope/soap:Body was required to be signed by the policy with the transformations [], but the signature was not accepted. (Info: number of valid signatures: 1, number of accepted signer certificates: 0.) ..."
    I guess the cert. setup either on your side or the other system's side is not fully correct. Check whether all cert., priv keys and public keys are exchanged propperly and setup as trusted certs.

  • SOAP Receiver Adapter Error in XI RWB - java.lang.NULLPointerException

    Hi,
    We have a asynchronous scenario in SAP-XI, where we are sending the PO data from SRM to third party (Hubspan / TNT). Proxy is being used at Sender side and SOAP Adapter is used for Receiver Communication Channel.
    u2022SRM is sending around 1000 messages through background job and around 995 or 996 messages are being processed successfully and showing the proper XML payload as well in RWB. But 4-5 messages are getting failed in XI RWB for u2018java.lang.NullPointerExceptionu2019. For these failed messages we are not able to see the XML payload as well in XI RWB while these messages are showing successful status in MONI in SRM and XI and we are able to see the payload as well in MONI. The webservice is restarting and trying to send the payload three times in RWB, but it is getting the same Nullexception error.

    u2022If we are getting the payload from XI MONI for the failed message and doing a test with component monitoring in RWB, it is working fine.
    Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks
    Sumit

    Hi Sumit,
    From my experience, when you transfer  SAP POs through PI to external webservice, there should be some validation happens at the webservice layer of the target system before the web service passes the original information to  their application layer. The validation can be anything like checking the Vendor address, Checking the correctness of the order ...etc etc . So i would suggest to ask your external web service folks to check if they have any validation in place before they pass the data to their application layer.
    As you said only some POs/XMLs are failing, i strongly feel that this could be the issue.
    Please note if you receive response code other than 200 from webservice, SOAP adapter treats that as error and send the same message back to AE.
    Normally webservices won't send 200 code for any validation error
    PS: you can still try to use XMLSpy to post the failed message to the web service to know the exact cause.

  • SOAP receiver adapter error

    Hi all.
    I have create a FM ZRFC_FILENUMBER on R/3 side. Then i created webservice in the R/3 itself for this RFC. It gave me WSDL file. I have loaded this WSDL file in XI external definitions.
    In the receiver adpater configuration i am using the URL as specified in the file.
    e.g.: http://erpdevmil.xyz.in:8001/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZRFC_FILENUMBER?sap-client=200&wsdl=1.1
    I have tried using XML spy. It works fine,communicates with R/3 and sends data back. All well. But doesn't work in actuall scenario.
    Acutal scenario is : Created Proxy in R/3 side and sending data to this webservice and expects data back from webservice. Here it fails.
    In audit log it shows as follows :
    Success SOAP: request message entering the adapter with user J2EE_GUEST
    Error SOAP: call failed: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
    I have gone through lots of blogs and threads. As per experts, checked the URL and operation name N number of times. Now want something which can solve my problem . Please it's urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    I am using SOAP receiver adapter to access a web service that is hosted on SAP Web AS (in this case it is the integration server Web AS). Thanks and Regards.

    HI Dani,
    I was looking for this error and I found this post AXIS SOAP Receiver. This post says about other errors, but sugests many ideas to found the soluction, like:
    1- non-deployed all AXIS jars; (but in this case it deployed all)
    2- Exists this note for one erro in AXIS: (https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1028961).
    3- this document (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/b092777b-ee47-2a10-17b3-c5f59380957f) that have sets for header parameters. This is interesting becouse one of this parameters is obligatory but isn't filled, can occur error like "null object".
    By the way, you can check if have update to AXIS (http://ws.apache.org/axis/), becouse isn't a SAP application and in other systems can have this error.
    I hope this helps,

  • SOAP Receiver Adapter Target system down

    Hi All,
    My scenario is SOAP Receiver adapter --- > Portal system (Target system.).
    Now team is taking restart of target system. It will take around 1 hr. So my question what will happen to the messages which is received by SOAP Receiver adapter in this time frame. ?

    Hi Rajhans ,
    All the messages during that period of time will fail with System Error ,We   have to re-send  these messages manually once the target system is up. In stead of selecting one by one you can set Multiple Selection On option to select the messages in RWB
    .Please refer the weblog  will give you some idea about the standard reports which can also be used to reprocess the messages.

  • SOAP Header in SOAP Receiver adapter

    Hi All,
    I am doing a Proxy to  Webservice scenario where webservice requires the SOAP request as below.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
        <SOAP-ENV:Header>
            <mh:CustomHeader xmlns:mh="http://schemas.test.com/customHeader">
                <mh:MessageData>
                    <mh:MessageId>12345</mh:MessageId>
                    <mh:Timestamp>2004-06-09T14:41:44Z</mh:Timestamp>
                </mh:MessageData>
            </mh:CustomHeader>
            <wsse:Security xmlns:wsse="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2002/04/secext">
                <wsse:UsernameToken>
                    <wsse:Username>test</wsse:Username>
                    <wsse:Password>test123</wsse:Password>
                </wsse:UsernameToken>
            </wsse:Security>
        </SOAP-ENV:Header>
        <SOAP-ENV:Body>
        </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    Need your help to understand how can we achieve this using Standard SOAP adapter to customize the Header part as it requires to include "<mh:CustomHeader " & "UsernameToken".
    Or Do i need to go for adapter module development to create this SOAP request.
    Please provide your suggestion to achieve this scenario.
    Thanks & regards

    Hi all,
    Created  a below target payload in a message mapping with  SOAP Header & Body part as per the requirement.
    In SOAP receiver communication channel, checked the option " Do Not Use SOAP Envelope".
    But while executing an sceanrio, i am facing  an error in SOAP receiver channel as Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
    And if i don't check the option " Do Not Use SOAP Envelope" it gives an error as

  • Problem in testing SOAP receiver adapter using SOAP UI

    Dear Experts,
    I'm trying to test my SOAP receiver adapter as mentioned in the blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/21844. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] But, my request from ECC proxy keeps failing in XI communcation channel monitor.  I've configured my receiver adapter http://ip:8080/mockSoapHTTPBinding and kept the authentication as NONE.  Can any of you suggest?
    ip - is my system ip shown in ipconfig.
    mockSoapHTTPBinding - is the path.
    Thanks.

    What is the error of the messages? Are the messages leaving the SOAP adapter?
    Please try both:
    1. Go to Runtime Workbench -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Test message. Then, execute the message directly without the intermediate of the Proxy sender. This will allow you to check only the receiver SOAP.
    2. Please use the TCPGateway tool attached from the note below. It will be a "man-in-the-middle" between the target WS and the Receiver SOAP channel, tracking the whole HTTP/SOAP message. Check if the message is well-formed.

  • URL redirection config in PI SOAP receiver communication channel

    Hi,
    I am working on a similar scenario where I my consuming an external web service using https protocol from PI.
    I have configured a soap receiver channel to call the target url of this web service as https://portal.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
    I am getting an error HTTP 302 suggesting that PI is not able to follow the re-direction to the target URL as the service resides not on that URL but on https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt or https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
    This is their server fail over handling mechanism which is very common. But PI 7.0 is not able to handle this.
    So if I change the target URL on the SOAP receiver channel to  https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/web service  or  https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt , PI works fine without errors . But this is not the right approach because, every time the web service provider takes one of these systems down for upgrade/patching etc, they inform us and then I manually go and change the target URL to the available server on my production PI system config.
    My problem is I want to resolve this redirection error in PI. I have tried raising a call with SAP itself and they pointed out to use Axis adapter which is still not working.
    So I am here asking for help. any suggestions please from the experts?
    Thanks
    Jhansi.

    Hi guys,
    I am sorry if I have not been clear so far!!
    What I am talking about is a URL redirection capability of PI. what i mean is , when you call any service in general using a browser/soap ui etc, it pings that url and follows the redirection.
    For example when i try to test this external web service directly using soap ui tool, it also returns HTTP 302 error. But when I set the 'Follow redirect' property to 'true' , it follows the redirection and calls the service on 'portal1' or 'portal2' .
    You assume PI is a test tool like SOAPUI. When the address or URL changed in WSDL and if you load the latest WSDL in soapUI it post the request to the latest URL. YOu import WSDL only in ESR not in IR. Dont forget it. Though WSDL has soap address location, it will not impact the wsdl changes directly in ID.
    It makes no sense to complain regarding the behaviour of PI when the reason for the problem is outside (WS provider).
    please note that the target url is fixed which is  https://portal.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
    so we are not talking here about the service provider altering the service and sending us new wsdl's etc.
    All users of this webservice have been non-sap users so far and consumers use java, .net etc platforms and are easily able to handle the redirection.because this redirection is a part of failover mechanism.
    I hope i am able to picture my problem.
    thanks
    Jhansi.

  • SOAP receiver: error HTTP 302 (Moved Temporarily)

    Dear all,
    I configured scenario where SOAP web service is consumed from SAP ABAP system via PI. The problem is in communication with the web service: the error observed in communication channels monitor for the configured SOAP receiver channel is:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily
    The consumed web service is based on the function module developed in SAP NetWeaver 7.00 system. Endpoint for the service was then created via SOAMANAGER, generated binding's address was used as a target URL in the SOAP receiver channel.
    If the service is consumed not via PI, but tested directly from external SOAP client (I used soapUI) with the same WSDL and endpoint, the response is fine and error-free.
    Please advise possible root cause of the issue.
    My regards,
    Vadim

  • ** SOAP - Receiver CC - Sync - Error - certificate rejected by ChainVerifie

    Hi Friends,
    In our interface BPM - SOAP call (Sync), in the receiver SOAP CC, we are getting the below error.
    SOAP: call failed: iaik.security.ssl.SSLCertificateException: Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier
    In the SOAP CC, we use HTTP protocol.  In the target URL, it starts with https://...... and soapAction is mentioned.
    Previously, this channel was working fine. No issues.
    For testing, I copied and pasted the target URL in Internet Explorere, it did not ask any certificate, I am able to execute the wsdl. i.e call the soapAction - sent the request and got the response.
    Friends, could you tell me why the above error is coming now ?
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Hi,
    https service is running?
    Check: SMICM -> Services
    Also check  with the named SAP note inside.
    Cheers,
    André
