SOAP Receiver sync call timeout

Hi guys, I need to increase the sync call timeout value for SOAP adpter as my receiver system has vaery slow response time. Which parameter to set? Currently is the message valid for 3 minutes.
Thanks, Andrzej

Hello
XI.Timeout can be used with the SOAP sender, and XMBWS.Timeout for the SOAP receiver.
There are further details in note - 856597
Q: Can I increase the default timeout value for the sender
adapter?
A: Yes. The default timeout value for synchronous calls is 5
minutes. You can increase this value by setting parameter
XI.Timeout in the module parameter table of the SOAP adapter.
Q: Can I configure the timeout value of my receiver adapter?

  • No Payload in the soap receiver call adapter ?

    Hi Guys,
configured Proxy-SOAP Asynchronus process and in the sxmb_moni, i am unable to see the payload under call adapter in sxmb_moni, but i am able to see the payload under RWB in MDT. The message is checked successful in monitor.
I am not understanding why i am unable to see the payload under call adapter in sxmb_moni.  I am not getting the data into my receiver system.
Do i need to mention the QOS as EO in the soap url in the soap receiver adapter configuration ?
any help would be really appreciated
    Thanks,
    srini

    Hi,
You can only see the Payload(both with and without transformation) in MONI. message that is handling by adapter can only seen in Adapter Framework using RWB-Message Monitoring or using Communication Channel Monitoring.

Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?

  • SOAP Receiver Adapter / Scenario calling WebServices

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to call a web service.  Configured a SOAP Receiver adapter. Message to Web Service goes fine but not shown with Checkered flag, but with icon with description "Log Version".
In response message for the request Error Category - MAPPING and Error ID "Cannot Read Payload".
Any ideas to clear this problem. I do have response mapping assigned to Message Interface.  Message Interface is Synchronous.
Thanks in advance for any solutions.

can you verify that you are getting a response..try re-routing that to tcpgw and check if content is in line with expected response.

  • SOAP Receiver Adapter (Asynchronous Call)

    Hi All,
Scenario is  Proxy to Webservice asynchronous call.
Scenario configuration is done as follows.
    1) Imported the WSDL and using as a asynchronous inbound interface.
    2) SOAP receiver channel is configured with the target URL & soapAction as given in the WSDL as (soap address & soap Action).
    3) Configured the proxy server details as required.
SOAP channel is successfully sending the message to the application as DLVD.
But the issue is target application  not receiving the data. What could be the reason ? I am wondering , i have tried with the external tool like Altova XML Spy & SOAP UI  sending data to the webservice & it's  working fine.
Please suggest me if anything which can help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Ashwin

In this case you can do the following:
    1. start your tcpmon or TCPGateway, add there a listener e.g. on port 9090
    2. configure the target URL in TCPGateway for this listener
    3. configure the target URL in your XI SOAP Receiver Adapter to http://<ip of TCPGateway>:9090
    4. now execute the scenario again in XI
(make sure XI can reach your TCP Gateway, e.g. check Proxy)
I have used this method successfully for error tracking. In some cases it is necessary to add 2 listeners in TCPGateway and route e.g. 9090 to 9191 and from there to the end (I did not analyse why).
Then you will be able to see what XI is really sending and you will see the full response from the partner side. You can then compare the XI request data with those which are sent via soapUI. This should give a clue about the problem.

  • XMBWS.Timeout in soap receiver channel not working

    Hello
I have a requirement where my soap receiver channel should time out in 20 sec from the time it had shot a webservice request.
I tried setting the module parameter XMBWS.Timeout to 20000 but it didnt work. I assume this parameter should be set for the standard module i.e. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean.
Currently my receiver channel is timing out after every 3 min and that might be because the parameter xiadapter.inbound.timeout.default in SAP NWA is set to 180000.
Any other parameter to be set so that channel takes time out duration from module parameter.
Note: we are working on PI 7.1 EHP1

i agree. A minute is usually the minimum value for lot many parameters.

  • Calling Soap Action in Soap Receiver

    Hi ALL,
I have a requirement where i have a WSDL file which contains multiple actions and multiple Soap Action Parameters ,
whereas i need to combine all the Soap action Parameters into single SOAP Parameter and call it in my SOAP action parameter at the receiver side
    of the SOAP.
Please guide me how to achieve this.

    Hi,
If you mean setting it dynamically, yes, it is possible. The technical name for soap action in dynamic configuration is THeaderSOAPACTION with namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/SOAP

  • Long sync calls and timeout.

    2. TIMEOUT
    Consider the following situation :
    Flows 1 --- async call ----> FLows 2 ------ async call --------> Flows 3 -----sync call ----> axis ws
The last sync call can take a long time.
If this time is too long , Flows 1 , FLows 2 , Flows 3 goes in stale state ...
How can i manage timeout/set maximum time for Async and Sync call ?
What's the best way to manage this ?

I circled back with the engineering team on this: we are in the process of adding a timeout configuration parameter to the partnerLinkBinding information embedded in the BPEL deployment descriptor (bpel.xml). An associated runtime BPEL fault will be defined for process designer to catch and handle this type of synchronous timeout. This feature will be available in the September service pack.
The async timeout can be managed using the bpel pick/onMessage and onAlarm.

  • SOAP receiver Default timeout value

    Hi Everybody,
I have a Proxy to SOAP scenario.
Can somebody tell me the default timeout for SOAP receiver adapter.
Note : Is it the same as SOAP sender which is 5 mins?
    Thanks,
    Zabiulla

Yes , it is same like sender soap adapter i.e. 5 mints. You can increase this in module tab of receiver soap CC. check sap note no 856597 for more detail.
    Thanks!

  • Ford Sync and my Iphone4s are having issues. When I receive a call, it goes into privacy mode. I have searched ford's site. But still no answers. Any suggestions?

Ford Sync and my iphone4s are having one major issue. When I receive a call, it goes into privacy mode. I have been on Ford's web site and no one knows the answer. It is just when I receive calls. What to do? I have used a Blackberry Storm 2 in this same vehicle and no problems.

Thanks for the quick resonse Kilted Tim. Are you from Scotland? My wife is.
I decided to try to do two things this morning to resolve this privacy problem. The first is, I restored my wife;s phone from itunes--in spite of the fact that the Apple tech at the Genius Bar in Tampa said that reloading the firmware is not the problem and it must be Ford. This took about 15 minutes to download, restore and verify. One must resist the temptation to disconnect the phone because I had a popup by the system tray ( I'm using Win7) that said I can now use the phone but itunes was still doing stuff so I just let it do it's thing until it (itunes)  told me to use the phone.  Went down to the car and my privacy issue is resolved.
I also went to syncmyride to download the version checker. A word of advice this does not work well if at all on google Chrome. I went to Explorer and it worked fine. I was on a chat line about a week ago and was told that google Chrome will work with syncmyride.com. So much for their knowledge.

I just got the iPhone 5. It's completely synced and working.  All my contacts are loaded.  However, caller ID is not working when I receive a call or a text.  Can anyone help me out with this?

Well, assuming all of the above, Notifications, etc., it just might be time for a visit to the Apple tore genius center for a session with the techs.  See if it is a fault in the hardware or just an iOS reinstall is the answer.
One more thing you could try, backup so you have a record of content, then restore to factory conditions be an Erase All Contents and Settings.  Then restore from the backup you just made.  That has helped some with WiFi problems, may be it would work with your problems.
But with that behavior of another app with problems, the geniuses looks like a less stressful thing to do.

  • SOAP Receiver Response Message

I have setup the following scenario:
Create PO in EBP --> XI --> Webservice
In the Repository I have set up both the outbound and inbound message interfaces as Synchronous. The interface mapping has been setup to map both the request and response messages.
In the Directory I have set up the SOAP receiver adapter and the receiver/interface determination and receiver agreement for EBP as the sender system and the external webservice as the receiver party/service.
When I create a purchase order in EBP the webservice is called successfully and the PO gets created on the target system. The webservice returns a response message which I am expecting to see via SXMB_MONI but is not currently showing!! Is there some Directory configuration that I am missing?
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Hi Mark,
    >>>>n the Repository I have set up both the outbound and inbound message interfaces as Synchronous
is your scenario sync or async?
do the ID config with ID wizzard if you're not sure
    if will guide you
if you have a sync scenario you shoudl see and error
if you have no response withint the timeout
do you see that in the calling application or in the XI ?
