Softeware not updating, seems not fully functional

When I was in the US for work I bought a retail version of Photoshop / Premiere Elements 8. Back in The Netherland I downloaded the trial of the Dutch version and used the US serial to register the software. All went fine but I do have a couple of problems which I'm not sure how to fix.
When I select: Help - updates it reports within a second that the update server is not responding. It has never worked. manualy installing 8.0.1 did not fix the problem.
When I select (in Dutch) file - check folders it reports the service is not available...
In short: some parts do not work and I wonder if this is because I'm using an US serial for a Dutch product or if it is a faulty install.

1. Make sure that the system is connected to internet and the firewall settings or anti-virus settings are not in such a way that it is not allowing Updater to contact to Adobe servers.
2. If above doesnt work, try this:
   1. Open Network and Sharing Center
   2. Click Change adapter  settings
   3. Right-click the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport  Adapter, and click Disable.
   4. Open PSE and Help >  Check for Updates

  • Regarding Template updates, what does this error " not updated, item not found" mean?

    This is the second time I've posted this question so hopefully somebody will respond. At some point in the last few weeks I found that I could no longer apply a template in a group operation (returns the error shown above). If I modify the template and save it it shows all the related files to be updated but does not actually update them and again returns the error "not updated, item not found". As a test I created a duplicate of a particular .html file and applied the associated template successfully. When I apply a template change it does properly update the newly created file but not the others. I also did a mechanical file compare (using windiff.exe) between the original and duplicate file and there are NO differences in the two .html files. I have also deleted and recreated my site maps several times.
    As an aside, Library items do update successfully.
    I am running Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows 7.

    I have an extensive home network and I consider myself to be very proficient with personal computers (had one since 1981) so let's start at that level.

    When this problem first started, I went to another PC (home built desktop Win 7 64 bit) I have and created a new Dreamweaver site copy using an instance of the site that was on a network share running on a NAS box (Netgear RAID5) that I use for central file storage. Just for a test I did the same thing on my main working PC (see below) and created a new site with the data that was on the network share. Well, lo and behold the template problem went away with both of the two sites I am having trouble with. Now I have no idea why sites housed on my PC are having a problem but that seems to be the issue.
    Your setup is very similar to mine - NAS (I'm using an Intel NAS) housing all my working files.
    Just for a test I did the same thing on my main working PC (see below) and created a new site with the data that was on the network share. Well, lo and behold the template problem went away with both of the two sites I am having trouble with.
    So it's working in the duplicate site, but not the current site. And in the current site, you have some files that update as desired and some that do not? Why not just make the duplicate site be the main working site?
    Anyhow, I cannot think of any wrinkle that would cause DW to update some legitimate child files in a site but not others, except for a corrupted file cache.

  • RH Window not updating / topics not displaying after repositioning

    Hi,
    I'm running RH8.0.2 on a 32-bit version of Windows 7. In the last few days I've had peculiar problems with the RH Window itself (not compiled help) not refreshing properly.
    For example, I want to compare a Word document to a help topic, so I resize the RH window and position it next to the Word document. I open several topics and do what I need to do. Now I'm done with the Word document, so I maximize the RH window again. This is when the problems start:
    The navigation along the top (including the topic tabs) does not refresh.
    If I double-click a topic in the left pane, it is sometimes not displayed on the right side, although the cursor movements indicate that RH thinks the topic is displayed. (This is hard to explain, and crazily enough I can't even get a screenshot of this to show what I mean.)
    If I reduce the window size back to its previous, smaller size, things look normal again and I can see the topic I just double-clicked. But if I want to use RH in a maximized window again, I have to close and reopen the RH project.
    Yes, these problems can be dealt with. But this has been going on for several days now (after a Windows update, perhaps?) and it's getting annoying.
    Is anybody else experiencing these problems? Is there a solution?

    You were right - I was dragging the two windows to where I wanted them.
    I haven't yet tested your suggstions extensively (I don't spend a lot of time with RH side by side by side with other applications). However, I haven't seen the problem since I started using Windows key + arrows to position the windows.
    BTW, RH is the only application where I was having this problem.
    I will post again (or edit this post) if I come up with any new information. Even if no one else has posted about this problem, I'm betting that others are experiencing it. As I said, it's relatively easy to work around. Just annoying.

  • Date modified not updating & InDesign not PDF not appearing

    Something is definitely off with my Yosemite finder. Two big issues:
    Files are not updating the date modified time after saves. If I change the file name in the finder, it immediately updates like it should. Files in Dropbox reflect the old time (as tested by looking at my Macbook Air running Mavericks)
    PDFs made from InDesign and saved to a folder do not appear for a very, very long time, if ever. The PDF is there as I can see it in a shared dropbox on my Mavericks laptop as soon as it syncs
    I had another issue with Outlook attachments being unable to be saved to a folder, but they could be saved to the desktop. That problem got fixed with a reboot.
    What's going on with my finder? Running all the latest software.

    Annoying as all get out, isn't it? My old contextual menu item Nudge won't force the Finder to update either. In my case it also has a certain recalcitrance about updating file sizes. Pray to the computer gods for this updating nonsense to get fixed. In the meantime, you can try relaunching the Finder, that is the only reliable way I've found to force a window update. Hold down the option key, then click and hold on the Finder icon in the Dock and select Relaunch. All Finder windows will close, the Desktop will blink. When you re-navigate to your folder it should now have the correct dates.

  • Sync is not updating my notes

    When I sync my iphone with my computer, the notes section does not update the most recent notes, go back to notes in april 2012!
    I try both options, check mark  at option seccion to sync notes!

    does anybody else have any suggestions ? i don't know what safe mode is and if that is taking all my security down sorry not running my internet w/out security. my question has been here forever nobody knows ?

    The ode at the start isn't upsetting the iTunes application but it's upsetting FireFox when used as a feed reader and is flagged as an error by FeedValidator, so it's extremely likely that it's upsetting the Store and rendering the feed unreadable. You need to remove it.
    The code appears to be for a linebreak and is, I read elsewhere, permissible in XML 1.1 but not 1.0 which is what you have specified: in any event, you don't want a linebreak and getting rid of it altogether will probably solve your problem.

  • Consumption not updated - MVER not update

    - inital stock has been uploaded via mvt 561
    - a consumption mvt (201) has been done
    - a month later another consumption mvt (201) has been done
    The thing is the first consumption has not been updated in MVER table whereas the second one was.
    I already checked OSS note 804011, but can't find an explanation . Does someone have an idea?

    I dont think so.
    Is this consumption made from the same stock type like unrestricted use stock, or is one made from unrestricted use stock and the other one from special stock like sales order stock?
    I suggest you open a message at SAP to get the report ZMVERBRP  from OSS note 791728.
    This report should rebuilt the consupmtion for your first goods issue if the posting string situation is okay now.

  • Fix To Ipod Not Updating, Or Not Restoring

    Everytime I tried to update my ipod, or restore it, a write error would come up. Then the ipod would display a screen with a folder saying to see ipod support. After trying several things I found out that if you download the new updater with FireFox IT WILL NOT WORK. I re-downloaded with internet explorer and everything went fine. I hope this helps somebody else.

    I have downloaded the updater nearly 10 times using FireFox, all have worked. I am modding my iPod heavily with themes and stuff, is the reason for my multiple downloads. FireFox is not disrupting your download, another factor MUST be contributing. Although, the updater does have an issue where it causes the backlight to no longer be accessible when charging your 5G.

    If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

    I have done assessment and distribution in month ending. This distribution did in 2 company codes cost centers. it was successfully posted & updated in 2nd company code cost center.
    Then I ran the Reconciliation ledger in KALC month end. I was also successfully document posted in G/L account.
    But Cost centre was not updated or not picking in the document.
    Please give me suggestion .

    Dear Indu,
    KALC will not update specific CO objects. The intention of the reconcilliation ledger is to reconcile CO internal postings with Financial Accounting. The necessity for reconciliation arises from the fact that, depending on controlling area / company code relationship and customizing, any CO posting can either be:
    u2022     Cross company code
    u2022     Cross business area
    u2022     Cross functional area
    or a combination of the above mentioned. For these CO internal postings there will be no corresponding FI documents with the result that CO and FI do not reconcile on company code/business area or functional area level. The reconciliation ledger adjusts this by creating the relevant FI documents. I hope this clarifies the issue.

    We are facing one issue in COPA.
    We are created one Condition type ABC, this condition type we have selected the check box for Accruals in control data 2 ,then we are created one Account key 123 , in pricing procedure we have assigned this one ABC condition type to accrual account key 123.Then Vkoa setting in TAble one customer/mat/ acckey combination we have assign one g/l like transfer cost with (11 cost element) in provision for accrual column.
    COPA side setting as been done :
    step 1: user defined value field like NMR and this value field is assign in ke4i with respective condition type ABC  value filedNMR.
    We are generated the billing document.in a/c document is below entry.
    Customer a/c dr 10
    Trasnfer Cost a/c dr 1
       To Cost on sales a/c 11-
    Above one 1 rs in coming in condition records in billing document.But In COpa document  my revunue is 10 rs with value filed, NMR  value filed  amount "1" is not updated.
    Note :above condition type ABC  we are not selecting the statistical check box  in Pricing procedure
    Please give me suggestion.

    As far as I understand, any GL Account maintained in VKOA under provision column will not flow to COPA, be it B/S 8754 or P/L 4567.
    The GL mapped under G/L Account column would essentially flow to COPA. Therefore in your case, values posted to GL 1234 should flow to NMR Value field through SD Condition type ABC.
    I dont have access to system so can you check below options:
    1) Once you had done KOFK, did you create the cycle from scratch to evaluate the results. If so and if its still not working, can you please share with us the output of the KEAT and / or KE4ST report for the billing document, posted to accounts.
    2) Also check in the pricing procedure, if you set an account key under accruals column, then in VKOA, you need not have to mention seperate GL under Provision Column. Just maintain the GL account under "G/L account" column for each Account keys (4 records with KOFI & KOFK)
    3) If above also doesnt help, test if removing the check from Accruals in the ABC Condition type configurations really helps, in which case you may need to maintain GL under provision column.
    Will explore more options and will revert back hopefully by tuesday.

    when i am posting a gl document in F-02, the document has been created with document no and i can view it in FB03,FBL3N and table BSIS.
    But when i am trying to see the ledger report FS10N for that GL a/c, the balance is not updating.

    i tried everything u said. but the problem is, whenever i am posting a document thru F-02, the document has been created with the Document No and the same data has been updated in BSIS and BSEG table and FB03, FAGLB03 and FABL3N are giving the output well.
    But the table FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT has not been updated, bcos of which i am not able to view the ledger balance FS10N.
