Solaris 11 AI xml syntax for install service help

Hi,
I try to set the quota on all the zfs file system with Solaris 11 AI,
here is the line:
<filesystem name="data" mountpoint="/data"/>
what is the syntax to set the quota?
Thanks!

The ai_manifest man page shows examples of setting ZFS properties, you'd do something like the below to set the quota to 10 GB.:
<filesystem name="data" mountpoint="/data">
             <options>
               <option name="quota" value="10gb"/>
             <options>
           </filesystem>

  • XML syntax for tags

    It has always been a habit of mine to use XML syntax for CF tags since I've been working with XHTML. For instance, I will do <cfset var myVar = "" /> However, I noticed when doing <cfdump var"#myvar#" />, the output is displayed twice. So now I am wondering if whenever I use a /> on something such as cfset, is the tag actually executing twice? How does this affect performance?
    I just happened to notice that in CFBuilder, when I do <cfargment name="myVar" required="true" type="string" default="" />, when I go to the next line and start typing <cfarg auto-suggest will select the cfargument tag, but this is only if I use a />. If I omit the ending forward-slash, auto-suggest does not work. That may be a setting specific to CFBuilder, but that wasn't the scope of this question.
    What syntax is correct and how does it affect performance?

    According to the document I've linked to below; using self-closing CF tags, such as <cfset myname="Bob" /> is permissible.  The document also notes exceptions to this such as CFIF and custom tags as examples where a self-closing tag shouldn't be used.
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/wtg/public/coding_standards/style.html
    Althoguh it doesn't look like it, that's an internal coding standard for one of Adobe's (well: it was Macromedia at the time) internal teams, and is not supposed to be a suggested standard for everyone.  I've had this same discussion with them, too.
    As Owainnorth (and many others) observe, it's completely doable.  My only challenge to it (and it's a challenge I state in an unduly heavy-handed fashion sometimes!) is the nonsensical rationales people use for doing it: making it more like XML, it's good if the CFML blends in better with the XHTML mark-up it's generating, it's tidier, etc.
    I hasten to add that Owainnorth's position that he finds it easier to read and assists with code navigation, whilst leaving me with a blank look on my face, is a completely reasonable basis for doing it.  I personally don't believe it, but there's no reason why that should bother him (and I'm sure it doesn't).
    I think it was reasonable of me to challenge his wording that it's easier to identify where CF code blocks are by looking at the closing slash rather than the tag name; but having explained himself better, I reckon it's not quite so much tosh as it originally sounded.  I mean: I still can't see it, but obviously he can, so fair enough.

  • Clarification on services-config.xml files for RemoteObject services

    I am currently preparing an AMFPHP environment for exchanging
    data with Flex and AIR applications. I can connect to the services
    via Netconnection, but using RemoteObject won't work.
    Documentation for the necessary configuration files
    (services-config.xml, remoting-config.xml and the like) is, um,
    sparse and seems to be slightly incorrect or misleading at times.
    So I'm looking for clarification about
    changes in the syntax of services-config.xml · in
    examples for Flex 2.01, there are "class" attributes with values
    beginning with "flex.", in Flex 3 examples the attribute name has
    changed to "type", values beginning with "flex." have mostly
    vanished and been replaced with similar looking values beginning
    with "mx.". Are "flex." and "mx." prefixes interchangable?
    correct syntax for linking other files into
    services-config.xml · the livedocs state that Adobe
    prefers linking files into services-config.xml (using something
    like <service-include file-path="remoting-config.xml"/>)
    instead of defining all service parameters there. But in the
    example from the Flex 2.01 livedocs, the root element of the
    service-config.xml file is <services> instead of
    <services-config>. Assuming that <services> is meant as
    a
    child of the <services-config> root element, there
    seems to be a mandatory <service> child element missing.
    That's either intended, illogical, and misleading, or simply
    erroneous.
    which classes are still valid in Flex 3, which have changed?
    · Most of the examples for using RemoteObjects out there are
    for FlexBuilder 2 (e.g.
    here)
    and don't seem to work with FlexBuilder 3 Beta 2. But there is no
    statement to be found in the Flex 3 documentation about what has
    changed.
    a meaningful example for services-config.xml · In the
    Flex 3 Beta 2 documentation here are plenty of references to using
    services-config.xml, as I can find even information about the
    ServerConfig class in the ActionScript 3 Language Reference, a sort
    of wrapper class for the information provided in
    service-config.xml, but there is no information about what
    constitutes a
    working service-config.xml configuration (which XML tags of
    what names containing what attributes need to be present).
    As I'd really like to create cutting-edge Flex and AIR OCC
    applications, I'm eager to have those ambiguities clarified.
    Best regards,
    Cathness

    From the docs it looks like this is used for web services as
    well:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/html/dataservices_config_100_3.html#260186
    If this isn't the right config file, which file should I be
    looking at?

  • "No Virtual Host Found for iCal Service" help?

    I have Leopard Server installed.
    When I try to "Start iCal" in Server Admin, "No Virtual Host Found for iCal Service" pops up.
    Also, I can't configure the server in the Directory Utility. Utility claims the ip address is incorrect, even though I know it is.
    HELP!!!

    I just solved this problem by creating a Kerberos record for the iCal server in my Open Directory server's Kerberos realm. The iCal server can join your Open Directory's Kerberos realm through its Open Directory pane's 'Join Kerberos' button. (I think this could be presented better.)
    If you're not using Kerberos, then you'd probably solve the problem by selecting 'Digest' as the 'Authentication' method.

  • Possible elements in the instanceconfig.xml file for presentation services

    g'day
    Has anyone here come across a list of all the possible elements that can be put in the configuration file for a presentation service, instanceconfig.xml ?<P>
    I have found next to nothing in the documentations, about what can be configured there.<P>
    What I am specifically after is: How can I change the default listening port for the Presentation Service? The default port is 9710 and I want to move to another port.<P>
    Also, how can I move the JavaHost from the default port 9810? I can change the file <i>OracleBI/web/javahost/config/config.xml</i> to reflect the change. Once the JavaHost has been restarted it starts up on the expected port, but the Presentation Service still tries to communicate over RPC to port 9810. How do I configure the presentation service to search for the JavaHost on a non-default port?<P>
    I have boiled it down to my original question: What are the possible values I can configure in the instanceconfig.xml file?<P>
    Any comments here would be great.<P>
    Cheers,<br>
    Borkur

    So, I had a little breakthrough here.
    I found in the OBIEE deployment guide, page 142:
    To change the Presentation Services listener port
    1 Open the instanceconfig.xml file for editing.
    2 Locate the <WebConfig> element.
    3 Within the <WebConfig> tags, create the element <RPC> and assign it the RPC Listener Port
    value for the BI Presentation Services instance, as shown in the following example.
    <WebConfig>
    <ServerInstance>
    <RPC>
    <Listener port="9715" />
    </RPC>
    </ServerInstance>
    </WebConfig>
    NOTE: In the preceding example, the RPC Listener port for the BI Presentation Services instance
    has been changed to port 9715 from the default of 9710.
    4 Save changes to the file.
    This almost works. The RPC element has been deprecated, as was reported in the sawserver.out.log:
    The configuration entry 'RPC/Listener' is deprecated. Please refer to the admin guide for more information.
    What I then did was to just remove the RPC elements and leaving the Listener element straight under there ServerInstance element. This seems to have solved the problem.
    I still have to figure out how to let the Presentation Service know that I have moved the JavaHost to antoher port ...
    Cheers,
    Borkur

  • XML  syntax for  MULTI checkboxes

    Another XML question :
    how do I indicate multi-checkboxes?
    Meaning, instead of ticking one box, you can tick several boxes for the same field/attribute?
    Example :
    *<Field name='WhatKindOfGuy'>*
    *<Display class='???????'*
    *<Property name='Title' value='What kind of guy is Michael?'*
    Let's say I want to present a variety of options : *(a) Cheerful (b) Friendly (c) Openminded (d) Ambitious (e) Dedicated (f) Brash,* etc, etc,etc
    Obviously, Michael can be several of these things.
    So, I want to have several checkboxes.
    What's the correct XML syntax?

    In your case u have to take that many checkboxes, and finally evaluate the checkboxes selected or not on the basis of their values is true or false

    I would like to use the XML parameter as the Web Service's input(Attachment is

    <id>3</id>
    </ids>
    Is there any one can tell me whether this kind of XML was permitted for Web Service
    invoking or not?
    [sample.xsd]

    Hi Andy,
    On the test page, before the invoke of the operation, did it say
    something like:
    <!-- Do not know how to create a sample instance for this part due to
    the following exception:java.lang.InstantiationException:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement. Pls replace this with the correct XML before
    invoking the service. --->
    if so, the service itself may be working OK, the deficiency is that the
    test page tries its best to determine sample values for the invoke,
    however it does not know in this case.
    Did you try with a client?
    Your XML should be fine.
    Regards,

  • CIM XML Examples for Importing Service Item Data

    Use these simple XMLs to edit and create your CIM file to import SI Data...
    The Lifecycle Center guide provides all the instructions on how to create the CIM XML for importing Service Item data - the attached examples can be used as a starting point for you to use.
    The "Host Policies" example provides the format for a single service item
    The "System Policies Approvals" example provides the format for multiple service items
    Note the image below taken from the LCC guide to capture the correct data type that must be used in defining each SI attribute in the XML.

    maybe I'm being a bit slow on the uptake, but I've tried and tried and none of my XML files will import, they always stop at 'Class Not Recognised'.
    I had originally assumed the class was the SI type - does anyone have any information about this?

  • ICal Error: "No virtual host found for iCal Service" - Help!

    Trying to set up iCal on OS X Server 10.5.6
    Server is up and running and successfully providing web services on its FQDN. Server is not currently used to support network users / services, but as and when it does it will be the Master Opendirectory server.
    I have created a couple of test accounts on the server (simply in the Users group) and enabled both for Calendar Access.
    I have provided the details of the FQDN on the iCal page, and checked that the default port (8008) has been opened in the firewall.
    In web services there is one virtual domain (using name based virtual server) and the default domain in operation. Both appear to be functioning as would be expected.
    When I click on 'start service' for iCal, I get this error.
    "No virtual host found for iCal service"
    I cannot find any information about this in iCal manual, or online documentation. Can anyone here provide pointer to where this information is, or what it means?
    Would be most grateful.

  • What is the recommended approach to create XML input for forms service

    Context:
        As part of our development project, we need to retrieve data (eg. Policy details) from different modules and using this data we need to generate PDF document using a particular template (what we have uploaded to live cycle)
    Solution we have tried:
    We have created Java classes from XSD (for a particular template) using JAXB complier. Using these Java classes we instantiated all the parameters using data from different modules and got XML after marshalling. We send this XML as a byte array to forms service to get PDF. No issues in this context.
    After displaying the PDF, under writer will modify some of the data and submit back to the application. Application again uses forms service to retrieve XML back as a byte array. This is where we had issues. We tried un-marshalling using same JAXB classes but we are loosing data for all the rich text fields.
    Can you please guide us to handle this issue ASAP, because we are completely stuck in the development stage. We really appreciate if some one can respond to this issue.

  • Use of xml syntax for jsp's in tomcat 4.0.1?

    hi,
    i am playing around with jsp's on tomcat 4.0.1. when i use xml tags in my jsp's, it appears that tomcat ignores them, eg:
    <jsp:scriptlet>
    code
    </jsp:scriptlet>
    Tomcat does not seem to be running the code - it just prints it out on the screen.
    If I use
    <%
    code
    %>
    it works fine. This also seems to happen for other XML tags, such as <jsp:directive.page>
    Does Tomcat support JSP documents (ie: where all jsp tags are XML?). If it's Servlet 2.3 compliant, I figured it would have to.
    Perhaps I am just doing something foolish?
    Guidance is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Not anything definitive, although a colleague told me that apparenlty not all tags were supported by Tomcat. I suppose there are a few options such as looking at the Jasper source code.

    I've been using a third-party library called JDOM for well over two years and I highly recommend it for your XML processing needs. It recently reached its first productions release and is available for download at http://www.jdom.org.

    Hi Tamekia,
    I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.
    Level-three uninstall, and register the Windows Installer Service

  • Issue when installing SQL Server Express 2012 - "The requested control is not valid for this service" + "Could not find the database engine startup handle"

    Good morning,
    I'm experiencing the following issue when installing Microsoft SQL Server Express 2012 (with tools, SQLEXPRWT_x86_ENU.exe) on the laptop of my company;
    Installation goes plain until around the end of the progress bar, it stops on the setup of
    SqlEngineDBStartConfigAction_install_configrc_Cpu32
    giving 7-8 times, even pressing "Cancel", the message "The requested control is not valid for this service";
    After this, I receive one last message ""Could not find the database engine startup handle", then installation ends with failures, in particular the Database Engine and the Server Replication failed to be installed.
    I've put in my SkyDrive the error log I received after the install;
    I'm at full disposal if you need further information,
    thank you in advance
    Best regards
    Francesco

    Well, i just ran into this issue and the problem was lack of admin rights. It was my company's laptop so got the setup initiated by my company's IT team with admin rights. However, the upon completion of setup, i go the same error messages as stated above:
    SqlEngineDBStartConfigAction_install_configrc_Cpu32
    giving 7-8 times, even pressing "Cancel", the message "The requested control is not valid for this service";
    After this, I receive one last message ""Could not find the database engine startup handle", then installation ends with failures, in particular the Database Engine and the Server Replication failed to be installed.
    Also, if you open SQL Server Configuration, the status of the service is "Change Pending" and you would not be able to set the startup login type to Local Service/System/Network.
    Then, I just got my account added as Local Admin and then tried to start the service and was able to.
    However, I am not sure whether same was the case for you.
    Please mark the answer as helpful if i have answered your query. Thanks and Regards, Kartar Rana
