SolMan alert prioritizing

Hi All,
We have implemented Technical monitoring in our Solution Manager(7.1 SP8) system. We are reciving the mails for the yellow and red alerts.
Is there any way to differentiate the red and yellow alerts for mail alerts(like sending alerts with "high importance" or to different distribution list). As we need to prioritize the alerts, like Red alerts needs to be solved first.
Regards,
Sukanya

Hi Sukanya,
There is no ready made solution available for your scenario, however we may have a workaround. I suggest you customize the email subjects using the procedure mentioned in this blog Customize Email Subject in Solman 7.1 using BADI and then put rules in your mailbox for sorting the emails according to priority in subject line.
Let me know If this works for you.
Regards,
Vivek

  • Sorting alerts in SOLMAN Alert Inbox by time of the alert

    Hi Gurus,
I have not found any method in Solman for sorting alerts in Alert Inbox on basis of their time. Please help me out by your suggestion
    Thanks,
    Pankaj

    Hello Pankaj,
In Workcenters sorting Alerts is done a bit differently than in DSWP > Solution Monitoring > System Monitoring.
When you are in System Monitoring Work Center > Alert Inbox - Then on the top right hand corner is the Settings link.
    >Click settings and select the sort tab.
    >Here you can select the columns to sort the Alerts on.
    >You can choose Server, Instance, Full Name, Current Status and System. Additionally you can specify the sort direction ( >Ascending/Descending ).
    >You can specify more than one field.
    >Once done click apply, to apply the sort, and/or clcik save to save the sort criteria.
Actually this is a much more powerful sort feature here in Workcenter than in DSWP > Solution Monitoring > System Monitoring where you clicked the header of the column and pushed either the sort ascending or sort descending bush buttons.
I do hope this help solve your problem in solman_workcenter.

    Paul

  • ABout SolMan alert - BackgroundService SystemWideFreeBPWP

    Hi,
The alert -'BackgroundService SystemWideFreeBPWP' keeps coming in my system, although at any point of time, the number of background work process are ample in number.
The alert threshold is set for 3 WPs, while the number of available WPs on the system are 30+30.
The 'comparison value' (in RZ20) is marked as 'Last reported value'.
Can somebody suggest what can be the reason for this alert?
    Thanks,
    PJ

    Hello Jain,
Some background could have used all your background processes for fraction of seconds at that point of time. Please review ST22, SM21 for any clue. Please check what all the jobs were run when you received the alert.
    Thanks,

  • Dialog response time exceeds threshold (SOLMAN Alert)

    Dear All,
I found an alert in Solution Manager,
2.023 msec > 2.000 msec Dialog response time exceeds threshold (56 dialog steps)
    What does this alert means?
Are SAP system still in a good performance?
And what kind of action i have to do to clear this alert..?
    thanks and regards
    Rio(nubie)

    Hi
    What does this alert means?
    see answer Mapp Tyrone above
Are SAP system still in a good performance?
SAP performance is not determined only by response time. you have to look globally: your free memory, your ABAP dumps, your swap, your database statistics etc.
And what kind of action i have to do to clear this alert..?
No need to clear it. All you have to do is tune your SAP system to increase your current performance, and one indicator of that is the better response time.
    hope it help you.

  • BPMon - Confirming alerts in managed system (SPS23)

    hi,
does anyone have experience of implementing BADI_BPMON_ALERT_CONFIRMATIO to have the alerts in managed system confirmed when the Solman alerts are confirmed?
any inputs would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Amol

    Hi Pam,
To answer the first part of your question:
    1) Use the report CRM_RULE_TRANS to transport rules from one system to another.
    2) I havent used much of the alert functionality in terms of changing the look and feel but will get back to you soon.
    Reward points if it helps,
    Thanks,

  • Alert Inbox table details

    Dear All
I would like to know whether the details about the alert inbox are stored at DB level (Which Table).
If I am not work , if it is stored in the table E2EA_ALERTGROUP , I am facing an issue in our system .
There is a 1 hour time difference between the Alert Inbox and the entries in the table E2EA_ALERTGROUP .
I have checked Application time and OS time for sync . Both are  same . I have verified  time in system status and the OS time is same .
Alert inbox time is 1hour ahead . It is the correct one . But in table , same alert is stored one hour less .
Please help me to fix the issue .
    Regards
    Bala

Hi Bala, we are encountering a similar issue interfacing with a third party Alert Inbox collector.  The times as stored in the table E2EA_ALERTGROUP appear to be stored in UTC and presented (via SolMan Alert Inbox) in our local timezone correctly.  However, the third party tool is having issues relaying alerts that appear to be "in the future" as they are 4 hours ahead.  I do not know if the date that ends up in E2EA_ALERTGROUP is dictated by some other timzeon setting or is always UTC and then converted.  Please let me know if you get any information on this.

  • Setting up Customised priorities in help- support message in solman

    Hi All,
We have defined some customised priorities for our requirement.
The Priorities are coming in crmd_order and in notif_create but these changes are not found in help->create msg.
The SPRO activity: SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide > SAP Solution Manager > Scenario-Specific Settings > Service Desk > Maintain Categories and Priorities > Maintain Priorities of Dates modified the priorities only in crmd_order transaction.
I have searched in sdn also but could not get much information on it.
The main problem is, in satellite system(ECC) they use help->create msg to create a support message. In which the customised prioties  are not coming.
Request your guidance in this issue.
    Regards,
    Subhashini.

    Hi
    Goto DNO_CUST01 in solman
now choose slf1 on the right side and then click priorities
here add more prirorities for you
But remember this will not enhance help -> create support message in solman or in satellite system
If you want customize in satellite also then modify the standard by develpment
    Hope it helps

  • Alert Configuration  in PI 7.31 using SOLMAN based on Payload

    Hello Experts,
We have created alert configuration in PI which will be consumed by SOLMAN and alerts will be triggered to respective recipients based on alert rules.
The alert rules are created using standard configuration objects in NWA. Everything is good up to now, But the issue we have here is as follow:
We have interfaces segregated based on country wise so the configuration objects will be different for which alert rules are created without any issues.
But for some countries for which interfaces are developed by re-using the existing PI objects, the problem starts here for us:
Since the configuration PI objects are same, we are not able to segregate here the alert rules using config objects resulting the only common alert rule for all these countries.
In this case, alerts will be routed to all these countries whenever there is an alert generated. Obviously it is not the best way to proceed. But there will be difference in payload of message based on country .
Hope my issue is clear to you
Is there any way to set these alert rules based on payload information rather than config objects of PI.
Please help me to achieve this ..your help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

  • BPM Alert in SolMan

    Hello All,
Just want to ask how to stop the BPM alert in SOlMan from sending to a specific email.
Where can I check the configuration? What steps to do?
    Thanks and regards,
    Eco

    Hi Eco
You mentioned, you want to stop BPMon alert e-mail right.
If I understand your situation correctly, you might already setup BPMon and activate.
To setop the BPMon alert, you can remove e-mail notification setting from BPMon session where you setup
monitoring object, key figure threshold value.
In your BPMon setup session, under the specific business process step to that you assigned some monitoring objects,
you may see area called "notification".
Here you might defined e-mail sender and receiver setting, also condition to send e-mail.
So if you remove your setting in this area (leave it blank) you will not receive e-mail alerting to that monitoring object.
    I hope this help your.
    Best Regards

  • Alerts when emails are not going in Solman

    Hi All,
Can we generate email and sms when email is going out and not recieved back in solman system.
Alerting when email not working to solman or from solman, email and sms should be sent to a particular person.
red alert when email Is not going out of SOLMAN
red alert when email are not received bask into  SOLMAN
do we need to define any autoreaction method for it?
    Regards
    Tripti

    > I am saying some time all mail goes ok and some time mails doesnot go at all.
    > we have external - internet means it goes to our outlook as well as our gmail also.
    > SMTP IS alredy configured.
Your mailserver is sometimes requesting authentication and sometimes not. The reason for that can't be found in the SAP system but in the mailserver since that is requesting the authentication.
"Webmail" is the application on top but that is not the system sending and receiving the mail.
The SAP system is out of scope here. I'd check the mail server logs why it is requesting authentication sometimes and sometimes not.

  • Configuring HP-Openview to monitor alerts of CCMS in SAP system via SOLMAN

    Hi All,
I need to configure CCMS in SOLMAN and then monitor the same alerts via HP-Openview because thats what is used in my company to monitor alerts.I have a few queries regarding the same:
    1. Is it possible to configure CCMS in SOLMAN and then monitor the same alerts via HP-Openview.
    2. How actually does HP-Openview work regarding picking up monitoring data from CCMS in SAP.
    3. Does it work like CCMS would be generating logs of the alerts and stored some where and we could congigure HP-OV to look for a keyword in the logfile by giving HP-OV the path of that logfile and as soon as it comes across that keyword it would generate an alert.
    4. Do we need any addon to be downloaded ( also want to know whether its free or cost is involved) and configured in SAP under CCMS that would help Hp-OV to detect alerts.

  • CCMS Alert for J2EE in Solman

    Hi All,
I need to set CCMS alert for J2EE monitoring in solman. Could any one help me in this regard. I guess for this we need to configure GRMG monitoring. Could anyone suggest how to do this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sundara.

    Hello Sundara
You can setup CCMS for J2EE in the following ways
    1. Setup system monitoring in DSWP as you do for ABAP systems
    2. Installing and Registering sapccmsr agents
    3. Availability Monitoing by GRMG Lite and GRMG
    4. Setting up Central Autoreaction
    5. E2E analysis (Solution Manager Diagonostic)
Four options are excellently elaborated in the following link
Setting Up your Central Monitoring [original link is broken]
    and E2E
