Solution Allowing Customers to Pause/Cancel Recurring Orders

Hi,
We've created an eCommerce website for a client, using Business Catalyst, which features recurring payments. The client is asking whether it's possible for their customers to be able to log into their account on the website and pause/cancel recurring orders due to holidays etc (our client runs an organic farm and delivers boxes of fresh fruit/vegetable on a weekly/fortnightly basis).
At the moment, their customer fills in a form, requesting to pause/cancel their order, then our client manually amends the order in the admin back-end.
Does anyone know of a solution (3rd party, API etc) that would allow customers to directly manipulate their orders, without any admin intervention? Is this something that would even be possible, in theory, e.g. move the 'Next Invoice Date' to a later date, for paused orders, or delete the recurring payment for cancelled orders.

Hello Jeff,
This would be a customization. We do have an open API and have functions for adding a saved cart to a live cart, maybe you could tie it in to some sort of service contract?

    I am setting up a recurring product for a customer.  I've tested the process through checkout and it initiates the recurring order fine.
    However, my client wants to have the following self-service features:
    1. Notify customer if payment failed on recurring order (e.g., credit card expired, credit card canceled)
    2. Allow customer to make payment on failed recurring order
           - I know I can set up an invoice payment web form, but will the new transaction code from PayPal be used on future orders?
    3. Cancel subscription - This would cancel recurring order and any pending/future payments, terminate the customer from the secure zone
    4. Cancel auto-renewal - This would just cancel the recurring order and any pending/future payments.
    We are using PayPal Payments Pro.
    I am good with API solutions.

    I'm sorry you haven't been able to cancel your orders as you would have liked. Per BestBuy.com, in most cases, items for shipping can be canceled within 30 minutes of placing the order. In your most recent order, it had begun processing within an hour, after which even our moderators or BestBuy.com representatives are unable to cancel it. I see that it was delivered today. As poprex911 stated, you'll get your refund quickest by taking it to your local store with your order receipt, credit card and ID - this usually reflects in your account within 2-3 business days - or you can mail it back and your refund will be processed once it is received.

  • Cancel Sales Order lines that are picked

    1. I'm trying to cancel sales order lines through process order api that are picked and delivery status is Staged/Pick Confirmed. The error is
    You are not allowed to cancel Order Line because:
    Line has been pick confirmed/staged.
    I'm unable to perform by below means
    1.There is a processing constraint on the field SCHEDULE_ARRIVAL_DATE.
    Delete the processing constraint and retry the cancel line process - Processing constraint form the fields are protected against update
    2.Navigate to the shipping transaction form and query the order. Select the line and enter 0 at shipped quantity.Save the record.Ship confirm the line, this will cause the line to be backordered.Query the order line in the order entry form and cancel this. - Shipping transactions form the fields are protected against update
    2. Is there a way to cancel Internal Sales Order(ISO) lines of one OU and the corresponding internal requisition is another OU

    If you are in R12, there are some enhancements from Oracle that allows updating/cancelling certain Internal requistion fields and Internal orders automatically. You may need to disable few processing constraints too.
    As of Now Oracle support change to following attribute at OM side
    1 Order Quantity
    2 Request Date
    3 Schedule date
    4 Arrival date
    Similarly if we make changes in following fields in Approved IR
    1 Quantity
    2 Need by Date
    These changes will got reflected in ISO
    Plus cancel the IR line or ISO line, the other one gets cancelled automaically.
    To cancel the picked line, first undo the pick confirmation process by back ordering. or unassign the delivery details from the delivery (if created already) and cancel the delivery.In either case, you need to manually trasnfer the qty from staging area to original locations. Oracle doesn't automatically move the qty back, (undo move order transaction).

    Sara, I still can't get through to Chat. Can you have somebody call me or would you chat with them and tell them to refund the order that you had cancelled on 9/1/14, #0282954524.
    This is a waste of my time but I don't like paying for something and not getting the service or product.
    I cancelled this order within minutes there should never had been a charge.
    Please follow this through or pass it along to your supervisor or higher. I want this taken care of today please.

  • Anyone else find it stupid you can't cancel an order 5 hours later?!

    I ordered a computer yesterday only to find out my boyfriend ordered me one. So, i called customer service to cancel it and they wouldn't since it had already been processed. Bunch of Bull****. Unless my custom computer was already built,packed and shipped in those 5 hours there is no reason HP can not cancel the order i made. It seems like a waste of time/resources to put the computer together just so I can send it back to them to get a refund back to my credit card. if anyone knows any tips to get around this please let me know.

    Showing current date as posting date after Cancelling Process Order Confirm:
    Issue with FICO and PP :-, after settlement (ko88) and all period end closing, system still allowed doing Cancelling Process Order Confirmation (CORS) and Showing current data as posting data

    My order created on 30th September 2010 and order confirmed on the same day ie my posted date (30th September 2010)

    I have created a sales order which is in booked status. I want to cancel the order line . when I am running the concurrent request I am getting the following error message.I am using the process order API to perform this operation.
    API Error Message You are not allowed to update Inventory Item because:
    line has been booked
    API Error Message You are not allowed to update Line Type because:
    Line is Booked

    What concurrent program you are running? Is it a custom or seeded one? And, what is the API name?

  • Verizon admits error in cancelling my order and offers no restitution

    I ordered an iPhone 5 and Verizon admits that my order was automatically cancelled by mistake.  I asked a Verizon representative, "who cancelled the order and why?"  The Representative claimed no explanation was given for the Cancellation.  According to the Representative, my order was simply cancelled by the Verizon ordering system and not directly by a person.  
    Instead of offering to reactivate my cancelled order, the Representative offered to create a new order and have me wait another month for iPhone 5 delivery.  I explained to the Representative that reordering will be extremely inconvenient because I will out of the country.  The Representative will contact her manager, but she already knows from past experience that her manager will not do anything to help me.  
    Verizon is now charging me for an iPhone 5 plan except without an iPhone 5.  Verizon profits from their mistakes and offers no restitution, except to say they are "sorry for the inconvenience."  If I thought other cell-phone carriers treat their customer with more respect than Verizon, I would switch to another carrier, but I have my doubts about other carriers. 
    I am considering just living without the expense and inconvenience of an iPhone plan.  I am disgusted with the way Verizon treats their customers.  Their attitude is their problem is your responsibility so just live with it.

    What do you mean by an 'iPhone 5 plan"?  When you placed your order, were you upgrading from a basic phone?

  • BT cancelled my order

    Am currently rectifying the problem (hopefully, update to follow).
    Story do far. Placed home move and upgrade to infinity 3/9/13 for a move 23/10/13. All done online. 3 weeks after ordering I get a call from India saying please ring BT. Rang BT and they said my order has had a problem. Couldn't understand them but turns out the engineer cancelled my order as couldn't understand new postcode being similar to old one. Moving nearby. BT asked I call back in 24 hours ! Called back and the BT asked I call back in 24 hours. Still Oder blocked and asked call back in 48 hours. After 4 days of calling each time taking nearly an hour. Still trying. BT say sorry but still no clearer.
    Back with an update soon. .....

    You can cancel the order any time up to when the service is delivered.  They should give you the deposit back, but don't assume it will be "right away".

  • How do I cancel an order interdicting the installation  Adobe Fladh on  PC?

    The first day I downloaded Adobe Flash (without which I can not see anything) I was asked if allow this program to install on my computer. Stoneware, I clicked on not. Computer security system registered as such.
    Now I would like to cancel the order but do not know how  because the system does not allow installation.
    Specify the operating system is widows 7 premium.
      Please tell me what to do !

    Can be installed manually or ofline, but then are not allowed to run. the security system has registered as a virus (probably). In this case the whole system crashes.

  • Officially cancelled my order

    I ordered my phone at 12:40 am EDT July 15 and got confirmation at that time.  I was so excitied to be on of the first to order and was really looking forward to receiving my phone today....
    Unfortunately, my order has not ever moved.  I kept checking the order site and calling to try and find out why it wasn't moving and no one knew....all they could tell me was that it was still pending.  The closest thing I got to an answer was that my order was going to have to be entered manually and that I was 'in line' and that it would take 2-5 days to process. 
    I guess since I am already a customer and I was only adding a new line, I'm not worth trying to keep...when I said I wanted to cancel the order, all I got was a 'sorry, our system was just really overloaded, we'll cancel your order when it is not longer pending.'
    I am extremely dissappointed.

    If you were to decide to cancel your order and My Best Buy™ certs were applied to the order, then you should see the point value for those certificates repost to your account within 3 to 6 business days.  You should be able to convert those points into new certificates once they have reposted to your account.
