There are a number of files on your system that a package wants to provide thus causing a conflict.  Aborting with warnings is the expected behavior.  Now the question is: what placed the files on your system?  Did you manually compile and install python2 or other packages by chance?
Let's see if any package that pacman installed owns one of those files (I'm guessing now); post the output of:
pacman -Qo /usr/include/python2.7/abstract.h
As that was your 1st post, welcome to Arch.  Plz use code tags in your posts --> https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode

  • Cannot install LR5 due to not having Windows 7.

    I purchased an update of LR5 and cannot load it because I do not have Windows 7. Is there anything I can do other than buying a new computer?

    From what I conclude, it is not an upgrade to 4.4, but a stand alone program that all of a sudden needs windows 7, which I do not have. After downloading windows 7 test program to see if I can have windows 7 and it's compatibility, it turns out my machine is not compatible or many issues with warning symbols. I am in the process of purchasing a new laptop with 12GB ram and 1TB hard drive, windows 8, with NVIDIA G Force video card just so I can play with LR5. All I am saying is, if it's an upgrade, fine, don't change the operating system requirements. Make it a stand alone program. Then, previous owners of LRxx have the option of buying LR5 at a reduced rate rather than paying full price. Then everyone is aware of the incompatibilities.
    Thx for listening to my rant and I appreciate Adobe to offer to repurchase the software. I just hope I can re-load LR4.4 on this new laptop and accept LR5 without having to pay again for LR4.4.

    You're welcome Rémi,
    Unfortunately, purchasing software, much like anything else you buy online, is pretty much on the buyer to beware.  The vendor cannot know the intended use, whether the software is being purchased for the machine at hand, or another machine, or as a gift for someone else.  They provide a list of system requirements in the product pages but don't intrude into your machine to determine whether or not it is a suitable match.
    It looks like Jeff might have provided a reasonable recourse for you.  Hopefully you won't run into a problem there.

    hello
    I was browsing a couple of sites today, and during browsing, i received a message saying "safari cannot install profile due to unknown error" , i am not to sure which of the sites gave this message, and browsing over them again does not give this message. I am using an iPad 2 16gb wifi. when going to General -> Settings , i dont have a profiles tab, so am not sure what profile it was trying to load. i also have nothing changed in my settings that i can see, should i be worried, that there is some spyware or malware loaded?. can an ipad get any kind of bad things through a profile install?. i have looked online but cannot see an answer.

    Generally it is less pain to stick to pacman only.  Using anything else would mean pacman cannot know what packages certain files belong to, similar to what you ran into here.
    Got it. Seems I have to reinstall my python packages from scratches again.
    Thanks to all the help.

  • [SOLVED] Cannot install 'renpy'

    Hallo.
    I want to install renpy. So, I downloaded 'renpy-aio' from aur. 'pyhton-renpy' and 'renpy' are outdated.
    I successfully compiled them with makepkg and now I have two .pkg.tar.gz files. But when I try to install them with pacman, I receive the following error:

    karol wrote:Do you have https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-renpy/ installed?
    Well, I finally installed it. I first installed your suggestion and then I installed python-renpy-aio-6.18.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz and renpy-aio-6.18.3-1-any.pkg.tar.xz.
    Pacman removed the outdated python-renpy [6.17.xxx version] and everything is ok.
    After some tests to understand what was wrong, all I needed to install from the builded Aur package was:
    python-renpy-aio-6.18.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
    renpy-aio-6.18.3-1-any.pkg.tar.xz
    and NOT renpy-allinone-6.18.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz because there was an conflict with 'renpy' package.
    Problem solved. Thank you...

    Thank God, everything is fixed now:
    First, I deleted all these files, then i follows the following procedure
    1. For libgexiv2 file i upgraded 'xorg-server, xorg-xinit, xorg-utils, xorg-server-utils' from pacman
    # pacman -S xorg-server xorg-xinit xorg-utils xorg-server-utils
    2. For libraw file i upgraded 'libraw' from pacman
    # pacman -S libraw
    There will be some conflicting files
    After deleting some conflicting files it solves the problem and restore all the 'lib' file.

  • [SOLVED]Cannot install Skype - Libglapi

    Hi. I've stumbled upon a problem I cannot fix. When I try to install Skype, I receive this error:
    sudo pacman -S lib32-libglapi
    resolving dependencies...
    warning: cannot resolve "libglapi", a dependency of "lib32-libglapi"
    :: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
    lib32-libglapi
    Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N] y
    error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
    :: lib32-libglapi: requires libglapi
    Pressing "n" doesn't make a difference. I've tried to remove libglapi and lib32-libglapi by pacman -R lib32-etc, but no avail.
    sudo pacman -R lib32-libglapi
    error: 'lib32-libglapi': target not found
    sudo pacman -R libglapi
    error: 'libglapi': target not found
    What am I doing wrong? :S

    Oh, sorry. I forgot the most important piece of text. Here it is:
    sudo pacman -S skype
    Password:
    resolving dependencies...
    warning: cannot resolve "libglapi", a dependency of "lib32-libglapi"
    :: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
    skype
    Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N] y
    looking for inter-conflicts...
    there is nothing to do
    and
    sudo pacman -S skype
    resolving dependencies...
    warning: cannot resolve "libglapi", a dependency of "lib32-libglapi"
    :: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
    skype
    Do you want to skip the above package for this upgrade? [y/N] n
    error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
    :: lib32-libglapi: requires libglapi
    And I have both repositories enabled.

  • Cannot install AIR app in an existing folder

    Hi to all, I'm trying to create a setup for my AIR application. I have an NSIS script that install all the files that the AIR app needs in the targer folder. The AIR app is copied in a temp dir and then is lauched for installation but the installer said that it cannot install the application because the target folder is existing? What can I do to remove this check?
    Thanks a lot,
       Andrea

    Correction to above.
    Can't find folders to choose to place bookmarked item into. There is no list like I had in my XP laptop.

  • Error message; cannot install update due to other Firefox versions installed. How do I checkfor other versions ?

    Cannot install Firefox 7.0 update. Getting message that update cannot be completed. Check for other versions already installed. How do I look for other versions ?

    Do a clean (re-)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • (SOLVED)Cannot install WINE (x86_64 Arch)

    Hey.
    I cannot install WINE. I already enabled =multilib=, did "pacman -Syu", restarted.
    sudo pacman -S wine
    error: target not found: wine
    I did "pacman -Scc" a few times and chose "Yes" when I was asked to clear unused Repos.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    To update smplayer I need qt5-base, but there seems to be a conflict between something I have installed and qtchooser:

    @fredbezies
    It is a file from qtchooser.
    - no it isn't, because that is what I am trying to install
    @Mr.Elendig
    sticky thread is sticky
    says
    As a user, you must figure out what is causing the conflict and act accordingly.
    which is what I am trying to do
    Also, always use -Syu when installing things
    Yes, I do, I just used -S to illustrate that it was smplayer calling in the dependencies and causing the conflict.
    Thanks anyway
