[SOLVED]Clang and Library Files

I just installed Clang and it doesn't have the c++ libraries founded yet.
These are the directions I have to fix it but I have no idea where it's located.
If you intend to work on Clang C++ support, you may need to tell it how to find your C++ standard library headers. If Clang cannot find your system libstdc++ headers, please follow these instructions:
'gcc -v -x c++ /dev/null -fsyntax-only' to get the path.
Look for the comment "FIXME: temporary hack: hard-coded paths" in clang/lib/Frontend/InitHeaderSearch.cpp and change the lines below to include that path.
Any help would be appreciated.

  • I've moved an internal hard drive with all my music and library files to a new computer --- how can I get itunes to import the whole library while keeping my metadata?

I've always kept all my music on its own dedicated internal hard drive.  Now I've got a new PC, finally made the switch to Windows 7 from XP, and I've moved my internal hard drive over to the new machine.
I installed iTunes, but I'm having a heck of a time getting it to import the music and library files, keeping all my playlists and metadata.  Why is this so hard?

If your New to You Used Mac is froom mid 2012 and originally came with Lion installed on it you will need to Reinstall that version using the Online Internet Recovery system and then at first boot of the new install use the Setup Assistant system to copy over all the data from your wifes old hard drive.
To access the Online system at startup hold down the Command + Option/alt + r keys and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen. From the resulting screen that cames up, Mac OS X Utilities, select Disk Utility and then the top most entry for the hard drive, left hand panel, drive model number and size, and then the Partition tab. Repartition the drive as One Partition, You Must do that to get ride of the Mavericks Recovery HD partition which is hidden. Name the partition Macintosh HD with a format of Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Once that is done exit disk utility and select Reinstall Mac OS X.

  • Getting BAPI header and library files

    Hi,
I'm going to develop a job scheduling system that satisfies XBP 2.0 certification requirements.
I received some documents of XBP 2.0 from a SAP ICC consultant and reviewed them.
Now I'm going to prepare for setting up a development environment and to start progamming.
I have successfully gotton RFC header and library files from SDK.
And then, I tried to find header and library files for BAPI_XBP_ function calls, but I couldn't find them.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the header and library files for XBP APIs?
Someone told me that I should use transaction "BAPI" or "SE37", but I couldn't figure out how to use them.
Does anyone have a step-by-step document to get BAPI_XBP function calls?

    Hello,
Type 'SE37' into the white box at the top left (if it's not to the right of the green tick, click on the triangle which is there) and enter the function module name and hit f7, then look around.

  • Explain media files and library files

Are media file for windows 8 and library files for XP?

Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
Essentially the library files are all things that aren't your media that the library needs in order to work, so includes the Album Artwork folder as well as the files mentioned above. The media files are the songs, videos, books, apps, etc. that are in your library. The red line indicates the media folder. Ideally all your media files should be located inside here. Although it is possible to store media files elsewhere it will be easier to backup, move or migrate a library in the normal layout.
The normal location for the iTunes library is <User's Music>, where the exact path to that depends on operating system and user name.

  • Sharing iTunes music AND library files between multiple users in Windows XP

My wife and I share the main computer and both use iTunes, each of us with our own iPod. While Apple covers how to share your music directory itself (which I did when iTunes was first installed by making the music directory C:\music), it doesn't allow you to share the library files--so, for example, if you added a playlist in one account it doesn't sync with the other.
Microsoft has an app called Sync Toy which allows you to keep any set of files/folders on a Windows box synchronized with another set. I use Sync Toy to run a scheduled task each day in the middle of the night to sync the files in the iTunes directory in our %homepath%\My Music folders with each other--the most recently updated one will be synchronized.
Just thought I'd share this tidbit of info since I haven't seen it posted before and it's saved my wife and I a lot of time.
Hope this helps someone out there.

That is one way to do it. There is another way, which is only slightly more difficult, but which you might find more attractive.
Basically, iTunes expects to find your library files in the "My Music/iTunes" folder. However, "My Music" is a special system folder, its location is defined by Windows.
If you download TweakUI, you can use it to set where your My Music folder is. So, if you create a folder that both you and your wife can access, and then set both of your My Music folders to be that folder, then you will have a shared library. No syncronization needed, changes you make to one will happen to the other because you both have the same library files.
Only downside to this is that you can't use Fast User Switching and thus have both people logged in and using iTunes at the same time, because while one of you has the library open, the other can't access it until you close it.
    It works fine.

  • Updating Templates and Library Files Crawl

    Hello,
I'm having a problem that revolves around saving library and
template files. When I make an edit to either file type, the
program starts to crawl very slowly and can take up to 2 minutes or
more to update the dependent files. I've tried a reinstall but with
    no success. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Nick

How many dependent files are there? Are they located on your
    local box, or
on a remote, shared drive on the network?

Be sure you're signed-on as the user who "owns" the backups.
If that doesn't help, try a +*Repair Disk+* on your backups, per #A5 of the Time Machine - Troubleshooting *User Tip,* also at the top of this forum.

  • Transfer songs and library file from PC to Mac KEEPING them on external drive

I am struggling to find a definitive answer to this. I have all my files stored on an external hard drive on a PC.
I recently got a Macbook and want to transfer all my files to the new Mac.
I know that I will need a new Mac compatible external hard drive and that I will have to copy the files onto the new hard drive.
However I cannot find instructions on doing the transfer to the new Mac that explain doing this AND KEEPING the files on the external drive.
To clarify...I don't want to put them on the new Macs hard drive as I have around 300GB of music, I want to keep them on the external hard drive.
its probably very simple simple but am struggling to get a decent answer. have read loads of stuff that explain moving it to the mac hard drive ...buts thats not what I want to do!
    thanks in advance

See Make a split library portable. A portable library can be stored entirely on an external drive and moved between Mac and Windows computers. iTunes takes a little longer to open the library the first time after each switch. If your drive is currently formatted to NTFS then you will need an additional driver to enable OS X to write to the drive, or simply clone the library to an HFS+ drive.

  • How I can reinstall OSX 10.8 with applications only? i.e No system preferences and library files from time machine

    Hi there,
I would like to clean install mac os x, but I want to keep all my applications (such as photos and music from itunes etc) from a time machine backup. I am having some issues with my widgets and sleep mode, of which I have searched high and low for answers. My only resolve now is the re-install mac os, but Im afraid 4 years of use have resulted in a mess in terms of prefrence lists and everything. Is it possible to exclude the library from time machine and then reinstall mac os, with a new library, but keeping all my apps, so that in effect, it runs like new, but with all my apps?
    Any help is much appreciated.

You can exclude the Library if you don't transfer your user files, so copy your user files manually to another external disk if you don't want to lose them. You can keep your applications without any problem
To restore the Time Machine backup, follow these steps:
    1. Press Command and R keys while your Mac is starting, and open Disk Utility.
    2. Select Macintosh HD on the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
    3. Close Disk Utility, select the option to restore a Time Machine backup and follow the steps. When it asks you for what you want to restore, select only your applications. After restoring the backup, copy your user files back to the hard drive

  • Definitive Word On ID3 Tags, Library Files & Which Data Is Stored Where...

I have spent a few hours just now (and have read the discussions a lot previously) on various iTunes issues, namely ones pertaining to organization and storage of data & info. I still have quite a few questions I would like the definitive answers for. If anyone knows for sure, thanks in advance for your response!
    1) Is there any difference between how and where iTunes stores data for audio (mp3, m4a, aif, etc.) files vs. movie (mpg, mp4, mov) files, and if so, what are they?
    2) In the info tabs/panes of tracks in iTunes, is the entered data stored in separate places? i.e., the info under the INFO pane stored in the individual media file itself while that in the OPTIONS pane stored in the main library file? Also, did I read correctly that Convert ID3 Tags causes more of the library file data to be embedded in the media file itself? (Not desirable of course, because each play would in effect "modify" the file as if it had changed and needed to be resynched, since play count is part of the data).
    3) Is there a difference between where editable data (artist, title, equalizer setting, genre, rating, etc.) is stored vs uneditable data such as play count, date added, last played, etc.?
    4) Is there a list somewhere online that shows what data is stored in the library file (settings unique to the iTunes) and what is universally in the standard ID3 tag in the media file itself?
    5) Is it safe to assume that rating, equalizer, volume, remember position and start/stop time settings for each individual track are not in the ID3 tag but only in the library file? If so, one can then assume that merely copying the library file will preserve these settings?
    6) Are ID3 tags applied and applicable to movie and audio files similarly, and do they further differ how & if they are used among each file type (mp3, m4a, aif, wav, mpg, mp4, mov, etc.)? I know with movies you cannot set or change the poster frame in mpg (muxed) files, for example.
    7) I do all my iTunes importing, editing, managment, etc. on my PowerMac desktop, with the prefs, library and xml files stored in my home folder on the PowerMac's OS drive and the large media files store on an attached ext. 500 GB FW drive. If I use a synching program to continuously keep the library/xml files the same on my iBook laptop's home folder and the media files the same on another ext. 160 GB FW drive, then when I use the iBook with the 160 GB at different events it should operate exactly the same a when using my PowerMac at home with the 500 GB? The only thing I should have to change is the location of the iTunes folder in the Prefs on the iBook to point to the 160 GB, right?
    8) Finally, now that iTunes 7 allows you to indicate sort order ("The Beatles" can now appear under "B" without writing "Beatles, The" as I have been) would it retain that sort when importing the song list into other database programs or even an iPod, or would it default back to "T"? (AppleWorks database has a similar feature where you can specify an ARTIST field which sorts by first letter of last word, but won't stay that way in other programs).
PHEW! ...long post I know, but I spent a lot of time reading and hopefully over time I can get the answers to most (or even all) of these questions. Thanks!!!
PowerMac G4/500 MHz (1 GB); iBook G4/1.33 GHz (1.5 GB)   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   (still using 10.3.9 Panther on PowerMac)

I read this on the ID3 site:
ID3 tags were designed with the MP3 file format in mind. ID3v2 tags will break formats which are container-based such as Ogg Vorbis and WMA. Here is some information on specific formats:
ID3 tags work in MP3 and MP3pro files
    WAV has no tags
WMA has its own tagging format, which is specified in the wma spec, available in the MSDN (which unfortunately, basically does not allow Open Source implementations)
Ogg Vorbis uses "Xiph Comments" (same as later versions of FLAC and Speex), which are embedded into the Ogg container. You can find information on these in the comment and container specs on www.xiph.org
AAC uses yet another tagging format, which does not at present have a published spec as of 3/1/2006.
So since I rip in AAC, does that mean the tags work differently, are stored differently or offer different editable info? Also, I found nothing regarding tags for video files as I mentioned in my question. Within iTunes I am assuming all the information you may edit or view when you Get Info for each file is not all stored together: some is in the file's ID3 tag and others in the iTunes Library file. I guess you are always safe if you keep back-ups of your media files and library files, even if you don't always know which info resides where.
I found a complete list of frames (fields) that are available in ID3v2 at the following link, many not available in iTunes, but the site lists other apps that allow you to edit tags for both Mac & Windows.
    http://www.id3.org/Frames
I am curious, if you use another app to edit the tag with a frame not offered in iTunes, will it still work in iTunes (like if you use the frame for synchronized lyrics; since it is part of the tag itself will they show up when played in iTunes even though not editable in iTunes)?

  • Why do I have 2 sets of Library Files?

    Hi All,
I have a Macbook Pro which I upgraded to Lion in October last year.
I've noticed that the HD (250GB) is almost always full. I have a 1TB volume Time Machine that I keep a lot of old stuff on. I've been looking to see why the disk is full and I see that applications and Library files take up about 27GB and 40GB respectively. Music takes 45GB and Pictures 2GB. By my humble maths, that makes around 115GB and I can't for the life of me see where the remaining 135GB is being used up by.
What I vae noticed is that there seems to be two sets of Library files. There's one that came with the machine but there seems to be another one that appeared when I upgraded to Lion. Is this right that there should be two sets of Library files? I've had a quick look and they seem to contain identical files. Can I delete one of these? sets? If so, which one should I delete? One resides directly on the Macintosh HD and the other is under HD/System/

    Mrben1969 wrote:

You should have three different folders named "Library". They are
<~/Library>, or the Library folder in your Home folder (aka, Library folder from user domain)
</Library>, or the Library folder at the root level of your startup disk (aka, Library folder from local domain)
</System/Library>, or the Library folder in the System folder (aka, Library folder from system domain)
And under no circumstances should you even dream of deleting any one of them.
Should this dream ever occur, you need to get cured by reading a basic book about Macs, eg, David Pogue's "Missing Manual…".

  • If I uninstall then reinstall iTunes will I loose my library files?

My iTunes is playing very, very glitchy and I have tried everything I can think of so I wanted to do a clean install. So I was going to uninstall it and then reinstall it. If I do that will I loose my album artwork and my playlists? I have backed up the library .xml file but will that be deleted too?

Your music and library files should be fine, they are not affected by uninstalling iTunes. As long as you don't delete My Music\iTunes - this is not part of the uninstall process.
It is a good idea to backup the library files anyway:
    The library files are in:
    My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Close iTunes and wait about 30 seconds.
Copy iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml somewhere else e.g. into the Previous iTunes Libraries folder.
To restore, with iTunes closed drag the current itl and xml file from the iTunes folder to the desktop, then copy the backup iTunes Library.itl into the iTunes folder. The xml file isn’t necessary but can come in handy if the library needs to be recreated and the itl file is causing problems.
