[SOLVED]dmraid: "sda: p4 exceeds device capacity" errors during bootup

hello all.
I made my first raid and arch64 setup. everything is working and its fast
My laptop (asus g71v) suports raid, and i've managed to get it to work with windows and linux, using intel raid setup in bios.
I'm using dmraid to create the fakeraid devices in /dev/mapper and system boots. But I can see this errors. It looks that linux is trying to acess the discs directly and gives structure errors.

Hmm... I didn't know you could do that. Are you sure it can? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Di … ison_table
I thought dm-crypt basically did block level encryption.
I guess this is a "virtual partition"? Maybe https://www.linux.com/community/blogs/1 … nux/280174 helps? It seems to mount it as loopback prior to encryption?

This wls instance can't afford huge requests.

    This ExecuteThread number is 360th.
I think your instance is already too busy.
I guess OOME is second issue.
If i have to solve this problem, i consider several follow things.
    1. Check the total requests.
         - I guess we need to sizing of wls instances.
    2. Extend wls instance count.
         - Under 100 ExecuteThread per wls instance
    3. Find long term requests, especially STUCK thread.
         - Tuning that requests under JTA timeout.
    4. Set the -Xms and -Xmx as same value.
         - For performance.
I hope this will be helpful to you

    USB\VID_0FCA&PID_8001\5&3100FCC1&0&5
been through the forums for months tracking this down on how to clear it.  Downloaded the calfix.exe program as that was the only clue that related to the 8001 error, ran it and nothing, did not work.  Fix was for versions 4.7 to ver 5.
I can sync, load and upgrade BB software without any problems, tried two different memory card manufacturers, formatted card, pulled battery so many time don't ask me to do it again.  mass storage mode is on, but software keeps telling me to turn it on even though its already on, been on since day one!  Everything works via bluetooth, pictures, video, mp3, but windows just can't see the memory card.
Also went through the computer management to loocate the drive, but no luck?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Are you attempting the format or looking at the Media Card from the BB WHILE you are plugged to the USB?
Unplug and try it all again.

  • Windows 8.1 Installed now I received a Fatal Device Hardware Error

Windows 8.1 kept popping up to install update.  I would refuse it.  Then recently it updated itself.  After that, i noticed it took a little longer for my laptop to boot.  It would show a blue screen for a little bit then it would boot.  Yesterday, I received an error (can't remember what it said) needed to restart because of an error.  I ran the Hard Disk Test and Quick and then the extensive test.  it stops at one sec remaining and noting happens.  I did get a fatal device hardware error.  Can the update to Windows 8.1 cause this to happen?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
That's what it looks like to me too.

  • Exceeds Disc Capacity when it shouldn't

I'm creating a DVD with a single title and one main menu that simply has a play button. The DVD compliant mpg is 2,675,243 KB. Encore is saying that my project exceeds disc capacity. I have no ROM content on this disc. This DVD is one in a series of 20. All of the others have fit on a DVD 5 fine, some with significantly larger source files than this. Does anyone have any idea why I'm getting this error? I have tried recreating the project from scratch, but I get the same results every time.
    Thanks.

Ok, I went ahead and tested it now. What I suspected was indeed the case. The source files for this series of DVDs that I'm doing are of questionable quality...well downright low quality. The client is aware and that's what they want to do. Anyway, something about that file must be corrupt because the resulting encode is showing up as non-compliant (all my other files did not need to be Transcoded).
Anyway, long story short, Encore wanted to Transcode, and my Transcode settings were at a much higher bit rate than these low quality DVDs we're doing. Therefore the new, transcoded file turned out to be a lot larger than my original source file. I adjusted the Transcode settings and now it fits.
Thanks again for trying to help out! Case closed.

  • POL 3012 device write error on windows mobile 6 and lite 10.2.0.1

    Hi all,
This was an issue even some times ago and still appearing on and off for some clients and I did not find any recovery process which could be done remotely via the web to go admin.
    1. When the device write error occurs we cannot initiate sync or any other from client or server and it just gives pol 3012.
    2. If this happens to a client in far away area , how can we re configure the device from remotely (still device management is up and running).
    3. If there is any mechanism to do a complete database refresh and re-create at client device from the admin functions in web to go device management.
    4. Even the complete refresh sync has no use when this occurs and If we can delete and recreate the odb files only on the device it will be very convinient.
    5. Currently only way i can see is just to uninstall the client and do a complete installation with deleting the odb files that arfe in the storage card.
Any help on this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Paninie.

    greetings:P
well in our client it doesnt work to "and then asked the user to ..." users usually dont know how to use the handheld , some times they are very old and we never ask the users to do something like deleting the files manually because that normally causes them to start complaining and say stuff like "your app sucks etc etc":(:(
my proposal is much simplier and will work i think for your purpose. you simply create a small c sharp application. you asked
"How to create it to stop DMAgent."
well thats very simple in c sharp and in most languages i think,
OpenNETCF.Diagnostics.Process is the namespace you need to work with, you simply kill the process with name dmagent.exe. this is the simplest way to close the dmagent in 5-6lines of code.(use the OpenNETCF.Diagnostics.Process class, from the OpenNETCF
library, which you can download from http://www.opennetcf.org)
then you use the normal file.delete to delete the files of the database, and then you want to do the sync, that can be easilly done through c sharp as you already do i guess.
the cab file i mentioned is simply the way to distribute the small c sharp app to all clients. it can be created with simply cab files generators which are freeware or through visual studio.
you can distribute the small app to all clients simply through the packaging wizard. so when a user has a problem you dont need to "ask the user to .." you just tell him ok, leave the the handheld alone for 15 minutes and it will get fixxed by itself, you send the command i described in my previous reply and the handheld's small app fixxes the problem. the user doesnt need to get involved. the cab file is sent to all clients (actually it is downloaded through oracle lite) . of course you dont wait for the problem to happen and then send the cab file. all users will have the cab file's small application preinstalled . it will be on the mobile device waiting for the command. so even if in some point this error occurs you can handle it. you dont wait for a user to call and say i have a problem and then send the cab file.
btw if you want to distribute your cab file you open the packaging wizard, edit your application..go in the file selection tab and select your cab file. the next time all users sync they will be asked to install the cab file. this is how we install our cab files, and this is how we install our application upgraded versions, we do not copy the cab files in a flash disk or send them with email or stuff like that. all application cab files are distributed through oracle lite remotely when ( i love olite for this, in other systems like mobilink you need to buy a second program to do that or else send your cab files through email.... ) .
code for stopping dmagent should look like about this
    using OpenNETCF.ToolHelp;
    ProcessEntry[] processes= ProcessEntry.GetProcesses();
    foreach(ProcessEntry pe in processes){
    if(pe.ExeFile.Equals("dmagent.exe")){
    pe.Kill();
    break;
stopping the dmagent is like stopping any other running process on the windows mobile.
so you have 5-6 lines of code for stopping the dmagent+1-2 lines for the file.delete (for the database files)+1 line for the c sharp olite synchronization . your app shouldnt be more than 10 lines of code i think.
we have used this cab file tactic which was proposed from an oracle lite representative actually after our request for creating a server side initiated synchronization which syncs a specific set ot tables with push only. we wanted the guy on the office to have a small java app which will have a button that sends a specific command on the handheld that forces it without the user concent to sync some specific tables with push only , the normal synchronize databases command can not do this job, so we created our own small c sharp app, which is distributed as a second cab file (the first is the main app) and the users now in the office have a small java util where they select the user and then send the command (using the java apis). so this second cab file+command tactic can help in solving a lot of problems. give it a try.

    Hi,
The queue in question here is not a JMS queue. Instead,
this is the "execute queue" of jobs waiting to be
serviced by a thread in its thread pool.
I think the size of these queues is configurable on the
thread pool. Note that if dead-lock is locking up threads
              and causing the problem,
you will likely need to increase the number of threads
or dedicate server-side resources to their own thread pools
rather than (or in addition to) increasing the size
of the execute queues. (A thread dump helps
              in diagnose dead-locks.)
Likely this error is on a server side thread pool, so
there should be warnings/error messages in the server logs
              that describe what is happening.

  • UnsyncCircularQueue$FullQ Queue exceed maximum capacity of: '65536' element

    dear friends:
Does anyone knows the problem like this <BEA-002911> <WorkManager ClusterMessaging failed to schedule a request due to weblogic.utils.UnsyncCircularQueue$FullQueueException: Queue exceed maximum capacity of: '65536' elements
weblogic.utils.UnsyncCircularQueue$FullQueueException: Queue exceed maximum capacity of: '65536' elements
why this happend and how to solve it?
    thanks a lot!

    Hi,
Weblogic has a maximum storage for Pending Request queue configured at 65536. At this point, it will stop accepting incoming request to your Server Socket port.
This means that your Weblogic server / JVM very likely has depleted its internal Thread Pool triggering Weblogic to start queuing incoming requests; eventually reaching its maximum capacity.
From a resolution perspective, you will need to investigate the root cause, Thread Dump generation and analysis will be required in your case.
Please generate a JVM Thread Dump (kill -3 <pid> for UNIX OS) and share detail on Thread contention / problem pattern.
    Thanks.

  • Undocumented problem solved with 16-bit pcmcia and irq error

I am having the exact same problem as described in the following post:
"Undocumented problem solved with 16-bit pcmcia and irq error."
"I'm using a DAQ Card (AI-16E-4), which didn't work properly in MAX. MAX complained that the card didn't respond to an interrupt request.
I've had this issue for a while, but dropped it, since NI support told me nothing could be done about it. Meanwhile, a seemingly unrelated problem with a wireless pcmcia network card arose. Cisco had no clue what was wrong with their card either, but I found Microsoft Knowledge Base Article Q327947. It seems that Win2k (they claim SP3 and up) disables ISA to PCI routing, which is what causes this problem.
    To fix it, open regedit
    and navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Pcmcia\Parameters"
edit or create the DWORD value "DisableIsaToPciRouting" and set the value data to 0.
See Microsoft's article for further details: http://support.microsoft.com/default. aspx?scid=kb;en-us;327947"
The difference is that I am using WinXP and the Regedit fix does not solve the problem. Does anybody know how he was able to continue to use the card before he solved the problem? The card works fine in MAX, but errors out in LabVIEW.

    Hey Willy,
Here some additional suggestions that have corrected some PCMCIA difficulties in the past besides the registry edit you suggested.
    1. General Troubleshooting to Verify Correct Hardware and Software Installation
Uninstall the PC Card hardware through Device Manager
Remove the PC Card from the laptop
    Uninstall the NI-DAQ software
Follow the normal installation instructions (the most important step to remember for Plug-n-Play Operating Systems is to install the software first)
Try the latest service packs for Win 2000 or Win XP
Try the PC Card in a different laptop
Try a different slot in the laptop. On certain laptops PC Cards have been successfully installed in the top PCMCIA slot instead of the bottom.
    2. Additional Troubleshootin
g for PC Cards that Return IRQ Conflicts
    For E-Series DAQCards:
Update to NI-DAQ 6.9.3 first and then update NI-PAL to version 1.6.1 (included exe file).
Download the attached NI-PAL (ni-cdu1610.exe), and run the installer. When receiving the error "The device is not responding to the first IRQ Level" in Measurement and Automation Explorer, try this method of upgrading NI-PAL
    3. Additional Troubleshooting Steps
Try disabling the 3COM adapter, and any other extraneous (for now) devices like any built in serial and parallel ports. The best way to do this is probably to disable them in the BIOS. If the PCMCIA card works properly then try to reconfigure disabled devices one at a time.
Make sure the latest BIOS is installed.
Check for any unusual PCMCIA drivers or other software that might interfere with the PCMCIA driver.
    I hope this helps.
