[SOLVED]eCryptfs fails with mount: mount(2) failed: No such file or d
Since some weeks back I cant seem to mount my eCryptfs stuff.
Usually I just mounted my lvmdrive and did a:
sudo mount /dev/sda1 /media/Olddrive;sudo ecryptfs-recover-private /media/Olddrive/home/.ecryptfs/user/.Private;sudo ecryptfs-recover-private /run/media/user/lvmdriveid/.ecryptfs/user/.Private
Hit y,y [password] repeat and there it was, truly bob was my uncle.
However, These days I get a:
Inserted auth tok with sig [key] into the user session keyring
mount: mount(2) failed: No such file or directory
What have changed?
*disclaimer: I might not be supersure about the exact " /media/Olddrive/home/.ecryptfs/user/.Private " as I fiddled a bit with it before I rebooted earlier today after a -Suy.

Forgot to update, in any case I managed to access my data through the old manual way.
cd /run/media/user/harddrive/.ecryptfs/user/.encryptfs
sudo ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase ./wrapped-passphrase
sudo ecryptfs-add-passphrase --fnek
Inserted auth tok with sig [aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa] into the user session keyring
Inserted auth tok with sig [bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb] into the user session keyring
sudo mount -t ecryptfs /run/media/user/harddrive/home/.ecryptfs/user/.Private /media/mountdir
Used default settings execpt for:
Enable filename encryption (y/n) [n]: y
and of course inserted [bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb] when asked:
Filename Encryption Key (FNEK) Signature [aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa]: bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

Hi i'm trying to delete my bulk mail messages but it keep telling me this message"The IMAP command “DELETE” failed with server error: DELETE failed - Mailbox is reserved " is there any way to delete of stop messages from coming into it ??
thanksSounds like the mail server thinks you are asking to delete the bulk-mail mailbox instead of some/all of the messages within it.
How are you trying to delete your bulk mail messages? That is, what are you doing, step by step, up to the error message.
What you should probably be doing is selecting the bulk mail mailbox, selecting one of more messages inside it, then hitting the "delete" key. -

Please give some solution to this.
Thanks in advanceAre you editing this job in SQL 2012? Is it wrapping your paths in \"? Like for example does the command line tab on the step look like this:
/FILE "\"D:\yourPathGoesHere.dtsx\"" /CONFIGFILE "\"D:\yourPathGoesHere.dtsConfig\"" /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E
That's the problem I had, and I resolved it by recreating the whole thing via SQL Script and getting rid of all those \" things. I think that is preventing SSIS from looking up the precompiled binaries for your Script Task. So you should edit the command
line manually:
/FILE "D:\yourPathGoesHere.dtsx" /CONFIGFILE "D:\yourPathGoesHere.dtsConfig" /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E
Please write back whether that helps you. David Dye's answer didn't help me at all. -
CLUVFY failing with 'User Equivalence check failed for...'
New 2 node RAC configuration. Oracle 10gR2, Linux RHEL 5 x64. I'm at the post hardware config, pre install clusterware stage.
Running the cluster verification utility command:
cluvfy comp sys -n node-01,node-02 -p crs -verboseReturns the following error:

ERROR:

Verification cannot proceed.
Verification of system requirement was unsuccessful on all the nodes.I've verified the following:
1) RSA keys correctly configured on both nodes and I can ssh between without a password
2) ping ip and private work correctly to and from both nodes.
3) user, group ids are identical on both systems.
I also ran cluvfy stage -post hwos -n node-01,node-02 -verbose and received the following output. This output is from node-01. node-02's is identical, except with equivalence to itself failing.

Checking node connectivity...I get the same behavior on both nodes. Not quite sure what else to check. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. No, no banners. And I followed note 300548.1 to the letter. Several times :-)
However, I believe my issue has to do with a CVUHOME/cv/admin/cvu_config.
According to the documentation:
CV_XCHK_FOR_SSH_ENABLED—If set to TRUE, it enables the X-Windows check for verifying user equivalence with ssh. By default, this entry is commented out and X-Windows check is disabledIt was not, unfortunately, disabled by default - once I set it to false, everything succeeded. I still need to figure out why XCHK itself is failing, but I think I can troll through the log to figure that out. -
Crystal 10 Reports fail with error: "Load Report Failed"
Hi,
this seems to be a mystery. A client has Crystal 10 reports run from a Visual Studio 2003 application (.NET 1.1) running fine on and old server.
Once the .NET application is installed on a new Windows 2003 server, all Crystal 10 reports fail with the error message: "Load report failed" Source: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReport.Engine.
I set the worker process in the application pool to "system admin" and all Crystal reports failed. I had thought it was a security issue. I even removed Crystal 10 and installed Crystall XI Developer Edition and all reports raised the exact same error message from CrystalDecisions.CrystalReport.Engine.
Crystal does call the stored procedure to retrieve the data but cannot load the PDF. I have used 3 different physical servers, one Win 2003 64-bit and two Win 2003 32-bit and get the same error.
Help!
ThanksHi Mak,
It seems that you are having issue with SDK's.
Post your question in Business Objects SDK Application Development ->
.NET Development - Crystal Reports Forum.
That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all SDK's queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
Thank you for your understanding,
Shweta -

A couple of months ago I stumbled upon this problem, but handfixed all entrances in Makefiles recursively, changing explicitly '/bin/sh' on '/bin/bash' (although, /bin/sh is a link on /bin/bash). Now I had do deploy archlinux on another machine and here's the problem, again.

Hi,
I think that since the mkinitcpio (0.14.0-1) update (and the regeneration of the initramfs for my kernel) the encrypt hook doesn't work anymore. (At least for me)
I have my root filesystem in a LVM, which physical volume is encrypted with luks.
Here are my hooks from /etc/mkinitcpio.conf:
HOOKS="base udev autodetect modconf block keyboard keymap encrypt lvm2 resume filesystems fsck shutdown"
Output when I let it generate the initramfs:
% mkinitcpio -p linux
==> Building image from preset: /etc/mkinitcpio.d/linux.preset: 'default'
-> -k /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img

But I am able to mount in manually within the emergency shell by executing:
$ cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda3 system
Enter passphrase for /dev/sda3:
$ lvm vgscan
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
Found volume group "vg_system" using metadata type lvm2
$ lvm vgchange -ay
3 logical volume(s) in volume group "vg_system" now active
$ exit

ok, I found a temporary workaround that seems to work for me,
I edited the file /usr/lib/initcpio/hooks/lvm2 to add this:
run_hook() {
lvm pvscan --cache --activate ay
Now, this will activate all lvm volumes regardless of lvm.conf, but it suits my needs for now.
This solution didn't work for me.
On boot time I was not asked to enter a password for the encrypted partition.
That's the reason I thought it was the encryption hook. -
I tried to update my IPAD to IOS6 and it failed following this recover mode will not wortk either. I have reset multiple times and tried recovery again only to get the same error stating that recovery failed. The error states unknown recovery error. My system OS is up to date with OS X 10.7.5. Itunes is up to date with 10.7 (21).
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- The Additional Information paragraph of
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -
On start up lightroom 4 fails with this message "Assertion failed" anyone have a solution?
Thanks
After talking to Adobe support, they say that because LR4 has so many new features the catalog update doesn't always operate correctly!
Nice one adobe, provide an update path that "doesn't always work"!!!
The only way around it is to create a new catalog and import all the pictures from the failing catalog. In the process losing all published services! Not ideal but I'll have to live with it.
Surely the "assertion failed" message could write out to a log stating exactly what caused the fault. In the apple console all you get is
"31/05/2012 13:49:23.006 Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4: Oops! An untagged string (assertion failed!) got thrown far enough that we display it to the user. This shouldn't happen."
Come on Adobe this is poor!!! -
I have not used itunes for a year or so. Every time I turn on my Windows 7 x64 desktop, the update fails.
This time I tried to update and got the failure code 2324. I then decided to just uninstall and start over. The uninstaller gives me the same error code. When I try to run the old version of itunes that worked for quite some time I get an error stating the program is not compatible with my operating system.
I am stuck and I cannot call support during normal business hours because I work for a living and won't be in front of my home desktop.Try to unistall it clean using that microfoft utility
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/
make sure to get rid of all apple stuff using that program, one by one.
Then download installer again, but before disable all firewalls and antivirus.
and install.
Sorry, right after response found that thread:

I have tried running a manual update but I still receive the same error "Update Failed : The update could not be installed. All aspects of FF appear to be working normally.
Some users have reported problems with AVG. Disable it for now.

Have tried to install Acrobat XI at least 6-8 times. Always get the message "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." This, combined with the incredibly high price, is why I get frustrated with Adobe products.
Any help to get this software installed and running ASAP is greatly appreciated.if the uninstaller has been installed, run it. then run the cleaner, http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
then restart your computer and retry installing.
if that fails, attach a screenshot of the error message. -
SQL Server Agent job between 2 instances fails with Error 18456 - Login Failed for user
Hi,
SQL Server version: 2012 EE
OS: Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise
In my server, i have 2 instances, and I am trying to configure a SQL Server Agent job to query one table in Instance A, and insert some modified data in Instance B, both in the same server.
When i execute the job in instance A, i get the following error:
Executed as user: NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT. Login Failed for user "NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT". [SQLSTATE 28000] (Error 18456). The step failed.
I have already configure instance A as Master and disabled encryption, by changing the parameter MsxEncryptChannelOptions to 0 in regedit. I've also made my target instance (instance B) as a Target.
What am i missing?
Thanks for your attention and pacienceHello,
The NT SERVICE\SQLSERVERAGENT (virtual) account is not available on the other as you just mentioned. That is the reason for the login
failed error. Try using a Windows login as the
SQL Server Agent service account in both servers, the same Windows login (not a virtual account), and run jobs as the “sa” account.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345578.aspx
You can also try a proxy account.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms190698(v=SQL.105).aspx
Hope this helps.

LoadLibrary fails with error code 5 after cloning project files and cws to another directory.
I have a project that communicates to an instrument over a USB UART. The telemetry packets from the instrument are defined in DLL's which the main application loads using LoadLibrary with a relative path input. The plugin DLL's are two directories below the application executable All has been working fine for months untill I needed to clone the project (using Hg). The cloned project will no longer load the DLL's. The DLL's are not corrupted as I can hard code their paths in my original project to them and load them just fine. The cloned project finds the files (using GetFirstFile), so I know that the path string is corect, but is unable to load the DLL's using LoadLibrary. The returned error code is 5. Has anybody seen similar behavior when trying to copy or clone a project?
Thanks for any help you can give!
Solved!
Go to Solution. When moving or copying projects from one location to another I simply copy the entire folder+subfolders and never had problems: CVI warns that paths need to be fixed al corrects everything by itself. Nevertheless, error 5 should be "Access denied" so you could check properties and security of the cloned files in order to guarantee that your code can access them properly.
Alternatively, couldn't you place the DLLs in some of the standard search-paths? This will avoid problems in cases like yours.
Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.
