[SOLVED]iwlwifi chaos, fail to flush all queues

Having this weird problem of iwlwifi crashing, mostly happens after waking up from sleep mode or when the battery reaches 50%.
It is so random but it starts with, 'Error sending _CMD, time out after 2000ms'.
Immediately after, it tells you, 'fail to flush all tx fifo queues'
Goes on, until you see, 'Restarting adapter queue is full'.
Systemd is configured to reload iwlwifi after suspend.
Tried on/off for pcie_aspm, iwlwifi options like wd_disable, 11n_disable but ran out of any other ideas.
Did anyone else notice anything same with Intel's wireless drivers?

I had a similar problem with my: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1030 [Rainbow Peak] (rev 34) wireless card in a Dell vostro v131.
A lot of : "fail to flush all tx fifo queues" and connect/disconnect from my router,
I tried a lot of different solutions with the driver options. One looks to work for me.
options iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0
(in a /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf)
No need to disable 802.11n, it's stable... i'm able to watch a movie streaming (via pulseaudia) to a ΅sound machine" without problem.
Cheers

  • [solved] "failed command: WRITE FPDMA QUEUED" ATA errors

    Hi!
Edit: Thinking about it, this could quite well be the famous "5184 hours" bug on micron SSDs. The 3624 seconds until failure basically scream for it being that issue. I'll do a firmware update after I have performed a backup and see if that helps.
Since shortly (I do not remember it to be linked to a kernel upgrade) I keep getting these error messages after a while, with the system freezing and usually not recovering:

The computer is a thinkpad T410i, with this ATA controller:
    » lspci |grep ATA
00:1f.2 SATA controller: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset 6 port SATA AHCI Controller (rev 06)
    and this hard drive:
    # smartctl -a /dev/sda |grep Model
    Model Family: Crucial/Micron RealSSD m4/C400
    Device Model: M4-CT128M4SSD2
Google and the error message suggest this is related to errors in the communication between the SATA controller and the hard drive. Usually things like "try another SATA cable" or "try a better power supply" are suggested, so I tried removing and re-inserting the drive into the slot; that didn't help though. What could I do now? I guess swapping the SATA cable or trying a better power supply is out of question
The disk itself seems fine to me, here's the SMART report:

  • Flush Event Queue doesn't work with "Key up"

    Hi,
probably just a simple thing I am missing here. See the attached VI (including SubVI). In case 1 I fetch the Key Up event for ENTER and issue a Value Change on the Stop Button. This results in a check for the string length and in case it is too short brings up a dialog telling you the ID string is too short and brings you back to the ID entry. Unfortunately - when confirming the dialog with ENTER instead of using the mouse on the button theKey Up event fired again and therefore fetched by the Event Structure.
So I thought I just flush all events in the queue. To be sure, I put a time value on the flush function which proceeds AFTER the dialog is completed, so the ENTER Key Up should be deleted as well. Bummer is - it doesn't work. Anyone know why?
I tried as well with the dynamic event, which I unregistered right after the Stop Event is issued in the Key Up case. I then "re"register for the Key Up event at the same time/position as the flush event queue function is positioned now in the VI below. Still no joy.
What is my mistake? Thanks a lot.

    I don't understand 2 things:
    a) Why is the Key up event even fired? It doesn't come from the VI where the event structure resides and to which "Instance" the event is bound (VI->Key up), but from the dialog box (which is a different VI). Unless a calling VI inherits all events from its SubVIs or something like that.
    b) Why isn't the event fired by the button in the dialog box discarded as the flush event queue function is supposed to perform?
Because you are slow.  Not you personally.  But compared to the computer, you just don't stand a chance.  So you hit the Enter button on the dialog.  That dialog's OK button activates on the key down.  So the dialog is long gone by the time you manage to get your finger off of the Enter key.  In fact, you loop should be back around to be waiting for an event first.  So it is waiting for an event when you finally get your finger off of the button.  Hey, we have a Key Up event!
Your current checking for the validity of the id is just flat out annoying.  Use the Key Down? event to check for a valid character being entered.  Notice the '?' in my choice of event there?  That means it is a filter event.  This means you can throw away (discard) the character being pressed before the control even sees it.  You could also discard if there are already enough characters (Greater Or Equal, not Equal).

  • BI Publisher fail to burst all records

    Hi,
BIEE 11g (11.1.3) and BIP 11.1.1 (embedded into BIEE)
I am using Oracle BI Publisher together with BIEE's Answers. I would like to use the bursting features in BIP. However, after I successfully bursted the reports I find that it fails to burst all the entire records. I then rechecked the exported xml records and know that it burst only a maximum 500 records. I was then retrace my BI Answers dataset and find out that only 500 xml records could be exported after i exported my data to xml file and have a look.
    Questions as followed
    1) Is it an BI Answer or a BIP problem
    2) How can I solve the problem because I have some 10000+ records. And I suppose that the bursting feature is powerful enough to burst all of them
    3) I am running a Linux platform. Is there a way to tune some of the files or (whatever) so that i can burst all records

    Try this Raymond
    Edit this file:
    BIEE_HOME\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIJavaHostComponent\coreapplication_obijh1\config.xml
    and look for:
    <XMLP>
    <InputStreamLimitInKB>8192</InputStreamLimitInKB>
    Change it to Zero:
    <XMLP>
    <InputStreamLimitInKB>0</InputStreamLimitInKB>
    References:
    <XMLP>
    <InputStreamLimitInKB>
Specifies the maximum input size for Oracle BI Publisher requests. A value of zero deactivates this limit.
    Default: 8192

  • 11g upgrade script gen_inst.sql fails to export all users

I'm trying to upgrade a database from 10g XE to 11g XE; however, the upgrade script gen_inst.sql that's included with the installation media fails to include all of the database users in the sql file it generates. Out of 33 users, only 3 are included in the ws.sql file that is created. I can't seem to find any difference between the users that are included and those that are missed, all have the same roles and default tablespaces, but I'm new to Oracle XE so I might be missing something. Does anyone know why the script might miss certain users?

The homepage says its Application Express 2.1.0.00.39.
If I'm understanding this correctly there should still be more than 3 schema owners, for example when I run the query "select distinct owner from dba_tables" I see the rest of the users that I was expecting.
When I imported the data onto the 11g server (using impdp) I can see in the logs that it's importing the other schemas (e.g. imported "MP_DOC"."TEXT" ... in this case MP_DOC does not show up in the list of workspaces or users after running the install.sql script, but MP_DOUG does, and from what I can see they both should be there).
My apologies if I'm not being clear or understanding this right.

  • %HA_EM-3-LOG: NAC-RADIUS-FAIL-OPEN-DEAD: All RADIUS servers are dead changing the nac-enforcement ACL to permit all

We just implemented ISE 802.1x in couple of our  Cisco 4507 switches  and we are seeing the following error in the log.
%HA_EM-3-LOG: NAC-RADIUS-FAIL-OPEN-DEAD: All RADIUS servers are dead changing the nac-enforcement ACL to permit all
I paste it in the Cisco error message decoder and came back with not found.
    Thanks...

    Jimmy,
Srory for the late reply but it turned out to be we needed to add the missing auth data vlan command on the switch. After that the error went away.
Thanks for you input I do appreciate it.

  • How to flush Delta queue for future SAP upgrades/support pack !

    Guys,
I'm making documentation regards to " How to flush Delta Queues" in case SAP wanted to upgrade the system or any support pack. Please anyone let me know the effective way to flush out the delta queue in step by step methods. I really appreciate your help.

    1.  Run V3 for associated application(s), this will load any potential delta data to the delta queues.
    2.  Run the delta load for each datasource twice.  The second load will clear the delta repeat data so that there should not be any more data in the delta queues defined with the format of the current datasources.
    Does this help?
