[Solved]Mutt compile and flag error

I had a working setup and decided to patch it with the sidebar patch. The compilation screwed up the flags for some reason and when launching mutt I get this error:
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 7: imap_user: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 8: imap_pass: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 9: smtp_url: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 42: imap_passive: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 43: imap_keepalive: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 71: ssl_force_tls: unknown variable
Error in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc, line 72: ssl_starttls: unknown variable
source: errors in /home/hiro/.mutt/muttrc
Press any key to continue...
I reinstalled mutt being unable to determine the problem. The problem persists.
The article here describes the same issue and identifies it as the install failing to activate the compile options. The solution presented is to change the flag options before compiling but this person is on Gentoo and I don't see why $ pacman -S mutt won't suffice.
As expected $ mutt -v reads:

patch-1.5.21.sidebar.20130219.txt
So options like IMAP aren't activated for some reason even after pulling the mutt package from the official repositories. The sidebar patch is listed above so that is fishy. I don't know how to unpatch and I am thinking that may be the next step to try if I can figure that out.
I also have a full system backup so another route may be to replace the necessary directories and files with the backups. Any ideas? I appreciate the support.

The patch from the AUR did not yield any result so I followed the wiki entry on mutt to the patch provided on Lunar Linux. I had removed the directory with the patched compilation before discovering this error. Like the previous patch from the AUR I could not get it to work so I went about reinstalling mutt and ran into this problem.
Perhaps I should just hack it by ingnoring the patch and having a custom command point to the vanilla repository install. As of now $ mutt  still brings up the patch version of mutt but I can't find where it is and how to remove it.
Much appreciated on the recommendation of uber-mutt. So in ,/configure case how does one normally go about removing such an install? I can not locate any mutt or patch name on my system by the name of sidebar.

  • Apple, please solve the -50 and 1418 error issue

    Dear Apple,
    I have read during hours this forum and also posting my own experiences. Does anyone have a solution to these -50 and 1418 errors? Apple has exchanged my 2G Shuffle twice already, but no solution. I strongly suspect it to be an iTunes software issue or incompatibility, since the Shuffle is being recognized perfectly under Windows XP explorer and I can copy and read any files from the computer to the shuffle and vice versa. But as soon as I start iTunes, the Shuffle disappears in the Windows explorer, is being recognized in iTunes but then it stops: error -50, "The disk cannot be written to or read from", error 1418 when trying to restore, no music synching and no restoring possible.

  • [SOLVED] cross compiling libopenfst makepkg error

    Hello there,
    I am trying to cross compile openfst on my 64 bit arch setup since it is taking too long on my raspberry pi (which also happily runs arch). I thought I would be ok with the following makepkg to get me a binary package which I could transfer to my pi and then install with pacman-U:
    # Maintainer: Christoph Drexler <chrdr at gmx dot at>
    pkgname=openfst
    pkgver=1.4.1
    pkgrel=1

    arch=('i686' 'x86_64' 'armv6h')

    md5sums=('ca8f1730b9b9b281e515611fa9ae23c0')
    build() {
    cd ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}
    #export CXX=arm-linux-gnueabi-g++
    #export CC=arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc

    make
    package() {

    the error being that the C++ compiler cannot create excecutables makes sense since they are not meant to be excecuted on x86_64 but for armv6h (cross compilation). I have checked with arm-linux-gnueabi-g++ and its excecutables I can run on my pi so this should be ok. I am guessing that I am either missing an option to disable the compiler check, or I should change the configure script and remove this check, but I cannot figure out how to do either...
    //edit: I'm not sure this topic is in the right place btw, maybe it should be in scripting...

    that seems to do the trick, I'm not gonna test it since my pi just finished compiling it locally (which took 12+hours or so), but the compile seems to work since they are not excecutable on 64 bit, so pkgbuild for raspi cross compilation using makepkg -s:

    I tried your compilation from abs on my system and got your same build failure.  I always build with the "--log" option to makepkg and in a case like this open the build log file and search for the error.  There are lots of warnings about things like "unused parameter" "ignoring return value" and such.  Find the first error.  In your case I searched for the word "error" and came to a line with "error: ‘make_pair’ was not declared in this scope".
    So enter that error into a google search (krusader error: ‘make_pair’ was not declared in this scope) and near the top of the list is a link to an Archlinux bug report page for the krusader package, https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/29429
    There you find a Comment by Karol (Kudlaty) - Tuesday, 17 April 2012, 16:00 GMT
    ok, compiling error fixed by changing:
    make_pair => std::make_pair
    There's your fix
    The file with the error, from the build log, was src/krusader-2.4.0-beta1/krusader/UserAction/tstring.h (of course open that file and see where make_pair is used).  The two invocations of make_pair need to become std::make_pair, so the fixed build function in our PKGBUILD becomes
    build() {
    cd "${srcdir}"
    sed -i 's/make_pair/std::make_pair/' krusader-2.4.0-beta1/krusader/UserAction/tstring.h
    mkdir build
    cd build
    cmake ../${pkgname}-${_pkgver} \
    -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release \
    -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr
    make
    With the addition of that one sed line to the pkgbuild the krusader package now builds ok.  Always run namcap on your built package: in this case namcap tells us that we got all of the dependencies right and the package looks ok.

    Hi
    I have developed some J2EE application and deployed it in a NetWeaver 2004s, some problems has occurred when I try to run this application.
    Where can I see the errors stacktrace for J2EE applications ? Is there any log ? I have already checked the std_server0.out and I didn´t find it there.
    By the way.. my SAP NetWeaver Application Developer is not validating the JSP syntax after I save the JSPs.

    Hello Michel,
    The exceptions will appear in ./j2ee/cluster/server0/log/defaultTrace.<#>.trc provided that the application is written to use the SAP logging API.

    Yshemi,
    You do not have to explicitly point the server to a compiler. Its already in
    the IDE classpath. Can you provide more information on the steps you
    followed.
    You had stated that you had created a new workshop domain. Is this the
    domain in which your are creating the new application ?
    You can choose the server when you create the application or by editing the
    application properties.
    Can you verify this ?
    Can you test the built in sample to check if it works fine ?
    What is the operating system that you are working on ?
    Can you try by creating a new empty application, and an ejb project and let
    me know the results ?

    Hi Guys,
    I have created a workshop domain with the configuration wizard.
    I am trying to build a simple EJB - stateless session, has one method
    that returns a string.
    when I try to build I get the following :
    "ERROR: ERROR: Error from ejbc: Compiler failed executable.exec
    ERROR: ERROR: ejbc couldn't invoke compiler
    BUILD FAILED
    ERROR: ERROR: Error from ejbc: Compiler failed executable.exec
    ERROR: ERROR: ejbc couldn't invoke compiler
    Application Build had errors."
    It seems like Workshop can't find the compiler.
    I added "c:\bea81\jdk141_03\bin" to the application properties under
    "server classpath additions" and still get the same error.
    Does anyone know how I can point workshop to the compiler ?
    Thanks
    yshemi

  • Compiling producing inconsistent SWF and causes errors with embedded PNGs/GIFs

    I'm not sure if this question is better asked in this forum than here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4685405
    In short, whenever I compile and run my Flex project, sometimes the SWF throws the following error or similar:
    Error:
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable ItemDetails__embed_mxml_assets_printer_gif_1274103970 is not defined.
              at ItemDetails()
              at mx.managers::PopUpManagerImpl/createPopUp()
              at mx.managers::PopUpManager$/createPopUp()
              at MyProject/btnPrintClick()
              at MyProject/__btnPrint
    I thought is was related to the image but it's not and rather simply recompiling may cause it to work the next time. It seems sometimes images are left out and other times included. The error only shows for icons in my popup window and not the main app. I'm converted my Flex 3 app to Flex 4, so it uses the legacy MX tags. I compile to 4.5.1a. I'm using FB 4.6 on Mac OS.
    The closest I've found to an explanation is this: http://kachurovskiy.com/2010/storing-icons-in-external-zip-and-seamless-work-with-composit e-icons/
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

  • Error in compiling and running a packaged application

    The dll I'm wrapping is C++ VC++ compiled.
    Would like to know what I do to trouble-shoot this error and hope to fix it?
    Jim

    Using Java print statement was able to show that the my JNI dll was being loaded and that the problem was in the first call to one of my JNI functions. Then by using "DebugBreak()" in that function and gradually moving it down line by line through the function was able to isolate the line causing the problem. Unfortunately it is the line where I call a function from the dll I'm wrapping. See newer thread.

    Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!
    Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.
    When a solution is found please mark the post that solves your issue.

  • I get this error message quite frequently:: (TypeError: attempt to run compile-and-go script on a cleared scope) what does it mean and how do I stop it?

    I get this error message quite frequently:: (TypeError: attempt to run compile-and-go script on a cleared scope) what does it mean and how do I stop it? It doesn't happen always but it is often.

    Ever since the 6.0.2 update - every single day there's been something new going horribly wrong. For the past couples weeks it has been the browser hanging or crashing for no apparent reason and now this error hitting the browser screen over and over a hundred times a minute. I've used firefox since it began and NEVER had any issues previously. This 6.0 upgrade is a downgrade and is making me seriously look at Chrome (never IE - why I switched to firefox), though making the switch will be a pain due to all the apps I rely on and thousands of bookmarks that would need to be transported. Please mozilla fix this because using this browser has suddenly gone from seamless to frustrating pretty much overnight!

    Such a useful shortcut but it seems very sporadic in the way that it works since the update to CS6. Sometimes it hides the app and sometimes it just does nothing. Used to work fine.
