[SOLVED] Naming terminator tabs by the command currently running

I want terminal tabs to each have names of a command that is currently being run in each one. If a tab is "idle" (no command running) the tab name I want is $PWD.
I found a way to name it $PWD, yet I have no ideo how to set it in case a command is running. Terminator (by default) is set to represent itself to system as xterm.
I always have atleast 3 tabs open, and I just want to avoid the confusion.

bit of a hack, but the make command doesn't seem to work for tabs in terminal. replace what's currently in the 'try' block with this code:

What is the command to run Jdeveloper 12 in Linux?

After installing JD12 in Fedora Linux with KDE there are no new menu items that I could use to start the program.
There don't seem to be programs that start with 'jd' in the path either.
How can I run JD that I just installed?

I want to set password security on a pdf from the command line

I have a pdf file that is created and placed on a report server. I would like to run a batch cmd to set the security for that pdf based on a saved security policy. I will call the batch cmd file from a batch application. Can Acrobat XI handle this operation or do I need a third party tool. The pdf is created by BI Publisher (Peoplesoft).

You need to invoke your cmd manually, don't you? So, instead of opening the Terminal application, enter the command and press "Enter" you open Acrobat and click a button. It's a different manual step to start the process, but you need a manual step to start the process anyway. I do realize that you may have a bash/perl/python script that does more than just apply encryption but that's the capability that Acrobat has.
Regretfully, Acrobat JavaScript API does not provide functionality to encrypt with password. You can use JS to encrypt with certificates but [for unknown to me reason] not with passwords. Otherwise it could've written a JS script that encrypts, embed this JS in a separate PDF, open that PDF from a command line with your JS script executing on Open and have this LS script do all the work you need. Well, you can do that for certificate encryption but not for password encryption. I don't know why. And you cannot invoke an action from a JS either. Oh, well...

I have stored .java files in c:\ejb
I have successfully created the .class files using javac command in the following directory :
c:\ejb
I have also created Helloworld.ear file in c:\ejb using sun application server which contains the following files:

sun-application.xml
Manifest.mf
But the problem is that i'm not able to run the HelloWorld.class file successfully from the command prompt. So please suggest me the comand.

You can run this code from the command prompt in the same way as you run any other simple java program. The only thing is you need to set the Home and Local interfaces in the classpath.And obviously if u had deployed the bean in ur app server container, then its all over.
And one more thing is that u need to set the provider URL in the InitialContext created in the client program.

How to get the current running activity , suspend it and then restart it?

i'm new in the Bpel world so please try to help me ...
So my question is how, while a bpel process is running, can i get the activity currently running...and if there is a problem while the execution i can get where exactly did the process stopped and i could restart it?

[SOLVED] xfce4-terminal doesn't tab-autocomplete with sudo commands

Wondering if this is a limitation of xfce4-terminal or something that can be enabled.
In xfce4-terminal, if I type pac and press tab key, it autocompletes to pacman. If I type sudo pac and press tab, it won't autocomplete. The same is true when trying to complete anything after starting with sudo as the first word of the command. Paths resolve fine though after sudo, just not program names or commands.
Fixable?

I went for the option to add it in my ~/.bashrc file instead of installing the bash-completion package. Rebooted and it works!

To the affect that this website is being updated. Your items in your cart will be in your cart.
Then the website's screen kicked me out the door.
A few days later I accessed the main page of this website with no problem.
I can read the information on the main web page pertaining to items I need to purchase, etc., with no problems.
I click and maneuver from on one tab to another from the main page within this website with no issues.
When I click on the "SHOP section(tab)" within this website to complete my purchase.
Part of this website an error occurs on this "SHOP tab".
"Safari can't connect to the server".
Safari can't open the page "https://and the name of this website" because Safari can't connect to the server "www.the name of this website".
I click on the reload from the view of the toolbar and I can't access this website's "Shop section(tab) at all.
I e-mailed the webmaster of this website a few times, but no response.
In the past I was able to access the "Shop section(tab") within this website many times to purchase items with no issues.
Now I am at my wits end as I really need to complete my purchase from this website.
I cannot purchase these items from other websites. Only this website. Good Grief( :

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and only cookies from websites that cause problems.

How to open a terminal window in a path currently visible in the Finder?

I often need to open a terminal window with the current visible folder (a long, deep path) as the working directory.
In Windows I used to have the little "Open command window here..." hack available in the context menu in Explorer.
How can I achieve the same on OS X to avoid tediously typing the path?

open a finder window and navigate to one-level above
this visible folder.
open a terminal window.
drag the folder of interest from the finder window
into the terminal window. now you see the whole path
to that folder has been typed out for you....
so, if you wanted to 'cd' into that folder in
terminal, you'd type cd, then a space, into the
terminal window, then drag that folder in there from
the finder, then hit return.... viola!
If the folder you want is already open, you can drag the icon at the top of the Finder window. You don't have to go one level up.

It appears that you may not have a properly installed OS X system.
You must be connected to the Internet to reinstall OS X.
In the menu bar, choose Apple menu > Restart. Once your Mac restarts (and the gray screen appears), hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
Select “Disk Utility,” and then click Continue.
Select your startup disk from the list on the left, and then Repair Disk.
After disk is repaired, select Reinstall OS X, then click Continue.
Follow the onscreen instructions. In the pane where you select a disk, select your current OS X disk

Reversing the Make Current Values Default command

Hi,
I was working with a labview program this evening and had been using the 'Reinitialize all to default' command under the operate menu to clear all of the waveforms on my screen. However, I accidentally chose the 'Make current values default' command and cannot erase what shows up in the waveforms. I am sure there is a simple fix to my problem but I couldn't figure it out. I tried rewiring parts of my block diagram do exclude the waveform graphs with the hope that the waveforms would go away but realized that the graphs weren't wired so nothing was going to change. Any help would be appreciated.

There are a few simpler ways than closing and reopening the VI.
If you realized the mistake right (or soon) after you did it, a ctrl+z will undo the operation and you have your old defaults back.
If you are past that stage, a simple "menu...file...revert" will revert the VI to the last saved version. No need to exit and reload.
If you accidentally saved it with the new defaults, "right-click the graph...data operations...clear graph", make default, save VI again.

When executing the command: "sudo make install" the terminal just hangs

I'm following along with this tutorial: http://maxpowerindustries.com/2009/09/27/how-to-install-and-configure-squid-on-m ac-os-x/ and I'm on Step 7: Install squid with the following command: sudo make install . After the command executes the terminal just hangs and doesn't return to normal. Any ideas what Im doing wrong?

I would not be looking at 2009 instructions knowing that current build instructions, release notes, and other information were present, either online, or within the source distribution. In the preceding hyperlink, you will note that build instructions for OS X (any version) are simply omitted. Dependencies are discussed, such as needing the automake tools.
I would take a closer look at current build requirements (including arguments to ./configure), and build log — as an underlying reason why install hangs in your terminal.

How can I update an already saved "bookmark all tabs" group with a current group of tabs? Or add only the changes??

Example of problem:
I have already saved a group of tabs using the "bookmark all tabs" feature.
I open that group of tabs in a new browser window.
Then I modify that group of tabs that I have open, adding new ones, removing old ones.
How can I replace the existing tab group with the new tabs?
Is there an option to just add the new ones that I have opened and keep all the others even if I have removed some of the old ones from the currently opened group?

You can't do that.<br />
Each time you use "Bookmark All Tabs" a new folder is created, even if you give the folder the same name, so you will have to do any merging yourself in the Bookmarks Manager or just create a new group and discard (delete) the previous group.
If you want to share bookmarks online then you need to use a web based service that offers such a feature like Delicious.
