[solved] tracker error initializing libicu support

Hey,
tracker-search from the command line gives me no results and then:
(tracker-search:28193): Tracker-WARNING **: Error initializing libicu support: 'U_ILLEGAL_ARGUMENT_ERROR'
this is on my 64bit Arch Desktop. My 32bit Arch Netbook doesn't have this problem.
Edit: creating a new user on my desktop machine works as well
I really want to use the gnome-shell tracker search extension and I expect that it's not working because of that error
Edit2: Ok maybe interesting for some to now: the Problem was somehow in my region setting. I had English Language, but German format enabled. Because of that
I had no AM/PM behind my clock and this broke tracker somehow. After setting it to United States, everything works.

I had the same problem:
After not only changing Language to Deutsch but also "Formate" (english translation data formats?) to Deutschland with gnome-control-center, logging out/in again and rebuilding the tracker database my desktop search now works fine.
This program needs a new name, tracker is so hard to .. track

Hacked iPhones are subject to countermeasures by Apple, particularly when updating the firmware. It is likely permanently re-locked or permanently disabled.

What app are you trying to download? Is it iPhoto for iOS? What error message are you receiving? The first thing I would suggest is to log out of your iTunes Store account on your iPhone. Then restart the device and log in again.

I know this is a bit late but I came accross this thread trying to resolve this same problem and came up with a solution that worked for me, so thought I would share it here too. I hope it helps someone else.
I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:

The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:

After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:

This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:

The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).
I opened the registry and (as instructed in the MSKB article) deleted the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\
PendingXmlIdentifier
NextQueueEntryIndex
AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
Reboot and reinstall iTunes.

3D Motion Tracking Error/Crash in progress [Urgent Help Please!]

I'm an video editor and I use 3D Motion Tracking a lot but recently every time I use it, it comes up with an error and says crash in progress,
It never used to do it and I can't seem to find any solutions to fix it.
Computer Specs:
Manufacturer: Toshiba
Model: Notebook
Processor: AMD E1-2100 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics 1.00 GHz
Installed Memory: 4.00 GB (3.45 GB Usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
So here's how I get to the problem. (I'll try provide as much detail as possible)
I import a mp4/avi file into After Effects,
Create a new composition with:
1280 x 720 (16:9)
Frame Rate = 30
Duration = 30 seconds
Resolution = Third
Advanced
Renderer = Classic 3D
(Boxes Underneath all unchecked)
Options:
Shadow Map Resolution = Comp Size
Motion Blur:
Shutter Angle = 180 Degrees
Shutter Phrase = -90 Degrees
Samples Per Frame = 16
Adaptive Sample Limit = 128
   3. Drag the mp4/avi into the composition to use it. (1.21 Seconds Long)
   4. Right click on it and go to Effect > Perspective > 3D Camera Tracker
   5. The 3D Camera Tracker initializes with these settings:
Shot type = Fixed Angle of View
Show Track Points = 3D Solved
Track Point Size = 100.0%
Target Size = 100.0%
   6.   Loads Frames 0% > 100% then as soon as the orange line shows up with Solving camera it shows this,
   and when I click okay it shows this,
   and then finally this,
   and then it crashes. that's the same process every time and it still comes up with this.

Try rendering an image sequence from your original footage then load that into AE and Camera Track the image sequence. Use the AME to or AE to render a JPEG or PNG image sequence:
It's important to know that some footage cannot be Camera Tracked. In order for camera tracking to work there must be a significant amount of fixed geometry in the scene. For example, if you have a shot of open water like this it cannot be Camera Tracked:
This shot also cannot be camera tracked successfully because most of the frame is moving:
If transcoding or converting the shot to an image sequence does not fix the problem and you don't get a frame rate mis match warning then you could have possibly not given enough memory to other applications in you memory and multi processor settings. Keep memory allocation for other apps in even numbers and make sure that you have not starved the dynamic link server that does camera tracking. If you have the memory 4GB to other apps is absolutely the minimum. If you only have 4GB then give 2 to AE and 2 to other apps.

bootstrap.js script error during eval(). Everytime I open Adobe Acrobat 6.0 I recieve this error message once it loads up. I also recieve another error messeage while it is in the process of loading "There was an error while loading the plug-in "SaveAsXML.api.' This file was not found. I am wondering if this is why I cannot convert a file to PDF from word when I go to convert from file from adobe acrobat 6.0. It is vital to my business that I convert these files from Word. Even when I try to go to Adobe Distiller the error message "Error initializing JDF library" pops up and will not allow me to convert my file to PDF

I solved the problem (even if I really don't know how) :-/
What I did :
1. remove all the environnement variables for ORACLE : ORASID, ORACLE_SID, ORAHOME, ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_BASE...
(I don't know why I have so many variables...)
2. I remove any varible of LANG (NLS_LANG, ORA_LANG...)
3. I checked the rpm (it seems that some of the library where missing, for example libXtst.so.6)
By the way, I installed the patch 6078836. Unzip the patch, it will create the library libdb.so.2. Move this file to /usr/lib
4. I uninstall first the agent and the oms, then the database.
5. I reinstalled everything and run the ConfigureGC.pl script. I had to go through the bug 7483221 (the script failed twice because of invalid login/password, ORA-01017). The procedure is described on several sites, I used this one :

I have been signing in fine forever. Just got this message today. Have gotten it all day. I am using Google Chrome. I said, let me try signing in through Internet Explorer......guess what! I work with adobe cs5. Recently, it started to not work. I would have to restart it over and over to get it to compile an swf properly. So I am trying cs5.5. I get this error "Error initializing Java Runtime Environment. You may need to reinstall Flash."

This is the fix the bug in Flash tell you all the time that
Java could not be loaded. The effect of this error is that
Actionscript will not work.
Flash gives a little misleading error messages that tells you that
"There is no Actionscript in the current Project"
background information:
The problem is that the Java Virtual Machine.dll demands on startup
250MB huge contiguous memory blocks, but the 2GB-Virtual address
space of the Flash.exe process is already filled with various loaded dll's
BEFORE you continue ensure that you install/copied JRE 1.8.0 update 31 to
%ProgramData%\Adobe\CS5\jre\
For testing check if ...Adobe\CS5\jre\bin\java.exe starts
(and shows a help about available commands)
The Patch is for 32-bit version only!
(however the problem is probably not in the 64-Bit Version - since there a process has a much large more 'space')

Use 64-Bit version of Adobe Flash !

Note the memory is not real allocated in the way it can be use since to write or read from it is just allocated as
MEM_RESERVE like you see in the screenshot above. And freed just a little alter.
It seems that java just checks if it could possible the maximal the JVM is made for.
Note the problem is not that you have to less physical RAM installed.
It's more related how memory is organise.
Well in 32 Bit each process has 4GB (or well practically Windows limits this to 2GB).

This space is virtual and not actually claimed (else you would very quickly run out of RAM) but it a kind of potential or Adress system. Na sorry that'll be to offtopic to explain all the basic's about memory.

Parser to solve XHTML errors?

I have a fairly complex problem to describe with Xerces-J 2.5.0. I'll try to make it simple.
My goal is to parse XHTML files. I parse them ok but my issues are with not compliant XHTML files such as the ones with <input ...> instead of <input .../>.
I have rebuilt the Xerces library in eclipse.
I have made a small test in a test environment, and it looks like Xerces is able to correct such xml errors. I was surprised. However, some features are failing to be set such as http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/schema/augment-psvi, http://xml.org/sax/features/external-general-entities...
But the parse process is running ok. And it solves my XHTML mistakes...
Now, when I use this Xerces jar in Tomcat (I have removed all other reference to any XML parser), the features are set correctly but the document fails to be parsed.
I simply do not understand why it is different in the command line and in tomcat. I use an explicit call to create a new org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser:
parser = new org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser();When I use a library from the binary distribution (2.4.0, 2.5.0 and 2.6.1) it fails in both cases.
Is there some Sun XML parser that is overriding my use of Xerces (like the built-in version of Xalan)?
Is there a way to know the location of the JAR files the program is using? I am pretty sure that I am using the right classpath (otherwise it fails) but who knows...
Any help / hint will be really appreciated...

There is a misunderstanding here. I am not rewriting Xerces. I just rebuilt it, but there were no special goals in rebuilding it. I want to use a standard one.
The "fun" thing is that after a simple rebuilt of Xerces, without modifying the source, it does not behave as i expect it to behave. You would say that i did not rebuild it correctly and that was also my initial thoughts.
However, the strange thing is that it behaves as expected when used in Tomcat and it does not when used in commad line.
I was thinking that another xerces was used, but it was not the case as i removed all xerces i could find and check that it fails (normal). After that, i put mine inside and it behaves as the one you can download from the binary distribution.
The issue is with the command line that still "solve XHTML errors" and i do not understand why! I also fail to set some features on this parser (when used in c.l.), this makes me think that the parser i am using in CL is not the same than the one i used within Tomcat.
I have twisted the classpath in all sorts of ways, checked the endorsed paths, etc.
My goal is to be able to parse both HTML and XHTML, so i first try to parse XHTML, if it fails, i switch to the HTML parser (i use NekoHTML). But in my CL test environment, it corrects the XHTML errors, so Neko is never used...
I was thinking of a similar problem i had with Xalan, but it does not look like it either...

Re-installing is a problem because I work in a HUGE company
with LOTS of red tape and I don't have access to the original disks
to re-install.
I can't even load my file anymore without getting the error
and once opened, I can't even do a "check script" without getting
the error. I've even tried to load earlier versions but I'm still
