Some parts of DAA.IE website e.g. Site ID and footer are fine, other parts e.g content area are blank but all are ok in IE8
Above happens on all DAA web pages and all are ok in IE8. I have not noticed it on any other websites.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I suggest you get 9.2. You need to install the same or later version of the OS. One some computer the shipped version has extra drivers. The drivers will not be in the official release in this case 9.1. They would be in 9.2.

Try holding down the option key then power on. This brings up the startup manager. Click on your hd. Click on right arrow key.
You need to figure out the level of your firmware before installing 10.2 or greater. ( The PC name for firmware is BIOS. ) Installing 10.2 with a down level firmware will most likely make your iMac unusable and difficult to fix.

i can open/ run firefox. it can be maximized or resized no problem. links on desktop will open. yet when i go to click on the search bar, or on anything the main frame is un responsive. i have reinstalled previous versions and the most resent. nothing fixes the problem. i love using firefox and tend to have little to no problems. to recap. it starts up, can be resized or close, yet nothing not even the help button can be clicked. what can i do? does this mean i need to use opera or ie to access the internet now. oh nooooo.
how i fixed this problem:
-uninstalled/ reinstalled Firefox 16.0.1 twice (problem was still there)
-uninstalled Firefox and checked off remove personal settings/ bookmarks
-used cell to download previous Firefox 15.0.1 (USB transferred .exe to desktop)
-then i cleared my %temp% + my recycle bin
-ran (one by one) AdAware + McAfee + TrendMicro Housecall virus
software
-i then purposelessly hard crashed laptop twice during boot
-ran boot recovery
-ran (one by one) disk clean up + disk defrag
-rebooted
-reinstalled Firefox 15.0.1 (aka older version) (checked and saw it worked)
-rebooted
it took 7 hours to fix (i was playing games on another console half the time). as it is all works fine, again. some bookmarks still missing (on the weekend i weekly/bi-weekly backup bookmarks). oh well atleast i can still use Firefox. i think the problem was due to a theme that 16.0.1 couldn't properly run, so it corrupted the whole program interface. geek power geek love. -

I picked tag, this document only, and body as a selector name. Changed the bckgrpund color to black, and than changed the picture as well. I clearly see the new "body" css rule that is above my Paolo css rule in the side bar, but no changes on the pages, I still got the same bckground image for all of them.

I have created a drop down menu and duplicated it in other parts of the document.
When a selection is made in a box, they all change. How can I fix it so that every drop down is independent?
The "#" indicates the number of the field with the same name. This is referred to as a "widget" and for most fields it can be a problem. Only buttons, check boxes, and radio buttons can have widgets and work independently within limits. [email protected]If everything seems to be working OK, but the amber light is blinking, this might be a signal that there is an update available for the AirPort Express.
Open AirPort Utility, click Manual Setup, then click directly on the word Status to check for messages.
If the printer is not working, I suggest that you perform a Factory Default Reset to get the Express back to new, out of box settings. Then, you can reconfigure the device again as needed.

Looking for some helpful advice for a website idea I have

For the past year, my company has had a contract for a tech device manufacturer to maintain a project benchmarking the prices, specs, user features, etc. of their products against their major competitiors. It is quite an in-depth comparison and contains more than 100 products. It is up to date with new product releases and will continue to remain current on the newest products. Anyway, the contract is almost up and I am thinking that the project could be more lucrative if I created a website with all the information I have gathered over the past year. My problem is that I have never created a website for profit. I have created a personal website and my company's website using a combination of CS5 DW, FW, and Flash. I know some html, php, mySQL, and flash, and am fairly comfortable with the CS5 software in general.
Like I mentioned, I am new to trying to make money off a website, but here are two potential ways I have though of to to do so:
1. Just throw all the information on the websites and offer access to all users for free and hope to gain advertising revenue from the manufacturers who have their products on my site.
or
2. Offer a sample of basic info on all of the products, but require a subscription for full access (maybe $199/year).
My target market will consist of the manufacturers themselves, IT professionals, and resellers of these products.
Im also wondering if I should make it Flash-based and very visually appealing or just in html.
I guess i'm just looking for an opinion on which path to choose and any advice in making this effort successful.

I'd suggest using Seth Godin (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/) as your guide/model. If the person you want to hire knows and follows Seth's good marketing advice, you'll likely do very well. If they don't know who Seth Godin is and are obsessed with SEO rankings and email blasts, I'd be very worried (that's not to say SEO rankings and email blasts are "wrong" but that they shouldn't be the only options in your marketing approach).

Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part
Hi.
I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?

In the page viewer web part,your just enter the url of the website.So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.

How are you reading e-mail? in a browser (like Safari) or with a separate mail program like Apple Mail or MS Entourage?
Entourage and Mail have 'larger/smaller" text commands. In either, typing command + or command - will zoom or shrink the text.
The same commands work in the Safari browser.
Much of this comes from people with small-screen devices sending to people with really large screens. I have a friend who asks all his contacts to use a larger font than default when they e-mail him. He has a really cantankerous Windows box that will not let him increase font size in received messages.
If you have a 27-inch iMac the huge amount of screen real estate may make a lot of text hard to read. That's what I have, and I set the desktop resolution to a smaller number to get larger text. My 27-incher defaults to 2560x1440 and everything is small to my old eyes. I changed it to 1920x1080 and lost none of the sharpness but gained a lot in font size.
If you want to try this, go to System Preferences > Displays and make sure the "Displays", not "Color" tab is active. Click the round button next to "Scaled" and you'll be offered a selection of desktop resolutions.

Firefox does not load the entire website, their are many missing parts to many websites
when I am on firefox some of the websites don't finish loading and parts are missing, for example on Wikipedia, when Im on an article the search bar is gone and I cant change the subject, I am able to fix it by refreshing the page but I almost have to do that on every page I visit

I have recently created a website for my family's business. When we bought the Macbook the guy in Apple said the best way to send an email campaign to our mailing list was to publish a hidden page, find it in the browser on Safari, then share it via email, so that is what I do. For most of my customers this works fine, however I have a number of people each month who cannot see any of the content of the email. I have added an 'If you can't see this email properly...' link at the top of the page, with no shapes or images etc near it, but even that does not appear for them.
I am a self-taught novice unfortunately, so haven't a clue what the problem is. I'm not sure of the operating system, but we bought the Macbook in May and it has all the recent updates installed. I have just had a new baby so can't get into the store fdor a one-to-one, so if anyone could explain why this happens / what I can do about it, I would be very grateful! When in ma-vitalrecords.org, I put in the county and town and then went to the names. It pulls up the last name, but the rest of the information does not show, such as the child's name, date of birth, and parents. When I am at the library or other's homes, this information shows. This is not the only website that this does this. Sometimes if I hover the arrow over where the words should be, I can see the information down in the status bar. On the above website it did not.

I have the same experience. I've been narrowing down causes, but it's NOT because you're not connected to Wifi. It seems to be intermittent. For expample, I'm connected to WIFI right now. Some messages or pix that were viewable yesterday are not viewable now and others aren't. All of the messages and their attachments are available from my laptop. If I try again later, I'll be able to see different downloads than what I can see now. What's odd is all of them worked just right a few weeks ago -
Only happens on index page of website - Firefox repeatedly says 'connecting to site/transfering data from site in the status bar for about a minute before finally 'done', then some images on the index page are missing. All other browsers are fine - how do you turn off this problem in Firefox - there is nothing to download on the index page, already displayed but can't continue unless you jump to another page in the site. Searched web and many references to this but no definate answer. Code is same on all pages of site, just the index page which hangs.
