How do I find someone else's phone with mine?

Using the app, Find My iPhone, which you can download for free from the itunes app store, you can log into another person's icloud account with their ID and password and then try to track/find the device.

  • Log out of find my iPhone on someone else's phone?

I was forced to log in on find my iphone on someone else's phone. I know the person can't track me while my location services is off but there are many times I need to use maps for directions. Is there a way to log off on their phone? (No going on there phone is not an option. This person literally showers with their phone.)
Luckily this person does not know my apple id and password.

  • Someone else's phone number is linked to my apple ID

I have someone else's phone number linked to my apple ID. Others are unable to reach me via my own phone number on FaceTime. Anyone who can help?

On your iPhone go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
In that menu you can select/deselect what emails can use iMessage on that device.  This worked....just figured it out by dialing through menus.

Well the best thing you can do is call an apple specialist tomorrow because there closed today or talk straight up to the person that is currently hacking your apple ID. You can also change your password just try to login to apple id on a computer and say forgot password and it will lead you from there. Tell your family and Friends or who you were texting that thats not you.
I really hope the hacker goes away! I also hope this answered you question But also what type of things aree they saying just to be clear

  • My name is showing up as "my info" on someone else's phone

someone else's name is showing as the owner of my phone?

Some people have been able to resolve this bug by going to System Preferences/Sharing and turning off all sharing.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Someone else's phone number showing in my "Can be reached" option ....

My phone just gave me a notification saying "Name is now using [email protected] & 1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx for Facetime and iMessage."
When I open my settings for both Facetime, and iMessage, this persons phone number appears. I don't have it check marked, as I don't want my messages and Facetimes going to her phone. The notification only advised of the change, didn't give an option to accept or decline this change.
Is there a way to remove my information from her device?
Does this mean that her messages and notifications will be coming to my phone?
** Just as background information if it helps any, I had another iPhone that I sold to this girl. It was completely reset before I gave it to her, and she has been using it for several months now. But I am just getting this notificaton now. I obviously have her number that I can message her at if I cannot have this removed myself, but I don't have to rely on someone else to remove my information. Anyone who can offer help would be greatly appreciated.

Not that I'm aware of, but it is possible. It was her first smart phone, so I breifly went through all the stuff she could do, so It's possible I may have linked it to something not realizing it.
I was on my iTunes account just now and it did show 2 devices linked with iTunes in the Clouds .. so I removed the other one, but I am going to change the password now to delink it just to be sure.

  • Someone else's phone number used to be assigned to an iPhone

I am an iPhone user and I am attempting to send text messages to someone who has an Android phone.
The messages are not being received by that person.  Apparently the receiving phone number was previously assigned to an iPhone, and my outbound message is being erroneously sent as an 'iMessage' even though the intended recipient does not have an iPhone.
This means that someone else -- whom I do not know -- is receiving these messages.
AT&T - the other person's carrier - has not been helpful so far.
The problem isn't with my phone - it's working fine - it's with the interaction between AT&T and this other person's iPhone.
How can we get this resolved?

AT&T can't do anything other than assign a new phone number to the individual with the phone. They can't disable the iMessage activation that's tied to the number.
Did this person have an iPhone, then get rid of it, or did they just get a new number that happens to have been tied to iMessage previously by someone with an iPhone? That seems unlikely...

  • Given someone else's phone number

I have signed up to BT for the first time and in my package should have:
    A phone line
    BT infinity
    BT vision
Having had the engineer turn up a day later than arranged online I have been given the wrong phone number. I had the current owner of this phone number phone me last night and I passed this mistake to BT over the phone on Tuesday. I have not had a reply to let me know that someone is looking into this for me.
I wouldn't mind, but now my BT vision is no longer working as this is linked into my phone number and not the wrong phone number that I have been given.
Has anyone else had this issue and how long did it take for BT to correct?
    Cheers
    Mathew

It should be fairly easy to fix, probably some crossed wires somewhere.

  • IPhoto only recognizing someone else's phone?

My boyfriend has used my Macbook a few times to charge his phone. Now when I plug mine in, iTunes shows that my phone is plugged in, but iPhoto seems to think my phone is my boyfriend's. None of my pictures show up, and my boyfriend's phone shows along the side of iPhoto. My pictures won't come up either. Just blank squares where my boyfriend's pictures would have been. Any idea how to get iPhoto to forget my boyfriend's phone?  When I click my boyfriend's phone in iPhoto, my only option is to "unmount" it. When I do that, it disappears, but it reappears when I plug my phone in again. Thanks in advance!

  • Every time I try to import my photos, someone else's phone pops up. Please help!

A couple of months ago I used someone's iPhone to get on the Internet with my computer. Now I am trying to import photos through iPhoto and that persons iPhone is popping up. No matter what I do I can't get his iPhone off of my iPhoto's. please help!

If you are trying to upload images from your iPhone, disconnect the cable from the USB port of the computer, then connect it.
You should see the phone re-appear in iPhoto's left column.  If it still has your friends name, and not the name of your iPhone, then quit iPhoto, and launch itunes.  You should see your iPhone listed in iTunes.  You should be able to rename the iPhone to your name, on the summary screen.
It sounds like someone changed the name of your iPhone.

  • Why does my email on I message come up on someone else's phone?

I have the iPod touch 5G and when I send A iMessage, it shows my email. I want to know how to change it so people don't get my email

Go to the Contacts app and add yourself as a contact. Make sure you add the email address that you associated with Messages. It is by default the Apple ID email address

  • How do you forward a contact's details to someone else?

My previous Nokia used to allow me to select a contact & then I cld forward it (the full contact details) to someone else's phone no. (with the press of 1 button). The iPhone 3G doesn't seem to have this basic feature that I can see (all you seem to be able to do with contacts is either edit them or add them to favourites) - I had to SMS the necessary details to someone (after I'd typed them into the SMS msg) which is quite antediluvian. Anyone have any ideas?

Clearly not, and for the most part Apple should be commended for this. Their ability to look forward, not backwards, allows them to produce uncluttered, easy to use products. But sometimes their insistence on simplicity comes at the cost of essential features - such as cut and paste or MMS (the whole purpose of cell phone cameras is to allow you to send photos to other cell phones, right?) Sometimes Apple's omission of certain key features is so glaring as to seem more like the result of a shortage of Apple programmers rather than the result of some minimalist design decision or forward thinking. I believe that the absence of certain essential "old" PDA features on the iPhone, such as the ability to easily forward contact information, is an example of this.

  • How do I replace someone else's Mac ID with my own? Bought iPhone second hand. Previous owner re-set the phone but his ICloud account stayed on now my phone. He uses his macID on his new iPhone now?? Any ideas, as this issue is blocking my access to iTune

How do I replace someone else's Mac ID with my own?
Bought iPhone second hand on TradeMe.
Previous owner re-set the phone but his ICloud account stayed on now my phone. He uses his AppleID on his new iPhone now and, understandably, does not want to give me his password. Any ideas?? Please.
This issue is blocking my access to iTunes and any other file from my home computer. It keeps on telling me that I have to autorise my computer to pass on files, yet, it seems, for all this to happen, I need to get logged in through the phone's Apple ID. This of course is different to my one on my computer - and I have no password for it.
This phone is not stolen!! I payed still a fair bit for it. Am still in contact with the previous owner. He doesn't know how to fix the problem either.
    Would appreciate any suggestion ????
    Thanks
    SamSings

    Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id.

  • After a reboot my iPhone 6 Plus now has someone else's Apple ID as the login??? I bought the phone 3 months ago brand new!

    The title says it all.
    Some background info:
    1. I purchased the iPhone 6 Plus new in the box at Target on January 10 2015.  The phone has only ever been mine, and it was not a refurbished device.
    2. Absolutely no one else has access to my PC or iTunes, whether it be physical access or knowing my usernames or passwords.
    What happened;
    1. Phone fell out of my hand face down on my patio.  It had the leather Apple case on it.  Picked it up and sure enough the entire front screen was smashed.
    2. Phone responds to touch, but not property.  I contemplate doing a backup and then resetting but I skip that and just do a "erase all content and settings"
    3. Phone reboots and prompts me for this Apple ID (x*****@1*****.com) to log in.
    4. That is NOT my Apple ID, not even close
    5. I have no idea how the strange Apple ID is now embedded in MY phone, I have absolutely no way to access my own phone!
    What I have done:
    1. Called and spoke to several Apple reps; technical, Apple care, customer service, and then finally a senior supervisor named Matt.
    2. Matt spent over an hour on the phone with me discussing this and he decided I should email him my proof of purchase directly through an Apple link that he emailed me.
    3. I scanned every document I had with the receipt, paperwork, IMEI info and sent it over. He reviewed and says he will have to put in a request to do a force unlock which will remove the strange Apple ID and allow me back in
    4. I set up an appointment at the nearest Apple Store to fix the phone. They do not know of the Apple ID issue and I was told they wouldn't be equipped to handle that anyway until the phone would be able to be unlocked.
    5. So now I have to wait for Apple to force unlock my phone before (hopefully) my appointment on Tuesday so I can get in to it and they can fix it
Now from all the people I have talked to and all the Googling I have done I have found no reference to this happening to anyone ever.  The only related incidents like mine is if someone bought the phone through another consumer or sold it online and did not wipe their ID properly.  This however doesnt apply to me since I bought it from Target, unless they sold me some second hand phone.
Any opinions or insights on what it is that has actually happened to my phone from the time it broke and rebooted to magically having someone else's Apple ID as the authentication?
I really hope someone here has some insight.
    Thank you.

The answer is very simple: You were not the original owner of the phone. Target sold you a phone that had been returned. You can verify the date of the original sale here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage. I suspect you will find that the warranty expiration date is not one year from the date that you bought it.
