Something error when modload in Solaris9/sparc9

Question

hi, I have a question.
My os is Solaris9/sparc9.
I use gcc 3.4.2 compile a simple program,my command is
#gcc -D_KERNEL -DSVR4 -DSOL2 -DDEBUG -O3 -c mymod.c
#ld -o mymod -r mymod.o
but ,when I modload mymod, there is an error, "can't load module: No such file or directory"
if I use gcc as:
#gcc -m64 -D_KERNEL -DSVR4 -DSOL2 -DDEBUG -O3 -c mymod.c
#ld -o mymod -r mymod.o
then modload is ok !!!???
I need not want the "-m64" because I want use memcpy.o in my program.
if I use "-m64", ld is not correct for memcpy.o,
(#ld -o mymod -r mymode..o memcpy.o
ld: fatal: file memcpy.o: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32)
How can i do it?

From what I know, Sun does now ship 64-bit libc archive
I need it for some time-related functionsOn the Sun website I read that newer Solaris versions (Solaris 11 ?) will require dynamically linked applications. For this reason Sun does not ship static libraries any longer. A 64 bit "libc.a" does not exist. The 32 bit version of "libc.a" is only there for compatibility with very old programs.
For functions that do not access the OS kernel (such as time-converting functions) you may use the GNU "libc" library that is used by Linux. It is open-source so it can be compiled for Sparc 64. The parts that are written in assembler exist in a lot of variants - a "sparc64" variant is also available.
