SORT functionality for list of fields

Hi all,
I dont have a table control in which I have the custom fields. The custom fields are placed in a subscreen within acustom tab in standard screen in tcode VL31N. as shown below:
Plant:
Carrier:
Bill of lading:
Packaging list:
Damage
Now below these 5 fields ,I need to display the 2 SORT buttons/icons to change the display in ASCENDING OR DESCENDING order.
How do i do this???Is there any std FM ?

I Dont think its possible dynamically, but you can have 2 normal screens which will be called to subscreen based on the user action (button 1 - First screen & Button 2 - Second screen). you can try with MODIF ID too.

  • Sorting functionality for originals checked-in through cv01n

    Hello All,
I would like to know whether there is a possiblity of sorting descriptions of multiple original files check-in to the same DIR using CV01n.

    Hi,
unfortunatly there is not such sorting functionality in CV01N or CV02N for the attached originals.
The sequence of the originals depends on the sequence in which they were added. So if you add an originals it receives a special application number (ORIGINALTYPE). According to this number the originals are sorted.
Maybe you can try to edit this 'ORIGINALTYPE' number by using BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2. First you should execute BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL2 to receive all document related information. In table 'DOCUMENTFILES' you will also find the field 'ORIGINALTYPE' and its values.
This data can then be handed over to CHANGE2 BAPI and you should be able to modify the application numbers and so the way of sorting.
After this change please use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to realise the changes also on the database.
However please note that this is just a proposal and I have no confirmation if this will work.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Calendar Functionality for a date field in HTML of  a ITS service

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi
Let me first thank you for the quick response and timely help you provided calendar popup works great but one minor issue i am not able to click on the date entry and bring the field back into the field not sure if this funcitonality is in show_calendar.
I would really appreciate if you get time to look at below i am almost there with your help......thanks again
Here are the steps I did
I have a HTML page  SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 in SRM module , I created a new HTML page (zcalendar.html) in the same internet service BBPSC01 as suggested and I included in my HTML page SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 and also I added below code to add a icon and a href call to the show_calendar function.
Code works great I get the popup but when I double click on the date it is not selecting the date into the field back .
    Any thoughts??????

  • Problem with Save functionality for a Screen - Field

    Hi Experts,
I  have included a custom field with list box option to an infotype. The new filed  displays the values based on the values selected in the standard field which has a list box option.
Now if we enter the transaction in change mode and change the standard field value without pressing ENTER and click SAVE button, it gets saved with an improper value in the custom field. The reason being the custom field values with drop down list is retreived only after we press enter (POV is triggered) after selecting a standard field.
    Options tried:
I have included an error message (in PAI)  to stop the values being saved, but the screen beomes disabled.
I have done my validation only on the custom field as there is no other possibility to validate any other fields on the screen (all are standard). Here the error message pops up and the field is in the enable mode, but it does not retrieve the possible values for the custom field based on my earlier selection for the standard field.( Because as POV does not get triggered in this case)
Ex.  Std field value = USA
Custom field   =  United States of America
I changed the value in Standard field to = UK and click SAVE - It get saved
Now how to stop it from SAVING and let it know that there is an error in the custom field and it needs to select the right value from the list ie - United Kingdom.
    Lakshmi

Perhaps a solution is to save the code value, not the text for the code, and only display the text.  In this way, the database would have UK and when you re-entered the screen, a PBO module could obtain the text for UK for display.
Or, if you must store the text value instead of the code (seems redundant...you can look up the text anytime), an enhancement to the save to database logic to obtain the correct value from the current value of the code and save that to the database....

  • Sort function for Iphone??

I was so glad today when I received the latest update containing the function to sort playlists only to find out it only applied to Ipad.
Why is it so hard to get this function for Iphone?
Has anybody heard of when the sorting function will be released for Iphone?

    I saw that! Amazing!
I can't believe it took so long. Kind of disrespecfulnto call it a "small change" in the change notes. If it was that small, why irritate a whole community by not applying it sooner?
Now you/they just have to work on it remembering the chosen sorting when leaving and reselecting a playlist. As of now sorting goes back to default if you leave a playlist.

  • Browse function for new Metadata field

    Hi
In UCM Content Server, is there a way to add a "Browse" button to desk top or a custom search for a new Meta data field similar to "Primary File" ? All my research shows examples of static drop down list.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
My idea was to mimic the functionality of "Primary File", the meta data field with the "Browse" functionality to the desktop. I want to add an image meta data field to the "Check In" form. I don't want to use the Inbound Refinery image but a image that can be posted with a News document.
    Thanks for the help.

  • CutinTwo function for lists

I'm trying to do this CutinTwo function to use in another function called generalsort.
This function takes in a list, and returns 2 lists that are the result of splitting the list that is takin in by the function. I got the base case, but I'm having trouble with the recursive call. My problem is, I'm trying to get a pointer to point to the middle element of the list, so that way I can cut the list in half.
Here is what I have so far:
    public void CutInTwo(list L1)
              list L2 = new list();
              if(L1.size == 1)
           return;
           else
                      Node current = L1.head;
                      int temp = L1.size / 2;
/*this part is the problem.  I can't figure out how to get to the middle
of the list.  The temp variable will return the the position where the
pointer should be, but lists and integers are not of the same type, so
how can I find out the middle of a list by using only list variables.   */
            }Thanks

    Lol,
yea, it's for an assignment for school. Believe me if I wouldn't have had to write my own list class, I wouldn't have.
This is the actual question I'm working on, if anyone cares to see:
    2. QUESTION 1b
Write a function GeneralSort that meets this specification:
Inputs: a list L, and a procedure CutInTwo that meets the specification below
Outputs: L' (i.e. L is changed), and two integers: Nc, Njs
         Preconditions: L is defined
Postconditions: L' is sorted in increasing order. Nc is the total number of times
two list elements were compared during the sorting process, including the
comparisons made by the Merge and CutInTwo functions. Njs is the total
number of join and split operations that were performed during the sorting
process, including the joins and splits done by the Merge and CutInTwo
              functions.
GeneralSort must use the "general sorting strategy" (described in detail in class):
         1. Use the procedure CutInTwo to divide L into two pieces
         2. Recursively sort the two pieces
         3. Merge the results (use the function written in Question 1a).
The function CutInTwo meets this specification:
         Input: a list L1
Outputs: L1' (i.e. L1 is changed), L2 (a list), and two integers, Nc and Njs
Preconditions: L1 has 2 or more elements
Postconditions: neither L1' nor L2 is empty, and collectively they contain all the
elements of L1 (and nothing else). Nc is the number of times two list
elements were compared during the cut_in_two process. Njs is the total
number of join and split operations that were performed during the
              CutInTwo process.
right now I'm having some trouble with the syntax for the generalsort recursive call and the merging of the two lists.
If anyone can help me out, that would be great,
    Thanks

                     10/19/2004 10/19/2004                                         12

    Hey Swetha,
    Try this code:
    select case when 1=2 then "Time Dim - Headcount".Date else CAST(MONTH(CURRENT_DATE) AS CHAR(2)) ||'/'|| CAST(DAYOFMONTH(CURRENT_DATE) AS CHAR(2)) ||'/'|| CAST(YEAR(CURRENT_DATE) AS CHAR(4)) from cobalt
It's not the most elegant solution, but it'll get you there. Ideally there would be a way to use date masking syntax, but I've tried the syntax I'm familiar with [MM/DD/YYYY] but that didn't change anything.
    Good luck!

  • Query for listing several values in same field

    Hi,
is there a function for listing more than one value in the same field, only with comma seperation?
For example, I want to group by cardcode from ORDR and list all docnum's like this:
    Cardcode    Docnum's
    21355          98765, 95498, 95164
    21564          95484, 54684, 95654, 98465
    21865          95484, 12486
    Kind regards
    Kjetil Sandvik

    HI,
    Thank for your replies.
We need to update all old orders for sure, but my idea was to use this query:
Select CardCode, COUNT(Address2) From ORDR Where Docstatus <> 'C' GROUP BY address2, cardcode order by cardcode, address2
The results will give me two lines for each customer and count the addresses, so then I know that the count of one of the lines must me changed. Let's say there is 20 orders with new address and 20 orders with old address, my intention was to manually change the 20 orders that is old. Instead of checking all 40, It would help alot to list all order numbers in a column beside in the query.

You would have to do this with your server scripting. While
    DW can help you
establish your data connection, and place that data on the
    page once you
have retrieved it from the database, the searching and
    sorting would need to
be handled in the SQL query that retrieves this data.

  • User Interfaces for Lists

    hi,
How to create user interfaces for lists
    thanks.

    HI,
The R/3 system automatically, generates a graphical user interface (GUI) for your lists that offers the basic functions for list processing, such as saving or printing the list. If you want to include additional functionality, such as pushbuttons, you must define your own interface status. To create a new status, the Development Workbench offers the Menu Painter. With the Menu Painter, you can create menus and application toolbars. And you can assign Function Keys to certain functions. At the beginning of the statement block of AT END-OF-SELECTION, active the status of the basic list using the statement: SET PF-STATUS ‘STATUS’.

  • Sort up down icon missing after implementing sort functionality

    Hi,
I have implemented sort functionality for a table, and it is working fine, but there is no sortable icon available on the table column.
The icon with the up/down arrow is missing. Once the sorting is over, the sorted icon apears on the screen. But the up/down sort icon should appear on the column header so that it is intutive and people know that the table columns are sortable.
What am i doing wrong ? How can I get the icon ?
    Thank you.
    Warm regards,
    Ashish

This is really important, The sort functionality is working fine but the up and down arrow icon is missing on the table.
Does anyone know how I can enable this icon ?

  • Obtain list of fields for marketing attributes against BP

    Hi All,
I'm working on a data extraction routine for BP data and need to be able to allow the user to select which fields will be extracted and added to the output file.  I've got some standard code that so far uses a data dictionary structure to create a pop up of fields with checkboxes so the user can select which fields to output - it uses FM DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET to simply list all fields for a given structure.
My requirement is to extend this so that all possible marketing attributes against business partners are also available for selection in the field list.  I guess to do this I need to find a way of reading all fields defined for any BP type attribute sets.
Does anyone know of any FM's that do this or have any ideas around tables I can read?
Note: I'm after the atttribute names not the actual values.
    Thanks,
    Gareth.

    Hi Gareth
I think the function modules in group CRM_MKTPFTPL_OW are really valuable.
Maybe you could call CRM_MKTPFTPL_GETLIST and then call CRM_MKTPFTPL_READ_CHR for each one.
    They aren't called by Pratik's FM's though .
    Cheers
