Seems like your strategy is to sort the values of the rising and falling slope...
How is your data generated and what is the reason why you want to do it this way?
Do you have a constant period?
Here is a way to merge to a fixed period (that can even be a fraction of the sample period)
But beware that the output doesn't have an equal timestep. That would need a resampling.

    I know nothing about “EndNote”, but allow me to give you some general advice. Your first, commented-out, line (“--section to wait for window to pop up”) indicates that you need to change the basic way you are tackling what you want to do. When writing any script, if you know the name and location of a file or a directory (folder) you should not cause (or allow, or need) your script to open an Open or a Save window -- just use the path that you already know.

  • How to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension

    Does anyone know of a way to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension and still make drilling work correctly? We have two hierarchies in our item dimension; one called category and the other origin. Simplified, it looks like this:

    We have numeric codes at each level above item which I represents the sort order (the number in parentheses at each level), and the items themselves should be sorted according to item number. I have implemented this (level code/item number) as an attribute in AWM making this the default sort order. However, as item is the lowest level in each hierarchy, I have only been able to list the items under the correct level in one hierarchy. As soon as I drill using the other hierarchy, the levels above item are sorted correctly, but the items appear at very odd places...
    The AWM documentation states that if default order is not selected on any attribute, hierarchies are sorted in the order they are created. Is there a way to control this order?
    Any input will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
    thank you for your answer. Yes, now I also find the class CL_SALV_WD_MULTI_CELL_EDITOR which could be used to set different UIE in one cell. But it is quite limited, just the following UIE could be used

    Hi Tracy,
    I'm guessing "ash" is the silver colored keyboard, the same color as the rest of the MBP? If so, that machine, with the optical drive slot on the front, is the older machine.

    Hello
    I assume you want to create multiple instance of your class.
    Assuming that you class is NOT a singleton then simply repeat the CREATE OBJECT statement as many times as you need.
    TYPES: begin of ty_s_class.
    TYPES: instance   TYPE REF TO zcl_myclass.
    TYPES: end of ty_s_class.
    DATA:
      lt_itab      TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_s_class
                     WITH DEFAULT KEY,
      ls_record  TYPE ty_s_class.
      DO 10 TIMES.
        CLEAR: ls_record-instance.
        CREATE OBJECT ls_record-instance.
        APPEND ls_record TO lt_itab.
      ENDDO.

  • More inactive versions of one program

    Hello,
    is it possible to have more inactive versions of one program/dictionary object? How to save them and work with them?
    Example: I develop something and do not know which solution is the best. I consider 2 solutions and need to do some test for comparison. I have solved it with a new programm with a different name till now.
    Thanks for your hints,
    Radek

    Hi
    The system can create a version of abap object only if it's assigned to package, i.e. it's not a local object.
    The system inserts the object in a change request as soon as it'll be changed.
    The version will be created as soon as the request is released.
    So only one version can be used, if it needs a old one it has to restore it.

  • Data more than 1TB in one site collection

    Hi All,
    Our client has a requirement where we need to upload documents of size more than 1TB in one of the subsite.
    How do you suggest we can achieve this without affecting the performance and with the set limitations of content DB.

    It needs to follow specific performance and usage guidelines:

  • Make more i-movie films one Dvd

    I am thinking of buying the new i-life package, but I am scared that my hardware is not able to edit a longer film, so I wonder if it is possible to burn more shorter sequences to one dvd and it plays all of them as one film? I experienced with i-movie 6 that after 40 min of video the sound did not work proberly! I will not miss the new possibilities but neither buy a new computer!

    Welcome to the forums.
    If you are asking whether iDVD6 can play multiple movies automatically one after the other -- the answer is no. Can iDVD09 do it -- I have no idea. Roxio Toast definitely has this capability.

  • Modify view of Default timecard periods view in OTL to sort list of periods

    Hi,
    Can someone guide me if there is any way to modify default timecard periods view in OTL. We intend to sort the list of timecard periods in OTL in order to show old non sumbitted timecard periods as default rather than based on system date.
    I have checked preferences->System that allow edits but that is not helpful in what we want to achieve.
    Thanks,
    Rajan

    These are the tabs that are displayed and the ones it gives me options for.
    There are many improvements needed for Bridge and the default metadata workspace is certainly one of them. In fact, in its current state it is next to useless and no help at all. But you are right, it should provide you with at least the description field but it does not. Oddly enough, the only way to achieve this is using the bottom right icons in the Bridge window. You see three of them, thumbs, large thumb with list and small thumbs with list. Currently you have selected the default small thumbs with list, if you use the middle one (large thumbs with list) and fiddle around with the slider for the size of the thumbs the description field magically appears in view but you are not able to put it in a separate column.
    So the find option is still your best option I'm afraid...
    You can also try to create your own workspace. Start dragging the borders to change the size of the panels to your comfort so you have a good overview of the panels you want to have in view.
    You can also change the order and place of panels in multiple rows but you are limited to max three columns. Place the cursor on a panel tab and start dragging it to a new location. A single blue line means either between a row or a column, a surrounded blue line means add as a tab in same location. You also can drag the tabs for your custom order.
    Now with the content panel in reasonable size use the icon bottom right for large thumbs and list view and use the slider for correct position of the description field. Save it as a new workspace (important to retrieve it when messed up). You can also have multiple windows in Bridge (at least on a Mac, you seem to be on Windows) and use one for list view and another for find results. etc. etc.

  • Sorting on fiscal period in webi report

    Hi
    In webI chart x-axis i have the fiscal period field which are displaying as period 01, period 02....and in sorted order.
    But i need to show like august 2010, septmeber 2010... instead of period 01. period 02, I am able to do it but not able to sort on august, september, october..
    It is showing up randomly like aug, jan. sep, dec...and not able to sort.
    any inputs please.

    your message i need to show like august 2010, septmeber 2010... instead of period 01. period 02
    your month object like jan, feb, march, april..........December
    create a variable for your Month object regording yor information like jan 2010, feb 2010, march 2010.................December 2010
    create variable------> Formula:     Month object + " 2010"
    you are looking for sorting:    So,drag the objects create a table,  Right click on column----> sort->custom->set your order---> jan 2010,feb 2010........December 2010
    again Right click on table---> turn ->chart->select your chart

  • Sort algorithm: how can I sort two arrays according to one

    I have two parallel arrays, similar to this:
    var array1 = [4, 3, 1, 5, 2];
    var array2 = ["four", "three", "one", "five", "two"];
    I want to sort the first array, and have the second array follow the same sort as the first. Any advice for a good algorithm would be appreciated.

    Hi Rick,
    frameexpert wrote:
    Technically, there was no correct answer because the problem could be solved in multiple ways,
    I don't think you're right about not marking the question as correct just because there are multiple ways of solving it.
    People search the forums for solutions and threads that are not marked as correct are somewhat relegated.
    It wouldn't hurt to make bduffy232's day or even mark your own solution as correct which is more the less the same as the one on the link from KuddRoww and more the less the way I would have done it but see the difference in the results in the table at the bottom of this post.
    I actually think that technically there can be multiple correct answers even though you can only  one can be marked.
    One other small point if you use the advance editor on the forum you can have you code formatted makes it much easier to read.
    Anyway here's my half pence worth on the scripting front.
    Your question was how to sort one array according to another, which I understand to mean that you want the originals arrays reordered
    Yours and bduffy232's scripts do that properly the others don't. Jongware's first script is easy to fix up this problem by adding to the end of his script.
    for (i = 0; i<Math.min(array1.length, array2.length); i++)
    array1[i] = array3[i][0];
    array2[i] = array3[i][1];
    alert(array1+"\r"+array2)
    Now in order of appearance
    Jongware said:
    .. I wonder why this does not work .. Perhaps my logic is flawed?
    Hi Jongware
    I tried your  (2nd) script twice and on both occurrences it crashed my ESTK
    From what I  understand (not said with much confidence) the flaw in your logic is you are passing your arrays values to be sorted array1[?] and array2[?+1] to the sort function as 'a' and 'b' but and then refer to the array array1[a].
    So let's examine a bit of the code
    var array1 = [4, 3, 1, 5, 2];
    array3.sort (function(a,b) {
    var swap, diff = array1[a] - array1[b];
    When run this is the equivalent of saying (for the first run of the sort loop)
    diff = array1[4] - array1[3]
    i.e.     diff = 2 - 5
    i.e.     diff = -3
    What you wanted to do was
    diff = a - b
            = 4 -3
    That's the way I see it.
    Hi Marc
    Change the first two lines of your first script to:
    var array1 = [40, 7, 1, 5, 2];
    var array2 = ["forty", "seven", "one", "five", "two"];
    Then run the script
    Now for my offering.
    The fancy script
    This script is not limited to a specific number of arrays.
    after creating the arrays one creates an array of the arrays, specifies the number of the array that one wants to sort by and calls the function.
    like this:
    sortArraysInSync([a1,a2,a3,a4,a5], 1);
    The arrays a1, a2, a3, ..... will get sorted according to the numeric or alphabetical order of the array specified in the 2nd parameter.
    One could easily (I think) change the sort function to first sort by array x and then by array y etc.

  • 2 or more Sales Quotatons in one XML file

    Hi,
    i wanted to know if i can tranfer 2 or more sales quotations to SB1 using only one XML file or do i have to split so that every sales quotation will have a seperate XML file?
    Thanks, udi

    The person just opened some additional window using Window > New window. Perhaps to have different Views of the file and not having to scroll all the time.
    You can easily fix it by just closing the windows. It does no harm to the file. When you save with only one window open, next time you open will also be one window.

  • Two or more apple TVs to one account?

    Is it possible to have two or more Apple TVs in the same household that are tied to one account? I'm assuming if that is true, then the content linked to my account should be shared between both Apple TVs as well. Correct?
    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi,
    this should not be a problem.
