Sound blaster for windows

I am trying to install sound blaster (CT480 card) into a windows 98 machine. It is giving me an error message of (DevCon DLL not in correct folder). Can anyone help with this error message or direct me to a better driver download... or a patch.

If your Sound Card is actually an onboard card, then your best contact for drivers for it would be your motherboard manufacturer. These cards are different from our retail cards and use drivers that were made for them.

Satellite P100-239 - Sound driver for Windows 7

Hello,
I need some support for installing audio driver for my Satellite P100-239. I tried different things but noone works. So I'm searching for a mate who give me a solution to fix my sound prob. I am sure it is a conneax hd audio.
I cant flash bios with BD1_BIOS(V4.80)_Update (is it possible for installing soundcard?)

It seems that the Vista driver also work on Windows 7! :)
Furthermore its not necessary to update the BIOS for installing sound card drivers because firstly you should try the correct driver.

It does not make any sense. Based on its support page, it uses "Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221 Driver" for Vista

Turning on Roar is not enough.
You need to connect Roar to computer and press and hold Play button:

hi i have a problem with my headset problem is this when i use my headset at windows xp i can get full performance of surround sound and alsa i can choose 5.1 speaker settings at windows sound control menu but ın contrast i can not choose at windows 7.it is very annoying because the difference of the sound quality is very big between windows 7 and xp. please help me about these problem i know i am not the one who have this problem . thanks

What about disabling your on-board sound card and boot into Windows without connecting the Sound Blaster Play!. Then restart and connect your Sound Blaster Play! again.
Have you downloaded and installed the latest driver for the Sound Blaster Play!? It can be found in this site http://support.creative.com/Products...T=CategoryID:1

Qosmio G10-100 - Need sound driver for Windows 7

Please please please can anyone help I have spend hours and hours installing loads of difference drivers and none work. I even tried installing DriveRobot and that installed a RealTec 97 but does not work.
I need a window 7 sounds driver for a G10 100 I am sure there is someone out there that has the same issues. Please note that when I go to the sound device it shows up and no sound drivers installed even if I install the Realtex ones.
I am pretty sure that the sound card build into the lappy is a SoundMax

First of all you should check the specifications of your notebook and what sound card is built in. I have done this and the Toshiba page shows a built in AnalogDevices AD1981B sound card. That means a Realtek driver will not work.
On the Toshiba website I can only find Windows XP drivers that means Windows 7 or Vista is not supported :(
You can search on external websites and with Google to find a driver. Maybe you have a little bit luck. ;)

LOL :) You don't need to search on Realtek page for drivers... the first Realtek page provides link to the High Definition audio codec!

This is my method of installing a Vista driver into Windows 7. The driver adds the necessary Registry entries.
Download the Sigmatel driver package R171786. This is the Vista audio driver for the Vostro 1400. It is for both 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems.
Extract the files (unzip or unpack) but cancel the installation process. Go to the hard drive to
c:\Dell\Drivers\R171786 (This is the folder that is created when you unpack the download. It contains the driver files.)
Right click on setup.exe and select Properties. Find the compatibility tab to select Vista.

They are on the OSx install disk. Assuming you installed Windows using Boot Camp Assistant, boot into Windows and install the drivers from the OSx disk.

Can't find sound drivers for windows xp

So I have a Satellite c655-s5061 which usually runs windows 7. I added a dual boot so now I have windows xp and windows 7. I did this because a game wasn't saving correctly in windows 7 and I figured I could play them better on xp anways with lower system requirements. The only sound I ever really hear is a beep. My problem is I can't find any drivers that work with windows xp to get my speakers to work. Any solution?

Qosmio F30 Sound Driver for Windows Server 2008

I am running a virtual machine with Windows Server 2008 installed on it. The server sees my Sound Driver but it doesn't recognize it and asks for driver all the time. I tried running the Sound Driver installer from the CD but it did work, said: Unsupported operating system. I searched all the web for a driver and I didn't find any. Can any one help in finding this driver for me or let me know it it is possible to manually install this driver?
I'll be so thankfull for any help.

As you probably know Qosmio F30 is not designed to be used as a server and generally speaking Toshiba doesnt support Server2008. All you can do is to identify sound card manufacturer and try to find the driver on their support page.
