Source-ordered XHTML and CSS site woes

Unfortunately, I am dealing with a site that has been built
across two generations of layout techniques. The client has also
followed the recommendation of a consultant and has fixed on
Contribute as their content editing method. This will not change
for the forseeable future. Half the site is table based tag-soup
bloat and the other half is source ordered CSS/XHTML. It's the
CSS/XHTML part that is giving us fits.
Contribute's web browser mode shows the site correctly.
However, once we move to draft mode the layout goes slightly askew
and we are unable to place the editing cursor on most of the
content. As it's all source ordered code what would be quickest is
to simply disable CSS display for draft mode. I can delete the CSS
files locally on my Mac with some fumbling and see the unstyled
page to edit. On Windows machines, and the client's machines are
all Windows XP boxes, and even after I do find the CSS files local
directory (Internet Temporary Files) delete them the draft editor
still displays the wonky rendering.
My question then is how can I get Contribute to ignore the
CSS while the client tries to update pages? Or, is there another
path to take to get the client up and running with Contribute
and valid CSS/XHTML? As it is, I would have to strongly
recommend against any client using Contribute until it can work
with web-standards based layouts.

As I mentioned to Sergio, it was probably when I switched back to flows_010500. When I did
wwv_upgrade.switch_schemas('FLOWS_010500', 'FLOWS_010600');
I was logged in as FLOWS_010600. However when I switched back using
wwv_upgrade.switch_schemas('FLOWS_010600', 'FLOWS_010500');
I was still logged in as FLOWS_010600. I believe that's the mistake; I should have been logged in as FLOWS_010500 to switch back to FLOWS_010500. I remember seeing this somewhere in the doc (that you should be logged in as the user you are migrating/reverting to), but it doesn't appear to be enforced.
In any case, thanks Sergio for the quick and easy fix! I'm now going to re-install the flows_010600 user and hope that things go smoothly this time.

What version of XHTML and CSS are in Safari 3.2.1

do you know what up to date versions of XHTML and CSS are in Safari 3.2.1
Before i decided to post here i did look at other options, the developers seem to have their own club.
and there was not much other choice on the front page of the forums.
I did try looking through the reference library, http://developer.apple.com/referencelibrary/
where else could i look to find what versions of XHTML and CSS are in Safari 3.2.1
and any other interesting specs.

It doesn't mention explicit version numbers but claims to tell you what functionality is supported.
Safari handles CSS2.1 and a growing number of CSS3 declarations. Work is also ongoing on [adding HTML5 support|http://webkit.org/blog/140/html5-media-support>, but I don't know if any of it has made the release version of Safari yet.

Lifet After HTML/XHTML and CSS

Since I could not afford going to college for web design, I
relied on books, articles and this forum to jump start my knowledge
on web development. I will never be an "expert" on web development.
I say this because the web language and technology is constantly
changing and one must keep up with today's craving for digital
supremacy.
Few months ago I was unable to create a web page with out
Dreamweaver design view but now, I hate design view. I sit and
create web pages in note pad all day and I love it! I love writing
raw codes and my dream is to become one of the best web developer
some day.
Anyway, I have learned a lot about CSS/XHTML to at least
create basic websites but I want to take the next step since I can
now afford to take college classes.
What do I learn next? I want to learn another language that
will enhanced my design/developer technical knowledge. Do I go
JavaScript? Flash/Actionscript?
I want to learn a technology that can create interactivity on
the web but with all the different languages, I'm confused as to
where to start.
Any advise?

I can - and do - some development in a text editor. However,

conveniences Dreamweaver adds - things like tag completion
and file
management - mean that I do most of my work in DW's code
view.

Learn serverside scripting, either PHP or ASP.Net/C# or maybe
.Net/jscript. Check the want ads or online job boards for
what
companies are looking for in the area you want to work.
There is some work out there for Flash developers, either as
part of a
team or as a subcontractor, doing parts of sites. A lot of
sites I see
use a Flash header to add some interest to a page. But the
number of
straight Flash sites is limited, and I suspect will be for a
while.
Javascript is good too, and some people make a living from
creating
javascript widgets for web development. See, for example,
Project
Seven (

Michael Brandt (Diva HTML
http://www.divahtml.com/).
And a competent web developer should have a
passing familiarity with it. But I'd guess that you're
unlikely to
land a local development job based on your javascript
abilities.

The original query posted would match EITHER a digit and uppercase pair OR a digit and | (pipes or bar symbol) pair and Salah's expressions will match a digit and any upper or lowercase
If the object is to match only a digit and uppercase pair and separate them with a sixth space, I would use: (\d)(\u) and (\u)(\d) for the find expressions and $1~%$2 for the change

PL/SQL Server Pages (PSPs) and CSS

I am used to creating standards compliant websites using XHTML and CSS and some other application language for dynamic content. I have recently started working with PL/SQL and want to create an application using PSPs. I was wondering the best way to go about including CSS in an application, because it doesn't make sense to duplication the CSS on each page, but since the PSP is converted to a procedure this seesm to be the only way to include CSS?
Any ideas on best practice for using CSS with PSPs?

I think you should be able to put all your CSS into a single file, or only a few files, like in a normal web project and that you can include this file using the regular HTML tag.
You store your CSS file(s) in a folder that is accessible by your website. Normally this is achieved by adding an Alias in the Apache webserver that is embedded in the Oracle database.
If I remember it correctly (it has been a while since I saw the embedded webserver) your request for your PSP goes to an url like http://your.server.com/pls/your_page. Everything of the url that comes after /pls/ is handled by the mod_plsql Apache module that is repsonsible for sending the request to the database and returning the result to the screen.
If you can define an alias like 'css' (without the quotes), which makes the url something like http://your.server.com/css/, then you can try to include your CSS file(s) referring to /css/file.css. Once you get this working, you can do the same for images.
This is a generic approach that can get you started hopefully.

In the Txn code: R3AC1 for the object Bus_Trans_Msg we need to enter the source- CRM and target site-R/3 under the tab Initial flow settings which is not editable.
when we do initial download of this object in txn:R3AS if throws an error.
Please let me know how we can enter the source and target site for the object-bus_trans_msg .

Not able to access Site logo from layout and css After removing all the permission from site

I have stucked here, actually I have removed permissions from all the users from the site and after sometime I got the mails from client that they are not able to access the Site logo and css in the site.
When I logged from Farm account and checked I can see everything working fine.Also the masterpage and all are checked in
I am not getting whats the exact issue.I stucked here from last one day Please help me to solve this issue.

Is it the publishing site? If so then go to site permission and provide permission to "NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users" to "Style Resource Readers" group.
You also need to make sure that "style library" is inheriting permission from parent otherwise you need to give at least read permission to library for all users. To verify this, just open view all site content page-->then click on style library,then
check permission.

I lost the ability to order and hide site columns if i use custom content type with a custom Create Form

I have a team site collection and I want to add a new App of type Issue Tracking list. so I did the following:-
From the site collection I created a new App of type issue tracking.
Then from the site collection I created a new Content type named “CustomIssue” which has its parent as “Issue” content type.
I went to the Issue tracking list and I changed the default content type from Issue , to the new “CustomeIssue” content type.
I open the site collection using SP designer and I created a new Create form for my Issue tracking list based on the "CustomIssue" content type and I select to have the Create form as the default form when creating an item.
Everything till this point worked well. But when I open the “customIssue” content type , and I re-order the columns and I hide some columns, this was not reflected inside the custom Create form …
although when using the default content type and the default create form you can control the order of the fields and to specify if certain fields hold be hidden inside the Create form.. so can anyone advice on this please?

According to your post, my understanding is that you lost the ability to order and hide site columns if i use custom content type with a custom Create Form.
I try to reproduce the issue, the result is the same as yours.
As a workaround, if I modify the custom content type form the site setting, and then change the NewForm as the default form, it will change the column orders.
However, if I use the new created form as the default form, it will remain the original orders.
I recommend that you modify the custom content type form the site setting, and then reset the NewForm as the default form.

Is there anyway I can keep design view, source code AND css open on screen all at the same time?
Constantly clicking between source and css is really becoming irritating, would be so much easier if they were both on screen at the same time.

You have two choices.
1 You can go to preferences>general and the very first item (in CS6) is "open document in tabs" if you deselct that then you can view your page in split view and also open up the CSS file and have it visible as well.
2 If you use tabs you can view the page in split view and open the CSS file and then detach the css from the tab and it will be an idependent item. You detach it by highlighting the tab and then dragging it down.
It helps to have a large screen, and better still to have more than one screen, you can put the css on the other screen.

Rendering erratic, script and css source visible

Safari is rendering quite badly for a few days. Javascript code and css statements are visible and div positionnning is completely lost.
I have the same problem in mail with html messages.

the problem is not the CSS but really the design.
If you configure the CSS to act transparently, the server will try to respon to the client directly.
If the CSS can't intercept the response, the client will receive a SYN/ACK from the server while expecting a SYN/ACK from the VIP.
So, the only way to have the CSS works transparently is to guarantee that the response from the server will go through the CSS.
3 solutions
- client nat and therefore you break transparency
- move the CSS in front of the servers
- use policy routing to intercept the server traffic and redirect it to the CSS.
You have option#1.
Option #3 is not possible with firewall, so you are left with option #2.

Your footer problem is easy, get rid of the extra HTML, literally. You don't need HTML and body tags around your footer (see below for your code).

XHTML and Dreamweaver Layouts

Hi Guys,
Another one of those newbie questions. Ive designed many
sites in Dreamweaver, using the layout pane, with the Layout table
and Draw Layout Cell tools to divide and arrange the page the way I
want it. Im going to be looking into producing valid xhtml &
CSS sites, as that seems to be the best way to go forwards (until
something new comes out) and from the what I read, the Layout table
and Draw Layout Cell is going to produce sites that aren't valid.
I'm quite comfortable with understanding how to use
Dreamweaver with a CSS stylesheet, using the properties pane on the
right of the screen. How on earth do I split the page design up
without using Draw Layout Cell/Layout table tool though? I'd
basically like to start with a header, left bar, content area and
then footer. When I've mastered this, the layout I want to create
is alot more complex. Can this be done in dreamweaver using one of
the drag and drop tools or am I going to have to get my hands dirty
and learn code, which i'm despertaely trying to avoid at this
point?

Diffrence in incomming order qty and billing qty in cube 0sd_c03 & 0sd_c01

Dear All.
i have uploaded 2 cubes 0SD_C01 & 0SD_C01 from our R/3 data, SAP recommed for 0SD_C03 for sales analysis and their best practice is also based on 0SD_C03 but it is very strange the values of both the cubes are not the same when i run the report but the values of 0SD_C01 is 100% same as R/3 values i.e. mcsi reports show the same incomming and billing qty as i can see in report for 0SD_C01 but strang to see in 0SD_C03 there is diffrence in these values.
can any one explain why did this happen as SAP recommed to use lbwe data sources and their best practice also base on 0SD_C03 and the other one i.e. 0SD_C01 is based on old LIS structures.
during exploration i come to know that in some material orders incomming and billing quantaties are same but diffrence in most of them.
any help will be highly appreciated.

There are somany Routines for Keyfigures in both Cubes, I hope you may using 0QUANT_B key figure for Qty, the reason is there may be some difernece in Routines in both cubes, so you need to check it tehn you check in teh reports, whether is there any restrictions, you need to iopen the each node and check i nthe both reports.
I also faced teh same problem with MCSI and BW reports, MCSI, we can customizi it an dut is just InfoStructure and having routines internally. So you need to take one material, plant and date where the diffrenece is coming then track it.

Outline Agreements - min order qty and regular vendor flag

As a part of E Source Integration with ECC we are planning to leverageusing Outline Agreement(Contract Type MK) to store
Price and other Business Terms for Material / Vendor combinations. Currently we are
using Purchase Information Record with minimum order quantity and
regular vendor flag functionalities, and these are maintained manually.
We intend to use Minimum Order qty and Regular Vendor Flag
indicator in Outline Agreement as well, however noticed that these fields are
not available in the screens. Does anyone know if these fields can be enabled in an outline agreement?

As a logistics consultant .I know that I can maintain Min Order qty for a material + vendor at PIR level..
My question ..if I buy 10 items in a PO from a sinle vendor..is there any option to restrict Min qrder qty for these combination of materials..
or in other words vendor says he dont care about number of items ,but the lot lot should be min..10 cartons only..
appropriate points will be rewarded.
