SP2010: Stop Permissions Inheritance on DocLib not working

Hi,
I have a couple of subsites with unique permissions. Permission inheritance is stopped on each subsite. Now I want additionally stop inheritance of permissions on a doclib of a subsite. The page just refreshes, but nothing is changed.
Has anyone seen this before? I did not try to perform this with Powershell yet.

I understand that you cannot stop permission inheritance for a document library. Does this happen to all the lists or libraries in the sub site?
Log in with another account to edit the library permission. Try to create a new document library to see whether you can stop the permission inheritance. You can try the powershell script below to stop permission inheritance:
$list = (Get-SPWeb "http://siteURL").Lists["Shared Documents"]
$list.BreakRoleInheritance($true,$true)
$list.Update()

Task created to stop and start Health service not working.

We have multiple servers being grayed out so we created a task to stop and start the health service on SCOM 2007 R2. We have created two tasks one to stop and another task to start. The STOP task works but the START tasks keeps running but there is no result
as well as when i check in Services.msc it is still stopped. Below are the screen shots .

The same was created for another service windows audio. Which worked for both stop and stop (Created separate tasks).
We also tried the recycle health service and chche which is also failing.

We are facing the issue only with Healthservice.

You are right we have to concentrate on the servers to determine why do they go grey (all in one site). But before we do that i felt i find a temporary solution. Then go deep investigation to solve the issue.
@Yan LI: As per the likn provided above you. I overrided the servers but still the health services were not starting or restarting. When i created a custom group and added the servers to that group in that site and then enabled the override on Restart
Health Service for a specific group and pointed towards that group then it worked.

I was trying to update and sync my iphone 4, the process stopped, now the phone does not work and itunes appears not to "see" the phone? suggestions?

I was trying to sync and update my phone with ITunes, about 5 minutes into the process everything stopped. Now the phone does not work, it will not turn on or off, the screen of the phone shows the Apple Logo and a straight line. ITunes seems to not "see" the phone. Suggestions??

My iphone 5 suddenly stopped charging. It's not working on any of my charging devices or with the apple charger

Just yesterday my IPhone 5 stopped charging. It won't charge on any of my docks, nor from the computer or from the charger that comes with the phone. Anyone have this problem and know what to do to fix it. I don't want to upgrade to the IPhone 6, I like my Iphone 5.

I understand your iPhone is not charging no matter what you connect it to. You have tried different charging sources. To further isolate, have you tried more than one cable?

Some Audio files have stopped producing sound - audio files not working

I recently noticed on a number of my projects that a few audio tracks have stopped playing back. This is very frustrating as I don't think I have done anything to change them.
For instance, the snare drum audio track that I have doesn't play anymore. The track is not greyed out, and it worked before, and I see the waveform when I zoom in. The file is still in my audio bin and if I play from there, I can hear it. I don't have the track muted, or the fader down, and it's output is set to my MOTU Output just like the rest of the tracks that do work.
I also have another project with various sound FX placed and timed just right, and a few tracks have done the same problem. I don't want to have to re-align them all again.

Do you have two regions of audio assigned to the same audio track?. Create a 2nd audio track directly below the questionable one on the arrange page. Slide the silent audio object down to the next track. Does it play then?
Is the audio track going to the proper outputs? If you are using a multi channel interface box like Motu 828, they could be assigned to the wrong output.
Can you create more audio tracks, and drag them out of the audio bin? do they work now.. Two years back, I was having that problem, don't remember how it got rectified other than creating new audio tracks and sliding the audio onto them.

Adding permissions "NT Service\mpssvc" not working - the account is not found. Firewall not running (error 5 (0x5))

i have a problem with the firewall-service on a Windows 2008 Std SP2. The firewall service does not start. Access denied problem. I can see that on some registry-keys the permissions for the "NT Service\MpsSvc" account are missing.
I found some similar threads, and
here is decripted what to do.
But if i try to add the permissions for "NT Service\MpsSvc" the server does not find this account - so, i cannot add it to the registry key.
What i have to do that i can select this account ?

But the problem is, that i can not ADD the account to the registry keys. The account "NT Service\MpsSvc" is not resolved when i try to add the permissions.

While adding permissions and resolving for account name, in location select "local machine" instead of domain. MpsSvc is local machine account !

My LAPD & kerboros service is stopped and workgroup manager is not working either

Hi I had to restore from a back up a while ago but the workgroup manager seems to have lost all of the passwords and the LAPD & kerboros service wont start in th open directory mater.
I have been told that if I make the opendirectory master a stanalone and then back to open dirctory master this will fix the problems.
Any advice for this server dimwit?

Have you tried demoting and repromoting? It usually does do the trick. Also, yes, all of the passwords were erased, they do not get saved. They will all need to be reset to something generic, given out to all the users and then have them change their passwords to something personal via the web portal.

Sometimes ill play music from my speakers and it will just stop and my speakers would not work then it would start working again and it continuously does this

Is there any way to fix this dilemma ?

What kind of speaker... how far away from phoen is the speaker is the battery in the speaker low

Repair Permissions: Slow or Not Working?

Is the Repair Permissions function in Leopard NOT working, or just incredibly slow (and progress not showing properly)? Some would report that it IS working, but takes a long time, sometimes even a few hours. Any experiences?

"I'm having trouble with Parallels".
My new MBPC2D with OSX.5 worked fine, until I ran Parallel with Bootcamp partition. OSX.5 won't start anymore, since it is in an indefinite start up loop, before ever getting to a blue screen. Starting on XP works fine, as does an OSX.5 back-up on a FW disk.
So I did a complete re-install. As before everything worked fine until Parallels and Bootcamp. Same miserable result. What to do? Permissions repair does not complete while running the book hot.
I bought the new book for running OSX and XP at reasonable speed in the first place!

My touch screen is not working at all and I've tried numerous times to turn it off and on but with no success to getting the touch screen to work again. Any suggestions to get it back working?

When resetting the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod fails to resolve a problem, the problem is likely due to a a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is then in order.

Dispatcher Not working

Im having problem with logging in. When I start Sap MMC everything seems to be fine and after couple of secs, Dispatched stops. and Since dispatcher is not working I can't log in.
I have tried to make several inquires and I have been told that, due to password mismatch Dispatcher is not able to connect
But I have to idea, which password are they refering to.

Wrong password for sapr3, need to be syncronized with table SAPUSER.
Wrong OP$ accounts

Flash Printer not working

Hello, we have the following problem
We have our application in a server.
We want to exeecute flash printer from aspnet page passing parametters "ourfile.pdf" -o "ourfile.swf"
If we execute flashprinter from console it works perfectly, but from our aspnet page it doesn't do anything (flashprinter neither adobe reader open).
We have give permissions to "Everyone" and not works.
Server: Windows Server 2003
Acrobat Reader 9
Flash Paper 2
Some ideas?

Osx 10.7.2 error - mouseover dock magnification not working

I am not sure it is related to the most recent upgrade, but my mousovers in Chrome/Safari is no longer working and dock magnification is no longer working either. Has anyone seen this.
I've tried to repair permissions, but it did not work. Any help would be appreciated.

Just for grins, I tried repairing permissions again and only one issue existied - Library/Preferences/com.apple.alf.plist should be group 80, group is 0.
I repaired it again and restarted. I verified permissions again and there it was again.
This issue also appears in two user profiles.
Pesky little bugger. Thoughts?

Lync Meet Now not working

I am using lync 2010 and users are unable to join online online meetings externally, getting 404 - File or directory not found when clicking on the meeting URL. On front end server i am getting below error when user initiates a meeting:
A Create Conference request sent to an Mcu was rejected. It will be retried but if this error continues to occur conferencing functionality will be affected.

Cause: Overloaded or incorrectly functioning MCU.
Resolution:

I have checked File Share folder permissions and they are correct. Not sure if this is related but this issue came after my file share folder went down. It is now up again with correct permissions but meetings are not working.

If above still doesn't work,please double check the file share permission to verify:
1)Configure the NTFS file security on the new folder and you grant
Read & Execute permissions to Everyone.
2)verify that the Administrators group is already granted
Full Control in NTFS security .
3)Configure the share permissions so the administrator account is granted
Full Control.
Also make sure you have restart the Web conferencing service and IIS service.

My new Macbook not working :(

My Mac wont start up, when i turn the power button on the screen remaining in the loading-to-startup stage never gets to the part to log in to account..

Boot from your system install DVD, run your Disk Utility and repair your permissions. if that does not work, run your system installer.
