SPA504G SCCP to Asterisk - SEP$mac.cnf.xml - Define CallManager entry

Hi
I am using the SPA504G and the asterisk chan_sccp_b module to connect the phone to asterisk
The communications works well.
My problem is the  options of SEP$mac.cnf.xml vs the XMLDefault.cnf.xml
Almost all the doco is about zerotouch etc is for SIP, but I am using SCCP
In the sccp environment if a SEP$mac.cnf.xml exists for the phone, it reads nothing else. (But I ant work out how to set the callmanager server), so it just loops reloading.
If I set the callmanager entries in XMLDefault.cnf.xml  it connects but I cant set the ntp server/timezone.
I would prefer to create individual SEP$mac.cnf.xml  files, can anyone tell me how to set the callmanager entry ?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi Godfrey,
Could you please collect packet capture from the back of the phone when it tries to register using the link:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/44741/collecting-packet-capture-cisco-ip-phone
If the IP phone port is not spanned, then you have to collect the sniffers from the switchport where the phone is connected to. You have to span the switch port and collect the sniffer captures

  • CME not creating custom SEP MacAddress .cnf.xml files, using XMLDefault.cnf.xml for phones

Hello, I have CME 8.6 installed on two 2851s and before going into production, I am testing a few phones.
One of my 2851's is creating cnf.xml files for each phone using SEP<Mac address>.cnf.xml and the other one will not and the phones keep booting up with XMLDefault.cnf.xml.
I've looked at both configurations and I can't see what the difference is. Other than not being able to create the SEP<MacAddress>.cnf.xml files, the phones appear to be loading up fine.
One difference I see is the "its" directory is located on system: on the one that creates the cnf files, and the "its" directory is located in flash on the one that doesn't, although I don't know how that matters.
Below is the one that doesn't create the SEP<MACADDRESS>.cnf.xml files for phones:

Hello, and thanks for the good advice. I did try and added the cnf perphone command and ran no create cnf-files and then create cnf-files, but unfortunately its still not making them.
Also, from the other few CME installations I've seen, all of the information is in flash, but for some reason when I xtracted the tar for this CME, it's showing up in system: ? Could that be a problem?  Here is what I see:

  • Problem when using templates in report 6i with xml defination

Iam trying to generate a report through xml defination , and iam including the template
in the xml . but when i include a user parameter in the template and try to map that UI parameter as f_1 in margin (you can look in object navigator) and run the report through xml then report is hanging, But it works fine when i add the template to the rdf . I doesn't when i include that tdf in the xml and run it. can any one solve this problem.

In the template you should change both the font for headings and for data.
Those are 2 different section in the template.

  • Including CSS in xml defination instead of using labelattribute tag every where

I am creating a report using XMl defination
but i don't wanna type all the font syle color for each field , i want to use css
so that i can include css and use class for
each element just like we use in html/css
i have seen the documentaion , i could'nt find it , can some one help me with example
    thanks

I think it would be simpler to use just a normal report template that can define the colors and font for the different sections in the report.

  • How can i develop charts using only xml defination

how can i develop charts using only xml defination.can any one please let me know
    manks

    hello,
in reports 6i the charts are created using oracle graphics which stores the chart definitions in a separate file (.OGD). there is not XML interface for graphics.
with reports 9i and the introduction of the BIgraphBean the definition of the chart-properties is also done in XML.
reports 9i will be available with iAS Release 2.
    regards,
    the oracle reports team

  • MAC address and the CAM entries on the Layer 3 FWSM(Transparent mode)

    Hi,
With refrence of Cisco Secure Firewall Services Module (FWSM) of Cisco Press book it's mentioned that
"While configuring the transparent mode in FWSM, it is important to specify the MAC address and the CAM entries on the Layer 3 next hop device of FWSM."
This part of configuration is not very much clear to me please let me know the logic of this things
    The following are two examples:
Layer 3 Device A (PFC) at the Outside Security Domain
! IP address of the next hop for the outside security domain
    interface Vlan20
    mac-address 0000.0000.0001
    ip address 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.0
! Specify the IP address and MAC address at the first hop layer 3 interface
! of the inside security domain
    arp 10.10.1.21 0000.0000.0001 ARPA
Layer 3 Device B at the Inside Security Domain
! IP address of the next hop for the inside security domain
    interface Vlan21
    mac-address 0000.0000.0021
    ip address 10.10.1.21 255.255.255.0
! Specify the IP address and MAC address defined at the first hop interface
! of the outside security domain
    arp 10.10.1.21 0000.0000.0002 ARPA
    Regards
    Chris

Check the serial # reported by Sys Info against the serial # printed on the bottom of the case. I bet they are not the same. The service center did not change the serial # on that new Logic board to match the REAL serial number of your Mac.
So when you try to go to the MAS it looks like a completely different Mac which is not registered under your Apple ID.
If the above is true, the serials being different, then you need to take it back and have that changed to your REAL serial number.

  • [JS - CS3 - Mac OS] XML import preferences: xslt file issue...

    Hi,
I know there's a bug on Mac about this, does anybody knows if is there another way to do it?
I'm importing an XML file and I need to transform it with an XSLT stylesheet.
    Here's the code:
    var xmlFile = new File("/User/Desktop/product.xml");
    var xsltFile = new File("/User/Desktop/stylesheet.xsl");
    with(app.activeDocument.xmlImportPreferences){
         transformFilename = xsltFile;
    myNode.importXML(xmlFile);
Pretty simple but ID is missing my xsl file...
I'm really bored about this, hope there's an alternative solution...
    Thanks anticipately.

    Hi Thomas
I've learnt a lot since my last posting, so thanks for putting me on the right track then.
I have actually tried what you suggested. I had the same problem with the XML file path when it was hard coded. The object being that I just wanted to replace a static xml doc.
Where I've got      set xmlpath to choose file with prompt "Select the XML"
i also had             set xsltpath to choose file with prompt "Select the XSLT"
log xsltpath --(this throws the value of xsltpath in to the results pane of AS)
It still didn't work. It showed the correct path to the file but still failed when run through the script. Bizzare!
The only other thing that I could try is to just define xsltpath as "CWtoINDDElements.xsl", due to the fact that I've told InDesign that I'm getting the XML from the same folder in the 'choose' function.
I'm not connecting to my work VPN at 11.50pm, so I'll try again in the morning.
Thanks Thomas. It's great to bounce ideas around.
    Best, Andrew

  • Installing Asterisk on Mac OS X - step by step please

Dear friends - I spent the last 48 hours googling for a tutorial to install Asterisk (www.asterisk.org) on Mac OS X without much success.
What I need, given my limited knowledge and skills, is a set-by-step (literally) tutorial for doing the installation, configuring and then using Asterisk.
If anyone has the knowledge and the patience to explain this to me, no doubt it will be immensely beneficial to many users out there and should be the number 1 result to a Google search about this, in no time.
I love this community. Thank you very much.

    Absolutely agreed.

  • SPA504G and PBX Asterisk with different registration state.

    Hi,
I've faced up a issue on 136 Cisco SPA504G with firmware 7.5.2 and 7.5.4, which I wish  to share with you in order to get help from you.
In one moment, we started to receive claims from our users who were saying " they couldn't dial nor received any phone call".  We verified our  Asterisk PBX and we realized that there were 136 extensions in "unreachable" state. So, we entered into the some  web service of the phone and we could see its registration state was "Registered" and its next registration in was "0s". But the PBX saw them as "unreachable".
We checked the LAN conection between them and the PBX, but didn't find any problem.
The only way for recover this situation was unplug and plug the power all the phones.
Have you experienced a similar issue ?, How can I prevent a new issue?
    Regards
    Rodrigo

Well, I'm maintainer of a lot of Asterisks (v.11.11.0) switches. Some of them have few hundreds SPA504G phones registered all the time. We deployed no 7.5.2 version of firmware, but we user 7.5.4. Currently we are using 7.5.5. During past three years we has not been affected by issue you described or something similar.
Increase verbosity and turn on debug messages on Asterisk console. Catch packets between your Asterisk switch and a device. Start with registered and reachable device, wait until the PBX will claim it unreachable. Console messages as well as trace file may help you (or us) to analyze the issue.

  • SEPA Direct Debit XML file error

    Hello,
we've set a Z version of CGI_XML_DD tree for SEPA direct debit.
Different payment proposals have been successfully created in F110.
Most of the XML file generated from F110 have been accepted by banks with no problem.
But in one specific file, we've got an error that I'm not able to interpretate. As it's XML, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this message, but as it's created in SAP throught this format...
Could you please tell me what's wrong in here?:
    Error, see line 1:
Element '{urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:pain.008.001.02}Dbtr': This element is not expected. Expected is one of ( {urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:pain.008.001.02}UltmtCdtr, {urn:iso:std:iso:20022:tech:xsd:pain.008.001.02}DbtrAgt ).
I've compared this wrong XML file with correct ones, and everything looks in order...
    Thank you

    Solved.
This error came because creditor has no SWIFT code informed, and no mandate.
As per requirement, those flags where not selected in payment method, so no error message was shown during the payment proposal.

  • CS2/MAC/Applescript: XML Export problem with Special Character (thin space).

    Hi,
I just have noticed that the base XML export of Indesign doesnt encode/keep the unicode value of Thin Space in the exported XML. Strangely, a non-breaking space is encoded ( ) and a few other higher range unicode values (well not encoded, it's in the text data just like any other character).
The thin space is converted to a char 63 (?). I have tried utf8 and utf16.
Is this behavior documented somewhere? There is no option in the export window.
Does it mean that the only complete and reliable way to export text data is to have another script to export the tagged page item text content? (i definitively can do this, but it's remove alot of the simplicity of using the base XML export) [and make any simple xml/text roundtrip unfunctionnal]
Anyone having experience with XML workflow can confirm if i have just met a known limitation of Indesign??
    Thanks,
    Eric

Oups! I was able to find something here on the same subject:

  • XML defined Flex Charts

I am reading in some xml from a servlet to create a chart.
But I'd like for the servlet to supply not just the raw data for
the chart, but also all of the formatting elements as well as an
indeterminate number of series. The flex application would create a
new series instance for each one defined in the xml. And the chart
type would also be read in from the xml. I have had no problem
creating static charts but this kind of amorphous "all-comers"
chart seems quite difficult to achieve.

I could try addChild once I read the xml, but beyond getting
the data into the chart dynamically, I do not even know how to
access the xml data. I am brand new to flex. Should I put it in an
ArrayCollection? If so, how do I get it there? I need to read in an
indeterminate # of series, each with a list of x,y points (or
perhaps a single value for column series) and create a new series
of the type specified in the xml file and add it to my generic
    master chart.
Does anyone have any ideas/experience with this?
