Including CSS in xml defination instead of using labelattribute tag every where

I am creating a report using XMl defination
but i don't wanna type all the font syle color for each field , i want to use css
so that i can include css and use class for
each element just like we use in html/css
i have seen the documentaion , i could'nt find it , can some one help me with example

I think it would be simpler to use just a normal report template that can define the colors and font for the different sections in the report.

How to include .css file into jsp file in portal application

I have included a .css file in a .jsp file using following tag :
<link rel="<%=componentRequest.getWebResourcePath()%>/css/ts.css">.
I have kept .css file under /dist/css folder.
Preview of jsp file is fine but when I upload the jsp file and .css file to server, Look and feel of the screen is changing. When I paste the style code in jsp file, look and feel is fine.
Can some body suggest me that why the look and feel is changing when I put the style code in css file and include it in jsp.

I am trying to display profile values in a JSON object in jsp.
<dsp:getvalueof var="json" bean="ProfileFormHandler.ProfileJSON"></dsp:getvalueof>
<c:out value="${json}" />
but instead of using dsp tag is there a way for accessing ProfileFormHandler using JSTL tag
Also how can we use droplets in ATG like ForEach using JSTL tags only

You can then access it as a page scoped attribute. So this should do:

So essentially you want to call a servlet from JSTL which as such shouldn't be done in a well written script-less JSP. You can probably try to use the droplet as a bean and use JSTL on top of it but since ATG droplets also have different types of parameters like input, output and open so you will have to specially handle those.

Flex 4, exporting a Release Build does not include CSS/XML?

So I'm using external CSS and XML. I'm pulling the CSS with <fx:Style source="CSS/styles.css" /> and am using HTTPService to fetch the XML data.
It works great, until I export as a Release Build.
It doesn't include the CSS or XML files, but still pulls the CSS colors and whatnot, I just can't update them.
What gives? How can I get the CSS and XML external files to.. well, stay "external"?
I need the user to be able to update the CSS and XML on their end, but can't if the Release Build embeds the CSS and XML files before exporting..
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

dont think Flex can read a raw CSS sheet. You have to precompile them, right click on the file in project explorer and chose compile CSS to SWF

Problem when using templates in report 6i with xml defination

Iam trying to generate a report through xml defination , and iam including the template
in the xml . but when i include a user parameter in the template and try to map that UI parameter as f_1 in margin (you can look in object navigator) and run the report through xml then report is hanging, But it works fine when i add the template to the rdf . I doesn't when i include that tdf in the xml and run it. can any one solve this problem.

In the template you should change both the font for headings and for data.
Those are 2 different section in the template.

Is it possible to configure CF10 or CF11 to use Xerces XML parser instead of Saxon XML parser?

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to configure CF10 or CF 11 to use the older Xerces XML parser instead of the Saxon XML parser.
I am in the process of migrating a website from CF8 to CF11. Several sections rely on XML transformation, which no longer work in CF11. After investigating the problem it seems to be that the Saxon Parser is more strict, causing these errors.

Well I guess Parsers would be better solution. As u said u need to insert node at specific location.
so now u have to decide which parser u need to choose according to u r requirmnet. DOM or SAX maily.
Both has adv and di-advs.

in reports 6i the charts are created using oracle graphics which stores the chart definitions in a separate file (.OGD). there is not XML interface for graphics.
with reports 9i and the introduction of the BIgraphBean the definition of the chart-properties is also done in XML.
reports 9i will be available with iAS Release 2.

Im using IntelliJ IDEA with a flex project and for some reason its stopping comilation with this error:
[SUITE (Flex Application 1)] flex.messaging.config.ConfigurationException: The services configuration includes a channel-definition 'java-polling-amf' that has an endpoint with a context.root token but a context root has not been defined. Please specify a context-root compiler argument.
when I was using flex builder with CF builder I never needed to specify the context.root

I don't use IDEA, so I don't know what kind of configuration settings it has for Flex project development.
You don't need the java-polling-amf channel for CF development. By default, CF development uses CF-specific channels:
my-cfamf
cf-polling-amf
my-cfamf-secure
any custom channels you've created yourself for CF to use
That said, all the channels require a context root setting for your project to compile properly. If you still have Flash Builder handy, take a look at your compiler switches for a project there to see what you're missing in IDEA.

Validate with the JAXP DOMParser instead of the JAXP SAXParser.
To validate with a SAXParser use the xerces SAXParser.

Attach an xml to a pdf using ADS

Hi all,
I have a scenario where we are sending a Base64 encoded PDF (a bill) and the corresponding xml data from SAP backend on level 4.6C to PI 7.1. In PI we should attach the xml data to the PDF. I have already succeeded to do this using iText but we have a requirement to do this with ADS instead. In Netweaver Developer Studio I created an example project where I am reading a PDF as a byte array, also reading an XML file and try to attach the XML to the PDF using the ADS api. The project successfully built in NWDS but when I am running the project it failes.
I am using standard code to attach the xml stream to the pdf, the error message is thrown when the following line is executed:

There is a requirement to generate an Adobe Form using SAP Interactive forms, and then, send this PDF to a non-SAP system using Base-64 encoding. The receiving system will decode this file and re-generate a PDF.
I have heard that this could be done in the PI layer, using the Conversion Agent.
Another approach which I can think of is convert PDF to binary and then use the cl_http_utility=>encode_base64 to convert binary to base64.
You have mentioned that you have had to send a base 64 encoded pdf. Could you pelase guide me through the process?

Idoc is recieved as xml format instead of text format

hi i am new to XI , I am right now i am trying with Idoc to file scenario
i am sending idoc from an R/3 system and i am receiving it as file in another R/3 system. In accordance to that i have designed & configured all settings, But when i am sending idoc thru my communication channel i am able view a '" *.txt " file with all my necessary details in xml format instead of text format.

You have selected the wrong message protocol: to get an file not XML you should select File Content converion as message protocol
change it to folowing

XML report output displays xml code instead of pdf

Hi,
My Release is R12.1.1, An xml report whose output is set as pdf. when running this report output is coming as xml code instead of pdf
another xml report ouput is coming in word instead of pdf
is there any additional settings required to display in pdf format
eventhough i configured pasta.csg & ixlib.cfg files

one thing i want to know can application use the same pasta.cfg file for pdf and text format
as i have a single pasta.cfg configured

Issue with XML post when port used with server name

Hi Guys,
We are currently using an agent on our application servers which puts a server in "inservice standby" if the CPU load on the system goes above 75%. This agent is using an XML post on the CSM to achieve this and put the server back inservice using XML post as well.
Currently we are trying to use the same agent for another application which has a port number defined as well and it does not seem to work.
To give an example where it works:
serverfarm TEST
nat server
nat client TEST
real name BLABLA
inservice
The example where it does not work:
serverfarm TEST
nat server
nat client TEST
real name BLABLA 50000
When we get the server name via XML we see that CSM returns the name as BLABLA: 50000 however using the same in the script does not work.
Would someone know how to put the port number in an XML script so that the CSM understands which server need to be changed.

It would be some thing in line with the following example

The DTD for CSM XML will let you know what tags and attributes are available to use:
