Spark TextInput does not bring up soft keyboard in iOS?

I created an app with TextInputs that was working fine, bringing up the soft keyboard in both Android and iOS devices. After being away from it a couple weeks, when I made some unrelated changes, it no longer brings up the keyboard at all on iOS, and on Android it no longer displays the contents of the TextInput while typing, with the "Done" button.
I can't think of any changes I made that would cause this change...
I found old posts here and elsewhere about the Spark TextInput not triggering the v keyboard, but they're all a year old, and I know I've been fine until now.
Can anyone help?

I was able to get it to work again by no longer using an mxml skin, which I was using to make the corners square, not rounded. Once I removed the skin reference, it brought up the keyboard again. Do you know why this might be? And could you tell me why there are forum exchanges around saying spark textinput cannot bring up the keyboard, only the mx:TextInput can? Perhaps they date back to an early beta version of the sdk?

I observe that the red rectangle remains the same size (about half the screen). I expect the red rectangle to resize to fill the entire screen as it does on iOS.

Spark textinput does not display unicode properly

I need to type in some special charactors using unicode input method.
(install microsoft pinyin, and use secondary inputs-> unicode input, and type "E826" into the textinput box)
in spark textinput, the charactor is showing as a sqare; while mx textinput displays the charactor correctly.
does anybody know solution for this issue? or is it a known bug in flex? thanks!

I did not set font for neither s:textinput nor mx:textinput. "Arial" should be used by default.
I am wondering how mx:textinput can work. is there any alternative font set for it by default?
I am not sure which font contains these special charactors.

My search function in contacts does not bring up a keyboard anymore. How do I find a contact?

I just upgraded to IoS 7. My contact functionality was working until this am but now when I go to contacts and click on the spotlight a keyboard does not come up so I cant type in anything to search... Help!

With the New Message window open, go to the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar...".
In the screen that opens, drag the item labelled "Address" into the Toolbar area of the New Message window, then click the "Done" button.
That item should be then added to the Toolbar for the New Message window.
Note that the main Mail window and the New Message window (as well as the separate message window if you open a message that way) use different toolbars - the settings/inclusions for one do not carry over to another.

Holding option on boot does not bring up boot selection screen

Holding option on boot does not bring up the boot selection screen, the machine just boots from the previously selected startup drive.
MBP 17 mid-2010.
SL 10.6.7
I created a three partition drive on a Seagate GoFlex 1.5 TB drive. GUID partition table.
Used SuperDuper to clone the drive. Drive is bootable. Booting from drive works using Startup Drive selector, so does not appear to be a drive issue.
I'm baffled. What can I do to fix/troubleshoot?

Are you using a Bluetooth keyboard by any chance, I see that same behaviour at times if so ?
I tend to select the desired boot volume with System Preferences/Startup Disc these days although option should work ...
I have noticed that if you reboot right away the option key often works the second time round which is odd.

When I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts

I have followed the instructions to setup Messages, I can send messages to the email addresses that I have memorized, but when I try to create a new Message on my Mac, Messages does not bring up my Contacts when I type in the search field for a person that has an iPad or iPhone.
This sems out of sorts for an Apple product. Their stuff normally just works.
For some reason, My Mac Mini with Mountain Lion doesn't recognize my contact names, or it isn't synched with my contacts...
Anybody else want to weigh in, please?

I would point out that I did say...
Of course the Contacts List has to have people listed in it.
The Error seems to be that you have not even got an My Card.
The OS when the computer is brand new and you set up the first Admin Account should create at least once Card entry for the Address Book/Contacts which has the Head and Shoulders icon (the My Card)
The does presume the the first account on the Mac doers have a person's First name and Last name to work with.
Of course not everyone sets things up this way.
Anyhow
To Check the Contacts List open the app.
Go to the Preferences.
Go to the Accounts section.
This should list at least two "accounts
One is for Syncing with iCloud and the other is for storing the Info on the Mac itself
In System Preferences > iCloud you can only set up one Apple ID to be the iCloud ID.
If you do or have changed this you may have extra accounts in the Contacts > Preferences > Accounts

hello, the addons manager is exactly the right place to look for it. please try disabling the addons that are listed there one-by-one (a restart of the browser might be necessary after each step). maybe one of them is bundling this kind of adware.

LR2.7 does not bring up images from Nikon D7100

LR 2.7 does not bring up images from Nikon D7100 which I have just purchased. I have downloaded latest DNG raw converter 7.4 but does not work. The images come through fine in Bridge but not Lightroom. What is the problem?

Since camera makers insist on their own proprietary file formats, Adobe must provide support for each new camera as it is introduced. When a new version of Lightroom is released all development and support for the previous version ends. Your camera wasn't even mentioned or introduced when Lightroom 2.7 was released. Consequently, there can be no support for it. When you buy the newest camera model you should expect to also buy updated software to support that camera. In any event, the raw processing in the latest version of Lightroom is so far superior to what you have you really need to upgrade your Lightroom. You might consider using the Lightroom 5 beta until the official release.
Are you sure the DNG converter doesn't work? You only point it to the folder containing your raw files. The DNG converter doesn't list the contents of the folder. You will only see a list of your NEF files after you click the button to convert them.

As a workaround, I placed shortcuts from my Topaz plugins in my old CC 64bit plugins folder, in the plugins folder of CC 2014 64bit. The plugins seem to work ok in CC 2014. Note that CC 64 bit itself is uninstalled but the plugins folder remains.
I know this is not good practice but it works and I'll stick with it till there's a solution from Topaz or Adobe. The advice from Topaz so far was not helpful.

When in Lightroom 2.3 edit in Photoshop does not bring up image in Photoshop

When in Lightroom 2.3, you go to edit in and select Photoshop, it opens Photoshop CS6 but does not bring the image in. This has only happened recently and maybe I have done something to make this happen as it never used to happen. What can I do to figure this out?

If after updating Lightroom, it doesn't start working, initiate a repair install of Photoshop CS6.
