Specifying the Universal path, while defining constant path

Hello All,
               Whenever I am declaring the constant path, i have to define the path like "E:/ New folder/......vi", which can't be run whenever i shift my project to another pc or if i run the application at another pc, so is there any other possibilities to define the path so that it can be defined as the universal path that, whenever it runs, it take that vi from that universal path, not from static path.
Thank you,
Rujuta

Hi friends,
               What problem you are facing now, i was facing that long back. So finally i came with good method.
In projects always use relative path instead of absoute path. In the same folder create one udl file & for your VI create path for UDL file as follow...
#1 > use for build path(From shortcut menu)
#2 > First(Top) path input use as application directory.vi..
#3 > in the second(Below) input type only udl file name with extension.
#4 > Output will be always relative.............
                                          Now you can also verify this folder into another directory or other PC as well.

  • Why does Visual STudio 2012 References keep showing Exclamation mark (which means assembly is missing) even after I specify the exact path?

     Our web application at work requires Visual Studio 2012
    For one of the projects within the Visual Studio 2012 Web Application Solution, we need the System.Web.Mvc in the References.
    I already have the following in the packages folder:
    {blah...blah..Visual Studio Solution path..blah}\packages\Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.5.1.1\lib\net45\System.Web.Mvc.dll
    I keep adding it, but the References still shows the Exclamation mark ( which means missing) next to the System.Web.Mvc
    Why does it keep showing the Exclamation mark ( which means missing) , even after I specify the exact path to the System.Web.Mvc.dll ?

    Hi cslewis33,
    Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
    Based on your issue, if you want to add the System.Web.Mvc reference for a web application in VS2012. As far as l know that the System.Web.Mvc dll is default be located like this path:" C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET MVC 4\Assemblies\System.Web.Mvc.dll.
    So if you create the web app using c# language, I suggest you can right-click your Reference under the we application -> Add Reference->select the System.Web.Mvc in the Assemblies tab.
    If the above suggestion still could not help you, I suggest you can consult this issue directly to the ASP.NET forum:http://forums.asp.net/ , maybe you will get better support.
    Thanks for your understanding.

    1) You could ask the user to tell you where it's at (and remember for next time)
    2) You could do a file search for it (and remember it for next time)

    Oracle internally uses standard file system interfaces to create and delete files as needed for the following database structures:
    * Tablespaces
    * Online redo log files
    * Control files
    Through initialization parameters, you specify the file system directory to be used for a particular type of file.
    EXAMPLE:
    The following parameter settings are included in the initialization parameter file:
    DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST = '/u01/oradata/sample'
    DB_CREATE_ONLINE_LOG_DEST_1 = '/u02/oradata/sample'
    DB_CREATE_ONLINE_LOG_DEST_2 = '/u03/oradata/sample'
    The following statement is issued at the SQL prompt:
    SQL> CREATE DATABASE sample;
    SQL> CREATE TABLESPACE tbs_2 DATAFILE SIZE 400M ;
    SQL> CREATE UNDO TABLESPACE undotbs_1;

  • How to specify the target name while deploying a code in OSB-- Plz Help

    Hi all,
    Am working in creating a cluster environment. For my testing i created a new managed server(OSB_Server) in 9001 port in the admin console itself and that server started running. The default managed server(Admin_Server) is in 7001 port. So when i deploy a code in 7001 sb console the WSDL gets exposed in 7001 because the default admin server port is 7001. While deploying a code in service bus admin console we are not specifying the target name. So how to specify the target name while deploying the code in service bus admin console. Plz help me.
    Regards
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
    There are three kind of server architecture possible for OSB -
    1. Single server - Everything gets deployed on Admin server itself
    2. Admin Server + Single Managed Server for OSB -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB managed server. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB managed server port only and NOT on admin server port
    3. Admin Server + OSB cluster -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB cluster. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB Cluster port(s) only and NOT on admin server port
    Converting one type of server architecture to any other type, requires a manual tedious process, so it is suggested that you create domain accordingly i.e. if you need clusters then while creating domain itself, create OSB cluster, so that all OSB applications gets deployed to OSB cluster. I will suggest you to create a clustered domain from scratch and import the configuration from your existing domian to this new clustered domain.

  • How to specify the saving path pdf by a "saveas" button in Javascript?

    Hello,
    Firstly, I use LiveCycle ES3 designer on PC. I created a form with a button executing a Java script that opens a dialog box "save as ..." like this:
    \ \ Script save-as \ \
    app.execMenuItem ("SaveAs");
    I would like to predefine a file path to open the dialog box that opens by default on the current location of the file "C: \ export \" for example.
    Could someone help me telling me the code and nomenclature to be used for this?
    I know Livecycle use XFA language and can use the "myDoc.saveAs ();" but I do not know how :-/
    I found this post in this forum but I don't understand how to use this code directly with a click event on a button
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/685920
    There is also a tutorial here but I can not seem to apply
    http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript
    Thank you in advance for your help :-)

    Try putting this script in the click event of the button
    Hidden_Text_Field_Path.rawValue=this.somExpression;
    This ought to work using either FormCalc or JavaScript.  I'm not sure from your description whether you will need to use the full path name for the hidden text field or use a relative one, but that's not too hard to deal with.

  • Can you specify the full path to jar in archive_jini

    can you put the full path to the client.jar file in the formsweb.cfg archive_jini parameter? like this:
    archive_jini=d:\something\somethingelse\client.jar
    or does it have to exist under %ORACLE_HOME%\forms\java ?

    None of the two. The path path is a relative web-url, for the content of archive_jni will be placed in the generated html which is "executed" by the users browser. So you either place your jar in $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java and put it without any path in the archive_jni-tag, or (more appreciated by myself), create a virtual directory (either by alias or by orion-web.xml) in your oas and place the jar in the according phycial path.

  • Is it required to specify the domain name while installing Oracle Bam

    I am trying to install Oracle BAM. Is it neccessary to specify domain while configuring services location.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    According to your descryption, In windows 7, the tool is migwiz.exe, namely the Windows Easy Transfer, you can modify the registry in the way listed in the post below:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/bbf5890c-b3d7-4b38-83d8-d9a5e025fb2b/how-to-move-clientside-caching-to-a-new-location?forum=w7itproinstall
    In Windows 8, Windows easy transfer is also a built in tool to migrate user profiles and user settings, but as for the offline transfer, I suggest to use the USMT for your situation.
    Because with USMT you can specify the folder that you want to migrate the files to, by using an offline.xml you can set the path just as the sample listed below:
    <offline>
         <winDir>
              <path>C:\Windows</path>
              <path>D:\Windows</path>
              <path>E:\</path>
         </winDir>
         <failOnMultipleWinDir>1</failOnMultipleWinDir>
    </offline>

  • Specifying tables in CSS (was Defining constants)

    Following some suggestions from Gary, I modified my table
    specification to
    read:
    .pictureframe {width: 5%; background-color: #d8d8f0; }
    .pictureframe td{padding: 5px; }
    In the HTML file this is invoked with:
    <table class="pictureframe" align="left"> [or as
    required
    This worked fine, except that if I had three pictures
    together aligned
    respectively left, centre and write, Dreamweaver did not
    display them correctly,
    but drew the left and centred images on top of each other.
    Gary also suggested replacing the 'align' statement with a
    'floa' statement in
    the CSS. This meant that I had to have separate styles for
    each alignment, so I
    introduced three new styles:
    .pf_l, .pf_m, .pf_r {width: 5%; background-color: #d8d8f0; }
    .pf_l, .pf_m, .pf_r td {padding: 5px; }
    .pf_l {float: left; }
    .pf_m {float: none; }
    .pf_r {float: right; }
    This introduced a new set of problems. Firstly style 'pf_m'
    takes up the
    default alignment of the cell it is in, instead of being
    centred, as I wanted,
    so to get it centred I still had to add an align = centre
    statement in HTML, and
    secondly the image drawn with pf_r has a wider border than
    the others. I cannot
    see why this should be so.
    A page demonstrating these various effects is at:
    D:\Websites\cybec\Test_nstdpage.htm
    Gary also complained "there's no such attribute as
    "bordercolor". Maybe strictly
    so, but you can hardly blame me for not knowing that.
    Dreamweaver doesn't
    complain about it, it works, and O'Reilly's definitive guide
    to HTML and XHTML
    has numerous references to it. I had to look for some time to
    find a statement
    that it was 'nonstandard' in one of these references.

  • How can I specify an area path for the work item created on build failure?

    In our department we are working with multiple build definitions for different parts of one Team project. We heavily use the Team Project feature. Teams are defined by area path nodes, so each team can only see it's area path. No one (except the admins)
    can see the root project node.
    When a build breaks, TFS generates a Bug. Unfortunately, this bug is assigned to the area path root node, so nobody can see the generated bug and act on it.
    We would prefer to specify the area path for the generated work item in the build definition (not template, but property of a build definition), as every build belongs exclusively to one team.
    I have found that you can populate fields of the generated work item by filling the "custom fields" of the "create work item" activity. But how do I set the area path as a parameter?
    Guenter

    Hi Cuenter,
    Thanks for your post.
    You should set the value like below in that activity:
    New
    Dictionary(Of
    String,
    String)
    From {{"Area
    Path",
    "teamprojectname\areaname"}}
