Speed dial only has one icon, to open up the windows. Another used to be on the other end of the tool bar for entering websites into the windows. Also do not know how to form another group.
I have just downloaded Firefox into a new computer. The firefox I had in my old computer had one (9 pt) icon at one end that brought up the speed 9 speed dial windows. It also had another similar icon at the other end of the tool bar that you could click on and place a website you were looking at into a particular window. This add on does not have that feature, which makes it very hard to make entries into the windows.
Also I have not found the way to add other groups of windows as I had before. I could even label them in categories. What to do?
My Computer is an HP p6653w and my default browser is Firefox 3.6
My operating system is windows 7.

Next ensure you have any of the 564 ink cartridges, once the printer being reset it require all the 4 ink cartridges to work

I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

Downloaded Mt Lion Yesterday and my Tool bar has disappeared. I can still access the individual tools but cannot see my header. I used 'help' and did what it suggested. slected 'hide tool bar' and then 'show toolbar'. I also restarted etc.
Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.

I have a Macbook Pro laptop running MAC OS X 10.6.8, an WD external 2Tb hard drive, and an HP Laptop running Windows 7. I want to use the hard drive on my wi-fi network so that I can use the same file on either laptop? I thought I knew how to configure this but I was very wrong. Help?

Drive Utility Help Viewer "does not know how to handle selected URL"
I have Drive Utility 10.5.6, according to . I'm trying to reformat a FAT32 partition on an external drive to Mac OS X Ext. Journaled in preparation for using SuperDuper to back up my Mac HD boot partition. For a time, which seems to have passed, now that erasing the partition has been done. The Disk Utility Help wouldn't work. Instead of putting up topic information, I got a message saying "Help Viewer does not know how to handle selected URL", followed by an reference to an html file that allegedly existed inside a set of folders inside the app. Where, of course, Finder cannot see. Once the erasing was done, Help seems to have come back. I tried Apple Support, but could only get a reference to OS 9 Appleworks macros not working in OS X. No help at all. Is this a question? I don't know. Help is working now. But for a while it was very annoying. It must be one of those little windows glitches that no one ever bothered to fix.
In order to change a FAT or NTFS formatted drive for use with OS X you will need to do the following:
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
If you have an Intel Mac and can partition the drive using GUID then you can have FAT32 and OS X partitions on the same drive.
As for problems with the Help viewer see:
In most cases doing the following will restore the Help Viewer:
1. Trash the following three files, if extant:
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.help.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpui.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist
2. Trash the /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui folder.
3. Empty the Trash and Restart.

I think I phrased my question incorrectly. I did know how to sync the ipod...or at least i was able to figure that portion out. What is happening is that Itunes says that my book was recently added however, I don't see it on my device. I've checked under artists and all the other categories because others have told me that often audiobooks don't actually get into the audiobook genre but can be found on the device in other categories. No dice for me! Now I'm reading in the forum that the extension may be prohibiting me from seeing it. Someone has script for it but only for MACS...need one for PC to change the extension. I think ITunes *****. I moved from Zune for my husband because he listens to audiobooks and Zune wasn't keeping up but it sure was a lot easier and user friendly!! Know anything about changing extensions on Windows 7 64 bit? Or on XP which my husband is still running? -

You can install up to 6 GBs of RAM. You have two RAM slots so you could max out the machine by installing one 2 GB module and one 4 GB module. The largest supported module is 4 GBs, but you could use only one. Best memory performance would be attained by installing two 2 GB modules to provide 4 GBs of RAM. Installing two matching modules implements dual-channel memory that will provide a small increase in memory speed.
Sorry for my memory: Good places for RAM are OWC and DataMem. You do not have to use Hynix RAM. Any RAM will be fine as long as it meets the computer's requirements which are outlined in the section of your use manual for adding memory. -

Can anyone recommend a duplicate file finder application for OS10.6 systems? All the apps I find on the App Store are only for 10.7 and later. I have downloaded the 30 day free trial using Adobe Download Assistant but I do not know how to open it and start using it.
This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

You don't have to take her off your account exactly: she needs to sign out from your account on her computers and devices. Then she can obtain an Apple ID at http://appleid.apple.com and use it to sign into System Preferences or Settings>iCloud.
However, there are some issue about this. If she has been syncing her calendars and contacts to your account then the data will disappear from her devices, but remain on your account. Individual calendars can be exported as .ics files and reimported into her account, but if she has her contacts mixed up with yours she will have to enter them individually in the new account (or export yours, import them into hers, and delete the ones she doesn't want.
More intractable is the email issue. She cannot move an address from your account to hers, so if she has been using a alias on your account to have her own address she cannot transfer it. She will have to create a new email address.
