hi
Document Splitting Characteristic
Definition
Account assignment object for which document splitting can be performed.
Use
A document splitting characteristic generally corresponds to a field in the data structure of your ledger. Clearing lines are created using this field during document splitting.
If you have not maintained the document splitting characteristic in one of your ledgers, the split values are then not updated in the general ledger.
You can define document splitting characteristics for the general ledger as relevant for the balance sheet. To do this, you set the Zero Balance Setting indicator for the characteristic. In this case, the system ensures that those characteristics produce a balance of zero in each document by creating clearing lines. You can then create (partial) balance sheets on these characteristics.
For more information, see Making Settings for Document Splitting and Passive Document Splitting.
Structure
Document splitting characteristics are classified as follows:
·       Characteristics that are relevant for General Ledger Accounting
·       Additional characteristics that are relevant for Controlling (or other application components)
You define document splitting characteristics and their handling in the Implementation Guide for Financial Accounting (New) under General Ledger Accounting (New) ® Business Transactions ® Document Splitting ®
·       Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger Accounting
·       Define Document Splitting Characteristics for Controlling
Integration
You define the data structure of your ledger and the selection of a document splitting characteristic in one of the following ways:
·       You assign a scenario to the ledger.
·       You define a customer field and assign this to the ledger.
For more information, see Making Settings for Ledgers.
Example
Examples of document splitting characteristics:
·       Profit center
·       Segment
·       Business area
·       Customer field
Document splitting
Document splitting allows you to display documents using a differentiated representation. In the representation, line items are split according to selected dimensions. In this way, you can draw up complete financial statements for the selected dimensions at any time.
Using the document splitting procedure, you can also create a segmented display of a (partial) balance sheet according to a set of legal requirements (for example, IAS) or according to areas of responsibility.
In addition, you can allocate at the time of posting additional costs (such as realized or valuated exchange rate differences) to the CO account assignment objects to which the costs relate. Assets can also be subsequently capitalized at the time of posting.

  • Purchase order no not getting displayed in FBL3N for doucment type RE

    Dear all,
We have done a settings in FBL3N t.code. We have added BSEG-EBELN in the special fields and saved the layout. The purpose is to make the purchase order number to display when we are executing line item display for GR/IR clearing and Cenvat clearing gl account. Purchase order number is correctly getting displayed in Gr/ir clearing account. But in cenvat clearing gl account the transactions that are related to doucment type SA(that is J1IEX transaction), the purchase order number is getting displayed, but in the transactions that are related to document type RE(MIRO transactions), the purcahse order number is not getting displayed.
We have checked the BSEG table for the gl account. The purchase order number is not getting updated for the MIRO transactions in the cenvat clearing gl account.
Please suggest us so that the above issue can be solved.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anand

    Hi,
Could you please add field BSEG-EBELN as a special field in FBL3N (from menu path Settings -> Special fields). Then, select the Purchase order field again from "Change Layout" (Ctrl+F8). Now this field is available for display variants, it has the technical name 1-U_EBELN and the description 'Purchase Document'. The other field has the same description but as technical name
'1-EBELN'. When you create a display variant be aware that you select 1-U_EBELN and not 1-EBELN.
Please also refer to note 215798.

  • I have a 27" imac (intel) my hard drive failed and I installed a new one. This is my first time dealing with this so I am having trouble re-installing the OS. Install disc spits out and ? mark with folder appears what am I missing?

Like the title says. My 1 TB drive failed and unfortunately my computer isn't covered on the replacement program even though my hard drive is the one they are claiming to replace. So that is not a solution just to get that out of the way. So I replaced the hard drive. What I am having trouble with is re-installing my OS. I have 10.6. When I load it and restart it just spits it out and I get the question mark folder. What am I doing wrong is there a step I'm missing? I did do a back up to my Time Machine before the crash. Can I plug it into it and reload format? I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

Well, let's hope that nothing was jiggled out of place when you were installing the new hard drive. Your optical drive may just be out of alignment or the disc you have is "dirty." Get a lint-free cloth and some rubbing alcohol, then clean the disc as thoroughly as you can starting from the center and working outward in a concentric circlular motion. See if that helps. In particular clean the inner portion well.
If this does not help, then you have a problem. You have opened the computer yourself. That action voids all support from Apple. If you take the computer in for service the store may refuse to service the computer. This is not related to your now expired warranty.

You can try a commercial lens cleaner.  They are sold everywhere for little expense.

  • IDVD spits out my disc and stops

Help please. My iDVD will prepare, process menus, process slideshows, then process movies...just like it should. BUT, when it gets to the burn part. It spits out the disc and basically freezes there. I have been working with iDVD for over 5 years and have never had this problem, it has only happened (once) since I got my MacBook in July 2006. I am not sure if it is a problem with my MacBook, or if it is a problem with the Verbatim discs that I got to go with my external DL DVD burner. Please help...please?

Might get a few more replies and possible solutions if you start your own post. That way folks are more likely to reply to your own situation and it will likely draw the attention it deserves.
Nevertheless, the media of choice on iDVD6 forums is Verbatim followed by Maxell DVD-R. Either perform well in most macs. Use the search feature on this forum and you'll find Memorex as the least desireable choice due to higher than expected burn failure rates. This comes from experience.
A good third choice is FujiFilm DVD-R as well as Taiyo Yuden DVD Media or even RiData/Ritech DVD-R Dual Layer medias ....
    Hope this helps. Good luck!

  • My HP PSC 2175 printer spits out blank paper while I try to print.

I have Windows XP service pack 3. My printer(HP PSC 2175 All-in-one) use to work well until few days before. I leave the printer unused for few days and now when I came back to use it , it simply picks up paper scans( a ledger like light runs to and fro at the top end of paper) and spits the paper out. This  only happens when I try to print. I can still make black copies well from the same machine. I only have Note pad and Word Pad. It does the same with both. I tried with pdf document too. It still persists its problem. But if I open the Hp service tool box through printing preference and print the test page it prints.
I have tried every thing that I can do. I've repalced the new cartiage, uninstalled the existing driver softer and installed new from hp website. Updated them and what not.
Can you tell me what is wrong with my printer? pls.

    Hi,
It looks like you've tried some of the troubleshooting steps listed in this document, but there are a few more to try first.  Click on the + besides the XP section and follow the steps in order.  See if this helps, if it doesn't I'll look for some more.

  • HT1365 Hi can anyone help with this issue regarding my wireless magic mouse? When im on google chrome and scrolling down the page i always have youtube running in the background but the audio cuts/spits/pops can anyone help me with this?

Hi can anyone help with this issue regarding my wireless magic mouse? When im on google chrome and scrolling down the page i always have youtube running in the background but the audio cuts/spits/pops can anyone help me with this?

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet.  Are you still using the same wireless router.  The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace.  For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio.   I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

  • I can't burn a dvd using any method, Idvd tells me that my super drive is missing, dvd studio pro quits when i click burn and disk utility keeps spitting the disk out when i click burn and enter the disk??? how do i repair my superdrive for imac

I can't burn a dvd using any method, idvd tells me that my super drive is missing, dvd studio pro quits when i click burn and disk utility keeps spitting the disk out when I click burn and enter the disk??? how do i repair my superdrive for imac, or how do I do whatever I need to do to get it working: I have already tried using a lens cleaning cd and also restored my nvram or something i forget what it was called but i restarted my computer holding down  command+optoion+p+r and still nothing???
Free solutions are the best, although if I have to pay I will, I would prefer to not have to buy an external burner if possible and already know that is an option so please don't give me that answer... thank you for any help you can give

Unless your iMac is still covered by AppleCare, get an external DVD burner.
You can get perfectly good ones from Amazon for less than $40.

  • My imac spits out the Cd-r and I can't burn a disc

My iMac spits out the CD-R and I can't burn a disc

    Hello deneye2112,
Thank you for providing the details of the burning issue you are experiencing.  I found some resources that I think might help:
First, I recommend resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac (I wasn't sure if you had a removable battery or a built in battery, so I listed the steps for both):
Resetting the SMC on Mac portables with a battery you can remove
Note: Learn about removing the battery on MacBook and MacBook Pro.
    Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
    Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your ownNote: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
You can find the full article here:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

If you are still having trouble with burning after that step, I recommend reviewing the section titled "Top troubleshooting tips" in the following article:

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.
    Best,

  • How can I make Use of PS and Ai (offer) in spite of running Windows Vista ?

How can I make Use of PS and Ai (offer) in spite of running Windows Vista ?

Once you have signed up, you could - in theory - choose "other version" under the icon on the CC website and install CS6, but I'm not sure if that works for this special offer or only for "full" CC. Anyway, it seems simple enough to upgrade to Win 7 or Win 8 and perhaps you were planning on starting fresh, anyway...

  • HP Laserjet 2600xi new drivers prints garbage spits out blanks

A friend called me about this problem and all I knew to do was to get the latest drivers and install them after removing all traces of old HP software. They're using an eMac with OS 10.4.11. The problem may have a simple solution. When they send a file to print, at first there is a page of 'garbage' printed followed by the printer just 'spitting out' blank sheets until they turn it off.
Any ideas to try? It could be a corrupt spool folder I suppose but don't know where to look for the file.
    Thanks

Thanks, Greg. You are right that the 2600xi is Photosmart rather than Laserjet. I was just passing on the info given me by the owner who is frankly clueless. He asked my advice because I'm somewhat more experienced. I don't know how the rpinter was added to the Print & Fax pref pane.
As far as using the HP drivers I've gotten them to install new ones and had them look to see if the printer was recognized in the Printer Setup Utility.app. It was and that's the last time I talked to them. I may have to go and make a house call. Thanks for your information and advice. I'll get back with any update.

I want to upgrade my 2007 Mac desktop to 10.5 Leopard. I am currently running on 10.4.11. When I put the leopard disk into the drive all it does is make a weird noise and then spits the disk right back out. It doesn't do this with any other discs, only this software. Is it still possible to update this computer?

    Yes. Try Amazon.
Before you do upgrade to Snow Leopard, make sure your Mac meets the requirements.
Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard - Technical Specifications
Make sure the disc you tried using doesn't have any fingerprints or smudges on it. The optical drive can't read the disk otherwise.
If your Mac won't read the disc, might be a good idea to rule out any problems with the startup disk BEFORE trying to upgrade the system.

  • Dvd drive making noises and spitting out dvd

I don't know what's going on but whenever I put in a dvd the dvd drive makes a lot of noise which doesn't sound good, and sometimes it spits out the dvd or shuts the dvd program down and then my computer freezes on a black screen and i have to shut down my computer by turning it off. =(
This computer is about 8 months old and I don't think there should be any issues from my end. I have never dropped it or spilled anything on it. I unfortunatley never bought teh apple care....i know dumb! but nonetheless it's not bought. Does anyone know how or what i can do to resolve this issue besides not playing a dvd? Thanks any advice helps!

It sounds as if there's a mechanical failure with your SuperDrive. Since you're still under warranty, I would take the machine into an Apple Store or an AASP and have them diagnose and fix the problem.
    Good luck,
    Clinton
