Spliting the periods in md61

Hi
we have the option of spliting the periods in to months weeks or days in md 61.
but my client plans his requirements in a period of four weeks ie slightly less than a  month.
in which place in img do i create a new  new period as month which is equal to 4 weeks and.
and i want to split my year in to 13 periods for my planing.

Hi,
   Just check up your requireemnt by creating planing calendar in MD25 by choosing Months as the calculation rule and assigning the same in the MRP-2 view of the material master.

    I am having one requirment that my client need to auto delete the md61 screen entries , Suppose the requirement is maintained for 1000 the planned order will also generated for 1000 qty if stock is not available , then the production is done only for 500 quantities. On the next MRP run the system is considering again the past month 1000 quantities .
    How we can restrict this? If suppose the balace 500 quantities also the user dont want to produce . Then how can we delete automatically .

    You can delete the old PIRs when the new month begins through batch job for MD74/MD75/MD76.
    Other way is to define a period of adjustment for the MRP Group in transaction OMPG and assign the MRP group to your material. Please refer F1 help there
    Adjusting in the past, that is the period of adjustment is calculated backwards - the system starts from today's date and calculates backwards by the number of days specified. Thus, planned independent requirements that lie before the date calculated by the system are not included in the planning run.

  • SSRS 2008 Column Chart with Calculated Series (moving average) "formula error - there are not enough data points for the period" error

    I have a simple column chart grouping on 1 value on the category axis.  For simplicity's sake, we are plotting $ amounts grouping by Month on the category axis.  I right click on the data series and choose "Add calculated series...".  I choose moving average.  I want to move the average over at least 2 periods.
    When I run the report, I get the error "Formula error - there are not enough data points for the period".  The way the report is, I never have a guaranteed number of categories (there could be one or there could be 5).  When there is 2 or more, the chart renders fine, however, when there is only 1 value, instead of suppressing the moving average line, I get that error and the chart shows nothing.
    I don't think this is entirely acceptable for our end users.  At a minimum, I would think the moving average line would be suppressed instead of hiding the entire chart.  Does anyone know of any workarounds or do I have to enter another ms. connect bug/design consideration.

    I was having the same error while trying to plot a moving average across 7 days. The work around I found was rather simple.
    If you right click your report in the solution explorer and select "View Code" it will give you the underlying XML of the report. Find the entry for the value of your calculated series and enter a formula to dynamically create your periods.

    What I'm doing here is getting the row count of records returned in the chart. If the returned rows are greater than or equal to 7 (The amount of days I want the average) it will set the points to 7. If not, it will set the number to the amount of returned rows. So far this has worked great. I'm probably going to add more code to handle no records returned although in my case that shouldn't happen but, you never know.
    A side note:
    If you open the calculated series properties in the designer, you will notice the number of periods is set to "0". If you change this it will overwrite your custom formula in the XML.

    Please go to PA30 select the IT0007 and go for overview
    check the start date of the records, check if there is data  for the mentioned period in the error?
    if not maintain it .
    from which date the employees payroll is going to start?

    Adding to the above reply, when the asset is sold in the mid period, during such sale process, based on the period control, depreciation till the date will be computed by the system and adjusted.

  • E613 SYST: You cannot determine the period for rule 03

    Dear All,
    We are configuring asset module and using MSTL dep key for Tax books. When we tried to create an asset with MSTL dep key, we encountered error - 'E613 SYST: You cannot determine the period for rule 03'. when verified config OAVH Define Calender Assignments transaction,  Period control '03' is missing for fiscal year variant K4. Period control is exisiting  in Maintain Period Control and but not in Define Calender Assignment. What I understand these period controls are being delivered by SAP. Not sure why period control '03' is missing.  all other period control keys are available.
    question is how to add period control 03 so that we can use MSTL dep key. we are currently using 4.7c. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    If I follow SAP help to define period control '03', then I just need to copy period control '01' which is listed above and select 'Mid Month' check box.
    Wondering anyone did this in the past. MSTL depreciation key is being used in MACRS tax for US. I am sure people who  have implemented assets module for US with tax dep, they might have encountered this issue.

    This question has been already answered in this forum......
    Deatiled process is:
    1. Lock all users out of PRD
    2. Take snapshot of MB5L for all materials at company code for current and previous periods
    3. Add User parameter MMPI_READ_NOTE with value = current date in this format YYYYMMDD
    4. Stop all processing that updates inventory values
    5. Run t-code MMPI with correct period
    6. Run Z_DEl_HIST_ENTRIES program
    7. Take MB5L snapshot for all materials at company code fs01 for current and previous periods
    8. Validate that values match on MB5L pre-post snapshots or are appropriate.
    9. Unlock all users in PRD
    10. Remove User parameter MMPI_READ_NOTE from user ID

              I have Problem in <b><u>MB1C</u></b>, as Posting Period Problem .
              Give me Solution.

    Check the transactions :
    MMRV : For this transaction, enter the company code. The t-code would give you information as to the period in which the posting can happen. Also, one can set if posting is to be allowed in the previous period.
    MMPV: For this transaction, enter the company code and the period/year or the current date. The transaction would close the previous period and open the period with the current date. Though in case the period to be closed is older than one month, the subsequent periods need to be closed before the period with current date can be open.
    Example: Say the last period open is 01st Oct 2006, the current date is 29th Jan 2007 and the period for the company is set as months. The steps to be followed are as follow:
    1. close the period for the month of Nov.
    2. Close the period for the month of Dec
    3. lastly,  open the period for the month of Jan 2007.

    1) I am facing one problem that one of my asset 123 I Capitalized on 13.09.2006 have deactivated on
    14.05.2008. with value of Rs.1.00.000/- all the activities are closed down related it on deactivation date.
    In 2009 a new asset 456 purchased with different value. But in T.code OARP in column cumulative acquisition
    value it is showing value of Asset 123 instead of it's own capitalization value.
    2 ) And about my Asset 123 it is also showing a Cumulative Acquisition value in year 2009 which it
    should not display because I have already deactivated that asset. ( The same checked in AR03 )

  • Changing the period in Reversed payment document

    Dear All,
    I badly need your help. I have reversed one Payment document in wrong period. Now Payment document is in period 09 while reversal document is in period 10.
    Is there any way to undo this reversal or else change the period in the reversed document?
    Here I need one suggestion as well. What will be the implication of this in period end closing activity?The payment document is closed and refering to reverse document as well.
    What I know is for period closing system checks for only open items.
    Please suggest on this.

    Even If I go to F-02 and do manual entry for period 09. Then my f-02 document will have status as open, In this case in month end closing this open item will create problem.
    Can I cancel or delete the wrongly reversed document any ways in SAP?

  • A/R, A/P and MM for the periods

    Dear All,
    I closed all periods for A/P, A/R and MM for July 2009 so no-one could post to them. However, because the GL was still open for June, July and August, it allowed others to post to A/R; A/P; MM. When closing the periods we have to leave the GL open for month-end closing Journal Entries. How do we keep others from posting to what we believe were closed periods?
    Please clarify me.

    I have a similar situation and I use views to restrict access depends on the users. I filter columns, the usersnever see the table (all columns) only the columns defined in the view

  • Automatic Posting of All Open GR/IR A/c at the period end

    Dear Experts,
    We have a requirement for IT Act Provision.
    1. All Open Credit Purchase documents(for which MIRO has not been done) to be automatically transferred to a A/c called Current Liability & Provision(Clearing Account) on the last date of the period(Month end)
    On the first day of next period all such open credit purchase documents line items to be created in GR/IR Account against which users can do MIRO when invoice is received.
    2. All open Debit GR/IR line items to transferred to Advance A/c (Clearing A/c) on the last date of the month and again to reversed line item wise to GR/IR account.
    What is the settings to be done please advise.

    I want GR/IR credit to be transferred to some Clearing A/c
    then I shall put GR/IR GL code under Recon A/c
    and                 Clearing A/c GL code under Traget A/c
    What shall I put under Adjustment A/c

    According to your description, you are using Analysis Services as a data source for the report, the cube has hierarchy: Fyear, FQuarter, FPeriod, fweek, Fdate. You want to add a date parameter to the report, after you changed value of the parameter, the
    report will return the first day of FPeriod.
    To achieve your goal, we need to add a parameter to the report, then use the parameter in mdx query. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
    In the Report Data pane, right-click on a dataset created from a SQL Server Analysis Services data source type, and then click Query. The MDX query designer opens in Design mode.
    On the toolbar, click Design to toggle to Query mode.
    On the MDX query designer toolbar, click Query Parameters symbol. The Query Parameters dialog box opens.
    In the Parameter column, click <Enter Parameter>, and then type the name of a parameter.
    In the Dimension column, choose a value from the drop-down list.
    In the Hierarchy column, choose a value from the drop-down list.
    In the Default column, from the drop-down list, select a single value.

    I have period prompt in my report, based on the period prompt selection in my report I need to get the start and end dates of the period and apply in the report filter.
    For e.g. Period Name selected in the prompt is "2010 - Q1" (For this Period, Period Start Date = 01/01/2010 and Period End Date is 30/03/2010, which is not going to be displayed in the prompts).
    How can I get the start and end dates of the period into my report filter. I tried using the presentation variable for the period name, but unable to resolve the requirement.

    Hi Rajesh,
    Create a report A which will give you the period start date and end date and filter it using the period prompt.
    Then filter the main report using the report A start date and end date, using Filter -> Advanced ->Filter based on results of another request .
    Add the report A in separate section on the dashboard along with main report and hide report A section.
