Sporadic invalid values obtained from FlexRIO card

Hello,
I'm having trouble acquiring data from my FlexRIO (PXIe-7962R + NI-5734). I'm writing custom code instead of using FIDL building blocks, because the FIDL requires a master-slave design for synchronized triggering, while I require every FlexRIO card to be able to fire the trigger.
Anyway, here is a small test case (I tried with both a 40 MHz clock and a 10 MHz clock, with the same outcomes):
FPGA
Host
While most of the output looks ok (i.e. the waveforms look like the input signals), I get many bursts of corrupted samples. I often get spikes that equal the max/min value of I16, although there are cases of non-max spikes too.
Interestingly:
Each FlexRIO card seems to have exactly 1 misbehaving channel.
The channel varies across cards (e.g. RIO1 gets spikes in AI0, while RIO2 gets spikes in AI3)
When I repeatedly trigger acquisition on the same card, I see a very similar "noise shape" each time. Different cards produce different "noise shapes".
I don't observe any spikes when I use the pre-built FIDL examples instead of my own code (perhaps I need to do some kind of synchronization??)
Screenshots below.
The orange graphs are supposed to be all zeroes.
The green graph is supposed to show a clean sine wave.
What might the problem be, and how can I fix it?
Thanks!

You need to acquire data from the 5734 in the Sample Clock domain. Reading from the AI Node in any other clock domain causes the glitching you are seeing.

  • How to convert U32 value obtained from color control of front panel to float(SGL) for use with IMAQ Draw ?.

I am trying to get user color inputs from front panel and use it in IMAQ Draw. I need to draw an oval of a certain color in a background of another color. Both these color values are user input. The problem is IMAQ Draw requires SGL color value and the color controls of front panel give U32. I have tried conversion VI's which hasn't worked. HELP !!!

    Jake,
I think the color control can be wired directly to the input, but I am not positive. I don't know of any color conversions that would help.
Make sure your image is a color image. You can't draw colors on a grayscale image.
You might want to consider using overlays, which appear on top of the image but are not part of the image.

  • Printing Oracle Reports with values obtained from file using IO

    Hi All,
We have decided to change the report writer tool from Brio SQR to Oracle Reports 6i. The design using Brio SQR was such that we used to populate all the values to be printed in a text file and then we use to populate the values in the BRIO reports using this file as an input.
We don't want to make many changes to the design at this stage. Can anybody suggest how can we use the text file as input to populate the different fields in the Oracle Reports.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Miliand
Text Datasoucre is a Reports 9i feature. You can get the information on the feature overview at

  • Calling report from FORM - error Invalid value of paramente 'P_YEAR'

    Hi guys,
Could you please help me to figure out what is going wrong
with my form which run a report?
I am using Developer suite 10g.
when i run report from report application it run fine,
but when i call that report from a form it gives me error.
I have checked the datatype, checked the parameter value
that I assign from form is available in the report parameter value.
What else do i have to check in order to run this report
    from the form.
Error Message from Report Queue Manager:

    Your insight will be appreciated.

I purchased photoshop elements 8 on line in 2010. I recently switched to a new desktop computer. Photoshop asked for my serial number. I entered the correct serial number (obtained from Adobe). It says it is invalid. How do I get this corrected so I can use the product I purchased?

    Hi Rosera,
This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

  • Passing "Value Objects" from one JSP to next  (2)

Someone posted a response from BEA which has since disappeared, it was no different
from what I was doing and it I still can't get it to store the information in
              the Value Object.
I get values (true/false) from a Radio button on a FORM in a JSP, press a "Next
              Step" Button.
I have a "Value Object" in JSP_1, which I use the setters to store various information
obtained from the <FORM>. I then "jsp:forward" to JSP_2, set different information
and then I "jsp:forward" to JSP_3 & so on. At the end of the JSP chain only the
last setter is has the value "true", all the other values are false, despite all
              being "set" to "true".
The "Value Object" is not storing the information set in previous JSPs. When I
              initially create the "value object" I use;
              <jsp:useBean id="myVO" class="uk.co.notify.valueobjects.MyVO" scope="request"
              />
              <jsp:setProperty name="myVO" property="*"/>
In JSP_2 JSP999 I don't use <jsp:setProperty> I let the setter in the VO do
              it.
I am using WebLogic 6.1 sp2 under Windows 2K Pro.
              Any pointers. Thanks.
              [att1.html]

    Ok. here's the difference.
Hitting submit is altogether a different "new" http request. It will send a
new request from your browser to the server. Whereas, the jsp:forward is
              within the server itself.
So the VO object whose scope is set to "request" will not retain its values
              between 2 http request.
For such kind of parameter passing, you could very well store the info. in
              user's session object.
              I hope this helps.

  • [Forum FAQ] How to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table?

    Introduction
In SQL Server Reporting Services, we can define a mapping between the fields that are returned in the query to specific delivery options and to report parameters in a data-driven subscription.
For a report with a parameter (such as YEAR) that allow multiple values, when creating a data-driven subscription, how can we pass a record like below to show correct data (data for year 2012, 2013 and 2014).
    EmailAddress                             Parameter
    Comment
    [email protected]              2012,2013,2014               NULL
In this article, I will demonstrate how to configure a Data Driven Subscription which get multi-value parameters from one column of a database table
    Workaround
Generally, if we pass the “Parameter” column to report directly in the step 5 when creating data-driven subscription.
The value “2012,2013,2014” will be regarded as a single value, Reporting Services will use “2012,2013,2014” to filter data. However, there are no any records that YEAR filed equal to “2012,2013,2014”, and we will get an error when the subscription executed
    on the log. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles)
Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.InvalidReportParameterException: Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Name' is not a valid value.
This means that there is no such a value on parameter’s available value list, this is an invalid parameter value. If we change the parameter records like below.
    EmailAddress                        Parameter             Comment
    [email protected]         2012                     NULL
    [email protected]         2013                     NULL
    [email protected]         2014                     NULL
In this case, Reporting Services will generate 3 reports for one data-driven subscription. Each report for only one year which cannot fit the requirement obviously.
Currently, there is no a solution to solve this issue. The workaround for it is that create two report, one is used for view report for end users, another one is used for create data-driven subscription.
On the report that used create data-driven subscription, uncheck “Allow multiple values” option for the parameter, do not specify and available values and default values for this parameter. Then change the Filter
    From
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :[@ParameterName]
    To
    Expression:[ParameterName]
    Operator   :In
    Value         :Split(Parameters!ParameterName.Value,",")
In this case, we can specify a value like "2012,2013,2014" from database to the data-driven subscription.
    Applies to
    Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012

For every Auftrag, there are multiple Position entries.
Rest of the blocks don't seems to have any relation.
So you can check this code to see how internal table lt_str is built whose first 3 fields have data contained in Auftrag, and next 3 fields have Position data. The structure is flat, assuming that every Position record is related to preceding Auftrag.
    Try out this snippet.
DATA lt_data TYPE TABLE OF string.
    DATA lv_data TYPE string.

DATA: lt_str TYPE TABLE OF ty_str,
          ls_str TYPE ty_str,
          lv_block TYPE string,

  • REP-2103: PL/SQL formula returned invalid value or no value

    Hi all,
Before clone the report GEPS FA Prepare Mass Addition Report runs fine. But after cloned from production, it shows error:
    Enter Password:
REP-0004: Warning: Unable to open user preference file.
REP-2103: Column 'G_MASS_ADDITION_INVOICE' : PL/SQL formula returned invalid value or no value.
    REP-0069: Internal error
    REP-57054: In-process job terminated:Terminated with error:
REP-2103: Column 'G_MASS_ADDITION_INVOICE' : PL/SQL formula returned invalid value or no value.
Actually I didn't have such column 'G_MASS_ADDITION_INVOICE'. This is a group name. I tried a lot, such as widden the formula column width or delete the formula column, but it still show this error. I didn't have any trigger or other formula column. Even I create a new report use the same name with a single query( select sysdate from dual), but it still shows the same error.
Is there anyone faced this issue before or can help me ? Thanks

  • Setting default value read from user session, for an LOV in Query component

I want to set the default value of a field in VO that participates in a named view criteria and thereby in Query component. That field is configured with an LOV by mean of a view accessor. The values are Y and N and the corresponding display strings obtained from view accessor are true and false respectively.
I am able to set the default value by setting the value of the criteria item corresponding to that field in view criteria. I am setting the value as either Y or N and I am able to corresponding display string as per the view accessor, on the query component when it is rendered.
I want to read the defauilt value from the ADF BC user session and set it as default value. I tried setting the values as "adf.userSession.userData.usageFlag". Iam ensuring that the attribute usageFlag is set before the view activity that has the query component is invoked. But this is ending up showing no default value in the Query component when rendered.
Can any one let me know how to go about with this?

I made up your table since you didn't provide some example, but I'm sure this will give you the picture:
    SQL> var run_type varchar2(1)
    SQL> exec :run_type := 'A'
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
SQL> create table my_cycles as select level cycle_id

    Table created.
    SQL> select cycle_id

      4           when :run_type = 'D' and cycle_status  = 1 then 1
      5           when :run_type != 'D' and cycle_status  in ( 2, 3 ) then 1
      6         end = 1;
      CYCLE_ID

  • Invalid value for parameter error when value is in list of allowed parameters

I have some documents with a lot of paragraph styles that have been organized into groups. I have a simple script that is meant to ungroup these styles and delete the now-empty groups.
    Code:
    #target indesign
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    if (myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.length > 0)
        myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.everyItem().paragraphStyles.everyItem().move(LocationOptions.AT_END, myDoc);
        myDoc.paragraphStyleGroups.everyItem().remove();
    alert("Done")
The error I receive is (emphasis mine):

Error String: Invalid value for parameter 'reference' of method 'move'. Expected ParagraphStyle, ParagraphStyleGroup, CharacterStyle, CharacterStyleGroup, CellStyle, CellStyleGroup, TableStyle, TableStyleGroup, Document or Application, but received Document.
As you can see, my pickle is that my value is of an allowed type. This only happens in some documents, and there's nothing that obviously distinguishes those documents from the ones in which it works.
One thing I've noticed is that the error sometimes takes a while to appear (a minute or so), but none of the styles have been moved once I click OK. So, I don't know if it's specific to one style. I doubt it, only because other documents with the same style set work.
Can anyone shed any light on what this error could mean in this context? I definitely have an activeDocument, so what could cause a Document to not be a Document?
    Any help much appreciated!

    Hi,
It occurs when 2 or more styles have the same name, probably.

  • How to get intimation about DAQmx Physical Channel invalid value encounter

Can anybody tell me that if a DAQmx Control gets value from a configuration file( .ini file ) and the value is invalid (does not exist in the available physical channels list) than how I can be programatically intimated. I couldn't find any property node of DAQmx Physical channel Control which tells about that the current value feeded to the control is invalid.

Thanks Alan, I have got a better soloution from you in another thread launched by me with title "How to get "Browse list of any DAQmx control in array form". In which u suggested of using DAQmx 8.0, which I have downloaded and used the property node DAQmx-Device>>DO.Lines to get an array of all Physical channels(DO category) of all devices. The value taken from that configuration file is searched in Physical channels array and if no match found than the value is invalid.

  • Ipad 3 won't read photos from sd card

Tried both inserting card into camera connection and using cable connection from camera.  Neither work.

    Hello there, Debbyresq.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great recommendations and additional information on using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit with your device:
iPad: Using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4101
    Improving performance
For best results and performance, see these guidelines:
Connect the iPad Camera Connector or SD Card Reader directly to the iPad and digital camera.
iPad Camera Connector only supports digital cameras and some USB audio/MIDI devices. Learn about using the iPad Camera Connector with unsupported USB devices.
If your device isn't recognized, verify that it's configured correctly. See the user manual for your device for more information.
Certain devices may be recognized only when used with a powered USB hub.
Here are the supported SD cards and image-transfer protocols:
    Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP)
    Mass Storage Device protocol
    SDSC
    SDHC
    miniSD
    microSD
    MMC
    SDXC
If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, you may need to use both modes to import all media content. If some files don't import as expected using one mode, try switching to the other mode and importing again.
Some cameras may refer to PTP as Pictbridge or PTP/Pictbridge.
If you see a message that the "Attached volume appears to be invalid," make sure the SD card or digital media in the camera is correctly formatted.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

  • Need help in clearing an invalid value entered in an inputLOV popup.

    Hi
I am using the JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.1.0
Our application uses the Springs Framework with ADF. We used an af:inputListOfValues component coupled with a disabled af:inputText component to make it like a name-value pair. As soon as you enter a valid value in the inputLOV component and tab out, the description corresponding to it will be populated(partial trigger) in the disabled inputText component. There is an inputListOfValues model object in our backing bean which feeds the list of values to choose from.
When we enter an invalid value in the lov and tab out, the popup with all the possible values comes up, which is correct and expected. Now, when the user clicks on "Cancel" in the popup, we are supposed to clear the invalid value entered in the lov component. We tried all possible approaches known to use including AOP(Aspect Oriented Programming) to intercept the call when the user clicks on the "Cancel" button but we just could not make it work.
Does anyone know if a way to clear the entered value upon clicking cancel?
Please let me know if more details are required about our implementation to answer my question.
    Thanks,
    Manoj

when ever the Schema is updated the table should not get affected.. Is there a way to solve my problem.. If you change the XML schema associated with the table, then old data won't be valid anymore : how do you want to deal with that?
Besides, you chose to create the table with Object-Relational storage, you have to understand how it works.
When you register the schema with genTypes = true, Oracle creates a set of object types that map the XML structure to SQL.
In this case, old data will not only be invalid but also won't fit in the new structure.
Do you just need a table for storing valid XML documents according to the current schema?
If that is so, maybe unstructured CLOB storage is best suited here, with a trigger to validate new rows inserted.
    See this thread for an overview of schema validation : {thread:id=416458}
And of course, Oracle documentation :

  • DRG-10705: invalid value 149 for attribute TYPE_ID

When doing a call to the procedure ctx_report.index_stats on one of my index, I get a DRG-1075 and the procedure fails. I don't think it is data related because I can reproduce the error on multiple databases with different datasets. It is specific to the index I am analyzing though, I don't have the error on another domain index. A rebuild did not help.
There is nothing in metalink or elsewhere about that error, I don't really understand it.
If someone has a clue, it is welcome

Thanks a lot for the answer, I have been under pression because of deadlines but I'll focus on this problem next week.
We have a serious performance issue with a text index on a XMType column (the index is very big one, 14G). The only way to get decent performance is to pin the DR$ I table in memory, but I had a bad surprise : when one do a ctx_ddl.optimize_index with rebuild the index becomes much bigger (from 14G to 18G) and so it does not fit in the keep cache anymore. A rebuild or a drop/create put back the index to the original size. I suspect that some storage options are changed but could not understand which. I'll do a test case and post it on this forum.
That's why I wanted the ctx_report.analyze_index but it fails (even when the base table is truncated, so you might be right, there could be a leftover from a previous index). I'll set-up a test case with a freshly created database.
The product manager, Richard Ford, wrote a white paper about putting the index in the keep cache, it makes a very big difference for us. But I think it should be adapted to the Oracle 12c case (with separate offset and BIG_IO for example).
I'll post the test case asap, thanks already for pointing me to the right direction.
