Sql for selected Workbook Folder Items

Hi,
Have come across a lot of excellent sql for finding workbook to folder items and many thanks to the various authors for those. However, what i am trying to get is the selected items within a workbook that is saved to the database. Using the code that I mentioned earlier, I see a workbook in the DB, the Business Areas and the folders. However, i see ALL the items in the folder. I am interested in seeing only those items that have been chosen.....
I would also settle for some good doco on the eul5_xxxxxxxxx tables that are created detailing their functions, some are obvious - other less so...

As you may well be aware I am the author of the Oracle Discoverer 10g Handbook. In Appendix A of that book you will find many scripts for querying the EUL along with explanations for how some of the EUL is put together. If you don't have a copy you should consider getting one. Many companies get one for each of their administrators and report writers.
The particular issue you refer to here is not covered in the book, simply because there is no easy mechanism to see the SQL used inside a workbook. Workbooks are stored in a table called EUL5_WORKBOOKS as binary objects which means you cannot query their content.
If you have the gathering of query statistics enabled then each time a worksheet is executed a log of that is stored inside the table called EUL5_QPP_STATS. The following code will allow you to examine the folders and items that have been used in previously executed worksheets.

As you can see, this code returns worksheets that use 20 or fewer items. You can easily alter this. Further, you may want to restrict this by searching for worksheets that have been run from a certain date using TRUNC(QS.QS_CREATED_DATE), or for a certain workbook using QS.QS_DOC_NAME, or for a certain user using QS.QS_DOC_OWNER. Sometimes you will see QS.QS_DOC_OWNER blank. This means the worksheet has been shared with someone else and was just executed without the user saving it.
By the way, if you want to query this inside of Discoverer you will have to import the two functions that this uses: EUL5_GET_ITEM and EUL5_GET_ITEM_NAME. They are both owned by the EUL owner.

    Please help me with the below code:
    It is updating null if the select statment returns one values. If it fetches multiple values then it throughs the below error msg when running the program.

  • View the generated sql for fetching a repository item

    Hi guys.
    I am interested in viewing the sql that ATG framework generates to fetch a primary repository item. I would like to use this generated sql, directly on the database and avoid me the pain of having to join multiple tables to get one repository item, basically looking to avoid having to write complex sql queries to fetch information for a repository item as ATG application would view it.
    I know there is a switch somewhere to turn it on, but an example would be great. Thanks!

    Make the following corrections.Your code will work fine.
    By the statement- 'itab LIKE TABLE OF cond .' you meant to create a table of the type 'COND' which should be a structure.
    So, here lies the problem.In your case COND is a char type variable and you are trying to mimic the table 'itab' from it.
    As a rule of thumb,a table should mimic a std., table or a structure.
    So remove the following lines:
    data : cond(72) TYPE C,
    itab LIKE TABLE OF cond .
    Include the following lines:
    type: begin og itab_record,
            cond(72) TYPE C,
            end of itab_record."Declaration of structure itab_record.
    data: itab type standard table of itab_record initial size 0 with header line."Declaration of the table itab which mimics the       structure itab_record.
    Modify these two statements,
    cond = 'auart IN p_auart' .
    APPEND cond To itab.
    to
    itab_record-cond = 'auart IN p_auart' .
    append itab_record.
    Other lines are exact,make these changes,execute it and seek my assistance if necessary.

    One Solution for offloading home folder items in Mavericks with a small SSD
    Like others I wanted to use my SSD as the boot disk because of the speed gain and at the same time knew that its 120 GB capacity would not accommodate my basic 10.9.1 installation AND my 93 GB folder of documents.
    Two other factors lead me to seek a solution: 1) When I updated from Mountain Lion to Mavericks my computer became extremely sluggish. 2) I was desperate to find a way to access the hundreds of documents and drawings that I had made in AppleWorks over a period of many years, all of which could not be opened in Mavericks (or Lion or Mountain Lion).
    Solution to the second problem was LibreOffice to be found at libreoffice.org. This opensource application is one of the greatest finds in my 30 years of using a Macintosh. So far, I have been able to open every AppleWorks document tried. How it is that Apple with its billions in the bank cannot offer such an application with similar features is beyond my understanding. Don’t forget to support them with a donation.
    Solution to problem number one was to back up my one-volume, 1 TB internal hard disk and to erase and reformat the disk using three partitions (volumes). On partition one I installed 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), on partition two I installed 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion) and I left partition three blank for any future experiment that might be needed. Although I much prefer to have a single internal hard disk matched by a single external hard disk, I finally concluded that this would be best for now. While I plan to learn LibreOffice, I have thousands of hours working with AppleWorks and can, if necessary, create a drawing in that application without spending a lot of time learning a new feature. Also, keep in mind that a person may resize the volumes on a single disk by using Disk Utility.
    Redirecting the user folder is not as easy in Mavericks as it was in Mountain Lion and I did not trust myself to use the Terminal. So I experimented and quickly discovered what appears to be a work-around.
    First of all, keep in mind that your home folder contains seven folders, i.e, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures and Public. For myself, the Desktop and Public folders are never a problem. In using xScan I can instantly view the usage of all my disks and volumes and do not allow Downloads to accumulate. Movies I save to a designated external disk. All my music is accessed by iTunes and I believe that you may move the iTunes library to another volume, then link to it as I will explain in a moment regarding the Document folder. All pictures are maintained in iPhoto and you may link to the appropriate folder and/or file in the same way as iTunes. That leaves me with my 93 GB folder of documents.
    I solved this problem simply by opening (⌘-O) a window for both the 10.8.5 volume and the SSD disk. See below:
    I then located and clicked on my Documents folder in the 10.8.5 volume and dragged it to the Sidebar of the SSD window. Now when I create a document and want to save it to my Documents Folder, I simply locate the Documents Folder on my 10.8.5 volume in the Save As window. When I wish to work on that particular document again in the future I can do so in one of several ways: 1) If the application is open I can to to File → Open Recent, or I can simply click on the Documents icon in the sidebar of the SSD and I have the view set so that I can quickly view those documents opened by Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, Previous 30 days, etc.
    Folders within the Documents Folder, such as Correspondence, can be dragged to the SSD Sidebar in the same manner.
    Keep in mind that the side bar for the SSD drive with Mavericks will display a Documents icon that look like two sheets of paper rather than a folder. If having two documents icons confuses you, simply remove the Mavericks Document icon.
    Caution: After arranging the above, do NOT eject the volume containing your Documents Folder because that will break your link and you will have to repeat the procedure. If having numerous icons on your desktop bothers you, simply click on the Desktop and go to the Finder Menu and uncheck External disks.
    Erasing a disk and arranging a computer as I did requires a lot of time. Also, keep in mind that I did NOT transfer any preference files because I feared that my problems may have been caused by one or more corrupted preference files. So, remember to have a printout of your passwords and the serial numbers before starting. I can only say that I went from a very slow computer to a lightning fast computer.
    Admittedly, I may encounter some problem(s) that I have not yet encountered — and I would appreciate any feedback — but so far everything is working like a champ!
    I will state that this will probably be the last update that I make on this 27-inch, Mid 2010 iMac. While updates have always proved to have problems, I am not happy with the new Mavericks interface. In my opinion, Apple made a big mistake in firing Scott Forstall. And as you know, a FREE OS may — and did for me — require costly updates.
    Any feedback to my suggested solution will be appreciated.

    I haven't worked on New GL concept but I am trying to learn it myself. Till now I have linked the Controlling area with New GL. But I don't know how to "define rules for selection of reconciliation posting"

    Go to FS00 and input the GL 400019. Check the Tab "Create/bank/interest.
    Take the Field Status group and go to OBC4. Examle- G052
    Click on the same Field Status group and double click on Asset accounting.
    Asset retirement ...........................Required
    Asset number / subnumber...........Optional
    Now go to T Code OB41
    Double click on Posting key 15
    Click on "Maintain field status" from application tol bar. Double click on Asset accounting.
    Asset retirement ...........................Optional
    Asset number / subnumber...........Optional

  • Public Folder Item Age Limits

    Hello,
    I am looking for information on how to configure item retention for public folders/public folder mailboxes in Exchange 2013.
    I have migrated the public folder hierarchy successfully from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.
    The public folder item retention used to be managed on a per folder basis using the "(LocalReplicaAgeLimit) Age limit for replicas days" parameter in Exchange 2010, and I found this worked quite well in removing items that had passed the configured
    expiry threshold.
    The folders that needed a different age limit setting were exempted from inheriting the public folder database defaults, and granted a specific value.
    These settings have not been carried over during the migration however, so now all public folders are inheriting the organization defaults for retention - which is $null.
    Now that the public folder hierarchy is on Exchange 2013 and is mailbox based, what is the recommended method for granular public folder item retention.
    I see that each folder the following settings can be configured Limits > Age Limits: Age limit for folder content (days) which looks like the setting I would need to configure, however, the technet text surrounding this parameter states:
    Cmdlet: Set-PublicFolder
    Parameter: AgeLimit
    The AgeLimit parameter
    specifies the overall age limit on the folder. Replicas of this public folder are automatically deleted when the age limit is exceeded.

    Does this mean the folder gets deleted once the limit has been reached - or just the items within?
    Now that public folders are mailbox based, what effect (if any) do retention tags/policies have on public folder mailboxes
    - can item retention be managed this way?

    The AgeLimit parameter in Set-PublicFolder cmdlet is based on folder level.
    The AgeLimit parameter in Set-Mailbox cmdlet is based on mailbox level.

  • Error while executing a sql query for select

    HI All,
    ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace PSTEMP i'm getting this error while i'm executing the sql query for selecting the data.

    I am having 44GB of temp space, while executing the below query my temp space is getting full, Expert please let us know how the issue can be resolved..
    1. I dont want to increase the temp space

  • TS3276 how does one select a folder for an outgoing email, prior to sending out that email?

    I would like to know what I need to do to select a folder for my outgoing emails before I send them. In other words, if I am sending a message to someone, Outlook has the option to select the folder where you would like to save the outgoing email to. That way, you are able to document all of your important outgoing emails. I was wondering if Apple mail had the same option. I know you can set rules up, the challenge is that the rules do not always apply depending on the email messages.

    For a very big sales order ..lets say having 700 line items ...is there any convenient way to create the delivery for selected items ..e.g. 30-40 line items rather going and selecting the line items then doing the item availability.
    do you have any LSMW format by which we can do the item availability for selected items and directly create the delivery.

    Hi ,
    There is no stand way of doing it . You need to take help of abaper to do this :
    1. Create a t code where if you give sale order number , it displays a report with all the items with a check box near to it as we see in SE16 .
    2. This report could be best in ALV form where users can do "ctr+f" and search only the required materials then select those lines and press a button on the top of report .
    3. Once the button is pressed , program will run vL01n ( create delv in backgrnd) in a BDC form . At time of delev creating , the bdc program in backgrnd uses only those items which were selected by user and not the other items .
    4. Program will create a delv using a BDC in background and return the delv number for user to view tht.
    U can also try using FM : RV_DELIVERY_CREATE to create delv in backgrnd after user selection if BDC is getting tricky.
    Hopefully ,this shuld work and will be a easy process for the customers.

    The function module KD_GET_FILENAME_ON_F4 can be used for selecting a file from the front end.
    Similar way, I need to select a folder name (not specific file in it) through F4 help on to a parameter entry on the selection screen.
    Anyone can help me with the relevant fn module or method.

    Using ABAP Objects suits better to ur requirement.
    The class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES should be used. In that a default method is there which shall give u list of directories.

    I have been trying several different solution for this issue I have, but could not ,make it work. Hopefully, any of you can give me some ideas.
    Initially the scenario seems to be easy.
    I have a Web template were I show a query analysis item with costcenter, plan/act type, user and entry date. I allow single record selection in this item.
    I have a button that should execute a planning function from the plannig modeler.
    The planning function should be executed only for the costcenter and plan/act type which are selected in the analysis item.
    How do I have to link the two objects :analysis item and planning function, so that the planning function is executed with the correct filter? What should be the filter definition (if any expecific things to consider)?.

    Is there any other way to do it?
    More in detail, I am implementing a Lock/Unlock mechanissim for planning costcenters. I have a n ODS where I store my costcenetr status(lock or unlock) and I also have a cube where the planning values are stored.
    My query(to select the costcenter to unlock) is done from the ODS, and my planning function is done in an aggreagation level of my cube (this is to lock the costcenter in cube, to avoid incorredct updates while it is unlocked/locked).
    The issue that I have is that I can not find a way to send the selected information from the query to the planning function.
    I hope you have more ideas.
