SQL Generation problem in Web Intelligence - works in Deski not in Webi

One of my departments has the need to extend the categorization of their loan products (we're a bank).   The current loan categories are defined by a large CASE statement.  Example:

Now they want to create a set of sub-categories from this existing category definition and so they built another object in the universe called "SLR Sub-Categories" and it's SQL code looks like this:

The problem arises when they try and use this new sub-category object in a webi report, it throws and error.  Upon inspection of the SQL code we see that it is not properly embedding the SQL from the definition of the "SLR Categories" object.  Instead of the SQL it is putting in a "233" code.  Here is an example of the SQL generated by Webi:

when ?233='Commercial Mini/Term' and dbo.RPT_TRIAL_BALANCE.SRC_PROD_CD in ('078','079') Then 'SBA 504'
when ?233='Commercial Construction' and dbo.RPT_TRIAL_BALANCE.SRC_PROD_CD in ('001','004') Then 'Other'
when ?233='Commercial Construction' and dbo.RPT_TRIAL_BALANCE.SRC_PROD_CD in ('075') Then 'SBA 7A'
when ?233='Commercial Construction' and dbo.RPT_TRIAL_BALANCE.SRC_PROD_CD in ('069','076') Then 'SBA 504'
Notice the "?233", that is the point where Webi should be inserting the code for the "SLR Categories" object, but instead it throws in a weird ?233 code.  Note that the "?" actually appears as a carriage return square box character code in the Webi view SQL window.  When I add these objects to a Deski report, Deski will generate the proper SQL and run the report perfectly.
So, my questions are:
- Has anyone else run into this before?  Note that we are running XIR2 SP4, FP 4.4.
- Are we hitting some limit of the amount of generated SQL that Webi can handle?

Hi Gokul,
My problem is when I logon to InfoView to view the report with the SSO user, I can view data for all business area, this is wrong. It shoud show me for some specific business areas which I assigned in BW Authorization for this SSO user.
