Sql in report 6i

Question

Hello!
I have two tables, tableA and tableB, see below
tableA
id value
A051 100
A052 101
tableB
id value2
A051 1234
and I have this sql statement in my reports (reports 6i):
select NVL(a.id,a.id),NVL(a.value,a.value),NVL(b.value2,'***')
from tableA a, tableB b
where a.id IN ('A051','A052')
and a.id = b.id
I like to have this output:
id value value2
A051 100 1234
A052 101 ***
but I do not retrieve anything, can someone please explain why?

Please try the following:
SELECT a.id, a.value, NVL(b.value,'***')
FROM tableA a, tableB b
WHERE a.id = b.id(+);
