在$ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/help/目录下的helpus.sql包含了这个表的帮助主题
helpbld.sql
helpdrop.sql
helpus.sql
hlpbld.sql
SQL>conn system/systempwd;
SQL>@?/sqlplus/admin/help/helpbld.sql
F:\developer\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\sqlplus\admin\help
F:\developer\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\sqlplus\admin\help\help.sql
SQL> select count(*) from system.help ;
COUNT(*)
5085
SQL> help create database;
引用:
CREATE DATABASE
Use this command to create a database, making it available for
general use, with the following options:
* to establish a maximum number of instances, data files, redo
log files groups, or redo log file members
* to specify names and sizes of data files and redo log files
* to choose a mode of use for the redo log
* to specify the national and database character sets
Warning: This command prepares a database for initial use and erases
any data currently in the specified files. Only use this command
when you understand its ramifications.

Reports. Can anyone suggest me where will be the best place to
get help on this. Any suggestions will be appriciated.
Thanks
SamHi Sam..
I'm also quite new in field of Oracle Reports, I have already
had experience in Oracle Database Server. I think you may refer
to the Oracle Reports help coming with your s/w, that's good for
first understanding. Then.. I just find out that this forum is
also helpful with many nice and "willing to help" people.
Well... wish you all the best and go ahead with your new job!!

Pl-Sql Oracle Function Concurrency Issue
Hi All,
Issue - pl-sql Oracle Function performance issue, when muliple users are accessing the function
Detail -
Oracle 11g / Linux Server
I have developed a pl-sql oracle function to retrieve information from 3 tables, output as a particluar type array.
Single request is getting processed within 2.2 seconds, but when multiple request are sent concurrently <tested with 50>, time taken for each output is different.
BreakUp of Response times:-
8 messages took - 2.2 sec
+8 messages took - 4.4 sec
++8 messages took - 6.6 sec....etc
I'm looking for any DB tunning parameter, which will help to resolve this issue.
My only aim is to expose developed function to multiple users, who all can access it concurrently, but response should limit within 2.2 seconds.
Any thoughts + guidance is higly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks.Hi Clayton,
Are you using the ICO object or the classic configuration (SA, RD, ID, RA)?, with the ICO object the ID test doesn't work.
For the test, are you generating the right sender XML payload?, have you set the receiver fields in the ID test? (Configuring the Sender JDBC Adapter - Configuring the JDBC Adapter in the Integration Directory/PCK - SAP Library)
Personally, i usually test the JDBC sender scenario directly, setting up the channel; but i dont see any reason because the ID test with a classical configuration wouldn't work.

SQL*PLUS Help
=============
1. help
% cd $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/help
2. SYSTEM user 로 SQL*Plus 에 Login 한다.
% sqlplus system/<password>
SQL> @helptbl
% sqlldr system/manager control=plushelp.ctl
% sqlldr system/manager control=sqlhelp.ctl
% sqlldr system/manager control=plshelp.ctl
5. SYSTEM user 로 SQL*Plus 에 Login 한다.
"helpindx.sql" script 를 수행한다.
SQL> @helpindx
% cd $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/help
% sqlplus system/<password>
SQLPLUS>helpbld.sql
SQLPLUS>helpus.sqlI personally don't like SQL Developer or TOAD, though perhaps I'm in a minority. I agree completely. Toad does a lot of things but many of are ill thought out, the most obvious is the default feature of displaying a result time after fetching the first screen of rows. This alone has led to hundreds of posting along the lines of, I have this query that returns 12 billion rows. In a stored procedure it takes days, but it completes in 12 milliseconds in TOAD?
The last I looked SQL Developer had that typical Java sluggishness on a Windows box, and I am still not interested in whether that is a Windows or Java problem. I just know that if I have to use Windows I tend to choose applications that are not written in Java if possible.
It also was unable to connect using OS authenticated accounts which effectively ruled it out as anything other than a toy as our development environment mandates it. I believe there may be a workaround, but there are always hints of waving a rubber chicken at it and frankly why bother at this stage.
PL/SQL Developer is by far the best. -
Hello Gurus,
I am new to Oracle Text so i need your valuable inputs in resolving an issue i am facing.
Here is the table definition and sample data:
create table test ( a varchar2(100));
insert into test values('Hello How are you');
insert into test values('Just to say you Hello');
insert into test values('I know you');
insert into test values('you know');
insert into test values('you may not know me');
insert into test values('do i know you');
SQL> SELECT * FROM test;

Hello How are you
Just to say you Hello
I know you
you know
you may not know me
do i know you

If user enters search criteria ('you know', for example); i need to return all the records having 'you' AND 'know' anywhere. Hence for search criteria 'you know', i should get following records:
I know you
you know
you may not know me
do i know you
Similarly, i need to return below records for criteria 'hello you':
Hello How are you
Just to say you Hello
Can Oracle Text help me here?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Can i Use two qery hints in one SQL(Oracle)?
Hi,
Can i Use two Query hints in one SQL(Oracle)? USE_HASH and No_Merge
Thanksuser10916886 wrote:
Can I use like
/*+ USE_HASH(X,Y) NO_MERGE(X) */
will this work?Not really: NO_MERGE relates to mergeable views, not base tables. So whilst the USE_HASH may result in a hash join between the tables X and Y, USE_MERGE will be ignored for X.
As hoek says, however, HINTs should be a last resort only, and if they're to be used at all you're best to stay with those that don't involve explicit objects, like ALL_ROWS, FIRST_ROWS_10, etc.
user10916886 wrote:
Im my database, if i don't use query hints. The expalin plan uses Nested loops, hence the query takes a lot of time.You would be better trying the ALL_ROWS hint here, instead of USE_HASH.
Edit
The optimizer, however, will have chosen NESTED LOOPs where it did because it believed that to be the most efficient data retrieval path with the information that it had to hand. So, if your statistics are comprehensive and up-to-date, yet the optimizer is continually opting for the less efficient plan, there's something else wrong, and HINTs are only masking that problem in the short-term. -
hi all,
<dynamic > = SELECT matnr FROM mara .

can i use dynamic native sql in open sql-oracle .
cheers
senthilEXEC SQL doesn't allow for dynamic constructs. In order to get native SQL features dynamically you can use the JDBC-like classes CL_SQL_STATEMENT, CL_SQL_CONNECTION, and so on.

How to create scheduler sql oracle developer
Hi
how to create How to create scheduler sql oracle developer?Hi
finally i refer below link its usefull
ORACLE-BASE - SQL Developer 3.1 Scheduler (DBMS_SCHEDULER) Support -
We have an Oracle 9i Database Standard Edition that is in production for about 3 years running on Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition. Our company does not have Oracle DBA. When we purchased Oracle license we didn’t sign up for Oracle Support.
If something goes wrong with Oracle Database, if we could not figure out the solution on our own, is there any company that provides Oracle DBA help on a contract basis?
What happens if we get internal errors in the database? Can we still contact Oracle Support?
Please advice.#1. When you purchased Oracle Licenses, I guess Oracle would have provided (Support Identifier or CSI numbers), with that you should be able to create accounts/access with METALINK, which is one form of support Oracle provides. 99.99% of the day-to-day problems are resolved via metalink, oracle forms (like this) and other discussion threads.
#2. But if you want Oracle personnel onsite, then it needs a different contract or support level, which is very expensive in my opinion. There used to be different support levels like platinum, gold, silver etc., I'm not sure of the classification now, better contact Oracle for additional info.
I would highly recommend for #1, check the cost involved in #2 compare that with that of hiring a part-time/remote DBA, and see which one works better. If your database is not mission critical, configuring proper back and restore would help bring your database up, but with some downtime.
Hope it helps,
Babu Rangasamy
