Sql statement substituion - any special rules for formatting the query?

Hey,
I was wondering - are there any special rules for formatting the query that is to be substituted?
I am asking, as somehow I am unable to make the DSP substitute my query. I took the basesql from the server console (to make sure that I have the correct version), configured a query substitution, and well, nothing happens.
I've tried to substitute it with a modified version of the original query (where NVL(,0) is changed to NVL(,-9999)), then also with select * from dual (which I hope would generate some error), but DSP is ignoring everything...
The query is rather big (400 lines), so maybe I need to format it somehow? I've noticed that in the docs (http://edocs.bea.com/aldsp/docs25/admin/server.html#wp1049919) that the query used in the example has all leading spaces removed. I've tried that, but DSP is still not doing any substitution...
Any suggestions welcomed...

I am doing everything as in edocs, retrieving from logs the basesql (so with place holders). I've removed all new lines (so the query is now in a single line) and all excessive blanks (so all double/more blanks replaced with a single blank). Still the DSP is like ignoring the substitution. I've tried to do it even with a simple query, like:

am I missing something here? do I need to remove/add something , to make it work?
I've tried removing blanks around = signs (which from the DSP pov results in a different query), sitll with no results.

A Plug_in normally come with an installer or install instructions. Check the documentation for the plug-in you trying to install. It sounds like you don't know what plug-ins you want to install. In that case you don't need to install any. At some point you may read about a plug-in and what it can do and feel you have a need for it. Then you will have a reason to install a plug-in that is not installed by default. There may also be a cost involved most worthwhile plug-ins are not free.
Adobe Optional Plug_ins downloads are Plugins Adobe want to remove from Photoshop and no longer install by default. Also at some point in time these will no longer install into the current Photoshop for Adobe will remove feature or interfaces the use. For example the CS5 optional plugins will install in Windows CS6 perpetual version 13.0.1.3 but not in Subscription version 13.1.2 or perpetual Mac version 13.0.6 fot its 64bit only and the Mac CS5 optional plug-in for Picture package is only a 32bit plug-in.

Garnishment - Special Rule for Non-Exempt Amount

There is calculation scheme for each special rule for non-exempt amount. For example federal rule for support is 04. The calculation scheme for this rule has 2 lines with operation multiplication and subtraction; and operand F1 and DN. Can someone explain to me what each line means and the cumulative effect of both the lines?

Line 1 = F1 * DN i.e. Field 1 from infotype (IT0195 field 1 for fed exempt as per table T5UGA config) is multiplied by Disposable Net (wage type /G00) and stores result in R1 (intermediate result field)
Line 2 = DN - R1 i.e. subtract intermediate result stored from line 1 in R1 field from Disposable Net (/G00 wage type) to output result as minimum limit defined for nonexempt amount.
You can verify same in UGARN CALC (Garnishment Calculations section) in schema.

I'm getting the above error when trying to execute a custom lookup. What I'm trying to do is lookup the minimum promotional price between date ranges. The SQL executes fine in SSMS

If I take off the MIN function and just put * SSIS is quite happy, it does not like MIN for some reason?

After I edited the SQL in a dataset, I can't use the query builder in any datasets that I create.

Is there a way to reset BI Publisher Enterprise 11 so that I can use the query builder again instead of having to write out all of the SQL? I know that I can't use the query builder for the dataset that I edited the sql in but I would like to use the query builder for new datasets.

Kontext rule for formatting only the first child section in a chapter

Hi all, I have run into a DITA problem. Each chapter of the document, i.e. top-level topic, contains a miniature toc of the nested sections. Therefore the first child topic's title should receive a page break.
I tried this context rule for the title element, below you find the screenshot which I have tried to translate because the EDD is in German. Even though I define that the context should be the first parent topic only, the result is that every second-level topic now has a page break. Any ideas?
8. Count ancestors: topic
    concept
    task
    reference
    If level is: 2
      8.1 If context is: (topic{first} | concept{first} | task{first} | reference{first})
            ..then set page break.

First, regardless of the UI language, you can import element definitions from an EDD using any of the language templates. Second, you can change the template that FM uses when it creates new EDDs (from the commands that in English are labeled StructureTools > New EDD and StructureTools > Export Element Catalog as EDD). Simply copy the desired template to $FMHOME\fminit\fmstruct\elemcat where $FMHOME is the directory in which FrameMaker is installed. I recommend backing up the original first.
You can create an English EDD template from any English EDD simply by deleting all its content.
By the way, you can modify the EDD template by changing its formatting rules, master pages, and so forth. I haven't yet done so for FM 11, but see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909395 for information on various changes I've made to the English EDD templates for previous versions.

i am confused about the use of these two keywords "IS" and "AS".It seems to me they are used randomly anywhere in procedure,package or triggers etc..
Is there any rule for there usages , or only way is to remember the actual syntax whenever they are used ?

They are generally interchangeable, so you can use whichever you choose.
In the English language we say that "some object IS" and "do an action AS" so, for example...
in a package if we define a type it reads better as:
TYPE mytype IS TABLE OF NUMBER;because we are saying that this type called mytype IS a table of numbers.
but if we were to create the type on the database we would use e.g.
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE mytype AS RECORD (x number, y number);because we are saying that we are creating (action) a type called mytype AS a record.
Just a slight difference in grammatical meaning, but Oracle isn't bothered if you choose to use the other one in most cases.

The separations preview is just what it implies - an overview of the inks used in the doc, based on the assumption that the document is going to be printed at some point using a standard process. It doesn't matter, whether the objects are invisible, non-printable or what else. AI has no concept of these things. And you can't print anything without any kind of ink, can you? I really don't see why you think it's a problem.

ARQ: Does LDAP User Search action require any special authorization for requester???

I was wondering if requester need to be given any special authorization to search users in LDAP?
Because, I have noticed that a requester can not search users from LDAP. However, another user who is a super user in GRC system and has SAP_ALL profile assigned, can search users from LDAP easily!
I have noticed only this change between these two users and not sure what authorizations should be granted to requester to search users from LDAP. I have tried to search relevant auth. object in his role "SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUESTER" but could not find. I also check security guide for this but did not get any details.
Can anyone advise?

I switched on trace using ST01 for one of the requesters and viewed its details later. I found RC=4 or 12 for some of the auth. objects.
For example:
I opened of of the records and could see above details. I am unable to interpret it further. Can you please assist in this?

Need SQL statement to generate a sequence number in the output rows

Hi folks. I need to create an SQL statement that generates a sequence number column in the output rows (records) such that the first returned row has this column set to 1, second returned row has the column set to 2, etc.
For example, consider the query:
SELECT income from employees WHERE income != 20000 ORDER BY income;
If employees.income contains 60,000, 20,000, 35,000, and 19,000 for respective rows, the output would be this:
19,000
35,000
60,000
I would like the SQL to also return a sequence number that is computed across the returned rows, resulting in two output columns:
1 19,000
2 35,000
3 60,000
Is there a simple SQL function that generates the sequence number, in order, and only for the returned rows? Or is there another way?
I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

SQL statement that includes LEFT & RIGHT JOIN in the same statement??? Help

How an I write an SQL statement with a GROUP BY that will both (a) include the NULL value from the left hand table, but also (b) include ALL columns from the right hand table. It's like I need a LEFT JOIN and a RIGHT JOIN in the query at the same time.
Here's an example of the 2 tables I have and the result I'm after. As you can see I want the NULL's from Expenses Table summed, as well as include all categories from the right hand table (i.e. even if there are no expenses against them)
Table = Expenses
Amount Category
$10 1
$20 2
$30 1
$40 NULL {i.e. not yet categorised}
Table = Categories
