SRM 7.0 Box - BW Reports

Gurus ,
not sure if any one has worked on the SRM 7.0 box.If you go to SPRO -->Supplier Relationship Management->Analytics
they have lots of BW reporting templates available there.
On the help it says that we can configure the BW templates from SRM 7.0 box directly giving logical destination.
My question is if the cubes and reports are in BW ,why has SAP given that option ?does it make sense doing RFC connection for running reports from BW

inorder to get to know the GAPs... first try to install the business content objects and extract the data and also activate the business content reports and present a demo to client...and ask them to test the reports.
Once they test the reports they will come up with the GAPS(missing fields )later you can come up with the plan.
try to get the data base table from which they want to extract the data and from these tables you can find the data sources which exist in Business content.
By giving presentation with the business content you can show to the client till what extent they can rely on the business content.

  • File download dialog box -running report

    I am calling one report from my Oracle 9i Developer Suite Application. When i call one report using 'delimited' format, the run runs okay opening in a new Internet Explorer(IE) instance. But, when i call another report, the File download dialog box -running report opens which asks whether u want to open the file or save it in your computer. I hope, my doubt is clear.Please help me in this as it is very urgent.

    In the basic list we will display the Check box, once the check box is clicked then the recrod information should be displayed in the secondary list. so we will give the Check box for every reocrd then what ever we select the checkboxes. then we shoild provide the info of those records

  • Edit BOXI Webintelligence Report on Mac Problem

    Can I edit a BOXI webintelligence report on a Mac with Safari? Running Mac OS X 10.6.8. I have the Apple provided Java 1.6 update 29. I seem to be able to get into the application just fine with the browser, but when I go to edit a report it says I have a missing plug-in. It is not specific about what that plug-in is. Does anyone have reporting editing working with Mac? if so, how?

    What you are experiencing is a known issue that was introduced with Safari 5 which is not supported in the version you have.
    If I am correct you are using XI31 SP1, to have the maximum level of Safari browser supportability you should please upgrade to SP5 ,   Better to do a full install of SP3 and then upgrade to SP5.
    Please do follow best practices in planning the upgrade.

  • Multiple Selection List Box-- Data Reporting Problem...

    I want to build a form which reports all of the multiple selections made by users from a list box. When I test the form, only the first selection is reported in the dataset. How do I configure the form so that when data is compiled, each of the selections from the list box is reported in sequence?

    Here is the solution for the requirement.
    Add another 2 columns in the resource list: test1 (set default value to 1), test2 (no default value).
    Set test1 to 1 for all existing items in the resource list.
    Set test2 to 2 for the 10 special items.
    Custom form from InfoPath Designer, modify the data connection and also include the test1 and test2.
    Go to drop down control properties and make sure its value is 1 and 2.
     Go add the filter to multiple selection box control like this.
    Note: field1 is the field used by my drop down control in Main data connection.
        7.    Done. Now when we select test1 in drop down, we can see all list items in multiple selection box. And when we select test2 in drop down, we can see the 10 list items that with test2 column filled with 2.

  • Grid or light box type report in SSRS 2012

    Hi I am trying to create a grid report like a light box type display in SSRS. I want to display images horizontally across the report and then down. I am using VS 2013. I understand from my searching that this can be done using a matrix control and grouping
    using an expression to limit the number of cells displayed across the page (in my case 3) and this works partly. I get a display where my images are off set like below:

    data data data
    I can't work out how to have each row of images progress down the page so that I see each row of three starting from the left and not off set like this:

    According to your description, you want to display values in a matrix from left to right and each row align to left, right?
    In Reporting Services, values in matrix cells display aggregate values scoped to the intersection of the row and column groups to which the cell belongs. If there is no corresponding value for each intersection, it’s possible that the matrix will display
    like the first structure you mentioned. In your scenario, if you want to display as the second structure, you could embed the matrix in a list. Please refer to steps below:
    1. Query  the table except the null values, then create a list and a matrix, then drag the matrix into the list, and delete the first row of the matrix.
    2. The final design should look like below. Then preview the report.

  • Disable check box in report

    Hi All,
    I have created check box in a report using APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX
    select apex_item.checkbox(1, emp_id) , emp_id,ename,manager,skills,salary,services from employee
    In employee table each employee would have 2 records one is for Engineering and another for Research services.
    If the user selects one of the records using the check box ,lets say engineering service for emp_id 100, corresponding Research service record for the employee 100 should be disabled( or the check box in the Research service record should be disabled) and on the other hand it should be enabled when the user unselects it.
    Please help me to resolve this.

  • Check box displaying reports

    hello
    I have some issues with a multi-choices check box. I use it to display a report using a combination of parameters correspondins to the checked items.
    Here are choices:
    DUNS
    SIC CODE
    Industry
    Sub Industry
    Total
    But When I want to display a report using DUNS, SIC CODE and INDUSTRY for instance, I get to see the report using SIC CODE/DUNS, the one using DUNS/INDUSTRY, the one using SIC CODE/INDUSTRY and finally the one I want using SIC/DUNS/industry. I use a conditionnal display :
    Text in Expression 1 Is Contained in Value of Item in Expression 2
    expression 2= P1_ANALYSE (the checkbox)
    expression 1= 1:2:3
    I want to display the report only if its exact parameters are checked and not other. I understand that the conditionnal display I use may not do that, so I tried
    select from dual
    where P1_ANALYSE=1
    and P1_ANALYSE=2
    and P1_ANALYSE=3
    also select "P1_ANALYSE equals 1" and...
    Doesn't work either.
    so if someone could help me that would be great :)

    We can use in alv output icons and check boxes
             ICON(1)        TYPE C,        " as icon
             SYMBOL(1)      TYPE C,        " as symbol
             CHECKBOX(1)    TYPE C,        " as checkbox
    in field catolog we can use these fields and you have to assign like remaing fields how you are using like that only.  If you know Icon function code or symbol you put there,  I think it may works.

  • Hide/show text boxes in report header

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to implement a request to have a tablix header frozen in excel. So, I'm placing it in the report header as text boxes. However, there are two different tablixes (a one per page) with two different headings. I'm trying to place those two headings
    into two rectangles in the report header hiding and showing a one of it based on the Page No. It works but only for the first tablix heading as it's shown on the first page and hidden on the second page. But, the second tablix heading is not shown on the second
    page for some reason. It's probably due to the Page No rendering is  going later than the text boxes  appearances on the second page or something else causing it. 
    I did try to use the Global Page No in if visibility statement for those two rectangles, trying to get Page No through a function, using it as a parameter,  but nothing is making the second rectangle to show on the second page report header.
    Please, help with how it could be done.

    Per my understanding that you have put the textbox in the page header to display the table head instead of in the tablix thus you will got the frozen head when export to excel, you have two table header, so you need to add two rectangle to display both in
    two different page, now the issue is the second page header didn't display, right?
    I have testted on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue can be caused by when you move the rectangle2 on the position of the rectangle1 then the rectangle becomes the child of rectangle1 but not the child of page header thus you will
    not shown the rectangle2.
    Please check the details information below to see if you have got the rectangle2 inside the rectangle1 like below:
    if so, please move the rectangle2 one time and check to make sure you got the "Page Header" in the parent section of both rectangle:
    Please also make sure you have use below expression to show/hide the rectangle:
    rectangle1:
    =iif(Globals!PageNumber=1,false,true)
    rectangle2:
    =iif(Globals!PageNumber=2,false,true)

  • Use check box for report and form

    Hi Expert,
    I try to use check box to select multiple rows in a report and then click on a button to go to a form on another page to choose some values from the form and then do a mass update for records selected in reports.
    I read the "How to Work with Check Boxes" in 2 Day Developer guide, it works fine to select mutiple rows in report and do update with process in that report page.
    However, if I click on a button to go to another page which contains a form, seems the values stored in the package array are cleared and not passed to that page.
    Do you know how I could make this work?

    I am also in ECC6.0 & if i see the definition of the BAdI BADI_TAX1_XTXIT_SET, "Multiple Use" checkbox is checked! What are you trying to do - trying to create an implementation?
    @Prabhu: Although the BAdI is "multiple-use", but there is not filter applied to it. Next time do your checks properly before replying
