SRM Ehp1 CPPR Functionality

Dear All,
Please let me knwo the advanytages of CPPR in SRM 7.0.
Also, if am using CPPR doe this mean am not using plan driven procurement and hence have not to make any changes in the SRM org structure like creation of RFC channels etc,,,
pls advise.

hi,
CPPR is an alternative for sending ERP PRs to SRM where buyers can manually distribute the PRs. you don't have to use this if you want to transfer PRs automatically. use ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST BAdI to automatically transfer PRs to SRM.
this is just an enhanced feature of plan driven procurement. the PI connection user should be integrated in the org structure, which is also considered as the creator of the shopping cart.

Hi Kaan,
CPPR should not have any impact of standard functionality available in SAP SRM. CPPR is a way by a purchaser to send requirements from ECC backend system to centralized SRM purchasing system manually for sourcing. You can continue to avail the standard bidding functionality available in SAP SRM if the requirements are sent through CPPR functionality.
For public sector procurement functionality, you need to configure extended classic scenario for the requirements from CPPR.

SRM 7.0 EHP1 - new functions for BRF workflows

Hi all,
We currently upgraded our SRM 5.0 system to SRM 7.0.
We need some inputs whether to activate the EHP1 for SRM 7.0
Are there any limitations in terms of BRF workflows which are now covered in SRM 7.0 EHP1?
In SRM 5.0,we were using n step header level approval workflow using the BADI and custom tables for approval determination.
We need to map the same in SRM 7.0 now but wanted to know the limitations in terms of any new functionalituies which can be used in terms of Shoppign cart workflow in SRM 7 EHP1 v/s SRM 7.0 SP10.
I read in one of the posts in the forum that parallel processing for BRF workflows is not supported in SRM 7.0 EHP1.Please advise.

We are having lot of issues with the ACW in SRM 5.0 and hence plan to reimplement the workflow in SRM 7.0 using the process controlled workflows plus the new features introduced for workflow.
Can you please advise if ACW are better than PCW or vice-versa??
I dnt have the link for the post but cans someone confirm if parallel processing is supported in SRM 7.0 EHP1 workflows??

SUS: Vendor not created in SRM with partner function 19

Hi,
I am using SRM 5.0 MM-SUS scenario. The issue is related to vendor migration from ERP and updation in SRM.
When i migrate a vendor with account group VEND from ERP then in SRM the vendor is properly created and a corresponding entry is updated in table CRMD_PARTNER. The vendor is alotted partner function 19.
However when i migrate a vendor with acount group VEIN from ERP the in SRM vendor is getting created and is updated in vendor organisation but its entry in table CRMD_PARTNER is missing.
Does this mean that only account group VEND is considered as vendor in SRM and thus assigned partner function 19 and gets a entry in mentioned table.

Vendor data is maintained in table CRMD_PARTNER only when transactional documents exist for the vendor.

Problem to update SRM EHP1 to EHP2

Hello Gurus,
we are RUMP Up Partner for SRM and we are trying to upgrade. We are using Solution Manager 7 EHP1 SP26. I check allready the SLD with LVSM and the content seems to be good for concerned system.
If we try to upgrade with mopz we can't select EHP2 only EHP1 visible. What could be wrong?

You can't update through iTunes?
Is there an error?
Do you have an internet connection?
Are you running the up to date version of iTunes?
Is your computer crashing before you can load iTunes?
Can you not download the update?
Does the download get stuck?
Does the phone say it's updated?
What version are you currently running and are you trying to update to?
So many questions and so little for us to go on....

SAP SRM 7.0 Function module to replace BBP_USER_GET_ATTRIBUTES

As the function module BBP_USER_GET_ATTRIBUTES is not available in SRM 7.0 system .Could any one please let me know if there is any other function module which will help to fetch the user attributes.

If you want to get all inherited and not inherited attributes for a user, use RH_OM_ATTRIBUTES_READ function modul.
Use import parameters :
- PLVAR = '01', (get from RH_GET_PLVAR function module)
- OTYPE = 'US',
- OBJID = username,
- SCENARIO = 'BBP'.
To know if attribute is inherited or not, check if field INHERIT from function module table ATTRIB_EXT is set or not. Nevertheless, this is true if you get attributes at position level (because user always inherits attributes from his/her position).

1. Since EP is mandatory,In case of of extended classic scenario,when I login as purchsaer,I will be able to see both the SRM Local PO and the ECC PO(replicated).To see all the changes in ECC PO,do I need to navigate in the same was as in SAPGUI or is it a completely new screen for ECC PO in EP?
2. Are the Attachments/documents from SRM PO transferred for ECC PO?
3. In Sourcing Cockpit,I need a column for "SC Approved date".Is this a configurable field /column in the Sourcing Cockpit in SRM 7.0/EP?

ANS- It will be Enterprise Portal iView having consistent display as that of an SRM PO. Structure looks to be similar to ECC PO but may not be exactly same as ECC PO SCreen

Can we call DMS Attachment Function from ECC to SRM

Hello All,
We have the below requirement.
   a) User Create the RFx(SRM) from PR(ECC) vai CPPR functionality.Now during creation we need to copy the DIR Links of PR to RFx .
b) In SRM RFx ,at item level we need to place a button called "DIR" ,when user click on the button , we need to bring the   DMS Attachment POP UP from ECC to SRM , where user can add new DIR or Delete the DIR.
           Can we do the requirement "b" ? , is there way we can call the "DMS Attachment Function" from SRM? . Kindly share your thoughts.

Dear Channa,
due to your screenshot I saw that you are still working with old object link dynpros.
To grant that allways the currenct screens and authorizations were called please maintain also the value "1" into the "Authorization" column. For further informations on this maintainance please see the attached note 1066915. It's important that you not enter the mentioned screen number wihtout the leading "1" as this number is added automatically by the system (e.g. object MARA 1201 maintain like MARA 201). You can do this in customizing under:
Transaction SPRO
> Cross-Application-Component
     > Document Management
          > Control Data
              > Define screen for object links
If you need the dynpro number or object you will find all standard SAP objects and their screen number in function module CV130 (Screens) by transaction SE80. Please maintain all necessary SAP objects.

Does SRM support Vendor Partner Functionality from ECC?

Does SRM support or sync up with Vendor Partner functions in ECC such as OA, VN, PI, etc.?
Initial look at SRM does not suggest that SAP has made it easy to replicate partner functions in SRM.

What product to use with EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 JAVA System

Hello,
I install EHP1 FOR SAP SRM 7.0 JAVA system and now I what create this system in SAP Support Portal.
What product should I select: SAP SRM or SAP Netweaver?
If I select SAP SRM, in version I don't have option to select SRM 7.0 EHP1 and no Technical usage to select.
If I select SAP Netweaver, in version I have SAP Netweaver EHP2 and I can select Technical usage "Application server java" and "EP Core" but not SRM java.
In Solution Manager I have the same problem, what products shoul I select to create this system in SMSY?
This JAVA system is not in the same network so I don't know how to synchronize system data.

SAP told us to register the license of SAP SRM in ERP installation number only and when I am creating the SRM system in ERP installation number stuck in the same situaltion as it's not giving an option for SRM EHP1 and not sure what to select for the license and what in SMSY.

SRM 7.0 without XI

Hi,
I need to implement SRM 7.0 with ECC 6.0 EhP4 as a backend. Scenarios identified in the scope are:
Self Service Procurement (Extended classic)
Service Procurement
Plan Driven procurement
Operational Contracts
SRM-MDM Catalog
For some reasons we do not have XI in the landscape. I need to identify the limitations in the above scope due to XI unavailability. My understanding is, we will not be able to leverage on below functions:
1. Services with hierarchies.
2. Central contract functionality.
3. CPPR
I am not sure about central contract limitation. If the functionality is not supported completely w/o XI or its possible to implement with limited features.
I want to reconfirm my understanding and some additional inputs in case of few more limitations.

I think you're spot on, these scenarios indeed require XI. The CCTR scenario currently also requires XI, everything E-SOA-like uses services. The SRM built-in-message broker doesn't support a-synchronous services yet therefore PI is still required however: SAP is going to release more and more pi-independent services in the future.
EHP1 for SAP SRM (due december 2010) will include PI-Independent-Services for the CPPR and CCTR scenario: [http://service.sap.com/Srm-ehp]
For services with hierarchies and SRM-MDM you'll require Xi/Pi. Services with hierarchies in the PDP scenario (CPPR) and contract (CCTR) scenario should also be fully supported as of SRM EHP1.

Access SRM documents in external archive from ERP

Dear gurus,
our system landscape is as follows:
SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4
SAP SRM 5.0
IXOS archive system
We use the archive system to store documents (pdf, doc etc.) linked to our SAP ERP documents (purchase orders etc.).
Now we would like to enable the users using SAP SRM to attach files to a shopping cart item. Those files should be stored in the IXOS archive (just like files attached to SAP ERP documents).
When SRM then creates a purchase requisition for the shopping cart, the buyer agent should be able to access the file in the archive directly from the purchase requisition.
Is there any way to do this?
We found OSS 1057932, but
1) it did not work, the document cannot be accessed in ERP and
2) obviously the archive system is not used, but the documents are stored in the SAP database instead.
Any ideas?

SRM 7.0 for two envelope bidding

Dear SRM gurus,
Am new to SRM. My client is implementing SRM 7.0 for limited tenders in which two-envelope bidding is involved.
PR, PO and all other flollow-on documents will be created in ECC 6.0.
I have activated business function SRM_Sourcing_1 and activated other RFx related config.
Kindly let me know all other config's that are required.
