Standard and actual costing run

I am doing actual coting run ckmlcp every month end on last of the month. stadard costing run I am doing on start of the month on 1st day of the month before actual transactions taking place.
Here the problem is I already did the stadard costing and actual costing runfor april, now i want to do stadard costing today midnight 1AM for june and I want to do actual costing tomarrow evening 6PM for may.
April stadard price is Rs150 and current stadard price is Rs 160 beacause of 1st june costing run. If I will do the costing for May month now means (1st)tomarrow evening which stadard price it will pick in ckmlcp and varience calculated.

as cost estimate is run for the material in plant u can not get cogs at depot level.

Cost Center wise Report

Hi,
How to display monthly expenditure related to a Cost Center. I tried the standard report but there it is showing accumulatived figure for 12 months. But I want to show monthly expenditure related to a Cost Center.
General selections:
Controlling Area - XXXX,
Fiscal Year - 2009,
Posting Period from -1 to - 12,
Cost Center - 1000
Then it should like below format.
Cost Element            APRIL       MAY     JUNE        JULY ...............   TOTAL YEAR
Stationery                10               -           50              -                                 60
Salaries                   150          125           -             225                             500
Admin Exp.              25             10            -               -                                 35
TOTAL                    185          135          50            225                            595
If we select only 2 months, then only 2 months expenditure should be display in the above format. I tried the in the report painter but if I am selecting the Period in the column then it is not coming in the General selections. If I am selecting Period under General selections then in the report it is shoing cumulative figure.
So can some one please through some light on this.

I copied the Standard Report from 1VK. Problem is, My clinet wants to select give the Transaction date in the general selection and then he want to see the same in the month wise report. For ex.
Controlling are - XXXX
Period or Date - 01.04.2009 to 31.05.2009
Cost Center - 1000 and Execute.
Then Report should be display APRIL and MAY expenditure seperatly. This is the requirement.
My problem is, if I am selecting the period in the column then I am not able to specify the same in the general selection.

Is there a way to escalate a complaint to someone ...

I live in the Bolton area with my family but I travel a lot and am currently in the USA, trying to solve this issue long distance.
One of my adult children was moving house and I was transferring the BT package I have - phone, BT Vision, broadband, international calling etc to the new apartment while maintaining a line at the main house. Or so I thought.
I've been a BT client for decades but the attitude of company reps I've had to deal with this year means I will not extend my contract beyond the current one. Not because they aren't polite enough, but because they either don't care, or can't be effective. Whatever the incentive package is it doesn't seem to allow, or encourage them, to solve problems.
I called BT to ask about how to facilitate the move and was advised to call as soon as I had a firm move-in date for my son, who is the person who most uses the BT services I currently pay for.
On March 7 I called (from America) to arrange the transfer for March 26th. But the rep couldn't trace the new address.
It must not be registered, he said. Keep looking on line and when you see it listed, call back.
By last Friday, when I couldn't even find the option for booking the move on line, I called another rep (Kimberley) who said "No problem. I'll just have to type in the address to find it"; something she said the first rep could have done.
She offered me a "first possible installation date" of 18th April which I said was too late as my daughter-in-law is pregnant and needs to be able to contact people. 3.5 weeks without a phone, internet or television service wasn't acceptable, especially as I'd tried to book the move well within the normal timescale and been fobbed off by someone less competant than her. Surely they could sort this out.
The response was a polite 'take it or leave it'. So I booked it and was assured someone would call about the problem she was having booking the BT Vision alongside the phone and broadband. It was agreed that total package would cease at the main house on the 10th....with a new line being booked for those premises later.
I put in an online complaint, (not against her - she was nice enough) in the hope that someone with greater clout could expedite the installation, and followed that up with a telephone call. Another rep noticed that the 130 pound fee being charged was 'clearly a mistake' and could be sorted out and she would put me throught to someone else who could deal with the timing too since it was beyond her remit.
So Mukhtar took over, a very pleasant sounding person who said he was very sorry about the delay but there was nothing to be done, no, not even though it seemed to be BT's error in the first place. As for the fee - Yes there isn't a charge for new installations if someone moves an entire package but another department would be dealing with that as he had just discovered that the issue had been placed with' First line assistance' as there seemed to be a problem with meeting the 18th April appointment, though it was still on order and hadn't been cancelled. He couldn't explain what the problem was. He was very sorry and could quite understand that a pregnant woman would need a telehpone etc....."Have a good day".
Sometime today a rep called the house and spoke to my son (they don't call international numbers so couldn't speak to me). My son asked for the installation to be sooner than 18th April as he has to access to his emails or he can't do his work. (He's doing a piece of research as part of a further education project) 'Ah Ha', said the rep, and accused him of trying to disguise a business account as a home account. And then, just to make matters even worse the rep said the installation wouldn't be being made at all as they don't have accounts paid for by one person at an address lived in by another. Cue outrage!
BT Customer Care at it's very best!
Right from the outset I had said that I needed two things - the current package, which is paid for by me, to be moved to other premises, and a second package - also to be paid for by me - to be installed at the main house, details of that to be decided once this move was sorted out. I'd have to have a new number at the apartment, they said. No problem, I'll just keep the current one at the main house. I'd have to be quick re-booking or they'd allocate it to someone else.
I said if it's more convenient I could transfer this account being moved to my my son's name, even though I would be paying for it.
"No you can't - that's breaking the contract. And that will cost you 227 pounds to do that" was the response.
So as of now - though no one has officially informed me yet - I can't move the services, can't put the contract in the name of my son, can't close the contract without cost to me......and I have no idea what happens to the service at the main house on the 10th. Will it be there when I get home? I've no idea.
Who can I talk to who can solve this current situation, or at least explain why the service is so awful?

I had thought this situation was solved but it just got worse. In addition to being without service for several days I am now being charged a cancellation fee for a broadband service that BT disconnected in error. BT Vision was also terminated by BT but the set up charges are still in place. Does anyone know who the relevant Ombudsman is? I called BT from America on Friday - for an hour - while someone called Aruj sorted out why there is an order 'in progress' that I didn't initiate; why I have fees relating to a problem created by BT and why there are references to a house move that didn't take place and a BT Vision service I no longer have but didn't cancel myself. He assured me it would be rectified and my bill would be reduced by 139 pounds and we would get confirmation of this later that day. I asked him what chance there was that this would not actually happen - he said no chance at all; my new bill would be 23.50.
There was no text message. An online chat person today told me there had been a fee reduction request which had been declined and there was nothing else he could help me with as he dealt only with broadband. But he would get BT Vision to email me. They always seem so helpful.............
I'm sure I'm listed somewhere as 'a problem', there's no other explanation for why I get the runaround

Control wrap (linefeed) in viewer

I have found that embedding a CHR(10) into a text field in Discoverer Plus makes a very nicely formatted column with word wrap turned on. This is very useful if you are displaying an address, list of phone #'s, etc.
Problem: it works fine in Plus, but is totally ignored in Viewer. In viewer it just runs on and wraps whenever the column width is exhausted. Is there any way to force a new line in a Viewer wrapped cell?

Hi,
Viewer shows the data as html in the page and so all white space is ignored.
You could look at changing the viewer templates by changing the .uit files in the discoverer/templates directory on the server to change the html style (style="white-space:pre") for the cells changing the white space attribute so that white space is displayed on the page.
You can search this site for viewer config and viewer templates for details on how to change the viewer setup, but this is not a supported change and you would have to return the template files to their original state to be supported.

Advice on Setting up a Project

Hi.
I am new to Project Systems.
I have a reuiqrement like the following.
We wants to setup the Projects to know the budgets of expenses(Travel, Accommodation, Entertainement etc.,) for our meetings.
We are expecting 70 to 100 Meetings a year and the total meeting costs from 10000 to 100000.
I have a basic in this scenario.
What is the best practice ?
A. Setup one project and setup a new WBS Structure for each new meeting ?
B. Setup new Project for each meeting i.e. 75 to 100 Projects a year.
what is the best practice around it.
PS: Our main intention to use this is we would like to know whether we have the available budget before we book the cost into SAP(Travel, Accommodation, Food, Entertainement etc.,)

Material ledger Price determination change

For the FERT materials - we have material ledger active, price determination 2 and price control S setup as of now. We have the standard cost for the group and Moving average is calculated for information purposes - now we want the moving average to be periodic.
I changed the price determiation from 2 to 3 in ML activation but had no impact.
My questions are:
1. Should we do this at the material level - so that moving avg does not get updated for each transaction and instead by period.
2. what are the steps/tcodes to be taken before and after changing the price determination. I understand we need to run ckmlcp - but need clarity on all the steps I have to do both from config and master data perspective.
3. Test script steps

C+ Well, the procedure is correct, Keep in mind the following: The system consider in your scenario S2 > S3 as Actual Cost of April the value in the standard at the moment of CKMM, so the flow:
> CKMM > Release Standard> At the release, system create a price diff (UMB), that is part of your actual cost (initial of may). The value is the diff of your previews and new standard.
In the ML Close of april, UMB of MAY will be cleared and converted in PRY/PRV. If you want details of this, check Standard Cost Release with ML Active.
Its important you validate it, because if the system dont select this materials, UMB $$ will be part of your P&L account.
In the ML close of May, this value will be consider part of the actual of May.
D+ What will happen if the run (iii) above after point (i ) will the ML revaluation will have impact on the material changes to 3S.
The ML close of april have impact if you post (GM, IR, Settlement) for this materials on April. If this materials are produced, its common that you do the settlement of its order the 1 or 2nd day of may with posting date of april, but as i toldyou is a common procedure.

Grey screen G5 Mac Pro - no Boot issue Solved!

So I have a 2008 G5 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon that randomly started giving me kernel panics and going to sleep and not waking up and then finally just would refuse to boot past the chime screen on any of my OS drives (I have 3 internals) and all that jazz... Went through the usual "has to be bad ram" and "re-install the LION OS" and tried safe boot mode - boot from disk etc... ad nauseum. Tested every pair of Ram and followed all of the advice here.
Well it was none of that. Took it to a Genius bar yesterday and we swapped out the video card. BINGO. Well actually not bingo - the first brand new ATI video card we tried was faulty and didn't even chime. Pulled an ATI 5770 HD card out and everything was back! AND it turns out that this is a known issue with the original ATI video cards in the stock model of 2008 G5's - and Apple is sending me a brand new video card to replace my old ATI 256mb one.
So if any of you out there are having these issues that just sort of start popping up out of the blue - I advise you to look into the ATI video card before tearing out your hair and setting the houes on fire. Good Luck! And great work at the Genius bar in Costa Mesa!!! I am sticking with the 5770. I hope this info helps someone.

Not G5 (or G6 or G-anything)
No G5 can run 10.6 or later, like Lion.
Yes, well known and there was a recall/replacement for ATI 2600XTs, and there are some with the ATI 5770s. One person was out of warranty didn't have AppleCare which is about the cost of 5770.
I even tell people to swap out and get the 5770 before their (7300GT, X1900, 2600XT, etc) has trouble (which is almost inevitable).

Can anyone detail what the difference is between the two models RMLVR1 and RMLVR2 I went to the Sony Store in Costa Mesa and the sales person was very unhelpful. He said he didn't know. I have the AS30V so not sure which one I should purchase.

In fact I control 3 action cams (AS30, AZ1, X1000V) simultaneously with my LRV and it works very well. You need to be sure you have the latest firmware updates on the LVR as well as the action cams. Slow 4G in Orange County, CA

For the last two weeks, my 4G speeds have dropped from their normal 20-25 down to less than 2.5 down. I have consistently slow speeds in Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, and Costa Mesa so far. I have tested from multiple locations miles apart in each city with the same results. I normally tether my phone to my laptop or use the mobile hotspot because Starbucks' WiFi is so slow (AT&T T1 line).
I am at a Starbucks in Seal beach and have better speed on their T1 line than on my 4G.
Is anyone else noticing brutally slow 4G in the last week or two?

My ZIP code is 92649. I just tested from Laguna Hills ZIP code 92653 and it is 3.8 down and 2.57 up.
By the way, when I started two years ago with 4G service, I was easily and consistently getting 20-25Mbps down and 16Mbps up from multiple locations.
It is slow on my Droid 4 purchased on release day (and RMA’d at least once) and my wife’s recently purchased Droid 4. It is also prevalent all over the USA. Read your forums to see lots of other complaints.

3G Maps not locating? Edge works fine... why?

So I have the iPhone 3G white and my wife has the black, both 16GB.
I live in Ventura County, CA.
I hit locate while in Maps while using 3G and it says I am Costa Mesa, Ca.
That is 102 miles away.
However, I switch to the Edge network and it finds me fine.
This is same for both phones, anybody know why this could be happening?

Ok got it to work now...
If I walk outside about 200 ft away from my house, the locating pin jumps from Costa Mesa to Ventura.
I still don't know why it was locating me in a random area 100 miles away as opposed to just not being able to find me. Maybe some near by satellite dishes were interfering or something. Maybe it couldn't pull all the necessary data and gave me a best estimate of where I was. Who knows.

Where can I find a VPL-VW1100ES

I can not believe how difficult it is to find a Sony dealer or store in Southern California that can show an actual VPL-VW1100ES demo or product in store. I've spent hours searching the internet and have gone to a Sony website but the website link is broken on where to find a Sony dealer. I've called Sony and was told no such place exists by the rep. She transferred me to the Costa Mesa Sony store and I was told no place exists either but they would call me back on the VPL-VW600ES availability. So my question is, How does Sony expect to sell a product sight unseen. These projectors are a major investment! I'm very disappointed to say the least and I have to go here to try and find an answer.
