SSIS Ole DB Destination Dynamic Fail

Hi,
I have a dataflow with Ole source and ole destination task. in the Ole Source I have the Data access mode "SQL command from variable" and I have the rset variable whith the select sentence : "Select * from [LES]."+ @[User::Tablename2]
I obtain the Tablename2 variable in a loop. In the Ole destination I have the data access mode "table name or view name variable" and then I have another variable called:tname dest with the value: "[dbo]."+@[User::Tablename2].
As I said, tablename 2 is the name of the table that I obtained in the loop. my problem is the error in the Ole db destination:
Description: Table/view either does not exist or contains errors
Error at DataflowTask: "[dbo]."".check that the object exist in the data base.
does anybody know why?

Ok I catched your point guys, let me give you a long description, I have 2 Servers (Production-Testing).
I Have A,B,C,D,E tables in Production server and only A,B, C tables in Testing server (same structure)
I had created an SSIS pck that:
1.- Get the list of tables missing in testing (D,E)
2.- Creates the tables from Production to Testing (only the missing ones D,E)
and before these steps I want to Insert from Production to Testing all the information in the created and existing tables(A,b,C,D,E)
In this step I am having problem because everything is dynamic ( the name of the tables is saved in variable and with a loop I the name table by table)
Your 1st step should be to create the missing tables (D,E). Use the one exec SQL task to create these tables. 2nd step will be to load the data into these tables. You need
2 ole db sources and destination components to load these tables. Single ole db source and destination component will not work because SSIS is static metadata tool. Ofcourse the 2 tables will have different metadata and that will be handled
by pair of componets.

I have a package which has 10 sequence containers. Have 10 Flat File Source files and all is working perfect on BI Debug mode. When I deploy this package to server I am getting the following error.
I have changed the property Retain the same connection = True but same problem. I have changed the data flow task to Load Project instead of Load Into Project but in error message it is still showing the old name. I have tried to remove the whole step i.e.
Removed Load into Project Data flow with sequence container but I am getting the same error message.
I am not able to understand the reason. Any Idea why am I getting the same error message even I do not have the Data Flow named Load Into Package. It is in SSIS 2008 and being deployed on SQL 2012 server.

According to the error message(hightlight above), it seems it's a mapping issue that Naarasimha point out in the post above. Please check this carefully.
An OLE DB destination includes mappings between input columns and columns in the destination data source. You do not have to map input columns to all destination columns, but depending on the properties of the destination columns, errors can occur if
no input columns are mapped to the destination columns.

In your post, you said that it is in SSIS 2008 and being deployed on SQL 2012 server. Do you mean that you create the package deployment utility by using SSIS 2008, and then implement SSIS deployment in SSIS 2012 environment? If so, you need to
convert the project to package deployment model to generate Manifest file in SSIS 2012. Please see:

Ssis error: row disposition on "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (3876)"

i got the following error in data flow task.
The "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (3876)" failed because error code 0xC020907B occurred, and the error row disposition on "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (3876)" specifies failure
anyone knows how to fix it?

This error is occurring because you have a value in your source column that is not valid for your column in the destination.
Some possible examples:
You're trying to insert a 10 character value into an 8 character field.
You're trying to insert a value larger than 127 into a tinyini field.
You're trying to insert the value 6.4578 into a decimal(5,1) field.
SSIS is governed by metadata, and it expects that you've set up your inputs and outputs properly such that the acceptable values for both are within the same range.

I have created one package (1) to import data from Flatfile(csv), (2)Clean It then (3)send clean rows to SQL Database.
This package was working fine before. Since I have decided to deploy this package to automate this process, I have no clue what went wrong but this doesn't run anymore. Flatfile and Database are on same windows box. We are running SQL 2008.I

I recreated connection and I was able to remove that RED DOT next to those connections.
Still package doesnt run well :(
I have only one server. I use same server through out the process. I ran that process as job through SSMS and attached is output file(if this explains more)...

How to load from multiple sources to multiple destination dynamically

I have more than hundred tables in a different server (lets say on a sql server 1). I have to perform load,by getting change records copy of those hundred tables with the some condition in to sql server 2 destination. I know how to perform data
flow task in SSIS to extract data from a source and load it in a destination. With more than hundred tables, I would need to create more than hundred data flow tasks which is very time consuming. So I have heard about from source to destination dynamically
by looping through and creating variables. Now, how do I do this? Remeber, those hundred tables do having similar column names in both soruce and destination server. How can I perform this initial load faster without using multiple data flow task in SSIS.

Ok , if the schema of both the source and destination is same , you can just perform an import and export tool and then it can be saved as an SSIS package. If this needs to be separately developed in an SSIS package, the logic can be :
1 - Get the list of tables using sysobjects or metadata table where all the table list is maintained.
2 - Loop through those tables using for each loop.
3 - Inside the for each loop , use a script to access the source connection ( OLEDB source table name) and the destination connection (OLEDB destination table name).
4 - Assign the source table connectoin dynamically to the variable fecthed from for each loop above.
5 - You can also use expressions for the OLEDB source table name and OLEDB destination name inside the data flow task.
6 - At the end the data flow task which is explained above will be used.
Script task and the data flow task will be used inside the for each loop , above which all the objects list will be fetched using execute sql task using a SELECT and assigned to Object variable.
Simplest will be Import and Export.

Please let me know if it is in domain environment. If so, please test to log the same user account currently on Windows 7 to Windows XP and see if issue persists.
Also please test to directly access the scanning folder on printer server to see if there is any issue in accessing the destination folder.

I have recently upgraded a clients servers to Windows Server 2012 & since doing so have lost the ability to scan to folder.
Both servers are domain controllers and previously on a 2008 domain controller I would have had to make the following change to allow scan to folder:

However I have applied this to the Windows 2012 server but am still unable to scan, possibly due to added layers of security in server 2012. The error on the scanner is Authentication with the destination has failed check settings.
I have also tried the following at the server:
Policies -> Security Policies
Change Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level to: Send LM & NTLM - Use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated.
Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients and uncheck the require 128 bit.
Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) servers and uncheck the require 128 bit
I have created a user account on the server for the ricoh and set this in the settiings of the Ricoh and verified everything is correct.
Are there any other things I have missed?

When using Microsoft Backup on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 (not R2 - [Microsoft version 6.0.6002]) I get the error "The creation of the shadow copy on the backup destination has failed. Detailed Error: The Volume Shadow Copy operation failed with the

The odd thing is that when I start the backup manually, it works fine. When it runs automatically the error appears.
When doing a SFC /scannow I do get errors that can't be corrected.
Is there anything short of rebuilding this machine (It's a DC and the only one this office has) I can do to fix this?

Hi,
0x80042316 means "Another shadow copy creation is already in progress". This error could occur when another VSS instance is running.
Is there any third party backup application installed? Try to uninstall it to see the result. And please also check if there is another backup schedule which causes the conflict.
Meanwhile please provide the result of:
vssadmin list providers
vssadmin list writers

I do have Crashplan ProE running. It started at 1900 and the Windows Backup starts at 2000. I have modified Crashplan not to start until 2300 to see if that helps.

is there any Standard FM to get the RFC destinations dynamically. if so tell me what are the parameter i need to give for that.
currently i am hardcoding the RFC destination, but if i Transport to Q system it should take dynamically

I recently had to do this in a program. I used the following select statement:
SELECT SINGLE rfcdest INTO gv_rfc FROM crmrfcpar
WHERE consumer = 'CRM'.
In the system I was working on, there was only one entry in the table per system with a consumer of CRM. You should probably check the entries in the table in your system to determine the correct select logic.

Based on my research, I can reproduce the issue in my environment. The issue is caused by the CodePage of Input Columns "Product Desc", "Brand Desc" and "Seg Desc" are 65001, while the corresponding Destination Columns are 1252.
The Input Columns use more than one code page than the Destination Columns, so the error occurs.
To fix this issue, we can use a Derived Column Transformation to add three derived columns to convert the code page of the three columns. For more details, please see:
Drag a Derived Column Transformation before the OLE DB Destination and connect to it.
Add three Derived Columns with the same format like below:
Derived Column Name: Derived Column 1
Derived Column: <add as new column>
Expression: (DT_STR,50,1252)[Product Desc]
Double-click the OLE DB Destination, then select the “Derived Column 1” column from Input Column to make it map to the corresponding Destination Column which the original column “Product Desc” maps.
Use the same method for other two columns.

BCP to pass an Error Message to SSIS when the BCP call fails?

Hi,
Within SSIS I have an Execute SQL Task which calls BCP via a source variable given the dynamic nature of the BCP call.
When the BCP call fails it returns a number of records which give instructions on how to use BCP. SSIS then thinks that BCP has executed successfully, the component shows green and then the package continues to run.
But of course what I want the BCP call to do is return an error message which would then trigger the standard on error event handler within SSIS. How do I do this please?
It maybe the “Execute Process Task” could be a better SSIS component to use for this call
Using BCP Utility in SSIS. Does anyone have experience of doing this type of thing?

Why don't you use the "Fast Load" option = BULK LOAD? Or the BULK LOAD stored proc?
The only other way I can think of this can be done is by directing errors to an error file which can be interrogated from the package and then a precedence constraint used to trigger an error if there was one.

SSIS OLE DB Source in Data Flow Task calling SP that returns variable number of column as output

We have one old Stored Proc that I need to reuse. But that stored proc returns different number of Columns as output depending on input Parameter. Say, if I pass 1 to 9 it will return 'ID', if i pass 10 to 33 it will return 'ID', 'Name', if I pass
34 to 51 it will return 'ID', 'Name', 'DefaultPosition'
In this way.
Now I wanted to use this in OLE DB Source in SSIS DFT.
During that time immediately it is picking all possible columns in Available External Columns. Even if I manually select/delete those, package is failing at Runtime, because in Runtime the parameter this will get, it should always return one & only one
column which is ID. [Because in this package I will only have to pass parameters like, 1 or 2 or 5 or 7 or 9.
Which in every case should return only ID from stored proc.
Any Idea how I can get this please?

I tried these options but always got errors as

Getting this Error: There was an error with input column "FROM_DATE" (6356) on input "OLE DB Destination Input" (6100). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".

I have a flat file with this kind of value - " 20140713 " . To take this value in DB Table I set the data type of this column in flat file manager - string [DT_STR] 50, But in destination table It is set as date [date] NULL
while process this file, I'm getting this error, that mention in subject line.
Please confirm, how to do that as I don't want to change the destination column type.

you need to add a derived column in SSIS with expressions as below
(DT_DATE)SUBSTRING([Column],1,4) + (DT_WSTR,30) "-" + SUBSTRING([Column],5,2) + (DT_WSTR,30) "-" + SUBSTRING([Column],7,2)
ANd map this new column to your tables date column

SSIS custom execute sql task : Failed with error

I am developing a custom SSIS task for running sql task. But it fails with error - I'm trying to set the resultsetbinding to be used by next task in workflow.
Error: 0xC0014054 at CustomSSISTask: Failed to lock variable "User::id" for read access with error 0xC0010001 "The variable cannot be found. This occurs when an attempt is made to retrieve a variable from the Variables collection on a container
during execution of the package, and the variable is not there. The variable name may have changed or the variable is not being created.".
Error: 0xC002F210 at CustomSSISTask, Execute SQL Task: Executing the query "SELECT id FROM sysobjects WHERE name = 'sysrowsets..." failed with the following error: "Failed to lock variable "User::id" for read access with error 0xC0010001

It doesnt throw any exception but custom task fails.
Later I will be also using parametersetbindings to pass some input parameters to this task , since I'm stuck for out param - blocked moving ahead.

How to change SSIS variables from DM Dynamic Script

All,
I'm using BPC 5.1 SP8 on top of SQL 2005. I have some SSIS variables defined in my SSIS transformation that I would like to change using Data Manager Dynamic Script.
How can this be accomplished?

The most flexible way I know, is to set up your MODIFYSCRIPT parameter similar to the following. The prompts allow the user to key in anything they want (not necessarily base-member IDs) which you can then pass to the variables in the

Then in the DTSX package there are variables for DB_NAME, DB_SERVER, COLOR, etc. Note that these names must be ALLCAPS or things don't work. Pass them on to your connection manager (to ease the transport from one environment to another), or wherever else you need them in the package.
I believe there's also a way to pass through the filtered, validated list of member IDs, but I don't have an example of that.
