SSIS won't generate deployment files

Question

I enabled building of deployment by - MySolution > right click > properties > CreateDeploymentUtility = True, DeploymentOutputPath = bin\Deployment > Apply > OK.
Then, SSIS > Build > Build MySolution.
I went to the above folder (under visual studio 2008 projects) and saw nothing there. why is this happening and how do I fix it ?

Hi blastoSO,
It is odd that the deployment folder was not generated after your correct operations. In case the BIDS is corrupted, I suggest that you reinstall the BIDS from SQL Server 2008 installation media if possible.
Besides, I would like to explain that the Package Installation Wizard tool launched by the deployment manifest file not only copies the package .dtsx file and the package configurations .dtsConfig file to the install folder, but also changes the  <DTS:Configurations>
element of the package XML code to change the path of the default package configurations. So, if we just copy the package and the package configurations file to the install folder, the default path of the package configurations is not changed. To change the
package configurations file path, we can just modify the ConfigurationString property of the .dtsx file.
