SSO does not work

Hi...
I'm trying to use SSO between portal (jCo, webdynpro...) and ABAP System...
I follow "Single Sign-On in a Complex System Landscape" tutorial, but when I try to test any jCo connection, this error appears to me:

If you are working with JCO's please make sure that SSO will not work for metadata jco creation.
use the UID PWD method as part of metadata jco creation.
it will work fine

Our web application runs on JBoss Server 5 supports Kerberos v5 SSO. We have tested it against Firefox, IE, and Google Chrome, and they all works well.
But Safari 5.0.3 does not work.
Our application sends "WWW-Authenticate: Negotiate" to Safari. Safari always pops up a dialog for name and password. After I typed the name and password, and click Login, Safari send NTLM message (NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE) to the web application, and login failed.
Someone described that Safari supports Kerberos authentication without any additional configuration.
I do not know what goes wrong with my environment and how to solve this issue. Your help is appreciated.
My Safari 5.0.3 runs on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.

SSO does not work with DNS change

Hi all,
I have an ITS service which works fine on intranet but do not work on internet. But the same service when put on internet (ofcourse with a different DNS i.e. abc.mycompany.co.uk) and it breaks down. When clicking on a webgui service or webrfc service it opens up the logon screen asking for password. In the whole ITS service there is no cross domain service.
The same thing works fine on intranet with different domain name.
Is there any other settings to be changed to accomodate for the new domain to work on the internet?

Hi Surendar,
cross domain support is from security point not a proper solution.
The ITS issues a MYSAPSSO2 cookie. The cookie specification says that the browser rules who is getting cookies. Normally only site with the corresponding DNS name will get.
Possible solution would be:
If you switch your application, the service which creates the ticket must be connect with another DNS name. Your DNS server allows to configure aliases. So just connect your WebServer with WGate with this new (alias) name, then you will get a cookie with another entry in DOMAIN property of the cookie.

SSO does not work in Universe Designer

Hi,
I have a problem getting an error within Universe Designer the error is :
"DBD: Unable to connect to SAP BW server Incomplete logon data"
Installed below :
BOBJ XI 3.1 installed
SAP GUI 7.10
SAP Java Connector
SAP Integration Kit
All is run on the server machine.
SSO setup i CMS etc. and i works fine in the beginning and i can go into Universe Designer and create a SSO connection which responds etc. and i can create universes which is fine. I can go to webi and create an new report using the universe and select som measures and dimension and execute query, but it only works a couple of times then it starts to fails with an xml error. After that going to universe designer an into connection i cannot longer get in touch with my Bex query in SAP BW ! and that is where my problem allways ends, so now i cannot connect using SSO in Universe Designer.
Found technote 1250890 but it only says that i need to install integration kit on my client, but my installation is all i one and is installed.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated !

Logout does not work in OIM after enabling OAM SSO

We have installed a webgate to protect xlWebApp in OIM. Once the SSO is enabled, the logout does not work in the OIM user interface. How to solve this issue?
Metalink has a solution where we need to add document.location="http://host:port/access/oblix/lang/en-us/logout.html"; in xlWebApp\tiles\tjspLogoffTiles.jsp. This is the logout URL of OAM. Is there any other way so we can have a logout page in the OIM application/server itself?

I did what you suggested and initially it looked like it is working but there is slight issue. When I click Logout, it redirects to the logout screen. After logging out when I try to access xlWebApp it prompts for the login (i am using basic authentication). If I cancel it and again try to access xlWebApp, it lets me in without any prompt. This issue is in IE only but not in Firefox. Not sure what's the issue.
Btw, to make the logout screen work, I had to unprotect the following with None Authentication:
- /xlWebApp/pages/logout.html (logout page)
- /xlWebApp/images
- /xlWebApp/css/Xellerate.css
- /xlWebApp/css/style.css

SAML / OIF integration does not work - Could not extract SAML2 message

We are trying to establish SSO between SAP Portal 7.3 and OIF 11.1.5 (Oracle Identity federation). I configured SAP Portal as service provider and OIF is also configured. I changed Login Module and add SAMl as on top of my default auth stack. When we try to do end-to-end test is does not work and throws the following error:

We have our identity provider / service provider in two different segment of the network and there is no http/https connection between these segments as we assumed that all the communication is going through the browser and we would not need the port to be opened on the firewall. Is it something which is absolutely necessary? In our opinion it negates all the benefits of SAML

Hi Elena,
The issue was discovered and fixed during the SAML Interoperability Tests early last year (2011). I'm not sure I will be able to find a dedicated note because the fix was not downported but just submitted in the latest SP in correction. If you need a justification then you can open a support ticket with SAP and this will be the official answer there. If you do so please to not forget to attach traces from the system - use the tool described in 1332726 with type "SAML 2.0 (Info)". If you send me the ticket number I can speed-up the processing of the ticket.

In Portal30 tables, the column "SUBSCRIBER_ID NUMBER DEFAULT SYS_CONTEXT('WEBDB_VPD_CTX','SUBSCRIBER_ID') NOT NULL" which will be populated with SYS_CONTEXT function does not work while installing Oracle9iAS Portal30 repository.
All tables that reference this column are empty.
Any ideas please ?

When you say that you are testing this in SQL presumably you are doing this in SQL Plus. If this is true then the answer you got back is correct because connections to SQL Plus do not use the App Server SSO login and so the CLIENT_IDENTIFIER attribute will always return NULL. Try switching this to OS_USER and you should see the user name from the operating system. Switching this to SESSION_USER will tell you the database user name, while switching it to TERMINAL will tell you the name of the machine that you are logged on, and so on.

To take advantage of any of this inside Discoverer you would have to register the PL/SQL SYS_CONTEXT function with Discoverer.

Installed Premiere Pro CS4 but video display does not work?

I just got my copy of CS$. After installing Premiere I found two things that seem very wrong:
1) video display does not work, not even the little playback viewer next to improted film clips located on the project / sequence window. Audio works fine.
2) the UI is way too slow for my big beefy system.
My pc is a dual boot Vista-32 and XP system with 4GB of memory installed and nvidia geforce 280 graphics board with plenty of GPU power. The CS4 is installed on the Vista-32 partition. My windows XP partition on the same PC with Premiere CS2 works great and real fast.
Any ideas how to solve this CS4 install issue?

The problem is now very clear to me. The problem only shows up with video footage imported into PP CS4 encoded with "MS Video 1" codec. So this seems to be a bug. The codec is very clearly called out and supported within various menues but video with this codec just will not play in any monitor or preview window. In addition the entire product looks horrible with respect to performance while PP CS4 trys its best to play the video. Audio will start playing after about 30 seconds. And once in awhile part of video shows up at the wrong magnification before blanking out again.
My suggestion to the Adobe team: fix the bug and add some sample footage to the next release so new installations can test their systems with known footage.

A2109 tablet autorotate does not work

The autorotation on my recently purchased tablet A2109 does not work. I look in settings and the auto rotate field is not highlighted, I therefore cannot choose to turn it on.The tablet has the Android jellybean OS and I did update it but to no avail. Can anyone help?

Your tablet uses Android OS.
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

I use Apex' report query tool and My query is like
select 'http://www.google.com.tr/images/firefox/mobiledownload.png' IMAGE_LOCATION from ... (a single result set for my template)
the xml data is generated with an IMAGE_LOCATION tag. I load it to word template plug-in. The Url successfully displays in the report if I make it a plain-simple field.
But when it's in the image format->web->alt text as url:{IMAGE_LOCATION} no image displayed.
I need to keep this design procedure simple so a simple word user could design a report via using just template builder plug-in. I don't wish to explore the xsl-fo area...yet.
Could you tell me why I can't get this url:{IMAGE_LOCATION} to work?

when you see the URL corrently as long as you have it as a plain text field, the XML tag and the
referencing seem to be OK.
Here are two thought - the issue might be one of these ...
How did you insert the dummy image into the word document - did you do it via "insert" or
via "link to file". "Link to File" does not work - you must choose the simple "insert".
Another one: Does your BI Server have a connection to the internet - is the proxy server correctly set ..?

Tap on the event to open the event. Click the 'Edit' button in the event bubble, then press the 'Delete Event' button at the bottom of the Edit pop-up. It's a little different for events that come through Microsoft Exchange, you tap the event to bring up bubble and click the 'Details' button, and then press 'Decline' to remove the event.
