SSO, OBIEE, Apache 2.0.52, Weblogic10, Webgate 7.0.4 on Windows

Trying to get SSO working:
Integration of OBIEE, Apache 2.0.52, Weblogic10, Webgate 7.0.4 on Windows
I installed the following for this integration.
1. OBIEE (10.1.3.4.x) Installed on JAVA OC4J Container (but deployed to Weblogic)
2. Installed Weblogic 10 SSL enable (infrastructure)
3. Installed Apache 2.0.52 SSL enable
4. Installed Webgate 7.0.4
5. Created a User, group, policy via Access Manager…… (in the policy, I’m redirecting to the apache vs weblogic port – I want to hide the weblogic port)
Tested the Weblogic / Apache plugin and it works for ssl connecting to application on weblogic server. (This test was without webgate configured in the http.conf)
I also tested webgate ‘WITHOUT’ the weblogic plugin on a couple applications and it worked. (using the redirect in the Oracle Access Manager)
*****Now, I’m trying to integrate everything so I can use SSO with OBIEE.****
I configured BI according to OBIEE Deployment manual except for the portion of registering the BI as a Partner Application since I don’t have the ssoreg.bat or mod_osso.
****I’m using Webgate, how do I register BI as a Partner? Or do I have to?
I double checked the following, but how can I confirm the BI Server URL? Is it the port in the NQSConfig file?
<LogoffUrl>
http://<OAS10.1.2 URL>:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_logout?p_done_url=http%3A%2F%<BI Server URL> :7779%2Fanalytics%2F
</LogoffUrl>
<LogonUrl>
http://<OAS10.1.2 URL>:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
</LogonUrl>
*** & Password has more that 8 characters.
7. Restart BI Presentation Server
8.) LOGIN to OBIEE Presentation server
ERROR
When I login to OBIEE it is not allowing to login.It is showing following error message
you are not currently Logged in to the OracleBI Server
If yo have already Logged in ,Your connection might hv timed out,or communications or server error may have occured
To log bck in click here .If problem persists ,please contact the site administrator
When I click on 'here' on the OBIEE screen it is taking over to SSO Screen and I see following error
*The url changes to https:// OAS10.1.2 URL:port/pls/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
And the following is displayed:
Error: 404—Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol – HTTP/ 1.1
10.4.5 404 NotFound
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. ….
I reviewed log files in Apache, WL, webgate, but nothing helped.
Any help is appreciated

I'm a few months away from having to do this in our development environment on our project and am just next week going to be starting on the tech arch for this. My understanding is that OSSO IS required. You will have to integrate OAM with OSSO in order to use OAM with OBIEE. You can find information regarding OAM / OSSO integration in the OAM 10.1.4.2 Integration guide. Let me know how it goes since I'll soon be tackling the same.

  • SSO + OBIEE + Impersonation :: Invalid user/password

    I am running the following setup:
    OBIEE
    Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 10.1.3.3.2 (Build 071217.1900)
    Physical Presentation Catalog Path /apps/installs/OracleBIData/web/catalog/paint/root
    Oracle BI Server Data Source AnalyticsWeb
    Analytics WebApp
    Turned off OC4J, and deployed Analytics.war file on its own Apache-Tomcat instance
    The Tomcat instance listens on port 9090
    Siteminder (SSO) / Proxy Tier
    I am running an Apache Web Server instance protected by CA Siteminder's SSO policy
    AWS is listening on port 80, and acting as a proxy to redirect requests for Analytics.
    Example:
    Tomcat Analytics: http://localhost:9090/analytics/
    AWS: http://localhost:80/obiee/ ==> http://localhost:9090/analytics/
    I am doing testing with the out of the box PAIN repository & set of dashboards. My goal is to:
    1. Protect OBIEE behind SSO
    2. Allow ANY SSO authenticated user to gain access to OBIEE Analytics
    3. Remove OBIEE's own authentication / login screen
    Effectively:
    1. Browse to http://localhost/obiee/
    2. Get redirected to SSO login landing page
    3. Authenticate via SSO
    4. Upon successful SSO authentication, get redirected to the default OBIEE dashboard
    So far, so good. I followed the guide for SSO integration found here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12096_01/books/AnyDeploy/AnyDeploySSO.html
    I've added the necessary entries on my instanceconfig.xml ($ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/config/instanceconfig.xml) as follows
    <Auth>
    <SSO enabled="true">
    <ParamList>
    <Param name="IMPERSONATE" source="httpHeader" nameInSource="eid"/>
    </ParamList>
    </SSO>
    </Auth>
    <CredentialStore>
    <CredentialStorage type="file" path="/apps/installs/OracleBIData/web/config/credentialstore.xml" passphrase="***********"/>
    </CredentialStore>
    I've created an Impersonator user and impersonation alias on my credentialstore.xml file using:
    cryptotools credstore -add -infile $ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/config/credentialstore.xml
    Credential Alias: impersonation
    Username: Impersonator
    Password: ***********
    Do you want to encrypt the password? y/n (y):
    Passphrase for encryption: ***********
    Do you want to write the passphrase to the xml? y/n (n):
    File "<OracleBIData>/web/config/credentialstore.xml" exists. Do you want tooverwrite it? y/n (y):
    I've also added the Impersonator user to the repository using BI Administrator. I opened the respository online and added Impersonator as a user, with the same password I defined when I user cryptotools. I included the Impersonator user on the same groups as the default Administrator (Administrators & XMLP_ADMIN) and subsequently checked my changes back into the server. After everything was done, I bounced presentation and BI servers through:
    $run-sa.sh stop
    $run-saw.sh stop
    $run-sa.sh start
    $run-saw.sh start
    Presentation services starts up fine, BI server starts up fine as well. When I browse to the Apache Web Server site, I get redirected to SSO, I pass my credentials, and the wind up on the /saw.dll?Dashboard URI but I get the following message:
    You are not currently logged in to the Oracle BI Server.
    If you have already logged in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred.
    Here are the relevant log entries from $ORACLEBIDATA_HOME/web/log
    sawlog0.log -I replaced the actual username with <SSOUID>. <SSOUID> is the actual SSO header I need.
    Oracle BI Presentation Services have started successfully.

    I am at a total loss with this. If I am understanding the OBIEE stack correctly, this would seem to indicate:
    a. The impersonation credentials on the credentialstore.xml file are not being decrypted correctly, or the password actually doesn't match. But I've triple checked this.
    b. The impersonation alias is not being recognized by presentation services.
    I would really appreciate any input here. If I've left out any relevant items, please ask questions and I'll try to be as thorough as possible.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Using Essbase security filter in OBIEE request ?

    Hello,
    We would like to use OBIEE 11.1.1.6 with Essbase source. We already use Essbase security filter (on dimensions).
    For example, "userA" is allowed to access to Entity A and not Entity B and the opposite for "userB".
    If I loggin as "userA" in OBIEE, is it possible for OBIEE to connect to Essbase with "userA" so that Essbase return data only on Entity A and not Entity B ?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    The way let OBIEE users, have Essbase security filters running for them, is by integrating OBIEE and EPM using Single Sign On. When, both OBIEE and EPM talk to the same Identity Store like OID/MSAD, you can set this up. For more integration steps, refer to http://www.google.com.sg/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDAQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.oracle.com%2Ftechnetwork%2Fmiddleware%2Fbi-foundation%2Fhfm-sso-obiee-1112x-1835570.pdf&ei=O7ElUeCTApGzrAeelIHwCw&usg=AFQjCNE1BzMQU6Cwny-0IwcvxkfxeqlONg&bvm=bv.42661473,d.bmk

  • Installing two different webgates

    Hi,
    I have to install two different webgates for two applications. What would be the way to do that? Should I install the webgates in two different instances as I am unable to figure out a how to put these two different generated ObAccessClient.xml and cwallet.sso files in the same OHS/ohs1/webgate/config folder.
    Please suggest any ideas on this!!
    Thank you.
    Manoj

    Yes, you can install 2 webgates on separate OHS instances. Assuming you already have one OHS running on port 7777, you can create an additional OHS instance on the same server using opmnctl createcomponent. Syntax will be something like
    opmnctl createcomponent -componentType OHS -componentName ohs2 (assuming ohs1 already exists)
    You will see an additional instance folder under instances/instance1/config/OHS folder
    Then you can go ahead a create 2 web agents in OAM and copy each of the artifacts into the respective webgate/config folder
    Let me know if you have any further questions on this

  • SSO logon tickets not working in two different OS

    HI All,
    We have sucessfully implemented SSO logon tickets concept to access a j2ee application through portal on windows OS.
    We could able to do the samething on two j2ee instances installed on two different machines on same domain. I mean, deploying our application in one j2ee instance and accessing the application thru portal of another j2ee instance thru SSO logon ticket by adding some configuration steps in Visual administrator given in help.sap.com. This also we did in same OS windows.
    But now the problem is, when we try to implement the above scenario in two different OS, say application is deployed on HPUX machine, and accessing that application through Portal from Solaris machine, SSO logontickets is failing. Means we couldnt able to access the application. Both the OS are in same domain only.
    What extra configuration steps need to be done in VA, to get work with two different OS?
    Please share ur ideas.
    Regards,
    Satish.

    Hi..
    I guess probabaly the internet explorer doesnot accept the sso ticket.
    What you can probably check is that the compatability of explorer for the solaris and HP UX os with Windows OS.
    Also,please check whether the SSO ticket is getting populated and What error are you getting exactly when the SSO fails and that will give some idea to proceed further
    <u>deploying our application in one j2ee instance and accessing the application thru portal of another j2ee instance[/u
    What the above mean...how are you deploying ?? what tool ?? which J2EE instance out of the two ??

  • Problem with ECM 10G working with Apache 2.2.22

    Hello all and thanks for your help.
    I'm facing an issue when trying to use the Apache to display my UCM URL.
    I get this error whenever I try to user Apache:
    [oracle@ucm-2 bin]$ ./apachectl start
    httpd: Syntax error on line 465 of /app/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /app/oracle/ecm/ucm/shared/os/linux/lib/IdcApache22Auth.so into server: /app/oracle/ecm/ucm/shared/os/linux/lib/IdcApache22Auth.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
    I'm using Linux Oracle 5u6, Oracle DB 11G, ECM 10G, Apache 2.2.22 (my VM). The host is Windows 7 64 bits Enterprise.
    I know it's an older and outdated version of ECM but we need this configuration for training purposes.
    What is the line 465 (and below) is:
    LoadModule IdcApacheAuth "/app/oracle/ecm/ucm/shared/os/linux/lib/IdcApache22Auth.so"
    IdcUserDB oracle "/app/oracle/ecm/ucm/data/users/userdb.txt"

    IdcSecurity oracle
    </Location>
    So, there's anyway I could fix this? I'm new to Linux (specially Oracle's), I searched a great deal before coming here creating this post.
    Can you, please, help me?
    Thanks for your help and kindness.
    Have a nice weekend!

    Please forget the post above!

  • OBIEE 11g install fails on step 7 (database connect string)

    I've currently spent 2 days trying to install OBIEE 11g on two machines (independently). This first is a Windows XP SP3 test PC running 4GB RAM, whilst the second is a Windows 2003 virtual server with 3GB RAM. The Database is Oracle 10g (10.2.0.4.0) on AIX 5.3.
    The DBA has successfully run the RCU on the Database and the schemas needed for OBIEE have been created. The BIPLATFORM schema has also been granted DBA privileges.
    Now I've tried to run both the simple and the Enterprise install for OBIEE 11g, but it always fails at the same step (step 7 of 13: Database details). I have selected the following:
    Database Type: Oracle Database
    Connect String: hostname:port:instance, where hostname is the full server path eg xxxxx.uk.com and instance name is FFADEV01
    BIPLATFORM Schema Username: As per username defined in RCU
    BIPLATFORM Schema Password: As per password entered in RCU
    If i change the connection string to FFADEV01.WORLD i get a 08031 error, whereas I am normally getting an 08035 error. The annoying thing is that I can connect to the schema using RapidSQL and the usernames and passwords as created in the RCU.
    Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

    How was he able to install the BIPlATFORM schema using RCU on AIX? I thought RCU was only on Linux and Window platforms? I am about to install OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on AIX with a Oracle 10g DB but from what I read I wont be able to create the needed OBIEE schemas for the install because I won't be able to use the RCU on AIX. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • OBIEE 11g on Windows 7 (64 bit)

    Experts,
    I tried installing OBIEE 11.1.1.5 (both Simple and Software only install) mutiple times on my Laptop running Win 7 (64 bit), but all the times the installation hangs at "Creating domain", the first configuration step. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I did all the pre-installation steps before running the setup.exe. Does anyone installed OBIEE 11g on Win 7 (64 bit). If yes, please suggest what other things I need to do for a successful installation
    Regards,
    Sarvan

    Hi
    Even though officially this is not supported on Windows 7 OS, still we should be able to install it without any issues. I installed OBIEE 11g simple edition on Windows 7, 64 Bit OS and everything is working fine. Infact I used Oracle Express Database Edition 10g instead of full blown Oracle 11g database. I used this to run RCU to create 2 obiee schemas. It did took lot of time though on windows like around 50 minutes for the full installation which installed weblogic, obiee on top of this, then create a default domain named bifoundation. I could create some test reports, dashboards etc.
    Here is another link that is also successfull in installing OBIEE 11g on Windows 7, 64 bit:
    http://123obi.com/2011/05/obiee-11g-11-1-1-5-0-installation-on-windows-7/
    I did not do anything special.
    1. Download all the installers, RCU etc.
    2. First in my Oracle 10g express edition, run RCU and create 2 schemas for OBIEE.
    3. Run obiee installer and wait for about an hour. It came out successfully. Started the domain, started OPMN Services, started a browser with one url.
    4. One thing is. I first installed Java/JDK 64 Bit version and put this in the PATH variable. So when I run java -version, it showed me this 64bit JDK. BUT even though I did this, internally the obiee domain still used its own JDK. I checked this in the startup script file named "StartStopServices.cmd" having one property like this:
    JAVA_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware115BI\Oracle_BI1\jdk
    And also under the domain root folder like bifoundation_domain/bin/setDomainEnv.cmd, I could see JAVA_HOME using the same above location.
    Thanks

  • SSO-Logon from mobile device - create logon ticket from WebDynpro for Java

    Hi Experts,
    I'm developing WebDynpro-JAVA application for some warehouse stuff  (runs on a portal system, clients are mobile barcode-scanners with Windows mobile 5.0). JCOs from the portal system to the R/3-backend are confirgured for SSO with Logon-tickets and portal uses LDAP for authentication against a Windows-ADS.
    This works so far ... but my problem is the standard Logon-screen, which is nearly unusable on the mobile device (screen size, layout, etc.). Is there any solution to create logon-tickets directly from the WebDynpro application (using something from com.sap.engine.interfaces.security.auth or similar ?) or any chance to have a special logon screen for mobile devices (parameter sap-wd-client=Pie03Client is ignored for the logon screen).
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    Hendrik

    Hi Henrik,
    Did you find the solution to your problem ?
    I'm facing the same issue, so I'd be pleased to know the solution!

  • Kerberos SSO delegated credentials not persistent

    We have a Kerberos SSO enabled http listener application that uses bindows (ajax) that runs on IBM i5 (aka OS/400 and AS/400) that runs fine with IE. I have found info on configuring Firefox (windows) for SSO (see notes further down) so I am testing with our app.
    The initial connection authenticates just fine, but subsequent connections (according to our programmer reviewing our internal traces) are not sending a token with delegated credentials. So I guess the best way to describe this is lack of persistence within the session.
    There doesn't seem to be an official site documenting SSO config, but this is what I found by googling ...
    In url box type about:config, enter. A list of vars appears. Use filter to find network.*uris and set values to the domain name (ie mycorp.com). Additionally search for network.*-proxies and make sure values are set to "true". Additionally search for network.*sspi and make sure value is set to "true". To connect to site using SSO, specify the domain portion in the url (ie xxx.mycorp.com).
    I also found bugzilla 520668 that was about how ugly the process was and claiming sspi should be false, but that causes an authentication failure on the initial connection.
    Is there something I am doing wrong or missed in general set up and use ... or possibly some special token the application is supposed to pass back.

    Thank you for your assistance, Tim.  We have now resolved all remote access issues.  It turned out that we had four different remote access scenarios.  For future reference, here is what we found:
    1.  Users that remote via VPN couldn't log in:  Browser configuration issue - needed to add the domain to the Trusted Sites or Local Intranet (i.e. *.domain.com) because they weren't being authenticated when they turned on their personal machines that were off the network.
    2.  Users logging in to domain but not getting authenticated via SSO:  Browser configuration issue - one particular group was not set to use Windows Integrated Authentication in IE by default.
    3.  Users logging in to domain but not getting authentication via SSO:  Unknown browser configuration issue - although all browser settings seemed to be okay, one group had their browser settings reverted to default and everything started working.
    4.  Users logging into another domain first couldn't get logged into our BOE:  Trust issue - although a trust had been established between our two domains, lag time to actually get logged into the system was over 10 minutes.  We will be investigating Active Directory Federation Service as a way to create a "shortcut" between the two domains.  In the meantime we have deployed BOE enterprise accounts for those users.

  • Apache/Tomcat Access denied????

    hello.
    I am trying3 to run. Apache 1.3.26 and tomcat 4.0 together on Windows 2000 Pro and have had no luck. I configured the httpd.conf file with these statements and the corresponding files are in the correct directories
    <statements>
    # Load mod_jk
    LoadModule jk_module libexec/mod_jk.dll
    # Configure mod_jk
    JkWorkersFile c:/apache-tomcat-4.0/conf/jk/workers.properties
    JkLogFile c:/apache-tomcat-4.0/logs/mod_jk.log
    JkLogLevel info
    Include c:\apache-tomcat-4.0\conf\auto\mod_jk.conf
    </statements>
    now when I start up Apache.(I use a console to start it.) It tells me that Apache 1.3.26 and mod_jk1.1.0 are both running. But.... if I go to the url http://localhost/examples/jsp. I get a page not found error. Same for the http://localhost:8080(page not found). So I went to the services manager, and I tried to run the service from there and it gave me an access denied prompt. I tried the startup.bat and that didn't work either. Plus I did a reboot and did the steps in reverse order, no luck there eithr.
    Anyone ever had this problem , anyone know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.
    Brian

    Okay I have woked it down that I need to tag some properties or conf file but I need to know which file. I saw somthing about using <ApacheConfig path="<MOD_JK_Home>"> but where would I set this tag.
