StageWebView Touch Scroll

Hey all,
Is it possible to ditch the standard scroller on the right hand side of StageWebView and have a touch scroll instead?
I'm developing an App for a Windows 8 tablet and having the scroll bars seems a little strange when the rest of the OS and App has nice touch scrolls..

If this is Windows 8 only, you might as well use the HTMLLoader because that is basically what StageWebView does on desktop computers per the ASDOCs:
"On desktop computers (in the desktop and extended desktop profiles), the StageWebView class uses the system web control provided by the Flash Player plugin. The features available and rendering appearance are the same as those of the HTMLLoader class (without the close integration and script bridging between ActionScript and JavaScript provided by an HTMLLoader instance).".
If you take a look at this method of the HTMLLoader object, you can create a new NativeWindow within your AIR app that contains an HTMLLoader object. The 3rd parameter is a boolean on whether to show or hide the scroll bars. From what I can tell, there isnt any other way with the provided API. If you don't want to go through the hassle of creating a new NativeWindow in your app, you could possibly have the HTMLLoader's width set to be the size of the flash.display.Screen.mainScreen.bounds.width + X, where X is a known width of the Windows 8 scroll bar within the HTMLLoader and that would, in theory, push the scroll bar off the side of the screen so you can't see it. You might also be able to to try to use flash.html.HTMLLoader.window property to access "The global JavaScript object for the content loaded into the HTML control". With that object, you could use JavaScript code to try and hide the scrollbars as well. So there are a few options available to you. Im not sure how well the last one will work but seems like it could be worth trying. If the app can be on Windows 8 computers that don't have touch capability, you may want to check to see if flash.ui.Multitouch.supportsTouchEvents returns true or false to determine if you want to hide the scrollbars or not.

It is not possible to create it using the out of the Box features of Adobe Muse.
You might have to use some JQuery code to create it.

Dude, Daphy, you have to know something. He says that the touch pad doesnt work "at all". Meaning it wont highlight over anything to select to play or get to the time or anything. Accesing the recovery mode you can do, but the only thing you can access is the first option, which you can easily select, but you cant highlight yes because the TOUCH PAD DOESN"T WORK!!!!! Some of these administrators have to know the same thing im telling you. And i suggest that the person with the problem with their player should return it for a new one and sell the new one for money to buy like a Rio or ipod. Cuz the same problem is going to happen with the new Zen Touch. Beli've me, it happened twice to me and im gonna get an ipod photo to p-o the creative people.

Touch scrolling fails in Outlook 2013

Recently the ability to use the touch screen to scroll through email messages has failed on my Surface Pro II running Office 365's (Office 2013's) version of Outlook. I can get the touch scrolling \to work by removing and recreating the Outlook profile, but as soon as I activate the iCloud add-in for calendar and contacts, the touch scrolling fails. I have no iCloud email account. The mouse scrolling through messages works fine. The connection between Outlook and iCloud has operated perfectly until just the last few days. Any suggestions?

If this is an Exchange account, why are you trying to configure it as a POP3 or IMAP account?
Anyway, time-out issues are usually caused by having a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook.
Which do you have installed?
Depending on your virus scanner solution (even when it is just a trial), you must either uninstall or disable this integration component. Testing it with your virus scanner disabled is not a proper test; you really need to disable the integration part.

Help. Ipod touch scroll stuck!

Um, yeah, pretty much what the subject title says. I've tried restarting it and just letting it sit and it's been two days and it still won't work. The touch scroll refuses to move. And so now I'm restoring my ipod yet again but if anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Lost touch "scroll" after windows updates installed

after todays cumulative update for windows 10 was installed, i lost touch scroll/swipe functions. listed in Windows update along with the cumulative patch was an item named "eGalaxtouch - other hardware-usb controller a802).seeing as there is no way to deselect it, it was installed with the cumullative patch. however right after the install, touch scorlling and swiping are non functional. anyone else run into this? any workaround/fixes for this issue?? i did a system restore to just before the update, which gave me back full functions. But windows is again automatically downloading and installing both updates again! there is no way to choose which updates to install, nor opt out of.does HP have an updated driver for touch??? when the windowsupdate installs that "egalaxytouch" update, the touchscreen is useless. and with auto updating, it's a literal install/uninstall loop. i'm starting to regret upgrading to windows10. and with that said, has anyone tried the "roll back to prior version" option in recovery? it's valid for only 30days. i am thinking of going back but am wondering if anyone was successful running that recovery before i try it myself.

No fix as far as i'm aware. my last post is just a workaround until the driver issue is sorted out. It's not so much that you need a driver for this to work. You have to roll back the offending driver so that we can use the last good driver. And yes, i bbelieve that W10 will install updates as it pleases unless you have W10 Pro. W10 Pro can at least defer updates. I'm hoping that a fixed update comes soon so i don't have to defer them for too long. I miss the old 'Hide update' option from before. But as i said, this is just a workaround so you can get your updates then roll back the driver. Hi Srinvas,
One way you might consider doing this is to create a simple text file and store it in the Portal Knowledge Management (KM), you can then control who can edit that file in the standard way using KM permissions.
In your code you can then read the content of that file using the KM API. To make the text scroll like a stock ticker you would use some JavaScript if you search on Google for "JavaScript Ticker" you will find any number of ways to achieve that.

FOR Adobe Muse Widget: Want an iPhone iTune-like format - touch scroll (l/r), smaller, attached

Hi everyone...
Does anyone know if this exists for Muse within Windows for either a desktop, tablet or iPhone format?
I want the same type of widget or touch (scroll right or left) panels like iTunes has: Apple - iTunes - Everything you need to be entertained...with each of the little Windows being capable of receiving a separate image OR a custom layout within each one. (I know Muse has forms...but they take up 1 panel per window. I want the type like iTunes where there's (say) 3 visible within the width of a phone.

If you are referring to small description with image and links to other pages , then you simply use text and rectangles to achieve that.
Or if you want separate sections on page for different segment of information , you can try compositions where insert the contents in container and with trigger you can configure mouse action.
Please let me know if I am missing something here , exact details and screenshots will help.

Touch scrolling sometimes switches selected tab randomly

when ever i try to brows using my touchscreen and I scroll down (flick up) my selected tab will sometimes change to the next tab (switches to the tab to the right). This behavior only occurs in Firefox 4 and I have never have had this problem in Firefox 3.6. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

After further testing I have found that the touch screen jester of scrolling down on a page is being also imputed as a scroll weal jester on the tab bar. This action with tab mix plus causes "Allow scrolling to select tabs" option causes the above behavior. Without this option enabled though instead of switching tabs it will scroll through tab overflow (when there are more tabs then will fit on the screen) like a normal Firefox scroll weal down jester on the tab bar.
From this behavior it almost seems that for some reason Firefox 4 is taking flicks to mean both a scroll weal down on the page and on the tab bar at the same time. (this behavior happens in safe-mode as well)

Phone App - Responds very slow or delay to touch/scroll

Hmmm... not good.
You are describing the classic "Battery Drain" problem and you will find a lot of post here about that issue.
On my current phone iP4 #2, I ran into a little problem while updating to iOS4.1 and ended up doing a "Setup/Configure as new".
I don't know if I had the problem on phone #2 or would have if I had not done the "Setup as new" but in any case my phone does not have the battery drain or heat problem.
Check some of the other post on this. The general gist of the problem is that during the iOS-4.1 update a piece of code (modem firmware) gets hung in a loop using a tremendous amount of CPU resources and of course BATTERY.
Some claim they have done the setup as new two or three time to clear this problem. And Oh by the way don't due a restore afterward and make sure you do a sync prior to doing the setup as new then after the setup as new just re-sync and all your apps and music... etc. should be restored to your phone.

Magic Mouse - Can't Stop Touch Scroll

Using Magic Mouse with Late 2013 MBPR, can't stop "Scroll direction: natural - Content tracks finger movement"
Turning this setting off in System Settings/Mouse/Point & Click has no effect whatsoever. Restart/Shutdown afterward doesn't work. Deleting Bluetooth plist file with Shutdown/Restart doesn't work. Nothing.
Does anyone know how to make this stop? Thank you for any help you can give.

Why doesn't multi-touch scrolling work in my Macbook Air?

I just upgraded my (first edition) Macbook Air to Lion. Unfortunately, I've found that two-fingered scrolling does not work in Mail and Safari (and probably other apps as well). When I try to scroll with two fingers, the cursor won't move at all. Other two-fingered gestures, such as zoom and pinch, work fine. Any ideas what's wrong? I checked the system preferences under both Trackpad and Keyboard and didn't see anything useful. Thanks!

3G spin/touch/scroll wheel not working

after about 3 times of restoring this iPod, it has yet to fix anything that's wrong with my wheel.
it stopped working yesterday when I tried to update it manually. the other buttons work but this still doesn't allow me to search for artists, playlists, etc.
what should I DO!!?? this thing is far passed it's warranty date, and I really don't feel like buying another iPod/paying to get it repaired. it's just the wheel that doesn't work. HELLLLPPPP !!??!!

Just to understand the sequence: you have this problem when you are in a Firefox tab, click a link, and it opens in a:
* new window
* new tab
* same tab
I'm guessing a new window. Since the title bar area is a bit faded, some other window must have the focus, but which one?? If you press and hold the Alt key and press and release the Tab key, you should get the visual Task Switcher pane. The icon to the left of the current highlighted icon indicates the window that had the focus. If you then click that first icon, is it another Firefox window, or some other app?
