Standard Overhead distribution process in SAP

Hi...!
I need to work on Standard Overhead distribution process in SAP. As per my understanding Overhead Distribution process means - Assessment & Distribution.
If my understanding is wrong, Please help me by providing some inputs to proceed further.
Thanks,
Anil

hi  Anil
You bare right. To allocate overhead expenses from OH Cost Centre to Other Cost objects ( CCtr,WBS Element,Orders etc) you can se Assessment cycle or Distribution cycle.
For Plan
   1. Creat assessment cycle T.code KSU7 and execute T.code KSUB
    2. Creat Distri Cycle T.code KSV7 and execute T.code KSVB

  • Import standard Purchase Order process and interface tables

    Hi all,
We are populating three PO interface tables from our custom developed application. PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE and PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE. We are using 11.5.10.2 version of Oracle Apps.
Initially we did not manage to populate the distributions interface table, but, now we are populating it. And after doing so, when we run the Import standard Purchase Order process for 'Approved' POs, the process_id for even the record which has correct distributions info also gets 'Rejected' as a value. The process is considering a mix of records : the approved POs that DO NOT HAVE distribution info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE (which we had not managed to populate) and the approved POs that HAVE distribution info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE.
does the Import standard Purchase Order process populate partial data that could be good or it rejects the whole lot of records?
Can anyone guide on this issue?
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Aparna

Another piece of info I would like to share is
I have run the process for an approved PO with distributions info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE. This time no mixed data. In PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS table, an entry was found: for column name : PO_DISTRIBUTION_ID in ERROR_MESSAGE column 'Error: Has no distributions'.
Edited by: Aparna on Jul 24, 2009 8:03 AM
After carrying out number of tests, I have found out that
    1) if the approval_status for the po is 'Approved' in the po_headers_interface table, it gives the above mentioned error and the process_id is 'rejected'.
    2) if the approval_status for the po is 'Incomplete' in the po_headers_interface table, the process add the 'accepted' value for the process_id. But, the charge account number is not populated in shipments.

There has been some progress on this issue. The process sees distributions data into the PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE table. Yet the following errors are found in the process log file:
    Start dist default process
    before getting period name
    after getting period name
    -->Intfc error occurred ...PO_PDOI_INVALID_GL_ENC_PER
    before workflow
    unit price = 18.5, rate = , unit price in functional currency = 18.5
    after workflow
    Start dist creation process
    Start dist validation process
    -->Intfc error occurred ...PO_PDOI_INVALID_BUDGET_ACCT
Start insert new record into po_distributions
    Distribution ID: 252
    dist num: 1
    last updated by: 1189
    po header id: 5283
    po line id: 5878
    line loc id: 5924

    ROW ID: AAHUc1AFPAAAQ04AAC
    call tax
Rollback for the Last Errored Line: 10

We opened new GL periods for the calendar and yet same errrors are seen. Can anyone suggest any solution?

  • ABAP Mapping - Message shown in Standard Change List Process Log

    Hi
I am working with ABAP Mapping program. I had created ABAP class using ABAP workbench. Before this, in exchangeProfile..data was provided for com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes ==>> as " R3_ABAP|Abap-class;R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP Engine) " and 'Saved'.
In Interface Mapping, after providing the Class Name under 'Mapping Program' and activated. After activation (Standard Change List), it is showing the following messages under 'Processing Log'.
--> Standard Change List - Process Log message
Activation of the change list canceled Check result for Interface Mapping IM_ABAP_MAPPING | http://ABAP_Mapping_SREE:  Type R3_ABAP of
program ZSREETEST is invalid because it is not registered in the exchange profile . Check the values for the exchange profile parameter

Can some one please guide me in resolving the ABAP mapping issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sree,
The log says that there is ABAP mapping included in your exchange profile. Do the things what michal have told and also check your mapping program whether working fine or not in SXI_MAPPING transaction.

  • Approval before COST DISTRIBUTION Process

    Hi,
Is there any standard functionality (in 12.0.6) of Approval available before Cost Distributions ?
After importing actual transactions, creating pre-approved batches or doing Project Transfer, user want to put restriction on Cost Distribution. They want Approval should come into the picture before running Cost Distribution process.
Really appreciate any standard or customize idea.
    Regards,
    Khan.

    Hi
The workaround you may consider is enabling the requests of cost distributions only for certain responsibility. Give that responsibility to the user who would check the expenditure and approve them. After the approval that user would run the cost distribution.

  • Pharma business process in sap

    Hi friends,
Can any one explain about "pharma business process in sap" and , how it works in sap.
    bye
    raju

    hi
normally a pharmaceutical companies have multiple division plants c&f's.
all the drugs medicines which are manufactured will be sent to warehouses and from their to various sales offices or C&F's.
from these C&F's the goods will be sent to distribution channels like wholesales or hospitals depends on the business process.
companies have to send promotional materials and samples to its sales officers.

  • In Processing with SAP

    Hello Experts,
I could not confirm a message when it is still "In Processing with SAP". Is this standard? How should we customize this so that messages can still be confirmed even if it is still with SAP. Thank you.
    regards,
    Grace

    Hi Algrace,
Try with AI_SDK_SP_AUTO_CLOSE. I hope this report, You can close the message with the status "In Process By SAP" too,
but SAP's standard practise we are not supposed to close CRM ticket which are in INPROCESS by sap. this lead inconsistency. Even sap provided another report AI_SDK_SP_AUTO_CLOSE_2 which prevent the ticket confirmation when the ticket with SAP Still opens.
All the needed information for how to create this report and usage available in the SAP note 1498458 - AI_SDK_SP_AUTO_CLOSE: Eliminate status inconsistencies and also refer the sap note 1792409.
    Thanks

  • Distribution Planning within SAP - APO 3.0 or SCM 4.0

    Hi,
Can do any 'Distribution Planning' within SAP SCM V4.0 or V5.0.
We are trying to  improve  'decision-making' associated with selection of a particular warehouse  for shipments coming out of a specific plant. The application should be able to produce a recommended set of shipments by week from each plant. Critical inputs that go into the process will be (a) Procurement Forecast; (b) Production Forecast; (c) Warehouse Space; (d) Production Plan etc
Can this be done utilizing SAP APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 or SCM 5.0?
    Thanks

    Hi Tushar,
APO 3.0, SCM 4.0 nd SCM 5.0 all provide replenishment, distribution and deployement along with basic transportation planning functionalities wihin SNP (Suppluy Network Module) of APO. With SCM 5.0 you get other applications (along with APO) like EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and better transportation planning features.
Moreover it makes sense to go in for the lastest version of the solution to get the latest set of features. Please check on help.sap.com under my SAP Business Suite >> SCM >> APO >> SNP or http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/scm/featuresfunctions/index.epx for more details.

  • Can standard workbooks for Process Manufacturing support descriptive Flex?

Can standard workbooks for Process Manufacturing support descriptive Flexfields in Discoverer 10i??
I'm not sure if that is so, and I wouldn't want to create views and folders and then realizing that it could've been done in a standrard fashion.
Can anyone help me please. My email is [email protected]
    Thanks
    Rafael

    Hi,
The question is too generic. Can be specific with examples?
To answer your query, every movement of the goods at stage of WIP can be analysed with the conversion costs incurred till that stage using operation wise confirmation in SAP ECC 6.0. IT support required would that of SAP consultants from modules PP, MM and CO.

  • Reporting processes in SAP...

    Gurus
Will any of you, Gurus able to explain to me how- reporting processes in SAP- are performed from a SAP MM perspective?
    Thanks,
    rash

    Hi,
Not sure if the question is clear...
Do you want to know how the MM reports are used / read / developed / built  to produce the report outputs what we in general see in SAP?
Well, with whatever best I could understand from your question, the answer is -
There are various levels of reports (types) available in SAP:
    1) Based on Transactional Data in SAP, using ABAP programming language, in SE38 transaction, programmers develop custom reports apart from those standard ones available in each module/submodule of SAP.
    2) Next higher level is information systems (Logistics Information Systems)
    3) Next Higher Level you have Executive Information Systems
First one above is more useful to end users of daily transactional processing like buyers, store keepers, and little bit above them, managers
Second and 3rd are useful for summarized reports for example, what is spent on purchases of a particular set of raw materials in a specific period from a group of vendors....there are infinite such reports again.....
The next level of combination of 2 and 3 above is the currently available BW or BI business information warehouse of Business Intelligence......
You can develop reports as you wish for the business requirements of your project.
ABAP team can help.  Functional consultants will guide the programmers on what are the process requirements based on which the report has to be developed and how the output should appear.  If this is not what you asked, please ignore

  • User is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP as it tries to send an email to a user who have left the company

    Hi Experts,
I need to remove a name on a group list in Outlook as the user is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP (He sends the invoice for approval and emails get sent to different users for approval.) One of those users has left the company and so the user gets a email delivery failure error.
How do I remove this user who is no longer with the company?
The user is saying: When I approve an invoice in SAP it sends an email notification through outlook. One of those users is no longer with the company so it cannot deliver the notification, and in return send a delivery failure (in outlook). I am approving the invoices from my SAP Workplace inbox.
How do we know what group the email is going to?
Please let me know if you have seen this issue before. Greatly appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Asad

    Hi,
Please check whether you are using a custom z program for sending emails of approved invoices to users. If yes then either the user email ids are hardcoded in the program else a ztable is maintained for them.
