Dear Prema D.
the easiest way is to go to the marc table and check for the Cost Esimate updated in the material or not

While creating material master user after selecting a particular plant user sees all the storage locations available in the system. How to restrict the storage location list applicable to particular plant while material creation
    Best Regards,
    BM

    Hi,
As Mahesh said , you need to put validation there, please contact your development team for this.
Though you are able to see all storgae location you are not able to create the material master, it throws as error if you select incorrect storage location which is not maintained for that particulare plant.
    It gives an error message
Entry Plant SL  does not exist in T001L (check entry)
So user will not be able to create material master for improper plant SL combination.
    Thanks,

  • Sales Order Cost Estimates -- Versions?

In our MTS plant we are creating cost estimates each month with different version numbers so they can easily be compared to review cost changes.
This concept in our MTO plant is (of course) a problem.
We would like to create a dummy sales order and on each line list a KMAT and build an "average" configuration.  We use variant config, so the sales order bom is built automatically.  It also costs automatically.  We would like to save this cost estimate and compare it with a cost estimate of the same configuration next month.   I do not have an option for version CK51n, nor do I see a Costing Date in KEKO table.  Either of these items for MTS would create a second cost estimat and allow comparison.
Is there a way to compare Sale Order Cost Estimates across periods?
Any other suggestions as to how to obtain the required data??
    Thank you for all suggestions!!

Any one think of a solution?
    thanks

  • Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"

    Hi people,
    We have the error:
    =====================
Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
The system has found that the current plan period is not filled forproduct "117122" in plant "UBE1".
We have the follow configuration in trans.: KE40:
    . Determine material cost estimate
       . Transf. Standard Cost Estimate
    . Costing Variant
. Control Data for Standard Cost Estimate
. Period Indicator = "Current Standard Cost Estimate acc. to entry in mat master
    . Addiitonal data CO-PC
. Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency  "activated"
We think the reason about our error is because the field above is activated and some configuration more is necessary for this case. For examplo: Trans.: OKYW and this one was not configurated yet.
    Do you know what happend?
If we need to configure some transation, or sonly process the cost estimate?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

    Hello Guido
Thank you very much for your return.
It is happenning in a Client that some people are doing the configuration.
Before we didin't have in KE40, the fiel "Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency" activated.
And now, the people activate that in this new Client and I don't know the impact about that.
I think we have to make the configuration in OKYW.
The other transation you told me, we don't have any information.
Could you tell me some other idea what happend?
Message error is just "Message no. KE350"
    Abou claculate the cost:
It was calculated by trans.: CK11N for future planning and the real wasn't not possible to release because this material already have moviments.
Could you tell us is there is some thing more to do?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

  • Error during variance calculation for production order "NO cost estimate "

    hi all,
I'm gettin this error message while trying to calculate the variance for a production order. error is "No cost estimate for material xxxx for 01.10.2008.
when i look at material xxx in MM02, under cost estimate for current period there is a value but nothing for previous period. So i'm guessing the the Cost estimate was not run of this material? am i correct here?
Now if i try to run cost estimate for material for the missing periods using CK11N, i get an error "cannot save for past period"
Could some one tell me how can i get a prior year estimate into the material master?
I tried CK40N and CKN1 but just cant get it to work...
    Thanks heaps

    Hi Tom
unfortunately there is no easy way to get a product cost estimate for a past date. One of the reasons for this would be inconsistant product valuation.
You could in theory create a cost estimate in a current date and use an ABAP or manually adjust the valid from and to dates directly in the tables (e.g. KEKO). To do this in a production environment would be restrictive off course.
The standard cost estimate is the basis for the target costs so as an alternative you could look to change the configuration of the target cost version in OKV6 to either of the following:
    - Plan Cost/Preliminary Costing (that is the plan calc done on your production order)
    - Alternative Material Cost Estimate (one that is not necessarily a product costing that is set for marking and release).
I hope this is of some help.

  • Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product " 200038 "

    Hi,
    I am getting an error:
Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product " 200038 "  (Message KE350).
    Kindly assist on the same?

If this material is mto material go to t.code KE40 and maintain define access to standard cost estimate define cost key with
    "Transfer sales orde cost estimatex".
If it is mts material define costing key with Transfer std cost estimate  and in costing data
    costing variant : ppc1
    costing verstion: 1
period  indicator:  Release std cost estimate matching with goods issue or material costing matching posting date.
    This will resolve ur problem.

  • Additive Cost Estimate Report

    Hi Gurus ,
We need a additive cost estimate Report that would show the Material,Plant, additive cost (in dollars NOT "x" as shown in KEKO or KEPH table).
for the above I tried a simple Querry with MARC-KEKO-KEPH (didn't conside MBEW-MARA) , in SQ01 But the end resul is same as KEKO table Just Showing the "x" mark,
Users can not go for individual validation after doing a Mass upload of CK76N using LSMW  so would like to see a detailed report with Dollar amount and comare it with their Books.
I searched SDN for this kind of report But no useful information,
    Your Help Greately Appreciated,
Note: please don't say Use, KEKO, KEPH tables,Thank you ,
    Sandhya

You can look at Functional Modules in SE37. You can as well execute them in test in the tcode to provide the input values, it would show the out put values as well.
You need to provide your requirements by explaining what you are achieving in CK76n and how they are stored in Tables KEKO, etc... and ask him to build a program using the above functional modules.
Infact if the above functional modules doesnot work, you can ask the ABAPer to use the same function modules used in CK76n to get the information and make the requirement changes to meet your requirements.

That is for raw material it  up dates Standared price and for Semi /Fg its up dates MAP.
    my Question is
Is both Standared cost and MAP must be same or can be differ .

  • CK666 error in cross company code  cost estimate

    Dear All,
We have activated multiple valuations/transfer prices : legal, group and profit center valuations.
We perform cost estimate run in ck40n for profit center valuation and get error
Material 20000035/plant FZ03: Transfer price could not be found.
    Message no. CK666
    Diagnosis
When switching profit center A ->B (from the material component to the costing object), a transfer price could not be determined for transfer price variant 0 in respect of material 20000035 in plant 1.
    System Response
If you carry out costing for a profit center valuation, material 20000035 goes into the cost estimate without a value.
If you create a cost estimate for group valuation, profit from material 20000035 is not transferred into the cost component split.
    Procedure
Check the settings for transfer price variant 0.
We have checked this material. Manufacturing plant belongs to  company code A.
To get cost estimate for plant 2 which belongs to company code B we use procurement types in material master.
It requires now transfer price variant. But we do not want to use this functionality.
How can we solve this issue?
    With best regards,
    Kamila.

    HI Kamila.
There is a difference in the way PCA handles determining costs:
If transfer prices are activated it's necessary to determine either a transfer price via pricing or to exclude the relevant material
from the transfer prices scenario via user-exit 'EXIT_SAPLPCRW_003'.
Please note that the determination of a transfer price and the creation of additional PCA lines are independent of each other. You cannot control the determination of a transfer price by means of your 0KEK settings. So if you want that no transfer price is used for a material please use exit 'EXIT_SAPLPCRW_003' here. Pricing will then not be called and the system automatically uses the current
material price from the profitcenter view.
Please have a look at the note [458543 |https://css.wdf.sap.corp/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000458543]which provides further information regarding this exit.

  • Cost estimate number

    Hello CO experts,
Could anyone help me understand on what basis SAP generates Cost estimate number? I mean, every time I run CK11N and save does SAP creates a new Cost estimate number? Does it also stores in KEKO/KEPH when CK11N is run n saved? How different would it be when CK40N is run? Anyone of you happen to know/research on this?
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards,
    SC

    Hi,
a new plan cost estimate number is created for every material / plant combination that is costed the first time.
Every additional plan cost estimation uses the same plan cost estimation number but the costing version (KALKA), costing date (KADKY), the calculation version (TVERS), valuation variant (BWVAR) differs and creates a new record in table KEKO:

  • Confuguarable Material Cost Estimate

    Hi All.,
    It is an urgent requirement.......
My client having both configuarable & non configuarable materials.....
with regarding to the configuarable material cost estimate i don't have good grip on this.
Can anybody please share some guidlines for how to create the cost estimate.....
    Thanks one and all.,
    Raja

Configurable materials can only have a cost estimate when there is a sales order bom to define the build.
We use configurable material and the cost estimate is configured in the same manner as standard material (Costing variant, costing dates, transfer control, etc. but some of the details differ), but it is only Saved within a Sales order. You can use CU50 for a trial cost - the configuration will have to be created in CU50 before it will cost.
When costing configurable materials in sales orders or for sales orders the valuation variant is different from standard cost variant in these points:
1 - The costing type is different. 18 - Sales order costing vs. 01 - Standard cost est. (mat.)
The Costing type for Sales order does not allow updating of the standard price in the Mat Mstr
The Costing type for Sales order also controls the use of Labor overhead for the costing variant.
2 - Valuation Variant can be different - Valuation for Prod Costing specifies the rules to build a cost estimate. For Sales order, you may want it to use ONLY the standard price for a material/component, and NOT build a cost estimate.
3 - Date control - The default “from” date for the Config Mat in a Sales order is “Today” while for product costing it is “first of next month”
Our Prod Cost Est. is valid until the end of the Fiscal year when a new cost estimate is released. Our Config Material on a Sales order is valid until the end of time.
I cannot explain “why” we chose one over the other, most of the decisions were made before I arrived. But the Costing Type Difference is very important to us, because there is no chance that the cost estimate will interfere with setting of standards and it allows “searching” for a Sales Order Cost estimate.
You have to analyze how each part of the costing variant could impact the business and decide how to set it. If circumstances change, you can review the settings later. (I fully intend to review some of ours directly after this conversation.)
Sales Order Costing Variants are on OKY9 while product costing is at OKKN
Sales Order Costing Variants are assigned under SD “Maintain Requirements Classes for Costing/Account Assignment (table T459K)
    Hope this helps.

  • Cost Estimate Deletion Problem

    Hi,
I have executed the cost estimate for the material. Now i wanted to delete it in CKR1 as it is incorrect. So that i can execute a new cost estimate for this.
but my doubt is - if we execute cost estimate, then it will update in material master costing view.If i delete and then execute new cost estimate for the same material.will the new rates will be update? or the old incorrect rates are not deleted?
    Kindly advise me
    Thanks
    Supriya

From the time you run a cost estimate, till the time it reaches the material master, there are three stages.
First run and save the cost , Second mark the cost estimate, Third release the cost estimate.
There is no change to the material master for the first two stages with respect to material value. When you mark, it just updates the future price. Only at the third stage, the material price changes with the new cost estimate value.  For any quantity that is in stock, the change in vaule is journalised.
Hence, if you have just run the cost estimate, you are only in the first stage. You can comfortably delete CKR1. But please exercise caution, any wrong deletion can take away the cost estimate stored in the material master. This does not take away the standard price, only the estimate gets removed. As a result, you may not be able to get the cost component report for production order etc.
When you are in CKR1, open up the small plus icon, which will give you more selection option to help you pinpoint the cost estimate that you want to delete.
You can also check details of the current cost estimate in the costing view to find out which cost estimate has got updated in the standard price.

  • Std Cost Estimate-Processwise

I have a requirement and seek your clarification:
Here we are in the process of settings of Product Costing.  The client wants to have a display of cost estimate as follows:
Here the production process has 3 stages.  Once the Standard Costing is run, it should be able to view the cost estimate as follows:
Process-I : Raw Material Cost  xx
                       Direct Labour Cost  xx
                       Overheads              xx
Process-II : Raw Material Cost  xx
                       Direct Labour Cost  xx
                       Overheads              xx
Process-III : Raw Material Cost  xx
                       Direct Labour Cost  xx
                       Overheads              xx
What is the best way out ?  Do I have to have different cost elements for same item process-wise ?
    Please give your inputs.

    Hi Nikitha
I am not able to understand where your issue is...
This requirement is pretty standard and is addressed with in std SAP itself....
For each of these process,I am sure, you would be having a separate material code.... i.e. say, raw mat 1 is inputted... After passing through Process 1, It is termed as SFG A... Then A passes through Process 2 and the outcome is termed as SFG B and similarly FG C
Each Material A, B and C has its own BOM and routing.... BOM for B, will have A as component and BOM for C will have B as component....
When you execute CK11N for each one of these, cost for each A B and C is stored separately because each material is a separate entity in itself.. There is no reason why you would define separate GL accounts for them...
In CK13N, each one of them will show you its own cost...
You can await inputs from other members also...

Check if the material is new, you need a production orders and the valuation is standard. Perhaps you need to do the product costing. Without cost you dont have VPRS condition. Look for help from PP and/or CO consultants.
